Reviews of Taaza Mart
Excellent Indian grocery store in Tampa, Florida.
1. Wide range of Indian food selections
2. Fresh vegetables
3. Sweets
4. A nice bakery/canteen
Most of items bearing Indian brands are available at affordable prices. We as an Indian love it. Not overpriced except for items essential for Hindu worshipping.
Very good place for Indian grocery shopping.
Well ventilated and roomy so you can maintain distance. Hand sanitizer at the entrance is filled up. Hopefully it stays that way.
Decent selection of fresh veggies and a good cafe with limited food options. The flavor is on the spicy side not dampened by excessive cream and butter, bringing out the authenticity unlike typical Indian restaurant food.
Positives- Roti making production line. This probably is the best offering coming from here. Nowhere I’ve tasted packaged rotis so fresh and flavorful. Out of the three flavors on the menu - whole wheat, multi grain and methi - I found multi grain the most wholesome.
Negatives- This place would’ve gotten a 5 * from me a couple of months ago. However, a couple of things have creeped up. 1. Prices have gone up and they no longer have the advantage over other grocers on this count. 2. Customer service is hit and miss. Didn’t see any effort from them to understand customer questions and answer properly.
We were quiet trilled to try the place. Unfortunately maybe in future i would have better things to say!
We visited this place just to try to food at the cafe.
Things we tried which was a hit... Mysore bonda, Veg samosa , Dosa ( although the smabar was a not very good ) Again the Dosa aswell came not too crisp n hot but the overall taste was fine.
A mist try are their fresh ladus. Motichoor and sooji are what we tried and was unlike any i have had in along time. They are fresh and taste good. Their baked goods like pluk cake a fruit cake also are a hit and a must try.
What we dint like ... Chinese is a complete NO.
I was able to click pics . One is chicken lolipop which when we got first was dry , chewy, and cold. I ahd to take it back to let them knw they were not nicely done. They immediately replaced it with another which looked like the same set fried again to make it hot and served with side of some shezwan sauce , which was the only good thing on that plate. Lolipop was again oily( this time as it was refried since we told them it was cold and chewy) the only taste u will get is the taste of turmeric ( sadly or some food colour which refuses to leave ur fingers inspite of washing ) . We also tried the shezwan fried rice which tasted like one but the rice was raw . We have also tried chicken manchurian and chicken chille. Both gravies were either too sweet and sour or just too hot and sweet. In both dishes the chicken pieces were boneless yet tough and chewy. I mean it gives you a good jaw massage after chewing on the chicken. We also tried the rotis which are freshly made. The dough is the same used for making mysore bonda and the taste was not like any fresh roti. I did notice a lot of people buying that so i tried the normal roti and the methi ones. This review is from visiting the cafe on two different occasions. I guess the next time we might try other curries or biryanis to get a final verdict about if this is just a chai pakora place or a cafe which does serve good Indian food . On that note the chai can be hit or a miss depending on its availability. The first time when we got chai it was average not too hot. However the second time it was the best karak masala chai u can have . Hopefully our next visit would change our opinion and maybe give me a chance to re-review and change the rating. 🙂
Taaza Mart has a huge selection of foods that aren't available in most American supermarkets, especially south Asian foods. Lots of spices and ingredients, lots of frozen foods and fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as condiments and other things.
Today we went and had lunch at the cafeteria within the store. There was a big selection of vegetarian dishes, and since the food is all laid out behind the glass, those of us who aren't familiar with the names of Indian dishes can see what we are ordering instead of guessing from the menu. The food was really good.
They also have deserts, but we were too full.
Good place... For Indian grocery and sometimes the food... I am not a fan of their food but some days the sambar idli is good and someday it's not... The prices may seem overly priced but again if you are earning in dollars then why not...
Huge Indian grocery store with a cute cafe inside. We ordered the onion mirichi bajji, onion pakora, vegetable samosa, gongura chicken curry (bone-in), butter chicken (boneless), and a pastry (baadushah). Everything was delicious and on weekends they do fresh food off the grill.
Edited to add that the chicken lollipops are amazing.
All your Indian grocery requirements under one roof... The food section is too good. The ready made chapatis are a bliss.. And the staff very helpful and nice.
I can get all kind of vegetables nice and fresh in this mart.
I have been giving party catering orders since more than 2 years. Whatever food I have ordered it has been delivered fresh, tasty and with wonderful flavor. Staffs are very friendly. Especially I definitely need to talk about one person that is Chef Amudhan @ Ammu, he has such a gifted cooking skill that gives wonderful taste to the food he prepares. Whenever I order food, Ammu gives me suggestions on the menu and prepares food delicious. The taste of the food definitely gives us the memories that we used to eat in India in our favorite restaurant. He is a gift to Taaza Mart cafe. :)
Good product collection!
Almost all required Indian products and fresh vegetables are available.
I like their food chain too. Had Samosa chat and it was good.
Taaza Mart is always our go to place. It's a one stop store where you can get everything like Groceries, Meat and Cafe. We feel this is the only restaurant in Tampa where you can get Tamilnadu style food. All the menu items taste really good. We recently placed a Catering order and the chefs Amuthan and Raju did a very good job. Everyone in the party liked the food and not even a single complaint was made. Full of money worth where both food quantity and quality are in perfect sync. I always recommend this place to my friends.
This Review is for Catering
The Bengali Association did Saraswati Pooja on 1/28/23
We contacted Amu (Head Chef) at Taaza Mart Cafe.
Amu managed the catering end - to - end. He is amazing at his job and did a fantastic catering for 350+ people.
There was a fair balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and the cuisine was genuine and tasty. The range of choices and the caliber of the meal really pleased the visitors. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I heartily endorse the restaurant for any upcoming occasions.
Big store and has great collections, fresh vegetables. Also you get food here.
I loved the bonds/bajjis.
We will get best cakes here.
We ordered 3 full trays of thalappakattu briyani and many other and it was awesome…. It really tasted like that we had in our native. Everyone appreciated and asked where did you order this briyani? Thanks all to Tazza mart chief cook Amuthan( aka Ammu) for his effort In making this briyani delicious.
Taaza mart is a very good place for quality groceries and their Cafe has wide varieties of fresh food but my complaint is that why do you don’t check for the salt in your food.
We ordered Babai Idli, Mutton biryani, Samosa chat yesterday and non them has salt in it, the basic ingredient and everything tasted bland. This happened 2 times for us and ended up adding salt and heating up the biryani, sambar and chat all again.
Next time please do check for seasoning and the quality you provide before you present.
I would not prefer the Indian food. I don’t why lot of people are praising their Indian food. But, personally I don’t like the taste. I was expecting some authenticity which wasn’t there.
One stop shop in new Tampa for all Indian grocery shopping and Halal Chicken. Do try the Restra inside the Mart especially Chicken Briyani and Noodles.
Avoid Restroom - it’s usually in bad condition
This store is well organized and clean . The vegetables and meat are fresh . They have all Indian groceries and the store is pretty big too.
This is an awesome store for buying Indian groceries, they have verities of fresh veggies and meats. It is so big and staffs are very nice. There is one cafe as well, where u can sit down and enjoy snacks and main courses, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
They have bakery too, with cakes pastries and many baking stuff.
Most amazing thing is they sell freshly made rotis they make it right infront of u n u can buy them.
I’ve not seen any Indian grocery store with such facilities, if I get chance I’ll visit again.
I really love the service provided by meat supervisor. I am from canada and it is really welcoming to get such experience. Thank you for that.
Love this place. The hot food inside is absolutely delicious and they have an amazing selection of stuff for the grocery portion. Huge selection of herbs, spices and all manner of products. I always love coming here.
Great place Grocery, vegetables, meat and cafe at one stop. You can get almost every item here feels like I'm in India. I recommend taaza mart for each and every one. There are also weekend specials every week I loved the goat curry very much. The staff are very friendly. "One stop for everything" Must visit place.
Good to find all Indian products in one place. Felt it's costly on some products.
For chapathi , batter and other snack items could be even more cheaper.
Also Curry price over the counter in canteen is also costly for both veg and non veg compared to the quantity being provided.
Not as good these days.
Grocery and meat: The vegetables are usually fresh and good variety of Groceries and meat market.
Cafe:
Fresh roti, idli batter, dosa batter, chutney, sweets are available but i can literally feel the quality and quantity of the idli/dosa batter go down over the past months. Tiffins and Indo-Chinese food is great but they make the worst biryani.
I got some sweets today which were dry. I trashed them. They’re probably sitting in the shelves for a while.
I’m a regular customer and i often had to trash idli batter/ dosa batter/sweets and cakes as they’d be stale/not fresh/spoilt. This is happening quiet frequent these days.
Returns are very badly handled almost like they don’t want to take it back.
Huge Indian Grocery store. Very clean & tidy. They’ve freshly made Chapathi’s. Great Halal Store. Lot of good food options at the cafe.
One stop place for all needs.. Feels like we are shopping in India. Cafe is great hang on place for various mouth watering dishes. Only thing we need be extra cautious on their spice level in various dishes..
I really love Tazamart Meat, especially Mustafa he is very good guy and he servers good meat to everyone and he was very honest.
First time buying from the restaurant section and although I liked the flavors, the serving size were small given the prices.
i love the food uts was very tasty . service was quick and cheran u taken my order he was humble and very attentive towards customer like the place . hope i wl visit again
Great place for Desi Grocery!
Beware, their "Halal Chicken" is not hand slaughtered, confirmed by staff.
Great store for indian groceries. Their restaurant is nice with South Indian options. Chapathi is amazing
I get my Halal meat here. Especially the chicken breast. We never buy it anywhere else since we bought it the first time. Extremely tender and juicy! Excellent customer service. Quality meat every single time! Huge store and can have long lines. Also they have a little kitchen where they make authentic food. Wide variety of food/fruits/vegetables and etc.
Indian grocery store with decent stocks. The restaurant inside the store is good and provides lovely food. Some of the items for improvement are:
1. Except masalas most of the brands are unknown and request to provide Indian popular stock products.
2. Noticed some of the stocks were expired or about to expire in a couple of months, would request to take action on it.
We shop their all the time, and make it a habit to buy food from the Cafe for dinner. It has increasingly become obvious that we have to constantly ask for decent amount of meat to be put in the to-go containers. If you are not paying attention, you are lucky to get 4 pieces of meat. Goat takeaways are mostly filled with bones with no meat, it is a shame since their curries are pretty good.
Chicken biryani has authentic Hyderbadi dum flavor and the yummy andhra goat curry .
To top it off sweet pan so juicy and good
Good place with lot of stock for almost every Indian grocery . Far odd form my home but was good
One stop shop for all your Indian grocery needs with an added advantage of the food court. Our family loves their food especially the Chilli chicken. Portions are big enough to be shared. Veggies are fresh and they have a large variety of frozen items and rice varieties. Definitely worth the trip
I only visited the bakery and the restaurant in this market and I think they are both great! Fresh bread, great mango lasi, fantastic food and dessert. We will be back!
Good place to visit and eat. Hand made chapatis were good and readily available in the store.
First time to the store. Impressed by the choices I like the options to eat in the restaurant as well. Bought some fresh chapatis. Yet to try it out. Great to have a nice big Indian store to close proximity to my house
If your looking for spices and alot of good produce go here and they even have a very good Arabic cafeteria . I was shocked at this huge gem . I am from arab decent and I was very impressed with there food supply and try desserts
Good store to buy veggies and Indian grocery.
Today I purchased chicken biryani, which is remarkably tooo much hot n spicy....biryani becomes red chilli grinder....so my kids didn't eat that biryani, again I went and collect curd raita to compensate that spicy...when I return to home, all f us have stomach upset and mouth ulcer....
If you are from India and the Indian subcontinent - this is a must go shop for you. You will not only get regular grocery items but also a very wide menu Indian restaurants. I tried most of the items (veg) and none of them disappointed me. Just one piece of advice - if you don't love very spicy food - don't forget to mention while placing your order.
Fresh vegetables and lots of items to choose from. Good customer service too.
Excellent place for Indian food and groceries. Lot of choices. Absolutely loved it.
No doubt you get everything at one place 👍.The best thing about this place is cafe(complete your groceries along with your snacks/lunch/dinner), so you can do two things at same time 😃. Staff is always helpful and worth shopping for house. 👍 …
This store is next to Dollar Tree and BJ's wholesale shop. Not much variations in products and brands. Veggies collection also less. Staffs are courteous and well maintained place.
Taaza chicken and butcher mushtaaq are great in service , very friendly and asks for the need and delivers his best .
Best for Indian and Pakistani groceries shopping
The prices are normal but it's almost more expensive than other Indian stores
Good quality food and one stop shop for Indian grocery in new Tampa
Great spot for some quick Indian food. Loved the combo with the warm roti, the selection of vegetarian options was also great! Good value for your money and highly recommend the Mango Lassi for a drink. If you aren't familiar with Indian food, this is a good place to see what they have and shop a little at the grocery store, too!
I like the variety of Indian food and good here, but I don't like the atmosphere. Many people here, customer service people included, are sometimes very condescending towards others. The lines are also usually very long and slow.
One of best indian stores.
You will get almost every item.
Indian Vegetables are fresh too.
They also provide chapatis and theplas
they have fresh bakery section too.
There is a small cafe inside the store to keep your tummy happy with Indian delicacies.
Location is good. Dollar true and BJ are in the same campus
Spacious grocery store with on-site butcher. They have everything you could need, including fresh produce. I haven't found their prices to be much more than others I've been to. They also have a Cafe and as someone who loves Indian food, they have the BEST I've ever had! Be prepared for spicy, which we like. Such incredible flavor in everything! I highly recommend this place. If you're vegetarian, there are a lot of great options too!
Good place to buy indian veggie and spices but Little costly
Good for indian groceries or spices. Some bad experiences with karachi osmania biscuits. There is a minimal difference shape wise between osmania and their tea biscuits. Someone swapped these into different boxes. Taste wise osmania is the best biscuit but they get sold quickly so swapping between these biscuits would work for a seller but not a buyer. So be careful whenever buying boxed items and products with expiry.
Indian provisions and snacks available, vegetables fresh to be added
Great stop for Indian grocery in Tampa ! The goat meat is really good here. They even have a decent size cafe for food.
Initially when they had started I really liked the place. It's still good but they have increased the prices too rapidly and way more than other Indian stores. Eventually, they might lose many customers if they keep doing this.
Very pleasant experience, they just recently opened so don’t expect all the products you would expect in such stores. Spoke with a lady and you g man who offered me their loyalty program! Very nice indeed! However the arabic products lineup is pretty small but I was told they will be adding more products as they go. However for starters, they seem like they got it rolling in the right direction.. i will try their in store cafe, the spices aroma coming out of there was enticing
Premium Indian grocery store in Tampa Bay area, slightly more expensive than Patel Brothers. Everything is available along with their delicious restaurant inside. Samosa’s are a must try!
The place is moderate in size, the aisles are not very wide but can accommodate two cart widths. The choices are not very extensive but quite good. Good level of cleanliness. Staff is not very helpful but ok. There are discounted items as well. Nice variety of different types of rice. The loyalty programme does not cost you anything so worth the try. No special discounts for students or others as far as my knowledge. The on-site bakery should be appreciated along with the restaurant with indian dishes. Overall quite happy.
Recently relocated to this area, I found this store while visiting the Petsmart next door. I was pleasantly surprised at the over all larger size of the store. The store had a good selection of groceries. Well stocked. I found everything I was shopping for.
I was also excited to see they made fresh hot Roti .
The store had plenty of friendly staff to help me find what I needed. The store was kept very clean. Cleanliness is is a must for me.
Hey there. How are you guys? I assume everyone is well? I spent quite some time visiting Taaza Mart. What do I like about it? Pretty simple Taaza Mart is still clean, spacious, and everything in the grocery department is well organized. The vegetables and fruits are always green (fresh), and most notably, the meat quality is high-grade, it's Halal. As for the frozen food items, Taaza Mart has most of the Indian products from breakfast to dinner food products, bread(chapatis), Sweets, Ice-creams, frozen Vegetables, and they also have Halal frozen products. Their sell all merchandise at a low price. They sell Indian foods in the cafe, sweets, lassi all items are delicious at economical prices. As for Customer services, there are good, and I hope you all find my review helpful.
Regular customer here. Most of the grocery items are great. All the vegetables are available for reasonable price. My rating has gotten down for the restaurant as the quality of the items I took were very bad and ended up discarding. Almost three times, repeatedly this happened. It's hard for me to loose more than what I wasted here!!
I think this grocery store provides good selection of items all around. But this review is specifically about the meat section as I am most impressed with the meat section. The butcher, Mustafa, is so professional, pays great attention to the customer's requests and provides exceptional service every time. The meat is always fresh and I highly recommend their meat section to everyone.
Lovely place to get fresh Indian groceries. The Cafe is especially good. I haven't tasted every dish, but whatever I have tasted has been very good! Kudos to the chef!!
Nice and courteous staff too! Callout to Abru for always welcoming us with a lovely smile and good recommendations in the Cafe!
What an awesome Mart went there today because I wanted to try new spices in my vegan/vegatrain cooking. I ran into a heaven on earth, the lady at the cash register was very helpful in telling me the different flavors of the whole aisle 3 of spices. A bakery, hot deli fresh naan bread, it goes on n on and awesome prices.
I was there on 2nd day open. Owners and management doing a great job of meeting and greeting. Very inviting people! My wife and I ate in their cafe. We both had the "Non-Veg Combo - Chicken" plate for $7.99. There were 2 options for the meat-Butter Chicken or a Curry Chicken, and it came with freshly made bread, rice and a very delicious side but I'm sorry I don't recall its name. The food was no less than awesome, and we received lots of helpful attention. Even brought a complimentary almond milk drink to us at our table while we were eating. We are anxious to go back, a business that you want to support, great quality and even better customer service!
Review after one year:
This is for café only- EMPLOYEES NEED TO BE TAUGHT BASICS LIKE NOT EATING AT FOOD COUNTER, DEFINITELY NOT TAKE A USED PLATE. I BLAME THE MANAGEMENT FOR NOT TRAINING THEM.
I LIKE THE FOOD BUT ITS DISGUSTING TO SEE EMPLOYEES USING DIRTY HANDS TO TOUCH FOOD. STORE IS CLEAN BUT I DONT KNOW I CAN SAY THE SAME ABOUT KITCHEN
——————————————————————-
First time shopper, will blame the management for hiding this from me so long, I mean if not for my friend I would not know it existed.
I always look for an indian store with some food and I have been making 2-3 stops on my shopping day - groceries, meat and food. This superstore will be my one stop in the future, unless they mess up big time.
The store is the cleanest I have seen for an indian store, especially during the COVID times it does make a lot of difference.
I ordered Indo-Chinese and Masala Dosa, Mango Lassi and really liked the food and more than that the service, even though it was busy they managed it fine. Prices were standard, nothing exorbitant.
People always end up complaining immediately when something not upto mark but they forget to appreciate if something is good.
Full marks to Abrao the friendly Goan on the register the dosa chef and other girl as well.
There is a difference when you shop at Walmart and Publix so I would say my experience was like shopping at Publix without the extra cost, I hope you know what I mean 😉
Cons: Over taxed(20%) or over rated on some grocery items compared to other stores.
Pros: Spacious and good for social distancing. One stop for all your grocery needs. Once curbside pickup starts this would be great place for this pandemic period.
06/05/2022 - I bought "Mutton Briyani" which was literally like turmeric rice . After having that I got food poison. Quality of food is not consistent all the time.
A very good Indian groceries competitor to Patel Brothers in Tampa. Great grocery deals during Dasara and Diwali. Quality products; The food in cafeteria is good. After a good grocery shopping when you definitely need a snack break, must go. Chai, Samosa, Mysore bonda will definitely refresh anyone. Felt prices are little high, though.
It's spacious and clean. Cashiers and Associates are wearing masks. The location is also good. I wish they get more varieties/packs/weights of rice, fish and meat. Reason I'm giving a 4 star rather than 5 is in the current situation of the pandemic we got another store with even bigger space, bit lower prices and more varieties of rice, fish, meat and frozen food.
Clean store, doesn't have the best quality of produce but most likely if your looking for something you will find it. Mostly caters to indian/Pakistani cooking but middle eastern food is also there. There's. Restaurant inside and although I didn't try it there was a line do that told me it must be good.
Groceries collection is good, but vegetables are very less
genuinely some of the best food i’ve ever eaten.
My wife and I love Indian food, we were pleasantly surprised to discover this jewel hiding in Tampa palms area. Far exceeded our familiarity and knowledge of Indian cuisine but we look forward to learning more.
This place is remarkable. So friendly! Like family! I will forever be a loyal customer of Taaza Mart!!! Service in the cafe was amazing! Cant say enough good things! Must try! Grocery is easy to navigate and affordable!
The name was eluding, I thought it's a Middle Eastern store, it was an Indian store, huge, plenty of products and ample choices. I'm not Indian , so I could not understand recognize some produce and freezer food. Although there is even a vegan section in the far left side of the freezer 😁
The cafe was busy , seems like a good food display, I got some appetizers to go, tasted pretty good. The girl at the cafe register was VERY nice to me and educated me about the available vegan food on the display and really hooked me up with different varieties for me to try. She was patient and kind as I felt embarrassed for my ignorance. It was South Indian food.
The produce section was immense, although wilted, but I even found favas beans, green garbanzo beans, prickly cactus pears , quince fruit and some other stuff that only Indian customers would recognize 😊
I interacted with one Indian shopper there and was kind to tell me about the stuff I was looking at. Beware of wet water spots under coolers and some vegetables were rotten .
Customers were mostly Indians, but I saw some Americans and Arabs.
I still liked the store and of course I bought some quince fruit, it's rare to find in stores.
Its quite big place, than any other Indian grocery store in Tampa. Neatly organized. They do even have small cafe inside. With more staff, waiting line for billing can be reduced.
I had visited 7 months ago reviewed as above.
After 7 months, things have changed a lot, there is increase in staff, all veggies were fresh, highlight is we get fresh Flowers, fresh chapathis. Canteen is very good, after long time enjoyed restaurant Idli sambhar. Canteen prices are reasonable.
I like the store, spacious, neat and clean. Prices are great too. Met with the owner and he was happy to meet his customers, he recognized me from saffron indian cuisine and that surprised me. He showed concern that the stock levels are low as the distributors and low on stock. Anyways had a good experience, will come back again. Thanks tazza.
Taaza Mart has a great meat department with professional butchers (Mustaf and Nadir).
Their halal chicken and meat is fresh for the best price. They are clean and neat.
My husband and I enjoy coming here for our meats.
Haven't seen an Indian grocery mart this big and this clean. One stop shop for all your Indian needs
The layout is great. Prices are reasonable. The butchers in the back are rude and didn't have the meat shelves stocked. Only one or two things on the shelf which was discouraging. Overall not bad though.
Indian specialty grocery store. Seems like a very big space for the amount of products they stock, but they could add more inventory in the future.
I'm going back later in the week to pick up goat meat. Overall appearance of the store was neat and clean, produce looked fresh, and they carry 3 or more different brands for every type of grocery item.
It would be nice if they carried more Chinese pantry staples. Like Samyangs hot chicken ramen noodles.
Updated: Nov-2021: This place has amazing hot Indian Pholka Roti which are nice fluffy and fresh, in 3 variations- Regular Plain, Mixed Grain and Methi (Fenugreek). Should definitely try. Go on a Sunday evening and you will have to wait for 20-30mins to get your hands a pack of 10 rotis.
Feb:2021
Great new spacious grocery alternative for Indian staples with hot food and hot Indian bread (roti) made on premises with various takeaway option.
The place offers young goat, country chicken, quail. The restaurant is great 👍.
But the grocery section is still missing many essentials when compared with Patel or House of spices. …
Goof for Indian products and food in Cafe is tasty.
I like this place and you can get fresh , quality products.
My favorite is the Cafe and their Menu and Special Menus , which keep on changing every weekend.
Staff at Cafe are very warm and responsive. One of the employee at the cafe - ABRAO is very helpful and great at customer service.
Look forward to more Shopping and delicious food at the Cafe.
Really cool Indian food Mart in the same shopping center as BJs in Tampa palms. Tons of awesome options, smells amazing as you walk around. There is also a cafe inside which serves food! Highly recommend
Great for Indian groceries. But most of the food at the catering section feels too salty.
Great place to Shop......Spacious , well ventilated with good choice of various Veg and Non - Veg Dishes in the Cafe.
Some very courteous employees and would like to especially mention ABRAO , who is part of the Cafe - Always a Smile on his face , very helpful and always strikes a good conversation. We do require more people like him in every store :)
Keep on doing the good job !!
Good place to shop if you're from India or from the middle East area. I have to also say a very reasonably priced cafe with good chapati and other sweets and stuff. Highly recommended. Good gem in Tampa. Go visit. You will like. Berri Noice.
I went in looking for beef broth, I didn't realize it was that exotic. To be fair, it's a grocery store that specializes in, I think, Indian food.
If I ever want to try some very exotic (to a Floridian) I'll go back. But, you need to know what you're looking for as no one (when I was there) spoke English
Clean, hygienic, and spacious. Vegetables were fresh. Lots of options available for every item. Social distancing can be maintained more easily. Store staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended.
Customer service is excellent. The coffee is very delicious I go there every morning. I’ve never loved Indian food until I’ve camp until I’ve come to the store. I recommend everybody to check it out.
The food and service excellent. I ordered idly’s to go.. after eating a plate I only wish I can uber food 140 miles. Only regret not ordering more! The staff is very courteous and friendly.
Congratulations on new store! I really hope you succeed and continue to serve amazing food to the community! Cheers 🥂
Great spacious Indian store in Tampa. Went there last week. It had wide variety of fresh vegetables, great options in remaining groceries and a cafeteria with Indian snacks and Thali.
I tried vegetable pakora which was good.
Give it try if you are in region.
Service at the meat section at taza mart is very good, very kind, always smiling and the manager is a very good guy.The meat quality is always fresh and clean.I would highly recommend everyone who likes good fresh meat with good customer service
I you want a fresh goat in north Tampa this is the place to go.
Store is quite good and spacious, Visited few times since open. From my experience, Some ready made food items are not fresh, management should do some quality testing of product before it goes on self.
Nicely organized. Excellent customer service. The two differentiators are their chapaties and restaurant. Just awesome!!
Lots of selections. Super busy on Sunday. Love the cafe inside 🙂 …
Very nice indian local store. Their freshly made roti are my favorite. It's so good. They have a cafe inside the store . I will go back to try the cafe food next.
Well stacked & maintained. The food court is really cost efficient and delicious. The veg/ non veg combo boxes are reasonable.
Excellent range of South Asian groceries
Good place for Indian grocery ,kitchen
Very spacious compared to other Indian Indian Grocery stores in and around Tampa...Fresh Veggies and Meat. Staffs are Friendly and co-operative, not at all rude compared to Patel staffs.
Slightly smaller than Apna Bazaar on Fowler. The prices are on par and their fresh bakery is delicious and cheap. Meat is a little pricey compared to the Meat Depot on Fowler but produce, frozen foods, and dry goods are all priced dirt cheap. I have a membership to the BJ'S next door so I can get all my shopping done in one place. The store is super clean, they are constantly putting out fresh produce and everyone speaks great english. Highly recommended.
The store is clean and has most Indian groceries. Store owner resolved my issue without any isues and promptly. Great service! Thank you Nagendra.
I ordered the chicken curry combo. I received excellent service from Cheta who served me the food. Great tasting real India food. I am looking forward to eating again.
This cafe and grocery store is really amazing . Well stock and organized . I was there today for some take out. Amazing food and very friendly service. I will comeback . Highly recommended 👍 …
Good place for indian groceries. It's a big shop and not congested. It also has restaurant attached.
Fresh vegetables and Indian food court.
Good indian grocery store
Highly recommended. It was a good experience to go there. Mart is clean with items variety and fresh vegetables. Cafe food is also good. Very generous and cooperative staff.
Good place.
I feel cost is little higher but still better. Have most of Indian food/vegetables and required ingredients.
Nice clean place. We were enroute to sanibel from Atlanta and were looking for fresh chapathi to take along. Patel at Tampa did not have a live counter so we came down here.
The food is great , how ever had disappointing visits lately with respect to availability.
Dosa and other South Indian varieties are not available most of the times, I hope they at least mention that some where rather going there and then finding out it’s not available .
Located st convention location by exit on Bruce B Diwns blvd.
Much better than some of the Indian grocery stores like Kiran (horrible) and some others. This store is clean and it is a pleasant to shop here.
Medium size Indian supermarket. They also have prepared food but I came too early and the food was not ready. I'll be coming back to shop. Namaste
Food and service was just great. Place is maintaining so clean and hygienic in this covid situation. This is became one of my favorite store's in the city.
Best indian store in town , you can find everything you need be it spices, grains or vegetables , you can shop as well as relish mouth smacking indian snack or meal , this store is new but has everything covered
Big Desi store in newtampa and prices are reasonable.meat shop inside is okay but butchers are not professional and they don't even know the name of meat part.lamb shank name ribs and chops name shank.
Good selection, very ethnic and smells spicy. Wear a mask as people do not cover when they cough but the employees all are wearing masks.
Little pricey but you will get whatever you want.
Great bakery and hot foods !
Very good selection of Indian grocery, vegetables and meat. Something that makes it stand out is a good small restaurant and take out along with fresh chapatis and other bakery items.
Taaza Mart is spacious and clean ,I only visit to this mart for fish and meat (goat, lamb),you can get fresh and clean meat here, and the customer service in meat section is so good .they are friendly and generous and IAM giving this 4 stars only for their customer service .
The food of the cafe is excellent, but please update your menu online daily or what’s available that day, cause the item you had for the day I visited was not the same as it showed online.
Staff was welcoming and helpful, the store was well stocked. Good for fresh Indian veggies and river fish. Halaal Goat, chicken and lamb
Neat place well maintained Indian Groceries.
The restaurant is the best in town
Very good place to buy Indian groceries and vegetables, very big, clean and nicely done. They have a restaurant inside, like a fast food kind.

Meat section needs some improvement. They don’t care to ask what you want, I tried to place an order twice but failed to get their attention.
Great South Indian collection.
You have a food court inside, that is the best part... you get curries also, like a curry point.. Rest is similar to Patel brothers and it is spacious enough..!
Will get all Indian groceries and vegetables...
Super store for all at one place and fresh .
Surprised with great cafeteria as it taste best with more varieties
And Live automatic roti maker
Meat is really good thanks to Mustafa and Abraham vegetables are not that fresh compared to other stores.
Overall good
Very busy, but has more moving room then Patel Brothers in the aisles and at checkout.
Better shopping experience just because of more room.
Cafe is great. I love the food here.
I won't recommend chaats. It is cold an not that great.
The vegetables look very fresh and I love the different varieties of food. I'll have to return soon to try the cooked food.
A good place to get Indian groceries. Also have a cafeteria but haven't tried that yet.
Good collection has a decent Halal meat section...frozen food selection is plenty...restaurant is decent...
Great Indian market with very diverse fresh veggies.
Not sanitizing used carts. Sanitizer bottle at entrance were empty. Quality products. Good variety of products.
Bit Pricy .. not sure why they keep so much prices which really don’t worth it .. I gave 3 only because it’s near by and take other items even if we don’t find what we need 😏 …
You will get all Indian groceries here ! Biriyani was good as well in the cafe!
Vegetables are so fresh. Love to shop in taza mart.
Spicy food with better food quality.
Okay... Visited couple of times. Non-veg is Good.
Big store with very spacious and neat environment.

Excellent Mart
New Tampa's favourite and one stop shop for Indian grocery, meat and food . Staffs are very friendly. Especially I definitely need to talk about Chef Amudhan and Chef Raju. Ammu gives me great suggestions on the menu and prepares food delicious. The taste of the food definitely gives us the memories that we used to eat in India in our favorite restaurant. They are the gift to Taaza Mart cafe. :).
A review about the cafe inside Taaza Mart. Have always enjoyed the food there. The Menu is extensive, and the daily and weekly specials add to the variety.
We had placed a catering order recently, and it was delivered to the specifications. The food was fresh and ontime for a large order. Kudos to the Cook and team who had called and confirmed the choice.
Good Indian Grocery store. They have a fine dining space with varied Indian dishes.
Groceries are good but the food taste could be improved
BEST RAWA MASALA BY FAR:
I ordered Rawa Masala dosa today. This was first time I was able to order the Rawa Dosa. It was the best Rawa Masala I had. It was paper thin, It was not dry at all, moist enough but not soggy at all, In fact It was crispy exactly the way I like it. The batter was fresh. I can smell and taste the aroma of ghee on it. I can smell the freshness of masala on it. It was phenomenal. Kudos to Chef Srikanth and Anthony. The Rava Dosa mix was perfect the way I make it at home. I also ordered idli sambar as well.. It was also soft and melt in mouth.
Loved it
