I love the nostalgia of this store. It still has the original look. Although the store is smaller than the Publix stores of today, it still manages to offer a good selection. They also manage to keep the store clean, what a challenge that must be for the age of the building; but its very clean. The hot deli counter is well staffed and serves all the regular Publix delicious foods I enjoy and is expected of Publix.

I really want to give this store 5 stars because the people that work there are awesome. Problem is there's more shoppers nowadays than parking spaces and the quality of customer has degraded as well. I really like this store I just hate what it is becoming. This is a roast beef wrap I recently picked up using the app to pay. It was awesome and ready when I got there but man, 4 trips around the parking lot before a space opened up and there's no room to expand. Always fresh food, always smiling and helpful employees..

I have been at other Publix locations and the set up in the other locations were neat, however, this locations seems to be crowded. The deli drinks were all empty or not working and if there's a line at the deli, space is further limited. I gave 3 stars because of the quality products in the store and the food from the deli is actually very good.

Angel in the deli was simply phenomenal! Not only was he friendly and proficient he went above and beyond to get us answers. Not to mention he made our special order sandwiches picture perfect! I will go out of my way for his service!

This is probably the smallest Publix location I’ve been to, and it can get pretty crowded, but they do an amazing job with what they have. Very nice employees and I usually can find whatever I’m looking for. Note that the chicken and hot food area is almost always busy and they frequently run out of items, but this shouldn’t shock anyone when you consider the size of their kitchen and prep areas. Just try to go during non-peak hours and be patient. Ordering subs/wraps online is a great way to avoid the line.

Always clean and mostly well-stocked. The staff here are friendly and warm. It's a smaller Publix, so don't expect it to have absolutely everything you're looking for, but it has plenty for convenience.

It’s a rather small store for a Publix, but it’s not bad. Usually quite busy in there. I generally prefer the Publix on Hillsborough as it’s a bigger store. But this retro looking store in Seminole Heights is pretty good. No pharmacy.

I went to this Publix on 10/19/22 at 6pm to get some chicken from the deli. They were extremely and were serving ppl the best & fastest they could. They ran out if chicken and a woman behind me started yelling at the hard workers. She even went as far to say she was going to complain on the woman that was serving food named Ms.Erika calling her racist & all. WELL she's a lie Erika was very nice to everyone in that line no matter their race.

It's Publix so it's still got the Publix quality of everything and its employees but this is the busiest Publix I have ever seen! BUT it's my neighborhood one so I go but they never ever have my jalapeno dip ever and the last two times there was 0 parking so we had to park on the street in the neighborhood near it. So please make more jalapeno popper dip and I don't mind walking a block to your store. :)

Only complaint is the parking. Omg very tight parking and very busy area. Make sure you are not in a rush when coming to this location because finding a place to park is torture and avoiding an accident is inevitable.

Never understood why they get so mad when you ask for fresh chicken or to change those filthy gloves. If there's only 8 pc "MADE" boxes and I want only 4 pcs. Why are you mad Oily (her name)⁉️ Why do I have to wait 45 minutes⁉️ Break down an eight, give me four and refresh the individual/dinner slot where there's only two dry thighs. Guess that's too much work huh⁉️ OLIY‼ You only wanted to stand there doing nothing, while singing the 45 minutes til fresh chicken song. Oliy‼ In the hot food department is a piece of work. She treated me very nasty and cruel. I still respected her; chopping it up as a bad day. Until the white man behind me was next. "Good evening sir how may I help you🙂?" I pretended to be looking at the creame sodas directly behind me; but listening 👂as he coldly and rudely barked his orders . Even looked back and asked me was I finished with her. I said yes for now. Quaint sized store with all of the typical items you'd find in a grocery store. Clean store, friendly staff, the only odd thing, probably due to not being a typical Publix layout, was that the frozen items were separated at opposite ends of the store.

So since Wednesday prior to Father's Day I've been out in the field trying to come up with the perfect gift. my dad loves food. so I asked Bobby, one the Bakers at the Nebraska Ave location. He was very informative and told me the morning of they should have some nice fathers day goods available. So not only did I go to several other locations like Walmart & Target (they only had cards boo, they didn't even have like banners or confetti.. BALLONS...SOMETHING!!!) family dollar didn't have ANY fathers day stuff. THANK YOU BOBBY! YOU SAVED MY HOPES OF SHOWING MY DAD APPRECIATION ON HIS DAY. I would've taken pictures but the way I struggled this morning after getting him a cookie cake that says "<3 You Dad." with a red and blue heart perfectly drawn and oriented by Bobby. (Originally it had the american flag but i asked him to take it off to make it more personal for me. and he added the blue heart for me out of his own wit) and a brownie cake that days "#1 Dad." that one was fine the way it was. We haven't eaten them yet. He made us tacos. Maybe ill have an update!

First of all, I love Publix. Second of all, while I have always had a soft spot for Publix Bakery concoctions, I'm writing this review solely because of how impressed my family and I were with the Strawberry Dulce De Leche cake. I picked it up for Father's Day, and it didn't disappoint. My Dad, brother, and I were pleasantly surprised, and my husband deemed it the best Publix cake he's had. As always, nice work, Publix.

Always BETTER than Wal-Mart. Lines seemed to be building... customers in line were looking a little frustrated and then BAM here comes Crystal to save the day. Because I shop here so often I just stood back, before she came, and waited. And within less than a minute the wait was over. Like clock work. Publix takes care of their customers, and they're genuine about it. They are human like everyone else, so they will have a bad day. But over all it's always worth traveling a little further when you know your shopping experience will be quicker and you'll be treated with dignity. Thanks Publix, where shopping is definitely a pleasure. And recently they installed these new self check out lanes... Oh Yeah!

This time I was out driving and had a taste for meatball sub. I stopped and of course no meatballs and it's not even close to closing time. For the pass yr I haven't been in this store because it's kinda out of the way for me but I had to stop there to get some pills for my migraine coming from work and trust me I was very impressed with the new look of the store. It's way brighter than I've seen before, the shelves are nicely packed, the staff was looking fresh, the only downside for me was the fact that the self check out wasn't up and running and only one cashier working but another cashier quickly jumped in when she couldn't get the self check out running and open another line getting customers moving.

Very good quality and selection, especially of organic and non GMO options. The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful. The prices are great when you find a sale, either discounts or BOGO. However, the regular prices can be high, and some of the bakery items, which all used to be delicious, sometimes seem to be less flavorful. I still love Publix and will continue to shop here!

Some people are intimidated as this location is often Very busy. With it being so high volume, at times things seem a bit out of order, yet it gets corrected quickly. The staff here, time and time again, show the best of Publix corporate culture, being amongst the most friendly and conversational of any retail store I visit. Kudos to the team here.

Love the store and the employees. The parking lot is always overcrowded and the people in the car lot can be very rude and honking for no reason. Some people wear masks - others do not bother. There is no such thing as social distancing there because the aisles are too narrow. Still our favorite place for a quick shop. Handicap parking and accessibility.

This neighborhood Publix is great. It's an icon here, really. Even though it lacks space, they try and accommodate everyone (They recently added self checkout kiosks by the front entrance, which makes for faster checkouts. They also reorganized the fruits and vegetables aisles along with a better pastry showcase). The staff has always been nice and helpful. If they don't carry an item you're looking for, you can always ask management if they can get it or maybe carry it in the future. They keep adding new items to the selection. Newer brands keep popping up on the shelves. The only bad point is the parking. The parking lot can fill up fast since there's limited space.

Nice little market with a good selection of gluten free products. Sadly, there is not enough parking at this location and instead of freeing up spots in the parking lot they have several spots filled with shipping containers and equipment. It's often easier just to go to a different store because there's nowhere to park.

This store is way to small for the amount of people trying to pack in there. First of all a store this tiny should have smaller shopping baskets. You can NOT get two shopping carts down an aisle to pass someone without bumps to the other one. Some people apologize, others glare at you. But to find your items are super easy and quick cause it's so close together. Definitely a few item stop shop. Don't go if you need to use a shopping cart to carry your items!

I love this store. It's an older, smaller store. Sometimes it is quite crowded and very busy. The associates here are nothing less than top notch. Today, the day before Thanksgiving, they were so very busy. I was waiting in line to check out. The elderly woman in front of me was searching her purse for a few more dollars She came up short. At this point the cashier Ty-Anna reached into her pocket and quietly said "Don't worry, I have $5.00". She paid the remaining balance for the woman. I was touched by her small act of kindness. I hope Publix recognizes this young lady and all their awesome crew.

Your typical Publix total five star experience always I think in my 54 years of life I've only encountered one Publix that was not above standards in cleanliness and product selection. Not to mention the employees are always very helpful and friendly. And you won't find cleaner bathrooms anywhere

This is one of the smaller Publix stores. I suspect it was the 1st in Tampa...or among the first. They upgraded and remodeled the store a few years back. The changes have served them well. I like popping in when I forget or run out one or two items. The staff is pleasant, as you would expect at a Publix. They don't carry the range of items found in the larger stores, but the quality remains high.

Every single time I order a sub from here, there is so much condiment spread onto it that by the time I get to eat it the bread is soggy & the sandwich is inedible. At least add the option of requesting no condiments on your preset sandwiches online. I'll add it myself if yall cant cool it with the mustard. The store is always crowded and parking a nightmare, but the staff is so kind and helpful- and it's always super clean inside. Wear a sweater, I always freeze.

Vivo muy lejos para regresarle la comida esto fue Domingo 08/29/21 Check your meat it was raw and the rice was uncooked. Don't do like me I left and when I got home to eat it was trash $70 after it was no good. I live over an hour from this restaurant. It had good taste but it was not cooked.

It was fine for a friday afternoon. Not too crowded. I got everything I was looking for. This Publix is the smallest and I believe oldest Publix in Tampa so it's not as spacious as others and can get pretty crowded sometimes. Over all though, it's fine. Helpful employees and pleasant cashiers.

This place is small and creepy. There's almost never a good parking spot, especially when you really need one. Once you get inside there's almost no room because it's so small and you can hardly move around or get anywhere. It's kind of sketchy and that's why there's always security guards out front. Had a bad experience while attempting to get deli meat...waited on line for over 20 minutes was skipped twice while in line confusing at its best no signs for sandwich customers versus deli customers. No number tickets in the number ticket machine and apparently for deli meats your supposed to just walk up and request your deli meat...I left furious I waited for 30 min skipped twice only because the sandwich orders were priority. All this just to order a half pond of ham and a half pound of roasted chicken deli meat. All that weight yet there was like 7 employees behind the counter. It sucked big time!!!

I only give it three stars because they have 28 parking spaces (in there already tiny parking lot) blocked by shopping carts. This is causing people to park where they are not suppose to add the potential for accidents. I spent 35 minutes looking for a spot to park. If you plan to shop here, make sure you plan out enough time to find parking.

I've been shopping to this Public since I was a little kid. It's one of the oldest in Tampa. It used to have a bright neon sign that was such a great treat to see. This Publix is smaller than most but it's in the heart of Seminole Heights and has the most diverse, friendly, and wonderful staff and shoppers. I love going in and talking to the older folks and see their faces light up when you hand them something from a high shelf or ask their advice on cooking something. They have the best butchers who know the secrets of cutting great cuts of meat. It's my favorite Publix by far.

I live nearby. This is "my" Publix, so I know it well. Unfortunately, there's not much they can do about the small size, which limits the amount of fresh food and options other stores have. Staff is typically good, but it always feels crowded and busy, and the parking lot gets crazy because it's small and there are no good, closer options.

The parking lot was semi-packed (you know what that means, its a popular spot). There is plenty of parking and easy to maneuver in. The store appears a little smaller than the larger plaza Publix Markets, but the presentation of well stocked shelves were top notch! I asked for assistance and the young man (didn't get his name) was happy to escort me and recommend I explore both sides of the aisle. Major shout out to Shikira the cashier. Friendly, polite and speedy.

Where shopping really is a pleasure. Each staff member greet shoppers with a genuine smile and truest effort to inquire if they can be of assistance. I have been shopping here since it was the original old Publix store. (It was closed for a time for remodel & reopened in 1995) I enjoy the service as much as the quality of the products. Which in my opinion are very high quality. I only shop at Publix. It's always clean, and many employees have worked until retirement right in this store. In this day and age, that says a lot.

I never have a problem when i go to publix except for when dealing with one lady in particular that works at customer service. She is not customer friendly. At least not to me. As a person who has previously worked in customer service, the objective is to provide exceptional service to the customers. A smile goes a long way. Speaking goes a long way. I love going to this Publix to pick up ingredients, fruit, and frozen meals to get me through the week. I like the fact that this Publix is smaller compared to other Publix locations so that I have fewer items to look at while I'm shopping. Parking is not limited, but it also isn't plentiful. If you can, I would avoid shopping here during peak hours because of the ratio of people to space in the grocery store. I normally shop here once they open at 7 am or before they close around 7 pm. The line for the deli section always has at least 4 people... which is good or bad depending on how you see it. I can also verify that the Associates here provide the exceptional Publix customer service you expect.

This is an average size grocery store. It has most of everything that your regular large stores have but on a smaller scale. They do have enough products of their sale items. Their meat department, butcher shop, and fish market are excellent. If they do not have some sort of fish or meat they will order it for you. Their bakery, deli, and prepared food departments are very well stocked. They sell foods that serve the population of the area. This practice is consistent among Publix Supermarkets. Their produce department is excellent and everything is nice and fresh. They have an good handicap- carts and there are always in working order and have never had to wait for one. As usual the associates are very friendly, and all are eager to help.

This place use to be my favorite store. I don't know what has happened but it definitely isn't the same quality. I placed an order online and was called 10 mins before pick up for a Publix associate to call me and tell me they are out of bread?? What the heck are you serious? Then 5 mins I received another phone call from the same Publix associate saying and I quote, " they got some bread from somewhere else do you still want it? It look like Cuban bread." I hold Publix to a higher standard than all other grocery stores. This particular Publix is a bit substandard compared to other Publix stores I've shopped at. I never thought I would find over ripened tomatoes with bruises and mold at a Publix store, but I did here. Today, I bought a deli sandwich from this Publix. The lettuce was wilted and brown looking. Towards the end of the sandwich, I discovered a strand of hair. I was very disappointed and needless to say, I will never order from the deli at this Publix again. To find hair in your food, means someone is not paying attention to detail. Don't get me wrong, the employees are nice, which is why I still gave them 3 out of 5 stars. Examine your deli food before leaving the store.

Area residents either seem to strongly love this neighborhood Publix or despise. My first visit to this location was today. The store is one of the smaller Publix stores, still in the original Publix art deco building. The parking lot is appropriate for the size but this Publix gets high volume traffic because it is the only supermarket in all of Seminole Heights. It is hard for staff to keep up with the volume. One area where that is clearly a problem and which regular customers complain bitterly about is the wait to get service at the deli sandwich line. I cut thru the line to get something at the meat counter and, 10 minutes later, i cut thru again to get out, and the people who let me thru 10 minutes earlier were in the same position in line, when in other stores they would have been at the counter after 10 minutes. So don't try to buy fresh subs right after you get off work at this location unless you're not hungry and have plenty of time. Other than that, it seemed like a normal Publix, smaller selection because it is a smaller size. Publix should think about expanding this location now that Seminole Heights is such a popular place to live.

only drawbacks about this Publix in Old Seminole Heights, is the parking lot could be a lot bigger and the store really is a neighborhood store. You get that old timey grocery store feeling but with modern and some very cool products. Sings that I wouldn't expect to find except for maybe at a Whole Foods or a specialty store but Publix has it. Good charcuterie, Deli Bakery produce and good beer and adult beverage section. Also lots of nice cold brew coffee Organics and gluten free products and other health food items that you'd find mainly at a Whole Foods or specialty store like I said before. But this is the case with most Publix stores. Like I said this one is just a bit smaller and a bit more neighborhood close for lack of a better description. This is my area of town so I enjoy shopping at my Publix. LOL

this Publix is good but like all Publixes you have to pick what you get from them I recommend getting only meat and fresh fruit from them unless you're going to go to a farmers market for your fruit. They do make their ready to cook meal specials if you ask if there not out of them on the shelfs. one of my favorites that I recommend is a steak with the spinach and cheese wrap together. Their bakery is pretty good but they can only do what they have put out they don't do anything extra and they cakes that are designed specially can be very expensive my recommendation is to either make a cake at home or get a cake that's from the freezer and just have them write happy birthday on it if you're trying to get something for somebody otherwise you could be looking from anywhere of $70 and up for two tier cakes to about $40 to $50 and up for regular sheet cakes depending on how big you want it the rest of their food can be very overpriced so I would pick the rest of your food up from other stores with the brand names they're going to be the same thing the same quality just cheaper overall. Additional this Publix however I would recommend them. Although would keep in mind there is no pharmacy in this public so you would have to go to another Publix like on Hillsborough or way way down on Dale mabry to find a Publix with a pharmacy in it. Also I recommend their deli sandwiches you can also get cold or warm sandwiches there, and for people that use EBT use EBT they can get cold sandwiches there including the boar's Head meat very good and as you can see a 6-inch for boar's Head was only $5.69 for my sandwich.

One of the smallest stores in the Publix chain, with narrower aisles and less selection. But what an exterior! Vintage look, far different than most. And inside it's organized, clean and friendly, just like other Publix stores.

This store is small. It's usually very crowded and hard to navigate. They are usually out of BOGO items and they always seems to be stocking the shelves at peak times. When I shop there 90 percent of the time I leave without somsthing on my list because the item is out of stock. Simple items like whole milk or corn on the cobb. Parking is a nightmare and takes a lot of circling around to find a spot anytime after 9 a.m. The deli at this store is so slow. Go to the Habana store if you want sliced meat or cheese unless you have all day to wait. With all that being said the store is clean and usually very orderly.

Born in Tampa(1953). This store has been there as long as I can remember. When I was a kid my mother shopped either this store or the Kwik Chek at Hills/22nd St. Actually whoever had the best deals. Publix used to sell what was called a spoon bone sirloin steak. That was a real treat in the old days. Tampa was a lot more fun in those days too.
