For so many years I had contemplated breast reduction surgery to help with my severe back and chest pain but was too nervous. One of my biggest reservations was potentially losing the ability to breastfeed since I didn't have kids yet. After I was told by multiple doctors I'd be unable to have children of my own, I decided it was time to go for the reduction! With lots of research I sought out Mountain Lake Plastic Surgery. Dr. Schmidt did an amazing job and was very thorough during the entire follow up process. I was especially thankful for her expertise and comfort during post-op recovery. She is knowledgeable and very personable which made the whole thing a lot less intimidating! As luck would have it, I found out soon after my surgery I was pregnant! I am happy to report that I've successfully been able to breastfeed, and (although I've gone up a couple bra sizes again with the baby) I am so thankful my 'baseline' started from a smaller size than it would have been without the surgery. It allowed for more comfort during the pregnancy. I am forever grateful for Dr. Schmidt's work and would highly recommend her to anyone considering surgery!

Dr. Schmidt at Mountain Lake is absolutely phenomenal. I had a breast reduction and lift, muscle repair and tummy tuck and a little lipo. I’m currently 4 weeks out and absolutely in love with her work. I was super nervous but she is very reassuring and answered any and all questions. The staff at the surgery center were so calming and made the whole morning of surgery a great experience. Which I think is huge because personally I was very nervous and they helped reduce my fears. The entire staff at Mountain Lake are very accommodating as well. They’ve helped answer any questions or concerns I have in a very timely manner. They were easy to work with and just over all pleasant. I have referred anyone I know who is interested in any cosmetic work to see Dr. Schmidt and I recommend you to as well. Literally the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. And it’s a HUGE bonus and sigh of relief that the work Dr. Schmidt does is 10/10!!!

Talked about what options would work best for me. They definitely didn’t try to push anything on me and making sure I knew it was all my option. If going for Breast Reconstruction, Be Aware: They don't do flap surgeries and implants are not recommended if you have had radiation. I wish I had known (or been asked some intake questions) BEFORE scheduling the appt, waiting 5 months to get in, traveling over from NY and taking time off work for the consult. The staff was very kind and respectful to me and Dr. McLennan is very knowledgeable. I appreciated her advice and recommendations (hence the 4 stars). But they (especially their schedulers) need to be more on top of this.

I haven’t had the breast reduction done yet. My first visit was great the Dr.and nurse and Jennifer are very nice. I call once a month to find out if everything is okay because I have not heard nothing it has been almost 4 months since my last appointment.I guess there is one Lady in the billing or insurance area is not very nice. She said that they tell me the same thing over and over. I only talk to her 2 times. Plus they said they would get back to me . Never happens.Please don’t make me out to be a bad person I just want to know what is going on with the surgery I get told one thing and I call my health insurance. I’m being told something else. So if I’m not getting the right answers I’m going to find out myself. I’m the one that’s going through the surgery. They told me not to call them they will call me so I don’t hear anything for awhile so I call. I’m sure you would do the same thing to if you don’t know what’s going on.So forgive me for being a pain. I just want to know what’s going to happen. Thank you.

This was my second procedure with Dr. MacLennan. As with the first, she and her team are fantastic. I had implants removed and she was careful to provide me with realistic expectations on my new look and how to assist in the “fluffing” so that my natural tissue regained as much fullness as possible. I am only a couple days post-op, but things already look great and are healing well. I highly recommend Dr. MacLennan if you are considering any type of plastic surgery, either new or revision.

I have seen Dr. MacLennan a few times this year for facial injections and she also performed surgery on me this past spring to help alleviate pain and discomfort from a challenging, personal issue. In my opinion she is a very skilled surgeon. She is also compassionate and willing to provide the necessary time for her patients to describe the issues they want to address. One of the first things I notice when I'm provided services or consultation with Dr. MacLennan is her thoughtful study of the problem, whether it's injections to help take years off your face w/o surgery or if you are in need of surgery. The first time I met with her I was immediately comforted by the attention and consideration she provided while discussing my problem/concerns. She was literally/visually studying the problem area while she was talking to me. I was comforted by my belief that she was seeing me as an individual patient and not looking at my problem with the expectation of a 'cookie cutter' outcome. I can assure others that she is a highly skilled surgeon with an artistic eye for detail and symmetry. At the same time she demonstrates a level of care and attention that will likely help any patient feel confident in their decision.

My experience with Dr. MacLennan was an absolute wonderful experience. I suffered since I was 14 with extremely large breasts and was quite large. I tried everything to help my extreme bad back, neck issues and headaches as a result to the weight I carried on the front. I tried to get a breast reduction but many turned me away...she did not! She made me comfortable right from the start (as did Alexis at the front desk) and it was the best thing I ever did. She is professional and very knowledgeable and an excellent surgeon. My husband and my mother was so impressed with her as well during the day of the surgery. I wish I had met her sooner. I give her 5 STARS and highly recommend her. Her and her team are top notch and you won’t be disappointed going to see her. Oh...one last thing...the office is clean, professional, stocked with a variety of supplies to purchase etc...as are the rooms.

I am blown away by the fine expertise of Dr. MacLennan! I recently relocated from California which you would think has the "best Plastic surgeons" anywhere. I had injections with the doctor and I have never seen so many lines disappear!!! I will get a surgery in the future, after covid, and, for now, I am HAPPY with injections. I waited 30 years to get breast implants and the moment I met Dr. MacLennan I knew I found the right doctor. I had deflated breasts from having four kids and wanted some fullness. Dr. MacLennan consulted that if I was okay with some drooping I did not need a breast lift. I had 350cc implants under the muscle with no lift and with the incision under the breast. This is a great fit for my body type and the drooping is not an issue. Dr. MacLennan was professional and courteous and quick to respond if I had any questions. The Green Mountain Surgery Center staff was amazing and the care I received from all involved was top notch. I am very happy with my results. I would recommend Dr. MacLennan to anyone looking plastic surgery.
