Hey, World before coming to Northwest Surgery Center my feet were horrible they hurt all the time and I couldn't wear flip flops or any open toes shoes, my feet just were horrible looking. Now, after Northwest Surgery loves the way my feet look, I can wear my lovely shoes and my feet don't hurt anymore, and the downtime was little to none not what the big hospital was telling me it was going to be. I was able to walk after surgery and doing recovery back to work after a very short stay at home. If I had the choice to send someone to have surgery on their feet this will be the place

This was the greatest decision I ever made. I lived with bunion pain for so many years. I heard bunion surgery was so painful I decided I didn’t want to have it. I saw a commercial on TV and it sounded too good to be true. I went for the free consultation and scheduled my surgery right away. I had no idea I could love shoes. I no longer had to buy wide shoes because of bunion pain. One month after my surgery I had the other foot done. It has been a year now and I can’t believe the bunions and pain is gone. Those of you who suffer like I did realize the pain never goes away even when you sleep. Just the soft touch of a sheet or blanket caused pain. I’m happy to report that I’m pain free. Thank you Northwest Surgery Center. Dr. Brant is a life saver and his staff is second to none.

It has been a year since I had my bunion removal at Northwest Surgery Center in Wauwatosa and I have been nothing short of thrilled! The procedure went seamlessly and within a month I was out of the boot and into regular shoes. In all honesty it took about 6 months before I truly felt that my foot was completely healed. Other than a small incision scar on the side of my foot you could never guess that I had lived with a painful bunion on my right foot for over 20 years. Dr. McCartan and the entire staff were always helpful and accommodating when answering questions and addressing concerns. I had a bone spur removed from my left big toe joint last summer. Dr. McCartan and his nursing staff were very pleasant, professional, and thorough in explaining the procedure and answering any questions I had. The procedure and recovery were uneventful. My left foot looks so much better, and I can wear sandals and boots once again! I would definitely recommend Northwest Surgery Center!

Northwest Surgery Center is a great team of people working a great system. I explored my options at a regular hospital before choosing Northwest. Nothing I found was as simple, straight-forward, or as non-intrusive as the methods used at Northwest Surgery Center. I particularly liked meeting the doctor by phone prior to the surgery. Best of all, it was just a few weeks from inquiry to surgery. No long, drawn out wait. I got in quickly, got it fixed and am now living with a normal looking and functioning foot. Thanks gang. I had surgery on both feet just over 2 weeks ago. Soft casts gone, stitches removed, done with the special walking boots. I drove myself home after both surgeries (done a day apart), and with a little icing, elevation, and Tylenol, the recovery was relatively easy. While the toes are a little sore, I am able to get around with minimal discomfort. Dr. McCartan is professional, yet friendly and personable. His staff are friendly and efficient, and take care of paperwork and insurance in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

This was the best experience I have ever had with surgery. The staff was amazingly supportive and friendly and made the process easy. Dr Brandt is absolutely wonderful. He was calming and supportive and took time to explain every aspect of the procedure and the healing process. He helped me feel calm and relaxed all the way through. Starting with my initial phone call for a consultation, I was impressed by the professionalism and compassion of Dr. McCartan and his staff. Each one, including Dr. McCartan, takes time to answer questions or give encouragement. The surgery was painless and the recovery virtually pain free. It's been 8 weeks since my surgery. My feet and I are very pleased and looking forward to a pedicure and wearing cute shoes!

I had bunion surgery at NWSC in February 2021 and I walked out the same day with only a post-op shoe. I used crutches for the first week to get around but by the end of week three I was back in the line up for my bowling league. Unbelievable!!! I had some soreness from a lot of golf that following summer but nothing a good night’s sleep couldn’t take care of. No pins, no plates, no screws, just my bone cut, shaped and reset. The Doc is very good at what he does. The nurses are very helpful and the whole staff is really nice.
