I was there a few days ago, and it's an okay place but some of my favorites are no longer there. The current employees can work on their personality because they're not the most welcoming. It's also time to lift some of the strict covid rules. Some people might like to have someone with them. The outside of the building can also use an upgrade.

I had a great experience here! I walked in to have my nose pierced and everyone was great. I noticed that all the staff were wearing masks, so asked if I needed one. They clarified that it wasn't required, but it also seemed appreciated so I was happy to mask up. Kathleen walked me through everything, helped me select a perfect piece of jewelry, then really spent her time on perfect placement. The end result is perfect and, since Kathleen was so clear about best practices for healing (basically, do not touch it or otherwise fuss with it) it looks so good, with no inflammation or anything, a week later. I came to Piercology based on a recommendation, and I'm happy to pass that recommendation along. And specifically, of course, Kathleen was a gem 🤍

This place is absolutely wonderful. After not finding a place I felt comfortable in around my own town, I finally decided to look around elsewhere and came across Piercology. I had my lobes pierced with a gun when I was a child and was generally terrified after that and had no other piercings since. After a lot that has happened in my life over the last year, I finally decided to do something for myself that made me happy. I have always wanted a daith piercing but other than that I was clueless with the process and what works for my own ear anatomy, so I booked a consultation. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the entire staff that was up by the counter. I was ultimately set up with Hazel and after explaining what I thought I liked and what my end goals were. They gave me a great plan for both ears and they showed me a great assortment that matched my current jewelry and aesthetic. They also were really patient with me as I asked a lot of questions as someone completely new to piercing aftercare and upkeep and worked with me on pricing to fit my budget. After everything was set up, I was placed with Dylan (I hope I spelled it correctly!) and he was amazing as well. He was totally helpful in getting me up on the table as I have an old injury from a car accident that makes me unsteady and kept up with tons of small talk to keep me relaxed as I was pretty nervous. He checked in on me through every step and answered even more questions I came up with, with tons of detail. He even asked for my business card as I have a small business and really made me feel comfortable. After all was done, all of the available staff looked at my ear and congratulated me, and Hazel took likely much better pictures than what I provided on this review. Overall, this experience made me excited to have new piercings and I cannot wait to see them again at the end of this year to work on my other ear. As a nervous beginner to this world of piercing, I could not be happier. They didn’t push me where I wasn’t comfortable, they saw me as more than just another number on the appointment list, and they were sincere and patient with me as I expressed my concerns and asked a thousand questions. If you read this whole review, I am so sorry it was so long, but I rarely feel so incredibly happy with a company/service. If you are a newbie like me, take it as a sign that this is a safe place to begin piercing. I couldn’t recommend it more!

I absolutely love this place! It is the only place I will ever go to for piercings, piercing care, and piercing advice. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and pleasant to interact with. It is a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. I went here for my first piercing, and have gone there for every other one since. The advice they offer regarding existing piercings is also invaluable; I have a rook piercing that I was SO CLOSE to just giving up on. I came here for one last attempt at saving it, and after following their advice and changing the bar size to a more appropriate fit, I have a perfect piercing! Let me just say I love love love this place. They made me feel super comfortable and like part of their family from the initial call. I called and was looking for a genital piercing, I know most people would be embarrassed to ask and talk about it and I was but my guy Hazel made me feel super comfortable from the get go. He made me feel like it was ok and something common he deals with which put me at ease, he was very knowledgeable and honest which I love! He recommended Kristine for my piercing. Where to begin with Kristine, she was amazing she made me feel like not only a friend but like she cared. She took her time explaining the procedure and answering my questions. When it came time for the piercing she took her time and made sure the piercing was placed correctly. The piercing it self was over and done before I knew what was happening and when I was surprised by the lack of pain she jokingly made fun of the situation which honestly made me feel even more like a friend and I mattered ( I know it’s silly). Honestly this place is amazing.

Overall, clean place. Safe with jewelry handling. Spent almost $200 on two pairs of earrings + a cartilage stud. (Jewelry only - not piercing). They don’t sell in pairs. You have to buy the earring post (back piece) and then the front piece x4. 🧐 didn’t know that until I paid and asked for an itemized receipt. Covid - have to check in then wait outside. Still taking walk-ins. Can be lengthy at times.

Clean, friendly and a very cool yet professional shop! Got our daughters septum pierced there and we could not have asked for a better experience! They were strict about all the paper work and clear about street care. Which we appreciated. Absolutely Recommend, even in my sleep!

Had a great experience there! I had let my friend pierce me at her house (irresponsible, i know) and she had put in some cheap jewelry from amazon that was way too small. It refused to heal for 2 months, getting super swollen and leaking pus no matter how much aftercare I did. I went into Piercology and they took a look at it, talked through options with me and then changed it to one of their high quality pieces of jewelry. Ever since, I have had literally no problems. The piercing looks more healthy than ever, and they were super kind and non-judgmental. I will definitely be going here for ALL my piercing needs in the future!

I got my septum pierced yesterday. The staff was insanely nice and accommodating despite the fact they had a ton of walk-ins at the same time. They took me through everything in detail. And then Dylan! Dylan was my piercer. He was kind, patient, and super professional. It barely hurt and I didn't feel nervous at all with him. This place is AMAZING!!! The vibes of the whole store and everything was just YASSSS👏👏👏 I literally walked In and said " I'm thinking about getting the right side of my nose pierced. Would it look good on me?" They said yes, I got situated right away. I sat down for maybe less than 5 minutes and they called me back so quickly. My piercer was so nice like omg. They listened to me about random stuff about my life which they did not have to. They where so cool, the place was so clean and they where so informative about everything!!! Dylan did an amazing job on my daith piercing and the restoration of my tongue piercing from 12 years ago. Excellent high end quality jewelry, great selection. I get very anxious, like extremely so: panic attack level. Dylan was very patient & understanding and spoke with me multiple days on what I wanted to have done. He set the proper expectations on what I wanted to have done. He went over everything with me and made sure I thoroughly understood. Once I came in to have it done, he made it as painless as it could have possibly been. He had a wonderful attitude and perfect personality for his line of work. I highly recommend this place (and especially Dylan) as their employees are extremely kind and well trained. Everyone in here was so friendly and nice. I will definitely be back to do the ear project we had talked about.

I've been a customer at piercology since I got my first piercing there at 18. When I was there today (36) it was a truly wonderful experience! The staff there was so friendly and helpful. Camille really did a great job explaining the process of recovering the multiple piercings I wanted to try to get back as well as after care and everything in between. Christine was my piercer and she did an absolutely amazing job with all of my piercings and it was a pleasure working with her!

This shop is amazing! My friend and I did a walk in for multiple piercings and they were able to accommodate us. I would recommend making an appointment on a Saturday because there is a long wait if you don’t, but that wasn’t an issue for me. The piercers are extremely well educated, and help ease any anxiety you may have. They take the time to make sure you’re happy with the placement before continuing on. Their jewelry prices are reasonable but even for lobes they do price per earring, make sure to keep that in mind if you’re planning on coming here. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a high quality piercing.

Christine and the team at piercology are wonderful and kind people! I got my lobes done and resized my helix. Christine made the process super easy and enjoyable, and they even checked on me in the middle of the piercing change to make sure I was doing ok! Everything was very clean as well. The person who helped me at the front desk (I didn't catch their name, sorry!) Was very kind and easy to talk to. They let me take my time choosing jewelry and was very patient with me. Every one I interacted with was professional and knowledgeable they educated me on what was best for my body while taking into consideration my allergies. They were able to get me in as a walk in in a very busy Saturday with no issue and great communication. Christine was MAGIC! Went here for the first time today. Got my very first nose stud! Christina, the piercer working today, was so nice, understanding and friendly. She gave great advice, explained everything well, made me feel at ease (I was nervous), and did a great job! The front staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The interior of the shop is pretty cool - kind of a mix between modern and retro. They also have a big TV on the wall that you can scroll through pictures of many of the piercings they've done there. Would absolutely recommend this place!

I had my tragus pierced, and a recovery piercing done by Dylan about a year ago. I originally had an appointment with Christine, but she was not there when I got there. But my experience with Dylan was pretty good, he was cool, and I didn't have any issues after. My only issue was with not being informed of Christine not being there when I stated I was there for an appointment with Christine; I didn't know until another guy piercer was taking me back to do my piercing. The guy was cool about it though, and went and got Dylan since I was a little uncomfortable about that, I almost didn't want to do it. I had read reviews, and liked the reviews for Christine that's why I made an appointment with her. But anyway I do feel like the pricing on the jewelry PER STUD is kinda high; I paid like $80 for 1 small 14k gold stud for my tragus, and like $35 for 1 small titanium stud for the recovery piercing. Although, I never went back to get the stud switched out I do recommend it, because I kept getting a nasty looking irritation bump on the inside of my tragus piercing. But I never had an infection, and I don't get the bump anymore :). I would go back for another piercing with Dylan!

Had to write a review to say Kathleen is the best!!!!!! When I first went in for my nipple piercings, she spent a good 20 minutes answering all my questions about them. She gave me great, professional advice which was super helpful during my healing process. Also, on 2 separate occasions, I had issues with my piercings and she calmed me down and gave me her professional opinion about them. She has made me feel comfortable and calm several times, which is very important to me because I am very sensitive when it comes to piercings. She is the best!!!!

I have an update on my surface piercing. This morning it completely came out on its own when I was asleep. I found the earring in my hair. The barbell was never bent like I was told it was going to be. Now my skin is in the process of healing itself.

I went here to get jewelry from another shop fixed and I found out that they can only use jewelry from their own shop, completely understandable! So I picked out a piece of jewelry to replace my other one and while it was a bit expensive, good jewelry is definitely worth the money. They took me back (practically no wait) and Christine informed me that the complete wrong jewelry was used to pierce my forward helix (the piercing I was getting jewelry changed on). Christine took the time to explain what was wrong with the jewelry used and I decided to get the jewelry changed on the second forward helix piercing as well. Christine was very helpful in making sure my jewelry was changed correctly and explained what I should expect with my healing due to the previously improper jewelry and the new jewelry. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The process was overall efficient and timely. The jewelry was a little more than I wanted to spend but it was worth it.

I wanted an impromptu ear piercing and was able to get in with these guys immediately. Having only ever been to mall-style piercing places I was confronted with a little “sticker shock” but decided to get pierced anyway. I was not disappointed by anything from the warm greeting, the careful and detailed explanation of the procedure, and the friendly and quick ethic of the piercer—Nick. They're always friendly, respectful, and they make you feel at ease about your piercings. I've recommended friends, and they've also had really good experiences. UPDATE: I continue to go there because they continue to be AMAZING at their craft. I have multiple piercings, Hazel and Dylan really are beautiful humans, and the experience is SO above par and professional. Even other customers are nice. I recommend coming here for ALL piercings regardless of age, size, color, race, gender (as they are inclusive), etc.

Went there with my friends of mine together got nostril piercings. The purple chairs were super cute! The shop was very clean and I love that they display all their jewelry pieces. They were busy on a Sunday even people who didn't make appointments were willing to wait so I knew we had picked the right place to go. We had made appointment weeks ahead. The staff was super friendly and professional, the woman explained everything and showed all of the choices to pick from (compared to the place I normally go to where its a stud and thats it) was it pricey? Yes but worth it! They got us all in fairy decent timing we didn't mind waiting outside the shop with the nice weather. Nick was super great! He made me feel safe and knew what he was doing, didn't even tear up with the needle going in. I will be going back there for future piercings! Also thanks to the woman who liked my green hair at the front desk :)

Masks required. Only one parent in the piercing room. Sadly I was not the chosen one. I felt the price was high. $180 to get two earlobes pierced and still need to spend another $25 for shorter posts. All in all it was a good experience for my 7yo. So, I'm giving an average review since I didn't go into the piercing room and can't factor in the process or bedside manner.

i ADORE piercology. i have been there a total of 3 times and i will trust no one else with my piercings at this point. christine did my second lobes and septum, and nick did my tragus today. every single time i’ve been there the staff have been super informative and kind. even today with my tragus, which might be the most pain i’ve ever felt, i felt very comfortable and taken care of. i’ve seen some reviews about them being expensive, and i see what they’re saying, but the price to pierce is incredibly reasonable. some of the jewelry can get up there, but it’s incredibly high quality and comfortable. when people come in to the store i work at looking for body jewelry that we don’t carry, i send them to piercology. couldn’t recommend them highly enough. happy healing!

I called in to see how much a nipple repair would be. One of my rings fell out and it had been a few days and the piercing was starting to close. I was quoted $30 otp with a $5 sanitation fee. I went in and decided to buy both rings so they would match. She sanitized both rings but I did advise I could put my right side in by myself but she stated the piercer could do it with no problem. For both rings & the install the total came up to $69.50. I do feel like that’s expensive especially since they were just basic rings & that’s almost how much I paid when I originally got them done. But overall a good experience but their prices are kinda expensive.

I got my first piercing done at Piercology in 2000 and I don't go anywhere else for piercings or jewelry. I've had people talk about the prices of the jewelry at the shop being too high but I am quick to dismiss an individual who wants piercings, jewelry, and/or tattoos to be cheap. Personally, I don't bargain shop for body modifications. I'm altering, at the very least, my skin so I'm more concerned about the quality of the product and service I receive, which had always been impeccable at Piercology The entire staff is responsible, knowledgeable, and professional and the service they provide reflects that. Dylan is an amazing person and piercer. I highly recommend this shop.

Overall I think Piercology is a good, professional place. However, I do think that sometimes the staff can be a bit pushy. I’ve gotten plenty of piercings from them before, and they have all healed rather well, except for this most recent time. Could be a mistake on my part, but I’m a veteran when it comes to tattoos and piercings. I have a deviated septum, so when I got my septum pierced, it’s slightly crooked. It’s really only something I notice, and you can only tell if you’re staring at me. Also I’m a bit hard of hearing, and when I said that I was when a staff member tried to get my attention and I didn’t respond (because I didn’t hear), they replied with “well, I don’t like being loud, but if you want me to I can.” And while this isn’t a bad statement, it kind of embarrassed me. You don’t have to necessarily be louder for someone who is hard of hearing. A simple smile and wave at my direction and I would have probably noticed. Also my piercer was slightly condescending to me. I also got my double helix redone and it swelled really badly and tried to eat the bar. I probably should have mentioned I swell really badly, that way I could have had, off the bat, much bigger bars and would have had to save the uncomfortableness of having the old bars taken out. However, they did it for free. And gave me my aftercare cleaning supplies for free, as it was my birthday. Overall, I recommend them! Like any place, it’s hit or miss, but I think the staff is usually friendly. I think that Piercology does actively strive (and succeeds) with good customer service. I’m also impressed with how they sanitize the jewelry before they put it into your piercings. I’ve never had a piercing place do that before. I can agree with the reviews that say that there’s not much in terms of jewelry variety, but it’s good starter jewelry. You can always start with something from them and when you want to buy a different piece elsewhere. That way you’re still getting your piercing, still giving them business, and still getting what you want.

I would have gave them five stars but you're not able to wait in the lobby anymore and also because they are a bit overpriced compared to other places. Other than that they are a good clean and knowledgeable and do good work their customer service for the most part is good too. I know that a lot of places have different guidelines concerning covid-19 but it's a little too cold outside to wait your turn. I would suggest to make an appointment so that you're not waiting outside in the cold to get your piercing done.

Jury is still out, we'll have to see what happens when I invoke my warranty. I got my septum done on Friday. He knew it was crooked when he did it and pushed really hard to redo it instantly even though I was bleeding like a stuck pig (and I have NEVER bled for any of my piercings). I didn't feel it was wise to have the guy that messed it up the first time "fix" it. Took it out that night. I'll update after I have it fixed. He also drove the needle into the opposite nostril. Also, I bought a stud for my nostril that I've been slowly gauging back up (it never closed) coz hello.. cartilage. They insisted that I let them put it in and he stretched it all in one go, ripping it. Fantastic, right? 🙄

The wait wasn’t too bad for a walk in, Nick Strange is an excellent I mean excellent 150%, he took care of me and performed my piercings was extremely gentle and very knowledgeable, I do have to say it might be pricey, but if you want quality and cleanliness, this is the way to go personally after experiencing a bad double infected ears from piercings, I much rather pay for a safe and sterile environment and procedure than go the inexpensive way, I went elsewhere for two piercings and got such a bad infection that I will not recommend the other place (stinging ink) , I am very happy with the quality and service I received that I would def recommend going to Piercology. Cannot recommend Piercology highly enough! I’ve gotten 7 piercings with them, and they’ve all healed very well without infections/issues. I’m not really one to leave reviews, but after my last interaction with them I felt like I needed to. One of my piercings needed a shorter post after the healing finished up, and normally I would have just gone into the shop to have them change it out. However, I moved to North Carolina last year so I had to order one online. I had no idea what gauge or length I needed so I called them to ask for general advice, they were able to look up my profile and find the piercing I was talking about to tell me the gauge they used and the next post length to switch to. It was very unexpected but so nice!

Want a great experience getting pierced, this is your place. I called from out of state, and had several questions about a few of my older piercings and, she answered all of them. We did have to wait but, they are limiting the amount of people in the building due to covid-19. This was not a huge deal as it was a beautiful day and, they had a porch we could sit on. After picking out my jewelry (they have so many great pieces to choose from) I went back to one of the piercing rooms and, everything was explained well, the procedures in place to keep everything clean and sterile were great. I will mention they were doing these procedures before Covid so, I really wasn't concerned in that area anyway. I had my jewelry installed and was on my way. Professional, clean, very sterile, and definitely friendly. Probably one of the best piercing shops I've ever been to and I had 5 piercings before this one all from different places. Prices are a bit high, but still the cheapest in the area I've noticed so far. Jewelry prices changing is annoying but expected and not their fault, just make sure you get an estimate before agreeing to the piercing. All in all a very good experience. Would definitely go again and recommend.

They have everything you need to take care of your new piercing and they make sure you know how to use it all. Tuesdays and Thursdays are get two piercings for the price of one (you pay the piercing fee for one piercing and the price of jewelry for both and get the other piercing done for free - but you can only get a total of 3 piercings per day per person, regardless of where they are on the body) No appointments are needed and they have a pricing list online.

I only came in for a replacement of my piercing and the guy forced the piercing in instead of wiggling it into the right place leaving it soar and bleeding a little. I can't recommend Piercology enough. I highly recommend them for their customer service and quality! I'm quite the wimp when it comes to pain but they made me feel comfortable from the get-go and my piercer was really patient when I needed a second before standing up once it was done. The pain really wasn't bad and worth it to have a cool piercing! I'm also a slow healer and went back 2-3 times while my piercing was healing to make sure it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Each time coming back they made me feel like a valued customer and took their time to reassure me even though they weren't getting anything out of it. They could have easily passed me off after making money off of me from the initial piercing but they care a lot about the aftercare as well and that to me is what makes great customer service.

I had Kelsi perform my double ear piercings and she did an amazing job. She double (if not triple) checked to make sure that everything lined up evenly before it was finalized. The staff at the sales counter are friendly and helpfull, they make sure you understand the process and will get you the proper jewelry to fit your needs as well as what you need to care for your new piercings during the healing time.. The person who did my piercing was Christine and she was great, professional and very good at her job. I 100% recommend this spot for your needs. A little more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for and Piercology use the best jewelry and its staff know what they're doing. Trust me, it's better to get your work from experts and not use a tattoo shop that is cheap but not qualified to do the work as I once did. I will be back for all my piercing needs in the future. Also, they have a great 2 for 1 certain days that is a great deal (note that this special is not being offered during the Covid-19 outbreak to keep in store traffic limited for safety reasons)

LOVE this place. I accidentally pulled the jewelry of one of my cartilage piercings through the hole by yanking it too hard, causing a bloody, sore mess and stuck jewelry. I didn't know what to do so I rushed over to the shop and they took such great care of me! I got my septum pierced by Mike last night. The whole experience was awesome. My anxiety was super high, piercings scare me (but yeah I still get them.) I was anxious ALL day before this. Anyway, I didn't even feel the needle. I have ZERO pain tolerance. So, Mike must be a magician or something. All of the other employees/piercers when I arrived were super friendly and welcoming. As for cleanliness, this place is extremely clean - you can tell when you walk in, it even smells sanitary. I had a wonderful experience and will 110% be coming back. Thank you SO much! :)

I am a professional adult who has not had anything pierced since the 3rd grade but I wanted to get my nose done and had heard this was a great place to go. From the outside it's not much, but when you walk in you can see how clean and professional this place is. The women at the counter was VERY knowledgeable about nose ring types and various metals, as well as cleaning and the healing process. After I selected my nose ring, I was taken bake to a small but IMMACULATE room, by my piercer (who's name I forgot). He walked me through the process, showing me the tools he would use and how they had been cleaned. He then pierced me quickly and with almost no pain. He had gloves on the whole time and changed them at each step of the procedure. It felt cleaner than a hospital. I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you want anything pierced. I will be taking my kiddo here when she is ready to get her ears done.

But, at least he was willing to redo it instead of sending me off with something crooked. They were done by two males (at the same time upon my request) and they both treated me with the utmost respect! Very very professional! They gave me all the info I needed and kept asking if there was anything else I wanted to know or they could do for me. One of the piercers gave me his card with his personal number in case I had any questions or concerns. They allowed my fiancé to be in the room with me and even included him in the conversations. I got a new piercing out of state and was having tons of trouble trying to get it to heal. I found the shop on Google and popped on to see if they could give me some tips. I was greeted warmly by the receptionist and after waiting for a few minutes I presented my problem. They swapped out my old jewelery for a set of titanium studs with gorgeous little opals and I haven't had a problem since!

This place is very pricy and they will try to upsell you on everything. But this is just from my male non-pierced body. My girlfriend loves this place and is basically one of the only places she trusts to get her ear pierced. They do just about every piercing you could imagine and more that I had never even realized exists. It's the only real piercing place I know so it gets a good. Knocked one for the price (even though they do have some weekly deals).

Went in today on a whim after turning to my best friend this morning and telling her we needed piercings. This was my second time coming to Piercology, I came in 2 years prior to get my conch done, which was a fantastic experience. Walked right in and everyone in the front was so accommodating and friendly. I gave them full control over deciding my piercing, as they are professionals and know how to curate an ear. After discussing a few options, I decided on getting 3 piercings in my flat. The wait wasn’t too long, and the people in front were chatting and making conversation with us, including the owner who was incredibly friendly and cracking jokes with us. After about 20 minutes, Kelsi came to take us to the room. She was incredibly thorough with telling us what she was going to be doing, how she would be doing it, what she needs us as the client to do to ensure the best outcome/after care, etc. She took care of my best friend first, as she’s a nervous person by nature and she needed to get her 3 out of the way first. The whole time Kelsi made sure she was comfortable, asked if she needed breaks, etc. She was done in no time. With mine, it was exactly the same. She changed my conch ring out for a tighter, more snug piece and made sure that I was happy with the look and helped by suggesting sizes, gauges, etc. We started on the piercings and again, made sure that I was comfortable and doing ok during the whole process (3 piercings one right after the other in the same general area is A LOT). It came out absolutely perfect. My second experience was even better than my first there, and I’m so happy I went back today. Kelsi is an amazing piercer and I will for sure be going back to her for more work. You can tell she loves what she does and she has so much fun while doing it. I highly recommend to anyone looking for new art to be added to their bodies!

I love this place! I got my VCH piercing here and I am very satisfied with the results. The artists are very professional and mature. I was nervous about getting this piercing because I'm a bit conservative, but my artist made me very comfortable through the whole process. My artists used correct anatomical terminology throughout the piercing process, which made it feel more like a medical procedure than a private piercing. They all wear scrubs and they are very sanitary. The prices are ideal, as well. I recommend this place to all my friends!

I cannot put into words how good of an experience I had getting my forward helix and rook done. I went with my friend and she got a double helix. Dave did a great job! We went on buy 1 get 1 Thursday so it was crazy busy but we weren't rushed during any part of the process. Picking out jewelry was fun and we had lots of options. I have been to Piercology several times to get pierced and each time as been a great experience. I've had three cartilage piercings, an industrial, and today a vch piercing done. Each time, the staff has been friendly and helpful as well as very experienced in aftercare, making sure I have what I need to have my piercings heal properly. Even if you decide not to purchase their antibacterial soap, they still give you a small bag of sea salt for salt soaks. When my friend came back after some irritation with her nose piercing, they sent her off with a second bag to use despite the fact that she only had come in for someone to take a look at the piercing. And if you still have issues with the piercing not healing properly like my friend did, they are willing to have you come in so they can take a look at it for free. The actual procedure has always been very professional; each time I get nervous and each time the piercer has always been calm and talked me through the procedure. This was especially true today, seeing as I was getting a genital piercing. Despite the awkwardness of being half naked in front of a stranger, I didn't feel uncomfortable because my piercer took such care to tell me what he was doing and talk to me throughout the quick process. The store is very hygienic in its procedures; all jewelry is sterilized before use and kept in secure packaging until it is about to be inserted. The piercer always wears gloves and changes them between getting the placement of the piercing and the piercing itself. The jewelry used is high quality- I believe all of it is from Anatometal- and never irritates me like past jewelry has. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Piercology to anyone considering getting a piercing; I still come here despite having moved away from the area because I trust them to do a great job.

I think like most teenage girls, I got both of my ear lobes pierced at Claire's when I was like 12, so I was a little nervous to go somewhere else. I am so glad I found out about this place. The only thing that made me a little sad was the price, its a little more than I expected; I paid a little under 60. Piercology has been taking care of me since April of this year- when I decided to get my philtrum re-pierced. I walked in with a lot of apprehension- the first time I had it done (somewhere else) it was INCREDIBLY painful, never healed and was quite tender a lot despite my care of it. Eventually I took it out and gave up. I feared that the second time I got it redone it would hurt worse than the first time and the same thing would happen. I was put at total ease and my piercer, Dylan was so professional and knew how to make me laugh and relax through the process. Before I knew it my philtrum was redone and it was almost PAINLESS. I couldn't believe it and knew this second time around would be a success. Today I revisited, as I recently downsized my post- and have been traveling a lot and had some mild discomfort that I attributed to traveling, drinking some alcohol, a lot of sodium, you know the works from the holidays. I figured I would go in and just grab some aftercare and be gone. When I walked in I was warmly welcomed and asked what I came in for- I explained briefly and then had a couple of the front desk staff say "hey, lets take a look." They suggested getting a consultation, as I might need to size my post up to help with my swelling. Christine assured me that all of the holiday fun was exactly what happened and educated me on when to sometimes consider getting a longer post versus keeping it in, cleaned my lip and then we changed the post out and I found immediate relief. Dylan even stopped me on the way out to take a look and reaffirmed everything Christine told me. Even if I end up moving out of state, I will always make an effort to come back to Piercology. The professionalism of the staff and the will to educate clients on proper care is some of the best service I have received in Columbus out of ANY category. I left with my lip feeling a ton better, feeling a lot better about the effort I have been putting in for my piercing, and super thankful for this staff! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the work you all do.

I went to get my nose pierced and they did a great job, fast and quick. My only small complaint was that the guy was a bit rude at first. My friend and I walk into the room, he doesn't greet us, i say hello, he just gives my friend a death stare and says "...can you close the door???" As if she could read his mind. We didn't know if he was going to do it himself, explain things first, walk out to do something else, etc. After that he was friendly and very talkative.

Day 3 after having my nostril pierced and it's all good. There's no swelling, tenderness, or redness. #Piercology is still the best place to have anything like this done y'all. I'd gotten my upper ear pierced about 20 years ago at #Piercology when they were located on High Street where #HighStreetTattoo is currently. (My go to place for ink...best place ever... go check em out) The attention to details, beyond hospital level clean and overall good vibes have not diminished in the years that have passed. Walking in to a busy store meant I had to wait a few minutes, but it was worth it to be able to watch how the two young women behind the counter handled questions and requests and interacted with their customers; which was done with kindness and an intense level of knowing their stuff. My turn at tbe counter I was allowed to choose my jewel, receive after care instructions and invited to wait for my piercer which wasn't very long. John Wright was the gentleman who did the deed on Thursday. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We talked as he prepped his instrument tray; which I appreciated. I've been through a few surgical procedures lately, but l still had a slight case of jitters. I approved the placement of my piercing, with his putting a dot on my nose. Then my skin was thoroughly sterilized. Once John had everything ready, he explained what going to happen, handed me a couple of tissues in case my eye produced a tear at tbe piercing (it did) he gave me a moment to collect myself and instructed to breathe in deeply... on the slow exhale he pierced my nostril. It didn't hurt any worse than having an IV started, or a flu shot. He was fast and had very steady hands. My jewel was placed, he cleaned up the tiny amount of blood afterwards and handed me a mirror to see. I liked it. No, I loved it, and so did he. Asking if he could take pix for his co-workers, to which I agreed, John snapped a couple of photos with his phone. I was given plenty of time to collect myself afterwards, never hurried or rushed. I got his card with instructions to contact him if I had any questions or concerns which I totally appreciated. Tne ladies out front asked to see the results when I came strutting out and they both gave me 2 thumbs up. Overall totally awesome experience. This shop comes highly recommended if you're considering a piercing; it's well worth your time to see what Piercology has to offer.

I have been going here for 18 years and think they are a fantastic shop. Unfortunately I’ve had a rather upsetting visit the past couple of times I’ve gone. I bought a decent amount of jewelry the time before last that I visited and the spiral earrings I bought had gems falling out (which are supposed to be gaurenteed for life but the manufacturer discountinued them) and the replacement ball I bought for my septum fell off, both after only two weeks. I went back and they did offer me a set of replacement earrings of equal value or a gift card for the earrings. I didn’t like any of their other gauges because honestly their supply is really limited so I opted for the gift card which ended up being a value that was less than half what I paid for (I don’t think they knew how much they sold the earrings to me to begin with and it’s my fault for not saying something) and I had to repay for the ball for my septum. Afterwards I left with broken earrings I can’t wear, $45 in the whole, and $5 gift card. I love their professionalism and cleanliness when they are piercing but the bottom line is you need to buy additional jewelry elsewhere.

The person who pierced me was very knowledgeable and open about the procedure. I had got my nostril pierced and I was happy with the procedure. My 3 star rating comes from the follow-up. About 3 weeks after I got my nose pierced, I noticed that the stud was sinking down into the hole and skin was starting to heal over top, a keloid was starting to develop as well. I know that keloids are a common side affect so no blame on the shop when it comes to that. But I called Several times to get advice from the shop and I was never able to get ahold of anyone. I live far away, so I couldn't just swing by before or after work. Eventually I left a message for the person who had done my piercing to ask what I should do, or if there was any way to minimize the keloid ...but I still never heard back. I really would've appreciated some feedback but unfortunately there was never any response on their end. I Won't be going back to purchase jewelry or have any piercings done in the future.

Loved the guy who pierced my friend and I. He was super nice and awesome. We both got nostrils. I told him how I had mine done before but let it be done too far back so I couldn't have a hoop. He made sure that I was able to have a hoop this time and his placement was awesome. My only issue was the initial sales pitch of jewelry from the girl that was setting us up at the counter. She was hardcore pushing gold on us and when we asked for something a little more cost friendly she brought out the "economical" choices. As a sales person when you say "economical" it's like a backhand. It's the nice way of saying cheap and it's a bad sales tactic. I'm not trying to belittle her in anyway, I know it's hard to sell stuff and use the right verbage. It just hit my friend and I in the wrong way. It would have been awesome if she asked us what price range we were looking in and let us feel less like we were being cheap. I know a piercing is an investment and that's why we chose piercology over any ol' tattoo shop. I also know it's hard to please just about everyone also so that's why I kept it at 4 stars. You guys are awesome, just work on the verbage please. 😉❤️

I went in by myself and almost had 2nd thoughts because all I did see was men behind the counter. As I approached the counter everyone was very welcoming and polite! And I have had some crappy piercings...I got my Rook and tragus done last year and I want to say Ben piercied me I could be wrong, For starters the establishment is very laid back and CLEAN! From the front to the back private room you're getting your piercings in. My percings went rather quick and they were centered exactly how I wanted them, My jewlery matches my anatomy and it doesn't look all messy and off, I will definitely come back and I have told others about this place..Only draw back is I wasnt offered a VIP card and it was when they were still being handed out, I'm aware that they're no longer be given out...So my piercings were pretty pricey, But it's cool I'll take quality over quanity anyday. I went in having had a bad piercing at a joe shmo shop and was having so much trouble with it. So I went in to Piercology and found out the metal ring I had was low grade and aggravating my skin. They explained to me the different types of metals and got me a good ring, took out the old one and put the new one in. I went in about 2pm by 10 pm all the swelling and tenderness was gone. These guys know their stuff and if you have time and they have time good conversation can be had by all. Highly recommend Ben and the staff there!

I got pierced here on like the 3rd of September this year. I went in for a nose piercing which to me is pretty standard. I looked up complications and what to expect. I was prepared. So I went and I paid 55 dollars to be pierced and buy the jewelry from them. Very shortly after I was pierced, a bump on my nose developed, which I understood was common. But it kept growing. I was positive it was not infection, and I have never had a keloid in my 30 years. I considered hypertrophic scarring but all of my scars, including one where my foot was almost detached, are completely flat. I made the decision to retire this piercing after a scab developed over my piercing and refused to heal. Overnight my bump is nearly gone. I am positive I was having an immune response to their jewelry. I had a really great experience there but this has been the only piercing I've ever EVER had difficulty with and while I'm not pointing any blame, I either will not return or will make sure I bring my own jewelry for them to autoclave.
