Just before covid closed everything down, I walked in and asked if they could do an industrial piercing. Within 15 minutes I was in a chair and getting prepped for a piercing with Irish. He did everything quick and precise, all done within a few minutes. I did end up blacking out for a few seconds because I made the mistake of not eating before going in, but Irish stayed very professional and made sure I was okay before letting me leave the parlor. Now 2.5 months later and it's all healed up! Looks great and I love being able to switch it out with different bars depending on how I feel that day. Thanks again for a great first piercing experience!

5 stars for the piercer, 1 for the overall attitude of the artist. One of my friends has been getting pierced by him for years and he came highly recomended. I got a piercing 6 months ago and I liked the work so I came back to get another today. I walked in, 2 artist had their back turned away from me and then turned around to look at me and turned back away without even acknowledging me after I said “Hello.” I almost walked back out due to unwelcoming nature but remembered that I liked the piercer so I put my name on the list and waited outside for him to call me due to the covid protocols. The piercing went well. The price as listed by the sign in sheet is off a little so bring extra cash as they only take cash.

My daughter wanted second earlobe piercing/cartilage piercing done for when she turned 14. I also wanted ear cartilage piercing. Irish is the best! He was gentle and explained how to care for the piercings in great detail. My daughter is beyond happy and we love our piercings. As a small/local business owner, I truly appreciate the attention to detail and care. My husband has a lot of tattoos and knows of Chris (owner?) when he had a space in Donelson so we felt comfortable from the beginning. I like Straight Edge; haven't been tattooed there but have talked to a couple artists that were really cool, gave great info, were just too booked up for what and when I needed. I have been pierced there the piercer is pretty gruff seeming (at least was with me) but very obviously knew what he was doing really well, explained all the important details, and when we finished and got to taking about aftercare he seemed like he really cared. I'd definitely get pierced there again, and would be confident getting tattooed also after talking to the specific artist (they have several), except that I'm super happy with the artist I ended up going to for 2 pretty big pieces.

Went in for a took peircing today. The piercer Irish was really cool. He was easy going and laid back, answered all my questions and shared extra information I found to be valuable. The piercing was easy, really almost painless. He showed me their titanium atomizer and let me know if I decide I want to change my piece and make a cool color they can do that on site at a very reasonable price. It was really cool and a good experience over all. Will absolutely be back.

Definitely a great place to get a piercing or a tattoo. I had my navel pierced here in 2011, and the shop is very clean, the staff is knowledgeable, uses the correct jewelry, and my piercing healed perfectly with no problems. I was so impressed that 4 years later I returned to get my first tattoo. The artist (Cain) made sure that my tattoo was the exact font I wanted, that the placement was perfect, and walked me through the whole process. He was very patient and made sure I understood the aftercare instructions and my tattoo healed perfectly. My tattoo looks great and I'm so glad I chose this shop. Irish has given me 7 ear piercings over the last 3 or 4 years and I have to say that this is probably one of the best piercing shops around. I love how thorough and professional he is. He always makes sure you like the placement, you are feeling okay, and that you know how to properly take care of your piercing. The studio is very clean and everything he does is extremely sanitary. I have never had a single problem with any of my ear piercings (tragus, rook, conch, and 4 helix). I highly recommend Straight Edge.

This review is for Michael at the shop. Michael was kind of enough to help with designing my tattoo. He made it clear how it will turn out if its done a certain way. This showed that he knew what he was talking about. We got it set up for the next day. When I got there the next day, Michael had already drawn up the tattoo to make sure it would fit perfectly. Michael was precise about how he tattooed it. He also was very conversational while being professional. When he got done, I was more than happy with the results. I recommend this place! I read the reviews of all nearby Murfreesboro tattoo shops and this one had the best, and from my experience, I can see why. Had my nose pierced here last night by Irish. 100% positive experience. The place is a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside, and it was all clean and the guys working there were all nice and friendly. Irish talked me through everything and I have NO problems with my piercing. Everyone that has seen it loves it. My tat and other piercings came from places in Dallas before I moved here, so I can't speak for the tattoos, but as far as the piercings go, this one has been superb and the price was less expensive than Nashville. Love it!

I got my lip pierced there a few months ago. I got my vertical labret and it healed amazingly. the piercer, I think his name was irish(?), was amazing. he triple checked the mark he made on my lip and made sure I was good with it. very quick process. I will definitely be coming back for my future piercings.

I've gotten tattooed at this shop for the past few years, on several different occasions. I exclusively use Will Wood as my one and only ink guy. He has done everything for me from roses for my daughters, a full half-sleeve cross with complimentary artwork, an asian-inspired piece on my other arm with a phoenix, dragon, and script. On my calves, he has done portraits of my children on one leg and portraits of characters from the series 'Spartacus' on my other. His work is impeccable. The coloring, shading, creativity, and the ability to take my idea and create an incredibly unique piece is a talent like no other. Not only that, but the portrait work he does is some of THE BEST in the business. They are incredibly life-like, the best shading and filling and line work you will ever get. I've not only used him exclusively for the past 6 years but also have referred my family and friends to him -- even my wife who has gotten incredible lotus flowers done by him. We constantly get compliments for his work, coloring, shading, and creativity. Overall, I love the staff at Straight Edge as well. All the guys there are incredibly cool to be around. The owner, Chris, is very laid back, friendly, and a great artist as well as all the guys are. The shop is always very sterile, clean, organized, and efficient. I've never had any issues with my tattoos, during healing and have never needed a single touch-up on any of Will's work. He goes out of his way for his clients to not only make them feel comfortable, but also has become friends with many of his clients (me and my wife included) because he is not only an incredible and talented tattoo artist, but a great person. I can't speak highly enough of Straight Edge and the work that the entire team does there. 5 of 5 starts and would (and have) personally recommended this shop to ANYONE.

Irish pierced my navel about a year ago - it had been pierced roughly 4 years prior by a tattoo shop in Nashville. The original piercing became infected and caused a blood blister. I took it out with hopes of having it re-pierced. I looked up this shop and decided to give it a go. Irish was super informative and answered all my questions. The process was quick, easy, and nearly painless. He had plenty of navel rings to choose from (unlike the original shop I went to), and the cost was cheap for good quality piercing. Y’all go see him - you won’t regret it!

This was my first time getting a professional piercing (I've pierced myself all other times). They were extremely nice and explained everything thoroughly to me! The guy that pierced my lip was very kind and answered all questions I had. I asked about how to become a professional body piercer (because that's what I want to do) and he helped me out a lot with that. Both me and my fiance go to Chris @ Straight Edge and love our tattoos. Chris keeps you laughing the whole time and is easy to work with. I love that if you go to the shop only wanting to spend x amount of money he will work with that price and tell you how big/detailed it will be. He don't try and talk you into spending more than what you originally wanted. I'm not sure about the rest of the shop but everyone seems laid back, nice, and welcome you when you come in the door. However, A few of my friends that i have recommended go there have said that Will is not friendly at all but people have theirs good and bad days i guess. Our next tats will be in September and I'm stoked to see how they will come out! :D

When I left they equipped me with a paper that had aftercare instructions and a phone number for additional questions and concerns. First off i would like to say that Will Harper is a piercing guy, NOT a tattoo guy as stated below by that little harpy. Second of all, the tattoo shop itself is VERY clean. Every needle is individually sealed in tight medical looking packaging. Every part of the tattoo gun is sealed in packaging and VERY clean for each individual client. Each artist not only uses a pair of medical grade latex gloves...I saw my tattoo guy Will Wood change his gloves at least 3 times during my 2 hour session. I would HAPPILY recommend this shop and especially Will Wood for all your tattooing needs. I had my first experience getting a tattoo just 3 days ago. The whole shop made me feel very comfortable, safe, and understood. Will Wood went out of his way with my tattoo idea, and designed the MOST realistic giraffe tattoo I have ever seen. Here is the most important part....... The most important part of your tattoo experience....ALWAYS listen to the cleaning rules and instructions your tattoo artist gives you. If you have questions, call them and do not ask someone who does not know what they are talking about. I was instructed very clearly on taking care of my tattoo, and it is already healing after just 3 days. Little pain, small scabs, but that is it. My giraffe is becoming clearer and more beautiful everyday. go to Straight Edge Tattoo in Murfreesboro, TN. You WON'T regret it!!!!!!

I got my tattoo done by Will Wood. First off he is one of the most pleasant and friendly people i have ever met. I first came in to have a consultation by him, and he was nothing but a really nice guy. I wanted a portrait in remembrance of my grand father. I He took the couple of photos i had and i scheduled an appointment for the following week. When I came in to get the tattoo he was ready to go. As he set up for the tattoo he had me come sit down, and showed me everything was brand new and single use, as he opened every package for the firt time right in front of me. The tattoo came out amazing, his after care instructions made my tattoo heal with lightning speed. I highly recommend this shop, in particular Will.

All the guys that work there are super down to earth, and fair with pricing. All the work I've seen is incredibly well planned and executed. By far the best experience I have had in any tattoo shop. The facilities and equipment are all clean, and the artists are all professional and friendly. My wife and I both have, and will continue to go to Straight Edge to get tattooed by Will Wood. It may just be Murfreesboro, but this guy's talent (particularly with realism) is ungodly. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have to at least throw it out that any negative reviews this place gets are likely from the impossible to please, and generally idiotic outliers that the tattoo industry frequently attracts.

I have had ink for 13 years, but it wasn't until I had my first tattoo with Chris that I actually could say that I had ART etched into my skin. He covered four tattoos on my neck with a beautiful piece, and you cant even tell anything else was ever there. Since then I have had two other pieces done and couldn't be happier. My latest work genuinely looks like a portrait that should be displayed for everyone to see. The detail work is amazing, Chris makes wildlife look real. ( wildlife is just my preference) I will be getting more work done very soon. Anyone looking for new ink I highly recommend Chris, he reserves the right to call himself an artist. He does not just lay ink he is definitely a visionary and master of his domain.

This is, hands down, one of the best shops I've ever had the privilege to work with. I've been to more than a few tattoo shops both here and in Florida and their quality and artistry is absolutely unmatched. I'm Will, the piercier at Straight Edge. One, I am very talkative and enjoy my job. I talked to the girl from the last review from the time we went in, til the time the piercing was over. Two, Yes the area was bleeding and scar tissue mannipulated the area and i did miss it by not holding the clamp as tight as i should have to reduce the bleeding so yes im fault for that. But it was not missed by much at all but was told by her it was ok afterwards, it was ok... knew nothing else till she called back a day later to talk to my boss. She has been told it would be made up to her. I have always tried to make all my customers happy.. and the clamps they went in the dirty bin to be cleaned and autoclaved all clamps are sterile for everyone and all needles are single use needles. After seven years of piercing, NASTY is one thing I AM NOT and never will be in dealing with the public.....

Will is one of the best pierciers he does quality work and is very nice and friendly he pierced me and also I have watched him do many more he has in no way ever been nasty about his work he is very sanitary and he did my first one and made sure i was ok the whole time probably asked me if i was ok ten times or more.....and he loves his job...I recently had snakebites done that WAS NOT done by him that has to be redone because the piercier didn't back up his work in which Will does back up his.... and I will be making a long drive just to have him do them....he is the only one that will do any more on me.
