This supermarket is a good place to find most of the daily life items. Prices are good. If you have card, several items have discounts. Getting card is easy and there is no fee for the card. Also there is a way to make your own fresh peanut and almond butter.

For a city grocery store, this one is pretty good. However, they are not going to have everything you are looking for, so you might need to make multiple trips a week. For example, I went yesterday (a Thursday) mid day, and they had no seafood: only a bed of ice. But, they have a larger than normal selection for a downtown grocery store. They have a full produce, alcohol, bakery, and grocery section. With that said, I’m thinking their supplier/receiving might be less frequent throughout the week, likely due to downtown proximity? Either way, set your expectations. Store is clean and staff is pretty responsive.

This has been my go-to grocery store since I moved to South Lake Union. The selection is pretty good, with lots of local products. The prices are reasonable. The last few times I've visited, however, there's been a strong, unpleasant smell in the store.

This store is surprisingly great at getting pickup orders out on time. It’s hard to find a good pick-up store in the city, but this one is my go-to. Also the most accessible pricing in the area.

I’ve always been a fan of QFC, having grown up close enough to one to walk there at a young age. They have everything you could need and are open 24hrs. Their produce is generally great, and their deli is also very good. This location, however is a bit different from my Normandy Park location. The service is not always so great here. Today, we waited by the deli case for about 15 minutes while the one guy working very slowly went about helping another person. The guy from the cheese area actually walked over to get something, saw us, walked past Kenny (the guy cutting meat) and had a short conversation with him, then just walked out and back to the cheese area. We finally bailed on our sandwich idea and instead checked out and left. On the way out we noticed that around the corner was a girl at the cake area doing some tasks. At any other location Kenny would have asked the cheese guy to help or asked her to help or jumped on the phone to call for help. He also certainly would have worked a little faster if he had someone waiting that long.

We shopped here a couple of times on our visit to Seattle - we chose this market as it was walkable from our hotel and had excellent hours.
Upon arrival, it was interesting that the store is sunken - you take a flight of stairs down and enter the market. There's also an elevator if you have a stroller or mobility concerns.
The staff here was super kind, especially the girl in the specialty cheese section. She offered us samples of pretty much anything we were curious about, and we ended up choosing some excellent local cheeses for an in-room charcuterie at our hotel. There was one super spicy habanero and a cave-aged with crystals that really stood out.
Prices were eh, a little high, but that's what's to be expected these days I suppose. I will say, if you're interested in Theo Chocolates (locally made in Seattle & the bars make great souvenirs/gifts), we found the QFC to have a great selection of their bars at excellent prices - more than half what you'd pay at the Theo factory. We stocked up on several to hand out to friends & family as gifts, and I believe they were even on sale in-store that week. Highly recommend!
The cashiers were all kind and one young man gave us some great recommendations for things to do in the evening - he himself was a college student and transplant from out-of-state. Always good to ask around to the locals. Definitely stop by to pick up some groceries if you're planning to be in town a few days - we found it to be worthwhile.
