I used to go here when they were in town n country about 30 years ago when my brother worked behind the counter.... to my amazement they are still up and going in Tampa! They were very busy for a Wednesday afternoon, and they had exactly what I was looking for, calf liver! Overall a nice, and friendly atmosphere. Will be coming back.

A Tampa icon. It's a deli, restaurant, and grocery store. Lots of choices for Italian and Latina foods. There can be a little bit of a wait to get your food order. Everything is done at the counter. The food is top notch. The deviled crab has real blue crab all made in house. Cost for a sandwich and deviled crab will cost you about $12.

We don’t have a place quite like this in Manatee County. We have ordered the lasagna here four times now for large parties and each time it has been superb. The salad has always been fresh And for a large tray of lasagna will only set you back $70. I wish I would’ve taken a photo prior to this review , but I will make this drive Anytime I need fresh Italian food.

Cacciatore & Sons hands down has the best deviled crabs in Tampa! They' re not necessarily the biggest but they're by far the best value if your looking for 100% real crab meat. They are cooked fresh while you wait, not sitting under a heat lamp drying out like most places. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed

A great Italian deli but they have gone a bit high on the prices. 6.99 for a container of soup? What is this Whole foods? The made to order sandwiches are great and priced fairly, but a few days ago I get a chkn parm with pasta (8.99 btw)and when I get home to start eating it, the chicken was off and tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamp way too long. Had to throw in the trash, wouldn't have given it to the neighbor's dog. Won't stop me from going, but it did cast a dark shadow over the place for me. I'll never order any hot food again.

Haven't been to an Italian market in years after my local one closed, but recently moved to new location and it happened to be less than a mile from this establishment. Took my son with me and my first impression was "just like my grandmother's place", the aroma is one you come just for the experience. The staff was exceptionally pleasant towards my son and myself, the devil crabs are very good for the price, not too expensive yet lots of chunks of crab meat. Brought home the baked ziti and my family loved it, as close to mama's as it can get. Very pleased to have found this place and will be going back to stock up on meats.

Best Italian sausage ever. The meat and deli departments have great selections of fresh meats, cheeses, olives, dry meats and prepared foods. The lasagna is perfect with thin layers and delicious fillings, it's a must get when we go. They have a wide assortment of imported foods and over the years have greatly expanded their wine selections to include excellent bottles at great prices. If you can't wait to get home to eat your deli goods, they have a good sized cafe area.

My favorite place to get meats, love their in house made Italian sausage. They have a full butcher counter, deli and hot meals you can eat or take to go. My grandmother shopped there, my mom and now myself and my girls. This is a staple of old West Tampa.

Always happy with the service, the prices and the food!! They have these amazing Italian sausages that are to die for!! I tried the tuna salad today; yummylicious! All the food is delicious. We enjoy picking out lunch from there. The place is always packed, there is an area you can have lunch at; the meat Dpt and there's some groceries for a quick market stop. They sell Alessi's products which is good and some homemade food that's prepacked in the fridge area. We love cacciatore and bro's, I hope they are open for 100 years more!!

We had the yellow rice, pulled pork, black beans and platanos for our work party today and everything was excellent ! Service is also A+// WENT AGAIN TODAY AND WE GOT FOOD FOR THE ENTIRE OFFICE. PASTA, STEAK BURGERS, YELLOW RICE AND CHICKEN AND CHEF SALAD. EVERYTHING WAS FRESH AND EXCELLENT!!

First, and foremost, if I am going into an “Italian market” I expect to see, or at the very least, be able to purchase dried Italian sausage, but this place doesn’t have ANY! The only sausage they have is what’s packaged up in the refrigerators?! I can buy that ANYWHERE! An Italian Market/butcher should have this. Google had no listing of the business hours, so i took a pic. We went at 5:30 and all of the meats were put away already however the quality and cut was good. The workers were very nice as well. Just very disappointed about the sausage they did not have! :(

Went for the first time today. My girlfriend and I are frequent customers of Cacciatore Brothers. Given the entire area around that store was flooded today we decided to check out Cacciatore and Sons which we have been meaning to do for some time. Very nice staff, laid back atmosphere, good selection of products, and great meat. Will definitely be coming back even when Cacciatore Brothers isn't under water.

Great place...one of the few old down home, friendly, get together with your old cronies and discuss old times, politics, and how the family is doing Restaurant/grocery store. Of course you'll share some great Italian & Cuban prepared cuisine 0. Then there's the gal at the register, she's another atraction all unto herself...PRICES ARE EXCELLENT! I love Cacciatore's.

Update from one star to 5 stars 10/17: Well, what do you know! I have written two reviews about these people (complaints about their deviled crabs). Neither very flattering in the least. My wife came home yesterday with four of the things. I had been looking forward all day to deviled crabs. Until she told me what she did. She works not far from Cacciatore & Sons, so rather than go across town to Brocatos (my favorite) she decided to give them another try. As Gomer would say, surprise, surprise, surprise. I have to say, even though they went up a dollar in price, they were well worth it. Filled to the brim with crab meat and a very nice flavor. I must say for the price and the taste they got Brocatos beat this time by a country mile. We will be back. As long as they keep this up they have won me over. Thanks guys! 6/17 We had been driving 40 miles to Brogato's to get our deviled crabs for years. Cacciatore and Sons are closer so we thought we would try their crab rolls since they had good reviews. Bought 4 Deviled crabs a month ago and they were near perfection with an abundance of crab meat. At $3.00 a piece they were well worth it. So, two weeks ago I drive the twenty miles to Cacciatore and Son's and buy 4 more crab rolls. Turns out they were mushy with a very pitiful amount of crab. I will try one more time. If I ever get a crab roll from them like that again I will never go back. Brogato's may be expensive and far, but I have never been disappointed.

Cacciatore so is our go to place. We get baked ziti trays to take to our weekends with grand kids. Sauce with meatballs is the meal of choice for my son and hunting buddies. Soups are in our freezer like gold bars waiting for a crisis! Their ground meat is perfect for hamburgers and no other touches it! The sausage on the grill is a must for all family meals. We pinwheel it, let it rest in some orange juice and put it on the grill! Yummy!

This place is quite simply, OUTSTANDING. There is nothing like it anywhere else in the Tampa Bay area. First, it is a local market, but with a unique orientation - Spanish and Italian. If you crave authentic Italian sausage, either sweet or hot, there's is nothing like the mass-market, factory produced versions you see in local grocery stores (and I am taking to you, Publix). They have a full meat market with 3 butchers who will help you with any meat order, whether the typical American cuts, or the rare orders one usually only sees in New York. They make the best sandwiches in town, all made to order, but if you come around noon, be prepared to wait because the line can get looong. If you discovered the muffaletta sandwich at the Central Grocery in New Orleans, they make that, too, and I think their version is BETTER (and I lived in New Orleans for years). I live near MacDill AFB, so coming here is a wee bit of a trip, but it is well worth the time and distance because this place is one of Tampa hidden gems. There is nothing like it.

One of the few remaining family-run Italian / Cuban / Spanish bodegas that were once common throughout West Tampa and Ybor City, Cacciatore & Sons is known for quality meats, produce, and a deli, plus various specialty Italian and "Latin" grocery items that you can't always find in the big grocery stores. They added hot food and a small seating area a few years ago, and the lunch selections are excellent. Most impressive are the deviled crabs and Cuban sandwiches, two Tampa-made creations that are perfected here. Mangia mangia!
