Dr. Hofflander and his staff have been wonderful. First, I was hospitalized due to sharp pain in my umbilical area, it was determined that I had a hernia. Surgery was recommended but could not be done same-day as there was no occlusion. My discharge recommended a particular surgeon as a follow-up visit.
Upon searching for the best surgeon in town I stumbled upon the amazing reviews for Dr. Hofflander. I called my insurance and they allowed me to see this doctor for a hernia repair surgery. I have been blown away with the professionalism of his staff and the caring, compassion and follow through from Laura, the front desk receptionist.
Surgery repair, went well, and its been two weeks, I have no stabbing pain like before. The follow-up visit with the doctor a week after the procedure, showed he really cares about his patients. He and his staff are the real deal, highly recommend for anyone looking for a general surgeon. I hope this doesn't happen to me again, but if I ever needed a general surgeon I would trust Dr. Hofflander and his staff with the procedure for myself or any family member.
Thank you Dr. Hofflander and Staff, you guys are amazing!

After years of getting the runaround from Doctors not helping me diagnose my health problems, I was referred to Dr Hofflander. Dr Hofflander had me get an ekg, ultrasound, etc (and he actually got back to me after tests were done, rare). After a through diagnosis he removed my gallbladder. It was done smoothly, in and out of the hospital in approx 4 hours. With about 4 days of rest with some bloating. After years of agony and discomfort I feel WAY better. Dr Hofflander and staff was very helpful and professional. I highly recommend Dr Hofflander for anyone.

My wife was dealing with an incision hernia in her abdomen, originating from a back and spine surgery.
Her original surgeon tried 3x to get it repaired, and failed every time.
Dr Hofflander finally took control of the situation, performed a 4th and final surgery, and was successful.
He saved her life.
Super great surgeon,
Thank you Dr. Hofflander
God BLESS YOU !

I am an OR nurse. I have worked w him for years. I sent my mother to him. He did an amazing job just like I knew he would. He is the best of the best. I would trust that man with my life, my kids lives and my families lives. I have seen many many doctors in my 25 years in the medical field. He is the top surgeon I have encountered. Absolutely have the utmost respect and admiration for that man.

I highly recommend Dr. Hofflander. He performed my gallbladder removal surgery about six months ago. Initially I was very concerned about the surgery. But his overall demeanor, patience and confidence made me feel so much better. The surgery and recovery went great and I am forever grateful for having had Dr. Hofflander as my surgeon. Thank you to Dr. Hofflander and his staff. Exceptional experience all the way around.

Dr. Hofflander is the best doctor I've ever been treated by, and I have seen my fair share. He truly values his responsibility as a doctor, and it shows. He went the extra mile to do what was best for me (not necessarily what was easiest) during my surgery, and was always attentive during my post-surgery care. I always have a lot of questions, and instead of brushing me off, he was always patient and thorough in answering them. Dr. Hofflander always made himself available when issues came up, and even helped me when a different specialist was dragging their feet. He's personable and has always made that part of my medical journey easy. Obviously, I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. Highly recommended.

I had my gallbladder removed from Dr. Hofflander about 3-4 years ago. Before I was in extreme pain and discomfort anytime I ate. But after going through the surgery and the short recovery, I haven't experienced any of those pains. It really has been a life changing event for me and I'm happy I went with him.

Dr. Ronald S. Hofflander. A more gifted surgeon you'd be hard pressed to find. In 2012 He performed a surgery that required the removal of 14 inches of my colon. I've since discovered that my condition was from many years of being exposed to Roundup. He was a godsend and I know that God led him to enter the medical field for he is extremely good at what he does. Dr. Hofflander has a warm personality and his smile tends to let you know that you're in good hands just before you go under in the operating room. When I woke up in recovery he was at my bedside checking up on me. What a guy! I do professional bodyguard service for elite individuals and I'd gladly take a bullet for him anytime. His life would be more than worth saving. His skills as a surgeon are the prime reason that many people who would have died otherwise still live and lead normal lives.
Dr. Ronald S. Hofflander. Saving lives and promoting confidence in medical care. He
is truly a medical professional that is surely one of the best of the best. God bless you Dr. H. You gave me back my life. I am eternally grateful. May God continue to bless your hands, your mind and your family. Sunrise Hospital is blessed to have you on board. Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine would be proud of you. This I am sure of.

Dr. Hofflander was my girlfriend's surgeon today @ Sunrise Hospital. She has/had Biliary Dyskinesia that's been affecting her for about two months now. After hearing from the first surgeon that "people just manage with it" and "removing it won't cure it" - She went to see Dr. Hofflander for a second opinion and it was like night and day. He showed totally confidence and assurance of this procedure; with the removal of the gallbladder. Now of course, this is a today's review but with how professional he was - She felt she made the right choice going with him. As well as I believe so too - So thank you Dr. Hofflander.
Update - 1/5/2018
Looking through all my reviews I wanted to give an update to this one as this was a big decision for my girlfriend. She is doing amazing after the recovery. The first few months after surgery took some time to adjust for her. It was mild cramps but nothing like the sharp pains she used to feel pre-op. People told us in about a year, she would be back to normal. But it actually felt like 6 months or less; she stop bringing up any cramping besides the typical menstruation cycle.
I believe she is still happy with her decision and we are happy we got that second opinion from Dr Hofflander.
