My daughter was eager to have her ears pierced, and a friend recommended Rob at Route 9. I called and easily made a same-day appointment. Everyone at the shop was knowledgeable and kind; they knew my daughter was nervous and helped her feel welcome and at ease. Multiple people also took time to ensure we both understood how to care for the piercings, and the shop was very clean. Rob was extremely professional, swift and reassuring. I highly recommend him and will take my other daughter to him for her own ear piercings if she chooses to have them done.

Got my first tattoo done yesterday with Bosco Layne as I'd seen a lot of his fine line work on Instagram and felt it would suit the design I wanted perfectly. Natalia is the absolute best! Got my first tattoo here and it was pretty big, took 5 hours and I didn’t even feel any of it she had such a light touch. She has the best calming energy and I will go back to her for all my future tattoos, love her! Such a good experience and atmosphere.

Went to re-pierce my nose and the piercer was nice, but did not tell me how much of a hassle it would be for me to get a ring. The friction a ring causes is a recipe for piercing bumps. When I reached out to this place 3 times for a remedy, no one responded to me. I will not be going back and I need my money back.

I’ve had 2 very different experiences at this place. My first was a tattoo by Bosco which went great and I got exactly what I wanted and the staff was super friendly. The second visit was earlobe piercing for my 7 y/o daughter. I thought I was making the best decision by taking her to a professional piercer but not only was he unfriendly and made us feel rushed (you shouldn’t pierce children if this is the way you work, IMO) but he botched the left side. About 8 months after the piercing we took her earrings out for a sports event and 3 days later when we went to replace them to left side had completely closed up, while the right side had remained open. We went to a different piercer who works more with children to have it redone. This piercer was able to point out how the initial piercings were not symmetrical. Additionally he said that the left side had been pierced at an angle instead of straight through, and that the needle had come out a little too close to the cartilage, both errors ensuring that the piecing would have problems and that he was completely unsurprised that it had closed up so quickly. The original piercer from Rte 9 told us he only pierces with hoops, which second piercer said is considered an outdated practice in the piercing community. So in conclusion: tattoos at Rte 9 - yes. Piercings - no.

I just left Rt 9 a few hours ago and started looking for where I could write this review. The long story short: 5/5 I recommend it to anyone in the area. Full story: A few months ago I went in to sit down with artist Bosco Layne, and give him an idea of what I wanted. I had trouble voicing exactly what I wanted but I brought reference pictures of other work I liked and some of his that I liked. A few weeks later I saw what he came up with and was thrilled. I was still booked a little while out so I had two sessions booked to just make any revisions I wanted and then the appointment. Bosco came up with something I liked so much I didn’t need any revisions so these meetings were moot, but I’m glad we had the time to sit between them and reflect that I didn’t want to change anything out. That leads me to today. The appointment went great, and the tattoo came out better than I could have hoped. The pricing was more than fair, and I couldn’t be happier. They take COVID precautions seriously, I was temperature checked and everyone was masked the entire time I was there. I will be coming back to them in the future if I add on to this or get new work done for sure.

He also made sure I liked the location and sizing of my tattoos. It was my first time getting a tattoo and it was a great experience. i got my first tattoo here. Matt is a great artist and I love the tattoo. as a first timer it was nice and i learned. if i ever go again. Have a warm shirt in winter and not use a coat. Matt was nice professional and talked when needed to! If i ever want another tattoo would go here but Family said no more co workers want me to do a sleeve and now who did my tattoo. Me let me recover and save up Also the day after My car died Laugh at the small things in life!

I went in for a nose piercing, I called a few hours ahead of time and came in the same day. Everyone there was really nice and I was out of there in 25 minutes, it was very quick and everything seemed nice and clean. I will be going back if I get any future piercings. Cost around 70 dollars 👍 …

I went in for some ear piercings and I waited almost an hour for them to sterilize the room. I asked my piercer if he had any advice for piercings because my ears have different anatomy than most, and he just told me to pick what I wanted... but I didn't know what I wanted! When I was getting my piercings done, my piercer didn't even mark anything to show me what it would look like first. And $35 per piercing PLUS the cost of the jewelry is a little much compared to other places I have visited. They were all super nice, but not sure how I feel about going back.

Absolutely wonderful spot for tattoos! I've gotten several there and have worked with 3 different artists - all very talented and professional. Also very generously priced for the work that they do! I'm not sure about the piercings, but definitely for tattoos, I highly highly recommend.

I have been here twice before for piercings. Many of my friends have gone here for tattoos and piercings. The staff is very professional and extremely prompt. I was in a out in a total of fifteen minutes both times I got my helix pierced. They have competitive pricing and a very calm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend it!!

I had a great experience at Rt 9 tattoo. I was booked for a consult with Andre. After looking at my design, he felt it was not something he could do. He asked 2 other artists if they could, and they could not. He explained clearly to me what their concern was with the design and recommended someone who might be able to. These are true professionals, who are not tattooing just for money. They are artists who consider the design and if their skillset matches what you are looking for. Highly recommend.

My son got his first tattoo today from Mat Park. It is a medic alert tattoo, as he is diabetic...but don’t be confused, it is incredibly cool. Mat’s artistry is incredible. The shop is clean, safe and well run. I am blown away by how much I LOVE this tattoo!

I just recently got a tattoo on my foot and had Shayna do it. She was fantastic!! I loved my tattoo, I'm an artist so I drew up my tattoo and she did it. She recommended placement and I loved it. No idea who people are talking about at the front desk of being rude but I've been in there several times and never had an issue. I did go in as a walk in and ended up coming back a couple times because of time issues which was fine. Some tattoos are more time consuming than others. I'll definitely go back to Shayna in the future. My second tattoo I had to wait for the guy to come in then get set up which I wasn't happy about. Waited 40 minutes for him to start. The tattoo, again my design, came out great I love it but I wish he was on time since I had other appts that day to get to and it put me very behind but I wanted my tattoo. LOL! I'll wait next time for Shayna tho she was amazing and funny and very personable and on time. They are a bit pricey but well worth it.

I search for a portrait artist and found one at Rt9 Tattoo. John the owner is kind and considerate to his customers. I highly recommend any one, any age going there. Prior to my most recent visit to Route 9 Tattoo, I had 5 of my 6 other tattoos done at other studios. While I haven't had a bad experience at any of the other studios, this most recent visit to Route 9 has me convinced that all of my future tattoo work will be done here. I will detail the reasons why my experience here was so positive by breaking it out: Easy Process: I initially send a message in via Facebook to get an idea for how to approach a consult. All of my other tattoos are relatively small and haven't required much pre-work or discussion, but this project was much different. Someone got back to me in a matter of hours and very clearly explained to me what to do. I stopped by the shop one night when the artist that I wanted to work with (Natalia) was there. I spoke to her briefly and explained my idea. She let me know what timing would be good and how long to book an appointment for. She also explained that we would work out the details via text as we got closer to the date. Finalizing the Design: I sent reference photos and details/meaning to Natalia via text. She replied with a couple of drawings and some follow up questions. We very quickly and very easily came to a final design that literally made my heart skip a beat when I saw it. The Tattoo: Natalia made the entire experience enjoyable, comfortable, and easy. I was at the shop pretty much all day, but it flew by. Throughout the experience I saw that the shop is clean, everyone is professional, and they're dedicated to giving their clients a great experience and a beautiful tattoo. They care about their art and the people that they're working with on it. Overall, I highly recommend Route 9 Tattoo and I also recommend Natalia as an artist. I reviewed the work of all of the artists there and they are all incredibly talented people, so you can't go wrong there, but Natalia is amazing. She also clearly communicated the care of my tattoo and when to stop back in for her to see how it heals and what to expect from any next steps that we may need to take (touch up, etc).

Pretty expensive. I got ear piercing for $77 in both ears. They did not inform me that I cannot go for swimming for a year and that it takes around a year to heal, before doing the piercing. Had I know, wouldn't have gone for it.

Went with my niece and nephew to get their first tattoos. Professional and knowledgeable staff with clean work environment. Comfortable atmosphere, and even though it is on the pricey side, you get what you pay for.
