Not as big as the branch near St Petersburg but has almost everything we ever need. Staff was very helpful. Baked goods were shipped in, not cooked on the premises. Not live seafood but they did have fresh seafood

I love going to this market for several reasons; I love the variety of fresh vegetables as well as their live seafood, I enjoy buying love crabs, lobsters and clams.you can also find different (frozen) proteins such as frog legs, rabbit, whole duck, etc. There’s a nice selection of affordable sakes and the staff is pretty friendly! Lastly, j have seen a hot food counter as well with quite delicious looking roasted duck. This is a favorite spot when looking to cook something different. ***cooked /prepare dishes are my creations with some of their ingredients.

Amazing selection. Never knew there were so many kinds of soy sauce or curry powders and pastes. Everything from cookware to fresh fish! And yummy mochi.

Definitely has more fish/produce then my go-to stores, I'll give it that. I honestly have no problem with the place, it has a wide variety of, as I said, fish, meat, rice, and produce. Only problem is that compared to other stores I have been to this place has okay service and (surprisingly) a low amount of ramen. Would rather go to BOM.

A very nice, big, and clean Oriental Market. This store has a very wide selection of Asian foods and even has a fresh fish market and hot food counter. Overall it is very nice to have a store of this magnitude in our area. I would definitely visit if your in the mood for a good selection of Asian Cuisine.

Love this market!!!! It has everything from live fish, shrimp and lobster to a meat counter a variety of things to chose from. Everything is very fairly priced would highly recommend! Plus they have a place in the back that sells lunch and it was delicious! The produce is fresh and the isles are very organized it was very easy to everything we need for some authentic Korean BBQ

You can get Asian grocery items and fish here . We got the silver pompano fish here . They also have hot food bar here. Only thing I did not liked the was the smell due to the sea food items . Vegetables are also present in deli aisles

i dont know what with this location but multiple employees couldnt speak english and they looked frustrated like we should understand them. our cashier had a really bad attitude on body language and tone. i do enjoy otuer locations much better.

Smell is very bad in there. Lots of products though. Lots of boxes in the isles so if someone stops you have to wait for them to move otherwise there is no way going around

We lived in Okinawa for 3yrs and still get a craving for authentic Asian cuisine. If it is a part of Japanese, Chinese, Thai, or Vietnamese meals, it can be found here. Fresh, frozen, dried, they have it! Sauces, seasonings, fish, candy, this is the place to go. We recently bought a dragon fruit, expecting the normal white insides, but had the pleasant surprise of this beautiful bright pink! We often get the take-out meal (like you get at the mall food court) for like $6, and it is always good. You cannot get any more authentic than the MD Oriental Market.

Shelfs are pretty much always stocked which is great but theirs hardly enough space to walk in Between the aisles with rhe boxes o. The floors especially when customers are walking in both directions. Besides that I always find what I need here and the hot food selection is good and fresh.

Love this place. Lived in China for a year, and it brings back memories when I go here and take in all those wonderful sights and smells. Stuff you just can't find at the big box grocery stores. Many different Asian cultures represented. Highly recommend (maybe not the durians; you've been warned on that one).

SADDLY Produce and herbs are pre packaged. I do not need a lifetime supply of .......... why not package in a few different portions!!?!!?! Especially the herbs. It would also be nice if the staff could speak English, or maybe they just like to pretend they don't? Your clothes will definitely smell after leaving this market, so make it your last stop before home.

I go to the MD market in Tampa all the time but since I moved I decided to try this one. Definitely still love it and will be coming back but was disappointed with their selection as it was not near as diverse as their other location and they did not have many of the items I usually buy. Nonetheless I still love their stores and will keep coming back for the things I did find :)

We go to this market when we want something out of the ordinary. This is a large facility with just about anything would like staring East Asian cuisine. One of our purchases was a good sized cooked duck. You can get it whole or they will cut it for you. Many other items are available here that may not be available at your usual grocery store.

MD has a very nice selections of Asian grocery, they also have fresh food and Chinese Bbq section. Don't forget to pick up Shao Mei Ice bar from Taiwan, and the new flavor is boba brown sugar flavor. You will not regret it.

Not as much variety as other MD location, but still great store. Tons of ingredients available and we always get their buns/pastries towards the back of the store. Soju always sells out fast so you may have to come a few times a week before you find the flavor you want.

What a great place for all types of Asian foods. They have an extensive selection of Asian and other produce. An amazing selection of fish and meats. Worth going just for the fish selection. Large frozen food section. They have a small selection of bakery items. I buy the red bean cakes and they are so good. They also have a nice wine saki selection. Just a wonderful selection of anything Asian. For lunch you can get a big container of food for $4.99. I can get 3 meals out of it. You have a choice of about 10 different meal choices. Noticed people who looked liked they worked near by and came just for lunch. Worth a visit.

I mostly visit these types of markets for their seafood options. They have a good assortment of seafood options. But the old woman who runs the cashier sometimes never speaks a word to me even not even to tell me the total of my items. She just looked up annoyed like I'm supposed to know the total. I thought that was just how she was until someone else who wasn't black walked up behind me and she smiled and spoke to him and all. Oh well, her I guess hatefulness I've noted towards me is funny at best

I love this little treasure! Their produce is always top-notch and they have Ume-boshi! They also have Japanese plum wine there as well! A lot of the hard to find items for Asian cuisine can be found here. When I need something I can only import online, I tend to go here first and they usually have it! Small place but gold! Totally recommend this place!

Great selection and prices on fresh produce. So many things I want to try if only I knew what to do with them. I gave three stars because 1. The fish smell is pretty bad and makes me wonder if the place is as clean as it could be 2. I bought a big expensive bag of bugs with rice in it 3. The staff seems annoyed with the customers. Could be a cultural thing but rudeness isn't good for business.

I've been to this store several times and always find what I need. Their hot lunches taste good and are reasonably priced. Their produce is always fresh and you shouldn't have any problems looking for Asian food products that you won't find in regular grocery stores. I would definitely recommend this store to friends and family. I always make sure to have Sriracha at my house.

Oriental everything!! What an exceptional experience. For the culinary novice or expert this market is a gem. There are aisles dedicated to noodles, dedicated to sauces and pastes, soy, and tofu, etc. In this market you have an insight to the world through ingredients, fish, other meats and an assortment of vegetables. Prices are beyond reasonable. Regardless how obscure, it is there. The staff is very polite, waiting to assist.

This Asian food store has most items needed for recipes. It is not setup like a Publix, so if you are looking for an item having a picture can be helpful to locate what you may need. They have a good price for fresh shrimp. I love the can ice coffee. They have many treats one can only find in an Asian store. Try something new. The best is the food served in the back. They make a very generously portioned lunch.

Bored with your current menu? Try visiting here. Unless you are expert in all things Chinese cuisine, you are likely to find something you have never eaten before. I'd never seen or heard of some of their vegetables before. Or maybe you like selecting you seafood from a live tank? Or maybe you like your duck with the head still attached? We love their warm Chinese baps. Great prices, too. They also have take out. Their cooking supplies selections are great, too.

Haven't been here in 7 years. Still a great place. Interestingly we found herbs and vegetables we don't normally find in our regular places. We might just have to alternate to this place every once in a while. They also serve hot food and it would appear that this style of cooking is more traditional than what you'll find in a regular Chinese restaurant. If you haven't been here before it's worth checking out.

The store is open for inhouse shopping and provides sufficient space for social distancing between customers and staff. The interior of the store is quite large and features a large variety of Asian foods, fresh fruit, vegetables, canned goods, sauces, dressings, spices, fresh seafood, chicken, beef and pork, frozen foods, snacks, candy and other items. Came in for the first time the other day and I am excited to return. The staff is going to lengths to protect their customers and their workers, indicating stickers on the floor, masks required, etc. My husband and I were impressed with their produce selection and fresh baked goods. I go here often to get special ingredients. But it would be nice if they could do something, ANYTHING about that smell. I mean i understand they have fish but come on so do fish markets!!! We have been going to this store since it opened. However, the past few times we've been there, the customer service was horrible. Everytime I asked the stock person where something is, I was told "if you can't find it, we don't have it". Then I would walk around the entire store and find it. They were very impatient like I was a bother. I purchased something with a sign that says one price but rang up a different price. So the cashier asked the stock person why the price is different. He stated that is the wrong sign and told me "you have to read the sign". I'm sorry but if you stock the items at the wrong spot with the wrong sign, that's not my problem. It's not my job to go look for the correct sign and price if the items are stocked in the wrong spot. Very annoyed.

I've always had a good experience here. A large majority of the products here cannot be found in chain grocery stores. Produce is cheaper than major grocery stores and has a wider selection. Produce always seems fresh as well. Seafood counter is nice - a variety of fresh seafood either alive in tanks or on ice. Recently noticed some isles have recipe cards now, which can be beneficial for people not familiar with the different types of ingredient you will find here. Staff has always been courteous as well.

This Asian Market has pretty good stuff, but some of items are low quality. If you are looking for Asian style cooking ingredients, it is a great place to go. The store will be more friendly and appealing if they can clean it appropriately.

I settled on 3 stars. The place is well priced and has authentic Asian food and groceries but isn't the cleanest and has a smell to it. If your trying to find specific ingredients for asian cooking, this is definitely your place. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd like to go in again to see if it was an off day or if that's the overall vibe.

MD Oriental Market is my favorite oriental markets. No matter where the market is located in either Brandon or Tampa. . Lots of fresh produce, freshly made food with wonderful aromas just teasing your senses. Today I purchased some chicken (spicy) which tasted like it was laced with a peanut sauce. So good realized after I ate it I should have provided with a photo. I also purchased some barbecue pork. All was delicious and reasonably priced for a market. They also have a large array of beautiful serving dishes. The market has plenty of merchandise to please everyone. Always a treat for me to come--something a bit different.

Nice and clean oriental market. thought bit pricey, really good selection. I can usually find everything I need at one. Veges are good and love it, but meat and fish are somewhat mediocre, and I don't buy those. In Asian grocery... rule no.1, you pick up fresh items from pile of merchandise. Don't expect them clean and clear all the time. If you have a doubt in fish freshness, check their eyes and select only one has clean eyes. If it's whitish color. Avoid it unless you know how to cook it. For meat, generally you should stick with your nearest big grocery store.

MD is definitely our one stop for Oriental foods. I've been to the others and they just don't compare to the variety that MD sells and I just like the store better. Definitely a lot of variety from vegetables to meat to exotic foods and fruits. I love it! The employees there also are nice and recognize you when you go too often, which is my case most of the time. I love the MD here in Brandon and the bigger home store in Pinellas. Just love it and recommend it to all my friends who come from out of town looking for Asian food.

This is an amazing grocery store. All types of different foods here. Also, a lot of vegan options. For example the vegetarian or vegetable dumplings in the freezer section are very good. Follow the cooking instructions and you'll be all set.

What's there to say about this place? If you want to have authentic asian food, this is one of the few grocery stores spread out throughout Tampa without going to any of the brand name stores. Great place for affordable vegetables.

While i haven't been in a lot of Asian markets, this store was recommended to me by someone who has. It seemed to have an impressive selection. I definitely will return. That said, the live seafood section seemed a little rough and one of the things I bought was expired.

A very friendly, well stocked store. Pretty much any asian cuisine essential can be found here. I wish there were more signs in English, but I could see how labeling everything would be time consuming and difficult. If you are planning on cooking something with specific items, it is best to look up the brand you want, because there is just so much food to choose and buy. Their custard buns are very tasty!

This store is amazing. They have fresh made buffet food, desserts and pastries. Even have live seafood. Fresh vegetables. Quality grade cookware. Many asian candies and snacks! Huge variety on drinks and alcoholic beverages. Asian medicine. They carry a variety of tea. Layout could be better in the store for an easier way to shop but doesn't bother me too much. It is clean inside and huge parking space.

I absolutely love this place. I come here Mainly for their variety packs of noodles. On top of that I also come here for their snacks and candy. Other than that just the spices and Sodus. I found myself throwing away my bowls for theirs. And from time to time I get my sakay and wine from them.

The market smell like fish, but the prices are cheap. There’s many Asians snacks to choose from. I like to buy Asian vegetable there because it’s cheap. I love their snack selection and Asian drinks selection. I also like their bread which I don’t have to drive so far to buy.

We visited while the kids were playing at Sky Zone. Great selection of all things Asian: produce, fruits, curries, meat, fish, tea, noodles etc. We had a lot of fun looking around and I was able to get some of my favorite Japanese and Thai treats as well as a large tub Panang curry paste. My husband wanted to buy Durian, but I doubt the kids would eat it. They were out of passion fruit today, so we will be back soon to stock up on more supplies to make our favorite Asian meals. A great find!

Huge selection of imported foods. One of the few Asian markets I have been to where only a little over half of the customers I saw were themselves Asian. However, my Chinese sister-in-law tells me the Chinese food is authentic and I know the Filipino food is too. I haven't visited the rest of Asia, so I can't comment on authenticity, but it tastes good and you can get it at a reasonable price here.

If you enjoy cooking, you can find great values in quality ingredients. Fresh produce, tofu, seafood, and hard to find spices and sauces. I like the utensils, drinks, snacks, that remind me of home in Japan. In addition to food, you can find a variety of products not common in stores stateside. I have noticed that this market is more clean than some other markets which is reassuring and with reasonable prices on just about everything.

One of the better Oriental grocery stores we have been to. This place is huge and carries a vast inventory. One of the reasons why we like it so much it the wide variety of GF food items they carry, much larger than Publix and Winn Dixie and cheaper than the health food stores. Wide range of live seafood, meat market, hot bar, sweets area and fresh roasted duck. If you are looking for your favorite food item from your local Chinese restaurant, this place has it.

Fowler Rd location has a much better selection of produce and it’s easier to get around. I love the availability of fresh produce for a decent price but it’s so cramped at this location it’s hard to get to anything. The smell here is also rough sometimes. Bleach and fish. It’s a lot to take in.

Visiting here from ATL so I'm used to a big rows of fruits, not here just a long row of vegetables and a few bins of normal grocery store fruits. So I would not recommend this store if fruit is on your shopping list but they did a decent amount of your average Asian store items, utensils, seasonings, fish monger in the back of the store, fresh Asian food to order in the back also, and a small snack and freezer aisle. If that's what u are looking for, small but general items then give it a try. 👍

The market was good if you're looking for some Asian items. Not that big of a selection on Korean food, which was the reason I was there. The fish counter was busy. They also had goat meat. Bought some nappa cabbage and daikon raddish which were decently priced. Still looking for the right market though.

As far as Asian groceries go this place is decent for Tampa. It's not as good as the ones in Orlando but they do have a good selection of various basic items from different Asian countries. They have Mae Ploy and Chao Koa which are two Thai brands I am familiar with. They dont have Tiparos which is my favorite fish sauce. Their produce is decent and fairly priced. Thwy have a good selection of frozen dumplings and they have fresh fish and eels in the store. Rice prices are ok. They dont have a lot of bakery items but they do have fresh roast duck and bbq pork. I wish they had a bigger selection of fresh noodles. Other then that a good store for basic Asian cuisine ingredients.

Very decent/reasonable prices for the most part. I like the fact that they have fresh seafood and carry items such as fresh blue crabs, jellyfish, etc. Good selection of asian ingredients, primarily Korean and Japanese, but they also have some Thai/Laotian and Chinese ingredients as well. As far as meats, they have a butcher and a fair selection, to include ground pork. They carry some of the less common fruits (to include mangosteen at times) and vegetables as well, though not in large quantities and sometimes the quality can be hit or miss. Thry also have an ok hot food area in the back right side od the store. The four stars are base on variety, price and doing a decent job at a niche market in an area that needs it. It's no Super H Mart, but it'll do.

My wife is Filipino , so she loves this place as they have many things they don’t have in most US grocery stores for her cooking , the fruits and vegetables are fresh , and fish are still swimming in the tanks, you can’t get any fresher than that . This is probably the largest asian grocery store I have been to south of Tampa. Plenty of selections and the prices are very reasonable compared to the stores in Fort Myers. There is a prepared food section in the back that served lunch dishes similar to Panda express and a meat section, where you can buy roasted meats.

Easy to find Asian supermarket. You can get the best quality rice cooker brands, stir-fry pans, Florida lottery, and fresh fish cleaned, scaled and cut while you shop. Leave a tip for the great job they do in prepping your fish according to your specifications. Lots of Asian products including Asian beers. All around friendly & helpful staff. Lots of parking. Florida Sunpass office is right next door which helps if you need to load more money without paying a fee similar to Amscott. Home depot and other shops within the shopping area.
