Dean in the seafood department is the best. He had just finished up cleaning so I didn’t want to bother asking him for help. But they didn’t have any cod frozen. He was absolutely wonderful. He went to the back , got what I needed, and was very happy to help. It’s so nice to have that experience when shopping in the evening.

Dean in seafood was so kind and accommodating! I tried to reach the store before the seafood items were put away, but I didn’t make it. Dean was so gracious and willing to help me. I felt so bad coming so late but Dean was so reassuring and said that it wasn’t a problem. He was so friendly and warm, it made for such a pleasant shopping experience!

Got what I was shopping for but I don't like the short dismissive attitude of one of the staff members. They have much kindness and attentiveness for other customers but when I seek attention they either don't comprehend my questions or don't have that same energy for me as they do for other customers. Omg store #611, best Publix ever. I was craving Salmon and had to drive to multiple locations. Finally got here and Dean, in the seafood department hooked me up and held me down. This Publix location wasn't bad and had very much of what you'd come to expect of shopping here (if you're a regular of Publix in general). I put 4 stars because, as usual, there were still many items that were completely out of stock. I can appreciate empty shelves were the norm at the beginning of the pandemic, but we've, for the most part, overcome that this year.....and I've been told through another two Publix locations (in Lakeland) that it's attributed to overcoming Hurricane Ian. Today, I'm shopping a solids 3 weeks and two days (October 21st) since it hit and it did not affect Tampa as it did further south in Ft. Meyers. So I find it interestingly odd that a storm that passed nearly a month ago would still affect an area that was not heavily inundated with outages and debris and inmaneuverable infrastructure, which leads me to believe several store location's managers cannot conduct proper inventory and therefore has lead to a frustratingly negative effect for the shoppers of Tampa Bay. That's just my two cents. ✌🏻

Wow, this place was really done over beautifully! Everything is easy to find, everybody's happy to help, and you can get a lot of good Specialty Foods and cheeses here! The only disappointment is that they've cut the staff that helps you check out trying to get us to do it ourselves, however, I'm not going to do it! They have one of the few hot bars left in Florida and I’ve been here the last 6 weeks for a construction project, every week I try something new in hopes they did better than last week. The Chinese on Monday’s is saltier than a salt block, the pasta nights always disappoints with hard crusty noodles to chicken Marsala that tastes like chicken bouillon water pasta. They need to tighten up on the hot bar. The couple places in Naples makes this place look like a little Caesar’s of the hot bar world. Not to mention. My roll was rock hard half way through

Great south Tampa Publix on S. Dale Mabry Hwy. in the Palma Ceia neighborhood. Stopped in to pick up a few basics to take home after work. I've been shopping at this store and it's predecessor before the renovation about 10 years ago since I lived in North Hyde Park in the 90's. Always clean and well stocked with a great staff.

The store is very clean. The hot bar is always stocked while it's open, and the food is exceptional for grocery a grocery store buffet. Every time I've ordered a sandwich from the deli, they stuff it with meat so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth. As far as Publix goes, this is one of the best that I've been to in the bay area. I also recommend the Publix at Gandy and Manhattan.

I want to say that this Publix Location is probably the best one. And I think it is because of their Mature associates. I stop by the pharmacy for a prescription and the lady was so helpful she was able to find my insurance with out me providing her the insurance card and mind you I never used publix pharmacy before. And just as I walk around you could see the associates involvement with the customers not only pointing but actually trying to help the customers. The one difference with the one by my house is the aged. The average associated here is like over 35 and the average by my house is like 20 or less. What a pleasure to have such a great service. I will gladly drive the 30 plus minutes for the service. That 28 minutes more than the location by my house.

The best part of this store is the bakery department- it's not nearly as polished as Publix at Westshore- went in about 6:15p for the new dinner /salad bar but it was lacking- un Publix like- it wasn't fresh or being cared for- the price is $2 cheaper though than Whole Foods @ $9.99lb- need more dressings and stocked better

Had my very first experience at Publix yesterday and I can honestly say this is the best supermarket I've been to. They have free valet parking so if its ever super busy you can use that. I have never seen valet parking at a grocery store. Also, the store is huge and have an awesome selection of everything and the staff was super nice when we asked for some help. New favorite supermarket!

BLAKE was super awesome!!!! Respectful and attentive to us & our needs! That’s why I gave 4stars! The whole reason we stopped coming to this location was due to the poor customer service! They were out of meatballs (as usual here) so I decided to get a chicken ‘parm sub’ but they had no Mariana sauce behind the counter, again, as usual. That’s fine I said as I offered to go to the aisle and get it (I’ve done this in the past) however, when I asked where it was(Shana don’t know the proper spelling, sorry)had no clue what isle it was down & then had an unpleasant attitude about going to get it. There probably was about 3 employees around my sub the whole time it was being made. I felt like my sub was in surgery & the workers were doctors! Hovering around it. Blake apologized to us! I think he saw our frustration. Thank you! Even the older lady had to interfere during the order to put a sticker on the sauce Shana pulled. I get it. I worked retail. I understand inventory but it could have waited until we were done ordering. And for the record, the sauce was around isles 4 & 5. This is why we like Platt St. Tara’s awesome there like Blake is here

Excellent as always. With few exceptions employees are helpfu, cheerful and genuine. They go out of their way to assist, always follow policy that they are trying to please the customer, and seem happy to be there. I like paper and unlike other places they're never 'out'. I wish they didn't waste so much food- crates of vegetables and even plants are often thrown out in dumpster- rather than used in soup or composted .

Only gave this place a 4 due to a handful of its employees . For the most part it’s an overall pleasant experience . Food is consistently fresh , establishment & parking lot are always kept well , free valet when needed , free balloons & cookies for the kids, no matter if it’s busy you still won’t wait long , and they seem to always have everything I need ( even without a list ). My only gripe is with the very few workers who lack customer service . There’s been two or three occasions I couldn’t find a product and asked a stocker on the same isle and they’ve been clueless or flat out told me “ I don’t know “ . One stocker flat out lied to me once and told me “ we don’t carry it “. I knew he was not being truthful because it was on the app so after I just searched for it myself And found it I went to him and politely showed it to him in the event it happens to another client and he just starred at me . No apology for being dishonest or unhelpful and no gratitude for not going to his manager & complaining about his behavior which isn’t Publix standard . I agree with the below poster about the Asian lady in the deli she seems to be very upset about her job ALL THE TIME. I’ve also fallen victim to her blank stares while her not trying to help or flat out coldness when serving the food. It’s like she’s in a hurry for you to hurry up . The cashiers are a hit or miss . You’ll get some exceptionally awesome ones & then you’ll get some that are just robots. As far as the rest of the staff they’re great !!! The bakery is always a pleasure to visit . seafood staff & meat department are very helpful . They’re patient , explain specials , and always willing to cut up pre packaged items for me or order in advance . The produce team is always on it and willing to get you something from the back . The deli meats area is always busy but quick And polite . The rest of the prepared foods staff aside from that lady is courteous and serve warm food . Overall I will always continue to shop here because the great experiences always out weigh the very small bad experiences for me .

I really like this Publix. I have been going there since a child. Many light years. Like all Publix Supermarkets, the staff is very helpful. The store is clean, not cluttered even on Christmas eve when it was more than packed. The associates were wonderful great even as busy as they were. They have everything. Their produce department is one of the best, they have more varieties due to the fact that it's a large store. You can not beat their BOGO's. I know that some people complain about that their prices are high considering other large chain department stores with supermarkets. You can not compare a grocery store buying power to a large national or worldwide chain. You always get excellent service and a large variety of quality products. This has nothing to do with a review but when the economy was worse than what it is now. They did not let people go, and worked with manufacturers to be able to have their BOGO. I commend them for this.

The food was good but there was one Asian lady that saw me standing there. She turned around like she didn't see me because she didn't want to serve me. She didn't even tell anyone else to come over after I had been standing there. So I finally went around and asked them is someone over in the sub shop. HORRIBLE SERVICE! I should have told her manager about her!

I love this store but there is just one thing that really annoys me about it. Ever time I get one particular bagger she ALWAYS forgets to put one of the bags of groceries in the cart. I have trained myself to always check that everything is in the cart but I got distracted today and get home and guess what . .$20 of groceries missing. I call the store and they confirmed it was there but it's a 25 minute drive from my house to go back.

Standard Publix shopping experience with a good selection. If you are looking for fresh produce, plan to go somewhere else. It is very consistently sub-par when it comes to freshness. Very frequently come home with berries that look good in store but have moldy fruit inside, and very hard to find peppers that aren’t wrinkly and soft. Same with bananas, usually running low with only overly ripe ones left. Overall produce is a one star rating and the rest of the store is a 4-star. Also, Publix is the last of the 4 major chains in the area to get ‘the new thing’ and they don’t have anything very unique. It’s very run of the mill staple type stuff. Would love to see a wider variety overall.

I've shopped at this Publix for over thirty years and I remember the old store. Good, friendly staff and management. They will report products they are not stocking. The big problem: not enough parking. It was a big mistake to build a Publix restaurant here and not a store the size of the one at Britton Plaza. An even bigger problem was selling a section to put a Bank of America unit in your parking lot. I don't understand these decisions since people have noted this is one of the most profitable stores per square feet of store in the system.

Since they rebuilt it, it's really nice. Surprise to watch for the gas cards. Save 10 bucks on 50 dollars of gas. That's pretty good. Food is good with bogos. Sometimes pricey if your not watching. But you have to know what's out there and for how much

I drive to this Publix from Land O'Lakes, because their store is awesome. They carry items that my local Publix....never heard of..... Also....the Sushi counter is so innovative.....they prepare Sashimi combinations for people who don't want all the rice.....

This is the only Publix store that their shopping app does not give the correct aisles for the products on your list! I made this store my favorite on the app but it gives the wrong aisle numbers! Have not had this problem at any other Publix.

I was approaching the checkout line as the store manager walked behind me and told me to wait. I was confused then he said the floor was wet, I looked down and there was two little drops on the floor. I was like it’s ok but then while he was cleaning it up there was a huge puddle. I don’t see the puddle but you never know who could of slipped or I if the store manager didn’t walk by but that’s some amazing customer service

Great place as far as selection, price and check out experience but horrendous parking lot that is always full, even at noon on a Monday. Very narrow aisles as well added to the fact that it is always crowded combined for a claustrophobic shopping experience.

When I was checking out It got to my attention that were few team leaders who were talking and laughing loud , I was trying to get their attention because I went through aisle 14 and seems someone have left a shopping cart with meat. Icecream and other items but these group were having fun at work instead of paying attention. The worse part of it is that I've seen this girl (publix employee ) searching a trash can , put the trash can on the counter by where they bag groceries and she proceeded to start taking trash off without wearing gloves and not caring that the trash was placed on the counter on front of all the customers, however on of the girls went into the office and grabbed one glove for her to use. This is not acceptable, I was there with my husband and he told me not to say anything, but if you check your cameras around 630pm on Saturday Oct 13th 2018, you will find out who these employees were

Everyone is willing to go above and beyond, prime example it was my daughters birthday and I promised cupcakes however due to callouts I was stuck at work. I booked an uber for my clumsy niece to pick the cupcakes up but from there I needed them to reach the school in tact. I called the store in a panic, not only did they locate my niece but took her to deliver the cupcakes to my 1st grader. My baby thought I was the best...if only she knew PUBLIX is the Real MVP.

This is your basic, chain grocery store location. It is "clean enough" but you get the feeling it's old and dingy. This is not a flagship location, of which I'm sure they have. I'm not expecting a "Whole Foods" experience - those are not for me. Even older businesses can be sparkling clean and neat. In today's world where grocery chains compete for your business, this one is just saying "mehhhh"....
