I’ve had an extraordinary experience getting pierced here for myself and my 2 teenage daughters. Love their costumer service and welcoming environment! So much so that in the last year we’ve became recurring clients. Brian has an outstanding welcoming vibe, the entire staff have always made us feel welcomed. I recommend this place to all my friends and family members. Definitely will continue to come to this shop for future services

My kid got a septum piercing here. The shop itself is big and bright and clean. The people behind the counter were really kind and welcoming and made us feel welcomed. Windy was really patient and explained everything before the piercing. It was quick and relatively painless. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone!

Windy is AMAZING! 10/10 would recommend! She pierced my nipples for me a year ago and they healed wonderfully ! The process it’s self was extremely quick and she made me feel so comfortable. She didn’t rush me out after and let me take a minute to gather myself. I even got to bring a friend back with me :) Whole thing took 2 minutes. Sorry for the late review - appreciate y’all !

Klaudio did an amazing job with my tattoo. Very professional, very clean location. Tattoo healed very well and quickly, which i am told means my artist was good (and my skin is good too i guess). The price is on the high side, but I'd rather overpay for a great service and professionalism.

You know a good piercer when they won’t do a certain piercing because you don’t have the anatomy. Went in for a daith but discovered my ear wouldn’t support it, so I got a forward helix instead. The piercer was quick and obviously knew his stuff, I felt 1,000% comfortable the whole time and left very happy. Will definitely come back for my future piercings.

I have bilateral nose studs that I got at another shop in Aurora, and one of them fell out of my nose while I was sleeping. I still had to initial jewelry and it was a corkscrew stud so it would come out easily and I would pop it back in immediately no problem. But because it happened at some point in the middle of the night, it had already started to heal when I found it in the morning. I tried replacing it myself but it wouldn't pop through and I didn't want to make things worse. Isaac spoke to me right away as soon as I walked in the door, and Elizabeth saw me in the room within like 5 minutes. Super quick, super nice, the shop was super clean too and everyone i interacted with was just amazing. 10/10 recommend, I will be coming back for future piercings.

Super nice and welcoming staff. I got my nipples pierced by Ros and she was very sweet to me. I was nervous and she was gentle with me, explained everything to me clearly and helped me relax. I paid $120 for it.

Got my septum pierced here yesterday by Rossmerry and she was so quick and the process was painless! My friend got her cartilages done and Rossmerry was so patient in figuring out a placement my friend liked. Came in as a walkin and was pierced 20 mins later. Very clean environment and friendly staff.

So I have to start with how we ended up here.. Saturday, March 20th 2021.. My best friend and I went to our local gas station, filled the tank up and randomly decided to pick a direction and just drive. We went north and landed in Chicago. Which, we've been trying to go explore for a few years. I was determined to get a tattoo and found this place. I was instantly flabbergasted by the tattoo shop. It's clean, soo much to look at, they have an impeccable variety of body piercings! The artist's art is shown on their individual tv screens by their room. I couldn't stop watching, the art is beyond impressive.. and, the artist's have paintings they have painted in their room as well. Note: Don't bother asking, they won't sell them. Lol. Just appreciate it. We were able to walk in, masks on, filled out paperwork and talked with a walk-in artist. Make sure you have an ID! Of course, if you want a bigger, more detailed tattoo, you will have to book an appointment. You can pay with cash or credit/debit. I recommend Alan, Chris and/or Carlos, but everyone's style is different. The staff and service was cool, easy to get along with will listen to your tattoo ideas and then some. Awesome people in the entire shop and can not wait to go back! It's well worth the 4 hour drive to get insanely awesome work done! Love, love, love my new tattoo created and inked by Ruben Aguayo! I highly recommend him. He is extremely personable, relatable and professional. He does AWESOME work! The shop is clean and well maintained. I am truly pleased and will be back soon! Late, late, late update! The second photo is of my second tattoo, also brilliantly done by Ruben Aguayo in December 2018! Last I knew in 2018, he was a very, very booked artist (due to his position within the company and his awesome work!), so getting in with him can be a short moment, but I highly recommend him. I sent him one of the two masks that I desired and he created the other one himself. He also came up with how the different images should be placed, for flow, I simply sent him the images. The second tattoo was a gift to myself for graduating with my theatrical/music degree from UIC, in December 2018. I'll have a hard time trusting others to give me the satisfaction that I have regarding my tattoos.

My hubby and I are on a road trip and I had a migraine set in. It took about an hour for me to realize that my 2 week old daith piercing had fallen out. In a Panic, in the middle of Indiana (heading north), I started researching and remembered hearing AMAZING things about Chicago Ink. I called and they told me to come in as we drove through and they would take care of me. They did not lie. They could have just sanitized and stuck a little ring back in there for me. Instead they helped to educate me about my choices of ring vs bar - and Guage sizes and what that meant for my long term healing. I was so impressed that I had them re-pierce my second lobe piercing too. Their facility is SO clean and professional. Immaculate. I will be back. 100%. And cannot recommend them enough.

I went here for a "big tattoo" it was my upper arm and Ruben nailed it. Each day I love it more and more. I was skeptical at first that someone could tattoo my dogs face and was originally just going to incorporate my dogs, dog tag. Rosemary was so kind to my granddaughters . The earring piercing looks great. The tattoo was perfect, it was exactly what my daughter in law wanted. My only criticism is that they don't have t shirts in all adult sizes and a way to order a kids size. Nicolas was quick and skilled. It was great, the nicest tattoo palor I've ever seen.

Came to this place to have my helix done. At first, I was pretty nervous about how it gonna end. But my piercer Windy was super nice and gentle, she drove me through all the process, explained every step before executing it, asked me if I was doing ok, and actually, I felt NO pain at all. I went and got my nipples pierced recently by Windy! What an amazing and comforting Windy is! I was very anxious and definitely got light headed from the piercings but Windy got me water and gave me time to rest while giving me reassuring words and confidence! I went to Claudio to try and fix my leg sleeve. It was by a few artists and I wanted to be a nice, continuous piece. He took this and ACED it. He added texture to the piece that was lacking and added so much into it I’ve never loved it more. I’ve also never gotten more compliments walking around. Let me start off by saying, it was very hard to find a place that does baby earlobe piercings. I dont trust one of those mall places. I’ve been to Chicago ink multiple times for piercings, tattoos and to get my jewelry! I’ve had two piercings done by windy, one done by elizabeth and have had tattoos all done by different artists here! The artists I had were rafael, v and brayan! The artists I had always made sure I was comfortable and I was very happy with how the piercings I had turned out and my tattoos as well. The place is super clean and neat. Not to mention, when I had gone to a different shop and had a not so pleasant experience due to the fact an industrial piercing was not suitable for my ear shape they suggested other things I could do instead and did so much to help me feel better! The staff is amazing and so so nice! This is somewhere I’ll always recommend and definitely trust to came back to for any future tattoos or piercings!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The place is very chill and looks very professional at the same time! My piercer was Windy and she was very helpful and kind! She was able to replace my original nose piercing that I got somewhere else on the left of my nostril, because the stud fell off alongside piercing my right nostril which I wanted. This location is a bit far from my home but I rather drive 30min-40min to get professional and reputable piercers! I WILL be coming back here for more piercings!

Brought my daughter in tonight for a piercing. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. We had Windy for our piercing and she was amazing. As much as my daughter wanted to do this she was nervous and hates needles. Windy was super patient, talked her through everything, explained every step and kept on with her business. I love this place! Ive gotten all my piercings done here (helix’s, daith, rook, septum, and nose piercing). Honestly, this is the only place I would get pierced at. You bring your piece in, and he'll work with your art , with HIS STYLE and you won't be disappointed. He will give you suggestion on what works and what does not, and he is very honest about it. Ruben will not accept your piece if he feels it does not turn out well. If you want a bad a$$ looking piece of art, you have to walk in with an open mind. Just because you think something will look good on you doesn't mean your artist will think the same, they have seen enough to know what will or will not look good. Ruben is the PAPI for all my tattoos & will def come back for more :) FYI Ruben is very busy, you'll be looking at months in wait time so book ahead!

And she had a big smile too! I know she seen how excited I was so it was nice to see that her smile and energy matched mines. She asked me what I wanted, got me set up with the paperwork, I filled it out real quick and then sat and waited for my piercer. ROSEMARY!!!! She was so good ! I was really nervous about 2/3 of my piercings and she assure me that everything would be good! AND IT WAS!!!🙌🏾 Yalll she did my piercings so QUICK, EASY and it was PAINLESS. I thought I was going to cry on them but it was nothing. She was that fast! And she was always asking and checking if I was okay throughout all of them. I just want to say THANK YOU!! BY FAR THEE BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD. I’m glad to have met her she was really Amazing and been doing it for a really long time, plus she was nice as well! Walked in with two friends, we were all out in 2 and a half hours. They were careful to get the sizing, design, and placement perfect before starting. The artist worked quickly but precisely. A bit on the expensive side but with the quality of the work, I’m not complaining at all. The shop was very clean and smoothly run.

Booked an appointment for a medium sized tattoo on my arm. I was visiting from out of town. I was quoted a price an a window of time it would take to do th e tattoo. I was told 5 to 6 hours. Which is my limit for pain. I have quite a few pieces the same size. 5 and 1/2 hours in I was reaching my pain tolerance and asked how much longer it would take. I was told two to two and a half more hours which would make a total of seven and a half to 8 hours of tattooing when I was quoted five to six. So I ended up having to tap out and schedule to get the tattoo finished at a later date. They charged me the entire price of the tattoo and told me I'd have to pay more to come back. They said this was because I chose not to finish the tattoo p. If I was told it would be an 8 hour tattoo I would have told them I'd have to do two sessions. The tattoo end up getting severely infected and I've had many tattoos and never had an infected tattoo. So I paid $1,200 for an unfinished tattoo that got infected. Wod not recommend.

I’ve been to both their locations and i have to say they’re so professional clean and amazingly helpful. My first ever piercing other than my earlobes was an Industrial Ear piercing. My piercer was Itzel I went bold and apparently it’s one of the most painful to get in your ear. My piercer helped me out and would ask if i was okay every few seconds , she was an angel. This was three years ago and now I have a healthy healed Industrial. I went to the other location yesterday and got my Helix Ear piercing and Nose piercing done at the same time by Windy . The lady was so nice and would let me know what was going on at all times. Totally 10000/10 recommend both locations!

Itzel, is one of the piercers that work at this location. She is super nice and makes me feel extremely comfortable. I’m really scared of pain but she’s gentle and always takes her time. Furthermore, the piercings are well done, no infections and no swollen (of course you have to take care of it but still). Overall I came back twice. I’ve been there a few times now, first with my mom to get my ears pierced a few years ago, then for a nostril piercing, then for a septum ring, and most recently for snake bites. Every time everything has been quick clean and professional. For all facial piercings I got faint afterwards just because that’s a thing that happens with me and every time they were super kind and made sure I was okay before even taking me out to the counter to pay. I've recently got my septum ring for my nose done for only 60$. This was by far one of the best prices I've seen as other shops were charging 80 and above. Beyond that, the lady who did my septum was very quick, and clearly good at what she did. She made me feel relaxed and comfortable and it was done within a matter of 2 minutes or less. The only thing that was a little upsetting was that they had only horse shoes rather than captive beads (which was i wanted) but other than that, it was quick and easy. The lady assured me that the needles were clean and everything was used only once. 10/10 would come again, and possibly, i might be going soon.

Our regular piercer (Rossmery) is such a good piercer, so quick, painless, and professional. and she is so sweet!! 11/10 reccomend this place!

The place looks really cool on the inside and it was nice and clean. There were plenty of people waiting when we went in on a Saturday night around 7ish for a nose piercing. The guy at the counter was very nice and he handled the flow of customers with great customer service. The reason why I gave this review 2 stars is because of the wait time and overall experience. My daughter and I waited over 2 hrs for her piercing. I would have left if it were for me but she really wanted it so I waited patiently. I think it would help if someone kept waiting customers updated on their wait time every so often. There was a jump the line incident that happened while I was there. There was a new girl behind the counter and she mixed up the paperwork and a guy that had just come in and been there for only 15 min got called for his piercing before us and all the other people that had been waiting. The guy behind the counter realized the mistake and he let her know and she seemed genuinely sorry and apologetic. The girl who should have gone next was given a discount on her service. I think a better gesture would have been a discount for every one that should have been in front of the guy. My kid was happy so I guess that's what matters. My advice is not to go here on a Saturday night. ************UPDATE ********** The shop read my review and they did call to offer their apology and a free item. MIND BLOWN! The lady didn't try to argue or dispute my account. She apologized immediately and tried to make it right. It really is all about customer service with me and even though our experience wasn't the best, their follow up made up for it. Review updated from 🌟🌟 to 🌟🌟🌟🌟 !

I literally never write reviews but Melissa deserves all the good feedback I can give! I got my first tattoo with her in two different sessions, one at the old location and one at the new one. Since it was my first tattoo Melissa made sure to talk things over with me and she was very professional and friendly throughout the whole thing. She explained the aftercare really clearly and even reached out via email a couple days after to check in on the healing process. Melissa is a great option for your first tattoo! I think she was more worried about how much pain I was in than I was haha 10/10 recommend hitting Melissa up for your next (or first) tattoo! (my only complaint is that the music at the new location is LOUD, but I might just be lame idk)

I went in for a septum and a nostril piercing. I did a walk-in and was attended right away. I was nervous going into the piercing room, but Rossmary reassured me it wouldn't even hurt. Honestly, it didn't because she works fast which in my opinion made the whole process less painful. She was so nice and took her time with placement. I loved my piercings so much that I even took my sister the next day to get her nose ring. 10/10 would recommend and if you can get it done by Rossmary :)

I came here a few weeks ago to get my septum pierced! Nervous as hell. I was a walk in on a weekday, they took care of me right away. And can I say oh my god Windy is a MAGICIAN. My experience in the shop was awesome! I got my nose pierced for the first time and my piercer Rosemary was extremely nice and funny. They have a separate room for piercings that is very clean and sterile. They also allow one friend to accompany you in the room. She cleaned my nose and all of the instruments were brand new. The actual piercing took about 2 seconds and she cleaned me up after. She then explained how to take care of the piercing at home and what products to buy, as well as how long to wait before changing the stud. Overall it was a great experience and shop. Excellent customer service, very welcoming, and good prices!

But after waiting to have it removed, it wasn't until after that I was told I would have to pay to have it removed. Could be a bit more upfront, in addition to having to pay a service fee for using a card. Bring cash!

Great experience here. The tattoo turned out very well. Carlos worked with me to get a design that I liked, and he delivered. He also got me in literally the day after I walked in. My only complaint is that Carlos would sometimes walk away for 20-30 minutes to talk to other customers. I understand being busy, but maybe having "office hours" would be better instead of walking away in the middle of tattooing.

I had two tattoos done recently, one on my hip and the other on my wrist. I love the one on my hip, and the one on my wrist is okay, I felt as if the artist rushed through the second one and looks a little off. After the one on my hip was done, I felt uncomfortable having to have my pants down until after he finished the one on my wrist. Also, for the one on my hip they said it would be $150, but when I added the one on my wrist which was way smaller they said $350. I went along with it because I didn’t do the math, nor did I try to bargain the price. But now that i think about it and it doesn’t make sense to be charged $200 more for a smaller tattoo.

I needed to get my nose pierced for religious reasons. I never had anything pierced other than my ears when I was young. When i called them to inquire information, they were so polite and they gave me Italo's email address and said I could touch base with him direct, being that he is the manager there. I had specific requirements in terms of this piercing. He was so calm and polite in responding to me and told me to come in if i could to speak with him in person and to show him certain pieces of my jewelry face to face. I was driving in from out of town and I managed to see him and speak to him. The first time we did it, I was beyond nervous and in the end I walked out happy. Days later, I realized I needed to go back and get something else done, in terms of the piercing he did last week...so my second time around I was running late, he was already there waiting for me...ready to perform the piercing a second time around. Italo is great, and very efficient in what he does. He has been doing it for many many years. THE MINUTE YOU WALK INTO THIS PLACE, YOU WILL FEEL LIKE FAMILY. My experience was wonderful here.

Had a daith and industrial piercing done here. Italo did a great job. Turns out the anatomy of my ear doesn't really work with traditional industrial placement, so he talked me through my options (including just not doing it) and we settled on some adjustments. Definitely appreciate that rather than just giving me something that wouldn't turn out right. A few months later I went back to buy new jewelry, and Rachel helped with changing it out and treating some lumps that were forming at the piercing sites, all for free (plus tip of course). Very very happy with my piercings and the service here.

Went to this place with a friend last week to get a vertical labret and a helix piercing, I couldn't be happier! We were greeted immediately by our piercer Rachel who was very friendly and took extra care (without being prompted!) to ensure that my vertical labret would be perfectly strait and just where i wanted it (and it is!). I went in for a dermal piercing at the base of my neck. My face and body are asymmetrical but Italo was very patient to take the time finding the best spot for me. He very helpfully offered his professional opinion and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. The piercing is flush with my skin which is very important for a dermal. I felt cared for when I got lightheaded after the piercing by being accommodated with cool water, a place to lay down, something safe to smell to wake up my senses, and a fan that was directed toward me. The facility is clean and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely go back and I am going to recommend this artist and location to friends and family. Again, Italo is the name of the artist.

Price point not there you can do better elsewhere. Shop sets price not artist. Testosterone filled, the guys walk around like they're the s***! Music blaring without regards to coworker let alone customer!!! Place is way too small for the amount people working there. I would not go there if it were not for Leslie. She’s moved on. IF YOU NEED A NOSE PERICING COME HERE ITS ONLY 30, So I went in needing help to fix my nose piercing, where it was done by KnM Body Art. Within 1 min of looking into my nose they knew I needed a bigger piercing. The lady who fixed it was struggling with English but she still managed to explain everything to me and I left feeling relieved from irration and it looked better. Their customer service is decent but they get the job done correctly.

Rossmery is absolutely amazing at what she does. I was nervous about getting my nipples pierced but as soon as I got there someone took care of me and as soon as I filled out the papers she came out to take me to the back. When I called I was told it was $30 for and ear piercing, but when I got there the prices were totally different. I was charged $60 for a flat and I had to go and find an ATM to get more money. I prefer to be told the price up front and asked the correct questions before I get there so that there is no misunderstandings.

Went for a walk in last night with a friend. Initially, we were a bit annoyed, as we were waiting a long time before an actual artist checked in with us, but we were both happy we stuck it out. Carlos did script work on both of us, as well as a touchup of an old tattoo, and was fantastic! I have never seen such clean lines on script, and he wasn’t heavy handed at all. He even played us a sweet lineup of 80s and 90s music vids to keep us entertained. If we are ever in Chicago again, this is absolutely our first choice for ink. 100% recommend!!

I came in about 3 weeks ago in the middle of a migraine that had been going on for over 4 weeks having no reaction to medication. I'd read the Daith piercing could help prevent and lesson migraines...i figured I had nothing to lose if it didn't work I'd have a new cute piercing at least. The courtesy of the staff was amazing and they were fast. They explained that it can help but, of course could no be guaranteed. Italo explained how it would be done and before I knew it I was finished...a bit of pressure but really no pain. He explained how to clean it and have me written directions incase I needed them... I'll be the first to admit I've missed washing out a time or two. I have used hand sanitizer on it a couple times (I'm weird, it helped how it felt awkward at work). It's healing nicely, have used a warm saltwater rinse a couple times and ice when I was warm, ours healing wonderfully without any issue. Fast forward to present...i have had a couple headaches, took a couple Tylenol and I was fine... my migraines are completely gone and I'm finding out how others without migraines enjoy life without feeling out of it most the time... thank you thank you thank you Italo for giving me back my life... I'll see you again in a few weeks for the hoop.

I love my nose piercing by Rachel and my maneki neko tattoo by Carlos. Both were friendly and patient with my mom and I for our mother-daughter nose piercing and tattoo. They are both great artists and their work speaks for itself. Rachel's ability to find the perfect placement of the piercing to enhance the aesthetic appeal of one's appearance amazes me. Carlos' paints the tattoo onto your body, literally. I have never before seen an artist who could literally make it look like he took a paintbrush to your skin and somehow made it permanent, I still stare at my tattoo in amazement. The aftercare instructions were easy to follow, and when my mom and I both messed up with our nose piercings, me not cleaning enough and her playing with it too much in addition to pulling it out twice, resulting in two additional visits which she did not charge us for where she cleaned our piercings, checked how they were healing, recommended methods to help our piercings heal, and in my mom's case put the nose ring back in/repierced when she waited too long the second time she pulled it out. She even free-of-charge switched my mom's piercing out for her since my mom couldn't and I'm not comfortable doing that for someone other than myself, which explains why we went to her when my mom accidentally pulled it out. I don't think there's enough words to express the gratitude we feel towards Rachel and Carlos for exceeding our expectations exponentially and providing such a great experience, I don't think my mom nor I will go anywhere else for future works of art. Once again thank you both so much :)

I got my tattoo done by Ness. I loved the quality I received. I only paid him for 4 hours of work but in order for me to come out with a better tattoo he gave me an extra 4hr session free. They are less concerned with taking your money and more concerned with your tattoo quality.

Quick stop into the shop on a Saturday for a nose piercing. Rossmerry was A-MAZ-ING. Quick, virtually painless and very professional. She explained the process as she went along. Had another great experience at Chicago Ink! Brang my mom in to get a tribute tattoo dedicated to my younger brother who died of a sudden heart attack at the young age of 29. I gave Viktor Moms idea and he created something just for her. It was beautiful and a very happy emotional experience we were both pleased. Viktor was so gentle with Mom as he always is yet quick and on point as always. We were in and out within the hour. Not to mention the shop is always clean and every one you come across is super nice and friendly. Love this place!! A great selection of artist and tones of talent! I know people who want shop quality but dont want to pay shop prices but you know what you get what you pay for! Check them out Asap if not your just cheatn yourself❤
