Second time coming here for piercings, and will only come here from now on. Super affordable. The place is VERY clean, and super comfortable. Jay, the guy that pierced me is super friendly, made conversation so it wasn't awkward. He is very fast and accurate. I like the fact he asked me if i was okay and asked how i was feeling during and after the piercings. Only piercer that I ever went to that showed they cared about my comfort. I got 4 ear piercings today (conch, helix and both tragus) and love them. Will be a returning customer for sure.

Came here for my 10-year-old's b-day gift... earrings! Was recommended by friends that Flying Tiger's method was cleaner, safer & less painful, using needle. Jay, the owner, took care of my daughter personally and did the piercing, utilizing hypoallergenic studs that screw together, which are more secure. He was great. It was like going to an excellent phlebotomist, from whom you barely feel a sting. Same with the ear piercings... he said, "count to 3..." and classicly had finished before he got to 3. Great job, Jay. Great "bedside manner" if you will. Knows his stuff, knows how to keep kids calm and is a true professional. Also, we're Not tattoo folks, but everything about this place was top-notch, clean, organized and set up well. P.S. My 10-yr-old lost one of the studs (playing in gym), we didn't wanna pay $15, found some hypoallergenic ones at home as a replacement but they were too big. Well, we drop in for him to fix her up, get a new stud and check everything out... doesn't charge us for our mistake. Above & beyond what I expected. Great small business. Keep up the great work, Jay & crew. Appreciate the attention & help. Highly recommend this business and would use them again for services.

My kids wanted their first tattoo. So I called and the gentlemen at the front booked my appointment with Joe . Recently I’ve been to Flying Tiger for two different tattoos. The first one I got I was just feeling in the mood for a fresh tattoo so after checking out the work online I decided to swing through. Joe was able to get me in and even stayed a little late so I could get one done. And it came out great! Joe is very talented and professional and I would highly recommended. He seems to take great pride in his work, which is very clean and traditional style, exactly what I wanted. There was a good clean atmosphere in the building and I will definitely be coming back for more!

Since my first time walking in everyone was very helpful, answered all my questions and never gave me any run around..Jeremy is amazing. his work is very detailed and a great artist. So I was searching the internet for an artist who does a lot of traditional Japanese and I found Jeremy online. I'm halfway through a hannya that goes from my elbow to my wrist and its absolutely incredible. Jeremy is a super chill dude and the session was great! If you are interested whatsoever in any Japanese art, Jeremy is the artist to see hands down. Will be recommending to everyone I know for sure! I've been to Flying Tiger a few times for both piercings and tattoos, and have always had great work done. Joe and Vinny have both done tattoos for me and they did fantastic jobs. Vinny recently did a tattoo on me and what he came up with was even better than the reference picture. Jay has done multiple piercings for me including industrial and tongue and he is definitely a phenomenal piercer. Always a great visit.

I got both my tattoos here as well as a cartilage piercing. 3 separate occasions. Great location, always insanely clean and professional, efficient, and skilled artists.

Jay is awesome! I, as well as all of my friends, trust him wholeheartedly with any piercing needs. He is not only very experienced and knowledgeable, but will help you make sure you are fully aware how to take care of your piercing. On many occasions I have called inquiring about the healing process of my nose and cartilage (my body is prone to keloids) and he has always been more than happy to give advice over the phone, or have me come in for him to check anything out. Would recommend to anyone!

Piercing was good but the price given on the phone was different than what I was charged. Was basically talked out of a tattoo that I was interested in scheduling an appointment for without any alternatives offered. Takes only cash but didn't tell us that at the time we made the appointment so I needed to use thier ATM. So...not terrible but lots of room for improvement.

My sister and I had our nose pierced. Jay was personable and friendly from the time I called inquiring about nose piercing until the day he pierced us. I read the reviews where people complained of him being rude. He was far from rude. He pierced our noses. I wasnt expecting salesmanship from him. I wasnt buying a car. I went in on July 3rd 2020, and I was in contact with them for about a month. Since this was going to be my first tattoo I wanted to make sure it was done correctly. The staff was very friendly and professional and they all helped in making sure I was comfortable. I got my first tattoo here which is kind of an intimidating experience. I was made comfortable and once I saw Vinnie’s design it was like he knew exactly what I wanted. My anxiety went away and it’s only painful if you forget to breathe (my opinion i got it in my lanky ankle). He put a protective patch on it and told me how to care for it afterwards. I felt like a new person leaving that place and I definitely want to go back.

I was a little surprised. Starting off, the guy behind the front desk was quite short with his answers and had a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He was more interested in shoving food down his throat then dealing with customers. he was definitely not on a professional level. As far as the actual tattooing, it seemed like the work was rushed. Way too fast in my opinion.. As far as detail in the work I had done, there's not much. My tattoo artist name was Joe. He was a great guy but I just wish he took a little more time and made some of the lines more crisp. instead they're quite blotchy and lacking detail. Watching the operation , it seemed like they're more interested in getting people in & out fast. As far as cost, I paid $150 for an hours work.thought it was a little high, but not too bad. the price would have been right with a little more detail. I was planning on getting quite a few tattoos done over the course of the next month or two, but I'll be checking out other shops instead. It's too bad because I wanted to fill up both sleeves and have some work done on my chest. I'm curious to see if the owner sees this or even cares. Hope this helps

I come to Flying Tiger following Jay Goods. He is a god of colorful tattoos. He could make even the darkest of skin tones pop and explode with bright beautiful colors. I have done some of my peircings on my own and had a couple with the gun ; to say the least ...when you know better , you do better !!! When Jay @ The Flying Tiger in New Britain CT came highly recommended , I did my research set a date and time and he did not disappoint . Jay explained every nervous question and put it to ease ! By the time I knew it my piercing was done . My brother even decided to get a piercing done as well and Jay accommodated . We appreciate the cleanliness of the shop and how Jay can not stress enough that cleaning your piercings with antibacterial soap twice each day is VERY important to maintain. I started coming to the shop for piercings/jewelry change with jay a couple years ago and I won’t go anywhere else. I got my first tattoo there early October with Joe and it was such an awesome experience, between Joe and all of the other guys in the shop that day. We talked ideas to work in other pieces from a different artist on my arm and when I came back I was super stoked with the drawing he came up with. He was very professional and wanted to make sure I was pleased with the end result and switched the stencil around for me a couple of times so it would fit in the space we were working with more adequately. Once we got started he made me feel very comfortable and talked out the process with me, especially over the spots that were going to not be super fun to sit through, and kept me distracted with great conversation. Joe was great- I’m looking forward to sitting down with him again soon to continue the progress on my arm!

I decided last minute to add another piercing to my nostril next to one i already had, i walked in and was taken right away. The owner was so down to earth and honest. I have many piercings and told him the nostril was my most painful. He was so quick and kept checking in while putting in the jewelry to make sure i was ok, even wiped the few tears from my watery eye. He also made sure I had the exact look I wanted with placement and jewelry. I will be back and would recommend anyone there!

Went to get a cartilage piercing in my ear, brought my 4-year old daughter at the time. It is a nice, clean place. Jay was awesome and did my piercing quick and gave info on care. My daughter is quite sensitive and dramatic and ended up being afraid of the big (albeit mean-looking) tiger on the big window to the front... Jay handled it with care during my embarrassment, I will go back to him for any other piercings I want.

Took my daughter to get her ears pierced for the second time. First time was a Claire’s and the holes were no good so we let them close. This time after reading the reviews I decided that Tiger Tatoo was the way to go. I had the chance to work with Jay and he was awesome. He told my daughter exactly what was going to happen and how. I've gotten a total of 17 piercings done by Jay and I can't think of a single issue or complaint. Every placement is perfect and aligned. His cleaning instructions are easy and effective. Out of all my piercings not one has gotten infected. All of the instruments he uses are fresh out of the package, and he opens them right infront of you. Hands down best piercer I know and I wouldn't even consider going elsewhere.

Went to flying tiger tattoo today. I have been trying to get a good tattoo artist for a long time. I don't regret booking with Vinnie he was really nice, listened to what I wanted and gave me his honest opinion on how to make it look better. I was scared that getting a tattoo on my sternum would hurt but I didn't feel pain at all, Vinnie was gentle and made sure I was feelingcomfortable throughoutthe whole session!!!
