Jennifer was just amazing!! She was so sweet, and explained everything so well before doing anything. Then after she explained how to care for my new Piercing! She did not rush me, and answered all of my questions. This shop was super clean, everyone was friendly. Great vibes all around. I’m so glad I chose this shop for my Septum Piercing!

I can't say enough positive things about this place. The modern tattoo parlor, the cleanest shop I've ever been in. The artists are fantastic, my experience with Hans was exceptional. They were able to express a natural sense of artistry and a deftness with the needle. I'm very impressed with the ownership and the shop should be awarded for the general Above & Beyond nature of the experience. Best in Charleston hands down. Give them all your money.

I’ve been going to Electric Sanctuary Tattoo since August 2021 and have had a phenomenal experience. My tattooer has been Hans and they are excellent in what they do. I came in wanting a sleeve which involved a coverup and they took my arm and turned it into an amazing piece. You can’t even tell it was a cover up. We have had 4 sessions so far and each session has been way above standard or what I even expected. They are very communicated in what they plan to do and accomplish. Hans is by far the best tattooer I have ever been to, to be able to free hand floral just from thought is shocking to me. That takes so much talent and skill. I’m in love with my sleeve and can not wait to finish it and start on a new project! Pricing, scheduling, cleanliness and environment of the shop is great. 10/10 recommend Electric Sanctuary for your tattoo or piercing experience. You will not be disappointed.

Amber and Jen are amazing piercers. Went to Amber to have a botched septum piercing fixed (she wasn't the one who botched it) and went back to have a nostril re-pierced. Jen was part of the consultation and while there I realized that she was the one who pierced my daughter several years ago. Definitely a high quality studio with artists who give attention to detail.

Jennifer is amazing! She explained the full piercing process, her tools, aftercare, and so much more when I went in for my lobe piercings. She was so sweet, too! Definitely recommend her!

Kevin has done 4 tattoos for me. One was a cover up and he did a phenomenal job. You can't tell what was there before. He was super professional, as my first idea just didn't look right on that part of my body. So he asked me questions and helped me come up with something totally better than my original idea. I need to get in and see him asap. I love everything he does. He is so worth the wait. He is an amazing artist. Edit: went in today 1.4.21 and Amber did 2 piercings for me. She was great. Explained everything and was super sweet. I love this shop! It is the best in Charleston. Thank you again!!

This is more a review of Black Eagle since I haven't been to the shop but most of my interaction has been with Hans and Max. Hans is amazing. All the work she's done for me is great. Max is a great guy who's fun to talk to and gave me one of my first tattoos and it's still bright orange. I'll definitely be booking a tattoo here soon. Max does seem like he charges more than some of the others there.

I've had 2 tattoos done by Hans. They worked with me and gave me exactly what I wanted and at the time I didn't even know what that was. I wouldn't reccomend anywhere but here. Really professional and the best tattoo work I've ever had! If you're in the market for a new tattoo artist this is the place to be. Check out their instagram, it speaks for itself.

Max did a really amazing job on my tattoo! I get compliments about it all of the time! Was looking for a new place and I'll totally be back! Love the vibe of the place and who doesn't like listening to the Greatful Dead? He totally listened to what I wanted and fixed it right up and even fixed a small detail that I noticed before we started, no arguing what so ever. Someone drew this special for me, and he didn't take anything away from it! He did it exactly how the paper showed! What a stellar place! Will be back for sure, babes.

I’ve been tattooed by everyone here, pierced and had jewelry changed. If you want a shop that’s going to tattoo whatever you want and just take your money, this is not for you. I have watched the tattooers explain why certain things wouldn’t work, while offering alterations; same with the piercers when it comes to piercings that are cute and trendy, but can be damaging long term. There isn’t a price tag on their integrity and that’s important when you’re trusting someone with body modification.

The staff was very friendly and prices are reasonable. Make sure to look for the entrance door as it's a little hard to see from the street. The shop is downstairs in the basement of the building.
