Love this place! Huge variety of the best cuts of meat as well as prepared foods, condiments, and Desserts. I love spinach pie and theirs it the best I have ever had. Prepared salads too. Great location and excellent service. A little pricey but worth it for the best you will find in the Bay Area.

The man who waited on me said the steak I purchased would have me coming back. Well, my wife who has very high standards said it would be pointless to ever go out for steaks again ( we regularly eat at Capital Grill). She is correct. It was phenomenal, the service here was gorgeous and I can’t wait to be back.

We loved this place! They carry a lot of local products and we loved every single thing we bought from there. Their meats are excellent and so are the desserts and cheese. They have a lot of goodies for hosting parties and sell in larger quantities if you call ahead. The employees were super helpful. My new fave butcher.

Amazing butcher Shoppe! Our first experience, we met the owner Pepe' and was so impressed that he took so much time to educate us on beef. The flavor and quality of beef was beyond description! Such a beautiful experience shopping at a family owned business with such professionalism. Would rather spend money on quality than quantity. We are very fortunate to have Prime Butcher Shoppe at our fingertips. Now we can create a Ruth Chris experience at home at a fraction of the cost! We will be back soon!

OMG, this place is incredible! If you haven't been in, stop by and see their incredible selections of fresh and frozen foods. Go get yourself some dry aged steaks to take home to cook with the herb infused butter selections that they carry. Talk to Pepe if you want to tap into a wealth of knowledge about dry aging, different cuts of meat and cooking techniques. You will leave there feeling like you attended a cooking master class.

A great butchers shop with in walking distance from us. They carry some of the more expensive cuts you can't get at your local grocery. We have been getting the boneless ribeyes. They are thick. I slow cook them on the grill and you can almost just cut them with a fork. Very friendly staff and helpful. So if you are looking for that special occasion cut of meat this is the place.

Been going here since it opened and it is amazing! Pepe and his staff at so friendly and eager to help. We have had steaks, chicken, pork chops, burgers…I could go on and on and everything has been the best. Stopped in there today to pick up a few things and cooked the filet tonight. Amazing store and I gladly recommend it to anyone who is looking for absolutely *incredible* cuts of beef. On top of an *insane* array of amazing steaks, everyone there--from the counter to the register--has been polite, personable and *extremely* helpful every time I have gone in. What to look for, explanation of why something is cut a certain way, cooking recommendations, it doesn't matter, it's all part and parcel of what they're offering and I always feel welcome and taken care of. I haven't found its like anywhere in the area and to my mind everything I have seen and purchased have all been extremely worth it. The Prime Butcher Shoppe is *easily* worth supporting with your business.

I wanted to have a nice barbecue for my coworkers so I went to Prime Butcher to buy some meat. The employees, and then the owner himself, helped me make good choices and instruct me on how to best prep and cook the food I bought. The filet mignon, Korean short ribs, and chimichurri sauce were extremely popular! My dad and I went to Prime to buy something for supper and the upcoming holidays. We had the filets for dinner, and they were more tender than the mushrooms we cooked alongside them. We love supporting local businesses, and the fact that this place sells high quality products with excellent customer service makes it easy to choose Prime Butcher.

Amazing butcher shop! Stopped by looking for something to smoke on the bbq for a big family dinner. Had a great interaction with staff along with owner, Pepe, who recommended a new seasoning combo for smoked tri tip steak. Needless to say, people were drooling all over themselves and I had to break up a few knife fights for the last few bites…Should’ve gotten more!!

Honestly love this place! You feel very welcome and like family when you come here. Such an awesome vibe and almost like a museum with all of the cool decor. We got the prime ribeye steak and it was the most tender, freshest steak I have ever eaten. Definitely could tell the quality of the meat is superior! Such great selections and a one stop shop. Wonderful local butcher and family run. The meat is fresher, more unique, and offers a great selection of other accessories. We had their PRIME Ribeye tonight as part of their 4th of July weekend special and it same quality as Charley’s, Capital Grille and other top notch steakhouses. Don’t waste your money at Publix. The prices are fair here, but the quality is so much better! Our go to Butcher!

I can no longer buy my steaks anywhere else but here now. This was my first butcher shop I’ve ever gone to and the cuts of meat you get here too any restaurant around. Seriously the selection along with the weekend deals they do every so often make this place well worth it. If you were ever on the fence about spending more money on steak here than say Publix, sams, or Walmart let me tell you that it is well worth it! Just salt and pepper it and you’ll have a steak that someone would normally get at berns in your own home!

This place is OVERPRICED!!! I have been here twice and paid $35-40/lbs for the prime filets. When I got home I cut the twine off, the filets fall apart. For that price I expect a center cut filet that stands tall and doesn't require twine to hold it together. I also saw one of their baked items say it was baked over a month ago. Now I would say their high end item like Australlian Wagyu or the A-5 would be worth it, due to only one other butcher carrying these items in North Tampa. I feel that you can buy the same quality of their prime at Publix or Costco for half the price.

This place is a little piece of heaven, tucked away in an unassuming corner of Lutz. Great quality spices, deserts, sides, and don't get me started on their meat. They have top quality meat from all over the world and they love to engage in conversations about their meat. I have been here several times and they are so good, I plan to keep on coming!

*edit" Twice in a row we got funky pork chops. They smelled spoiled the first time and went in the trash. Since it had been 3 days since we bought them, we chalked it up to our fault. The second time the pork chops still smelled off but not as rank. They tasted terrible. Definitely a spoiled taste that was followed by gastric distress. We haven't been back since. Simply the best quality fresh meat with all the tasty accoutrements to make the most unctuous meals! There's even charcoal, so all you need is a grill. This is one of the few places to get real Black Diamond white cheddar. There's locally sourced items like local beers, seasonings and more. The thick cut pork chops are so far superior to the pork from the local grocery that is not even on the same planet. I absolutely and strongly recommend the prime aged beef. This is the best I've had. I love the newest addition of the prime aged "dogs" on a stick. They're made from the prime aged beef, are fresh ground and already on a skewer. They're so perfect for the grill! My advice is to buy EXTRA because they're so fantastic that you'll have a battle over them. These are by far my favorite item so far and I can't wait to get some more ASAP! I don't know how I'll eat beef any other way now. My fiance's favorite are the chorizo burgers. They're nice and fat and go amazingly on pretzel rolls. They don't need any seasoning, just a nice hard sear to make them nice and crispy on the outside while staying juicy on the inside. He can't get enough!

Easily the best Butcher/Meat Market I've patronized in my 15yrs living here. Pepe and his family are the gold standard of providing customer service. So much selection. From all cuts of steak, to pork to chicken, to gourmet salads and frozen seafood, they have it all. Wagyu Ribeyes are my favorite! Good Stuff!

Been coming here for several months now and the beef here is top notch. If you’re tired of tough beef sold at the grocery store that is pumped full of whatever the big beef industry is shoveling in their war torn looking zombie like cattle just to keep them alive, then please support these guys. The beef costs a little more than the grocery store but once you’ve had it here you wont be able to go back.

Best selection of red meat I have ever seen! Owner is attentive and excited about his craft which is refreshing. I actually forgot part of my purchase which they kept for me. I frequent butcher shops in the area and this will be my new butcher of choice. Hadn't been treated that well in any butcher shop. Their fresh juices are also amazing. Excellent service. Great quality product, I purchased steak burgers and ribeye. The burgers when cooked on the grill had minimum shrinkage, had great texture, was tender, which is due to their grind used. The family enjoyed them. The ribeye is better quality than any big box store or super market variety. A definite return visit is required.

My family stopped at Prime Butcher for the first time. We went in with no inspiration for what to cook for dinner and left with multiple delicious options. Having a local shop with owners and staff who are as passionate about food as we are is so refreshing and exciting compared to the regular grocery store experience. They’re getting a 5 star review despite a pretty costly and disappointing experience. I know it sounds weird, but I’m going to give them another shot. The biggest reason for this rating and the second-chance is George, the meat man himself. He was awesome! I stopped in because I just got an awesome pellet grill and wanted my first meal to be something special. I also needed to get some flank steak for my daughter’s birthday dinner (Mexican Hillbilly Tacos). I got four gorgeous looking ribeyes for the first meal and five pounds of flank steak for the tacos. I also got four of the biggest potatoes they had. First, the potatoes were awesome. Heavy oil, heavy kosher salt, easy pepper, and baked in the oven for about an hour at 400 depending on size. Second, the flank steak was fantastic. Coat in adobo, massage for five minutes, brush completely/liberally with lime juice, massage for five minutes, then submerge in Corona beer overnight before grilling at full temp until medium rare. Rest five minutes to medium. Then slice it thin and serve with your favorite taco toppings. (And you were right George, I didn’t need the jacquard.) And now for the disappointment. All four ribeyes were cooked at the same time, on the same grill, and to the same temperature. One ribeye was out of this world, two had the taste and texture of a typical Choice cut ribeye from Winn-Dixie (not even from Publix or Costco), and one steak was like shoe leather with almost no flavor. Those ribeyes, except one, were a huge let-down. In the end, George told me they were low on product because this was right after Independence Day. I’m going to guess that I just got a couple old steaks or something. I’ll go back for one more try, but I have to admit that I was a bit upset with my experience when those steaks were $25 each and only one out of four really lived up to the hype.

Prime butcher shop is exactly what this area needed. I know we all like Publix but this place blows their meat department out of the water. Prime? Check. Dry aged? Check. Hanger steak, picanha, all prime. Mr. tango sausage which is a local Florida made sausage. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Jorge and Pepe and they have both made me feel like a friend from the first time I walked in the door. Let’s support local small business and these awesome people!!

Finally! There is beef in the state of Florida! This Texas man has missed good beef. Everything you want is here. From Flank and tri-tips, to aged wagu ribeye. All prime to wagu... Bye Bye paycheck.... Hello happy tummy! And please don't complain about the price... You want the best, you pay for it like anything else in this world. You want USDA Inspected meat, go to winn-dixie, it's cheap and you will be chewing it for days.

First of all, I never leave reviews but when you find that special place, you've gotta share it and give them props! Amazing place! My very first visit...walked in, immediately greeted by two men, learned more about the beef cuts, grabbed 2 prime ribeyes, 1 beef ribs and man I'm glad I did. The ribeyes were so tender and slicing through it was like cutting butter. phenomenal. One bite, heaven! I couldn't finish my steak. That's okay, it'll be lunch the next day. Even reheated in the oven it's still amazing. Extremely impressed with their beef ribs. Smoked and into my belly. They have a great variety of Wagyu Australian (A3) and Kobe (A5) steaks as well. I was in beef heaven! I will be returning for a brisket and a Wagyu steak for special occasions. The cost of beef has skyrocketed (inflation sucks) but when those delicious steaks, AND you can split a steak, it's worth every penny. Now to head back over for a point cut brisket to smoke them for burnt ends. Yummmmm! I highly recommend this place!
