Dr. Nicoson is an outstanding Doctor, he explained everything thoroughly and did an excellent job on my hand. I have no more pain in my thumb and carpal tunnel. The staff is polite and professional as well as quick. Thanks Doctor for fixing my left hand now it’s time to do the right!!!

Thank you to Dr. Nicoson and all of the staff at River Ridge surgical center. Everyone was very professional and gave great care. RN Angie was my preop nurse. She was wonderful and provided great care and kept me at ease. Dr Hill and RN Nicole did the nerve block which was amazing for pain relief. Dr. Nicoson did a great job with my surgery (CMC joint arthroplasty) and made sure i was pain free through the whole process. Post op day 1 and my pain is well controlled. Excited to see the end result in 10-12 wks. Thanks again Dr Nicoson!!

My experience with the Hand and Wrist of Louisville was a very good one. Even though I was there for a broken finger the care could not have been better. Dr. Nicoson and the staff explained everything very clearly. The information (attached) about my injury was helpful and reviewed thoroughly by Dr. Nicoson. Dr. Nichoson is an incredible doctor & surgeon. He is professional, kind, and helped me SO much! His team is, likewise, incredible and helpful. The physical therapist there, Allison, in particular was terrific. She helped me get my recovery back on track and always took the time to make sure I understood everything she was doing and why and how to keep moving forward. Last point, I never has to wait a moment in the office. The staff run a tight ship and understand the patient's time matters, too! They scheduled appropriately so Dr. Nichoson could attend to me appropriately without needlessly making others wait. I really appreciated this professionalism. I highly recommend!!!

I cannot recommend Dr.Nicoson highly enough. I began treatment in late 2021, and eventually required surgery. His aptitude, ability, and understanding of his craft is unmatched, and he and his wonderful staff made a medical procedure and follow up quite pleasant. My scar is almost invisible, and his attention to detail is unparalleled. Appointments are quick and to the point, and his choices of nurses and anesthesiologists are some of the best I have had the privilege of having care for me. His reputation amongst his peers is also outstanding, and although I hope to not need his services again, I would gladly return to his care.

I began seeing Dr. Nicoson after my previous doctor moved out of state. At that time I suffered from arthritis primarily in my right hand. I was doing injections for my index, middle and ring finger and also my thumb. I discussed ongoing pain issues with Dr. Nicoson and he explained the surgical procedures that could fix my thumb and my index finger that was permanently bent at the first joint. Surgery was January 11 and April 11 I am finished with my therapy. I have one more follow up visit and I will be discharged. I will continue to have injections until I’m ready for surgery which will be for knuckle replacements in my middle and ring finger. Dr. Nicoson is very thorough and explains everything exactly as it will occur. My scar is almost invisible too! The physical therapist Alison was awesome In getting my hand back to functioning after the surgery. The front office staff always addressed me by name and my wait time was very minimal. I couldn’t think of another doctor that I would recommend as much as Dr. Nicoson .

This may sound strange, but going to see Dr. Nicosen is a lovely experience! His staff are extremely friendly and welcome me by name as I enter the lobby. I have never waited more than a few minutes for my appointment. The office is modern and clean and sleek. Dr. Nicosen shows up, does his thing, and I'm out the door very quickly. He also takes plenty of time to talk to me about my situation. I recently had surgery on my right hand and the surgery experience was similarly "pleasant" - if you have to need a hand surgeon, this is the one you want. I cannot say enough about how great the experience has been.

I owe so much to Dr Nicosen. My left ring and pinkie finger started to curl up due to a problem with my Ulnar nerve. He said he couldn’t promise that my condition would go back to normal. But I needed surgery before it became worse. I could lose more muscle and strength in my hand. I was nervous because my condition happened so fast. I could not have asked for a better surgeon and outcome. Surgery went splendid. My fingers are almost back to normal. My scar is almost invisible. It couldn’t have turned out better. Dr Nicosen explained the procedure so I could understand it. I felt very comfortable and at ease. His office staff is awesome. I am so glad I was referred to Dr Michael Nicosen. I recommend him highly. When you are dealing with your hands, wrists, and fingers, you have to pick someone that you can trust. Dr Michael Nicosen is a dedicated and accomplished surgeon that will put your needs first.
