Just left from getting my fourth tattoo here. Allison is the best! I have received more compliments on the tattoo she's done than any of the rest I've ever received elsewhere. For colors are so bright and vibrant and they heal perfectly. The whole vibe of this place is absolutely wonderful and I won't go anywhere else. They definitely have a customer for life.

Each was concerned with making sure I loved the outcome and I definitely did! The demand is high for these talented artists so be patient with booking and be willing to wait…. It’s worth it!

I went to the apprentice, Luna, and she was so wonderful! Awesome customer service and beautiful design as well as skill in applying it. The experience of being tattooed by her was comfortable and fun, and she answered all my questions. I loved learning more about the process of tattooing and I can’t wait to see where Luna goes as an artist! Worth the drive from Cedar Rapids. The owner, John, was also friendly and helpful. :)

Allison blew away any expectations I had. She did a cover up on a tattoo I got elsewhere in DSM, and took my least favorite tattoo and made it one of my favorites. The shop is clean, staff is friendly, and the experience was great all around.

My nephew was coming to visit for Christmas last year. A couple weeks before coming he told me that he would love to get his first tattoo when he came over. I asked coworkers if f they knew any artist that could help, but of course all were book to far out. One night I met some friends for dinner next to Warrior Tattoo. I went in and this guy asked what I was looking for. I told him about my nephew coming over and his response was” I am going to make time for that”. All he kept saying the night of the tattoo was “ I’m tattooing a guy from Denmark”. Turns out that guy is the owner. Great shop. I know where I’ll be going from now on.

He is by far the most personable piercer I’ve ever gone to, as this is my 8th cartilage piercing and I’ve tried many other shops before warrior tattoo. He is so knowledgeable about what he does and I will definitely be recommending this shop to everyone I know!

I went in on Wednesday for a nose piercing and paid $96 which I thought seemed a little extreme. Well, come to find out their set rate for a nose piercing is $75. So I called today, Friday, and asked why I was charged $96 if their rate is $75, and was told that they changed the price right after I left. Seemed pretty fishy to me. Either way, they refunded me $20 of the $96 I paid so all is good. Overall, nose piercing looks great!

Iv had 4 tattoos done by 2 different artist here and i just have to say this is the best tattoo shop i have been to the environment and people are just incredible both artists were super willing to work with me placing multiple stencils on different parts of the body and through all of my indecisiveness they were super friendly and helpful iv been to 6 different shops and warrior is hands down the best in the wdm area!!

I didn't get a tattoo from John but I was the recipient of a very kind gesture on his part. We were visiting our granddaughter and had gone to lunch at a restaurant near the Tatoo Studio. We came out and found the battery dead on our vehicle. My older daughter went in the studio to see if anyone might have a jumper cable and could help us out. In no time at all John was there and gave us a jump and all was well. Thanks John, I hope this review will be read by a potential customer because if I wanted a tattoo (a little late I think since I am 78) I would use you because of your kindness. Speaks volumes about a persons capabilities and character I think.

Warrior Tattoo Studio in Waukee, IA is awesome! One of my mom's last wishes before she passed away was for my sister and her and I to have matching tattoos. John made this wish a reality for us. He tattood my mom's thumb prints on my sister and I, and my sisters and my thumb prints on my mom. It was an amazing experience to be able to have with my mom. John was so great! He kept checking with my mom to make sure she was doing ok and he made it a great experience and memory for us. Our tattoos look amazing! I couldn't say enough great things about John, the studio and the work!

I stopped into the studio after meeting John a few days prior. I am a fellow combat veteran and I have considered a tattoo in memory of my fallen brothers for years. John and I traded war stories and he let me peruse his many military coins, awards, and pictures. Our next step is to generate ideas and mock-up what I want the piece to be. When the time comes I know exactly where I am going and who I will be speaking with. I'm a huge Hawkeye fan. John inked a tattoo of Tiger Hawk with a rose in its beak on my right shoulder. I told him what I wanted, and he designed it perfectly, including gradient shading of the Tiger Hawk. He suggested the gradient shading, and that's what I love most about the tattoo.
