I could not speak more highly of this shop. We messaged the night before to inquire about walk in tattoos and they fit all three of us in and basically spent all day with us. Felicia was an absolute joy and gave me two incredible horror tattoos. If I didn’t move across the country on Friday the 13TH I would’ve been first in line to see her again. This shop is so well run, friendly, funny, and down to earth. I will be SO back for my scary movie ghost face. Wazzzzzup!

GO SEE SAM!! She is a phenomenal person and is absolutely phenomenal at her job. I had a cartilage piercing done and I'm so happy with how it looks. You can't feel too nervous because she does everything she can to make you feel comfortable, cared for, and informed. She has a talent for visualizing the ideal placement, isn't afraid to say no to horrible ideas, and she genuinely gets stoked about creating the best experience for each person. THE ONLY PLACE IN BOISE TO GET YOUR PIERCINGS. Sam is knowledgeable, patient, flexible, and kind. Truly, stop your search and go here. I made the mistake of going elsewhere for my nose (nostril) piercing in November 2021. I developed a bump that wouldn’t go away for MONTHS. I went back to the place I got the piercing multiple times for help, and little did I know the recommendations they were giving me were harmful to my skin. Fast forward to March 2022 — I go to my doctor because I’m so discouraged, and we realized that the material of the piercing was NOT implant grade, and therefore has nickel and is an irritant to most skin types (like why would you even offer this?!). AND it was a corkscrew piercing which is just painful (I didn’t know any better!!). I went to Sam based on reviews, and she gave me hope that I could keep my nose piercing. She helped me pick a piercing that I could customize, explained the science and reasoning behind piercing care, and was kind enough to give me her card to text any additional questions and to come back in. Now, two weeks later my bump is almost entirely gone and I love my new piercing so much! I have major regrets that I didn’t go to Sam in the first place - it would have saved me money and prevented so much anxiety and stress.

Amazing! I came in for a piercing appointment to get two lower lip piercings. I had an awesome experience with Sam, she was extremely professional and took her time making sure everything was placed right and done perfectly! I absolutely recommend going to her to get pierced. Everything was super clean and well done. She also took the time to measure everything as well to make sure it was well placed and even! She was very friendly and easy to talk to during the whole process. She can also anodize jewelry, and everything is very good quality. Best piercing experience I've ever had!

Sam was an amazing piercer, she was very thorough and professional with her work and knew what she was doing and talking about, I felt super comfortable getting it done with her to the point where I wasn’t even nervous to get it done anymore, I already have a nose piercing on one nostril and I went in for the other nostril, she did it absolutely perfect, my friend got a piercing done at another shop the other day and that piercer even commented and said how much of a great job my piercer did with aligning mine, it felt really good and I definitely gave this place a shout out and recommended her. Best choice I’ve made 100%.

No wonder everyone was ranting about Sam! She excells at her job. She explained the whole process to me and kept checking in to make sure I was comfortable. She made sure the piercing was in the exact spot I wanted, and checked for blood vessels (which I've never had anyone do before, but is obviously important!) The jewelry is quality so I don't have to worry about my allergies, and she helped me change another piercing that was irritated. I had a piercing like this before and they said I could only have a stud until the swelling went down, but Sam got a bigger hoop and my preferred gauge so I can have it look how I want! It looks even better than I imagined. This whole experience made my day. I'm glad I went to Skin Deceptions and now I won't go anywhere else!

Sam is an amazing human being! after trying to get my second piercing on the other side of my nose at icon and them totally messing it up making it uneven, me and my sister decided to try somewhere else. We came across skin deceptions reviews and they were great but I was still sussed out by my last experience. However, Sam did the complete opposite of my other experience!! My sister got her other side of her nose pierced by her and she took her time and perfectionist skills to make it exactly even and informed us about so many things in the process! It did not feel awkward or weird in there at all. Shes just very real and raw and knows what she’s doing which is why even I gave her a tip even though I hadn’t gotten a service yet but honestly she deserves it. Get your piercings with sam at skin deceptions and give her a fat tip! Can’t wait to get piercings from her myself !

I hadn't had a new piercing for almost 10 years. I went and saw Sam, March 1st to get 2 piercings. She made me feel so comfortable, her place is super clean and she has this abundant radiation of happy. It was hard to even be nervous. One week later my piercings are just perfect. I love how much she put into my piercings making them symmetrical, making sure my jewelry was perfect for me. I'll definitely go back to Sam, even if I have to drive the 400 miles to her shop. Hands down one of the BEST!

When Covid hit this place shut down for a couple weeks. They try to figure out how to best serve the public under the circumstances we all were facing. Their shop is one of the cleanest I have ever been to. Everybody there is always super friendly, and super accommodating. They all have a good knowledge and understanding of any requests that you could possibly make. Every single person there was very friendly, very professional and the prices were great for what you would get. I always saw Jeff, he doesn’t work there anymore, but his prices were definitely very reasonable for what you get. I’d highly recommend ethos place also for piercings. Sam did mine and she was super friendly, informative and when I had questions a few weeks later it was easy to go in and get my nose checked. 10/10 service

Brian was my artist doing a cover-up on my lower forearm of a supposed to be lil angel with my daughters name that went horribly wrong! Went in for a Friday the 13th tattoo with my friend. We were one of the last 5 people who got their tattoos. The artist Jeff is amazing and I would like to have him do more of my tattoos. There was one artist, I think his name was Treston, he took a look at our stencils (only 5 of us left) and said that they were too hard and he didn't want to do anymore tattoos for the night. I get that all the artists were tired but my friend, the other lady, and I just thought that was unprofessional. 5 stars for all the other artists who worked their ass off and didn't complain.
