Reviews of Albertsons
I am so afraid of this store but it's just a store like it's not the stores fault. I think it's the yellow. It made me feel unreal. It was pitch black outside and i was in the store and i felt my whole life twist. It made me feel like time was an illusion. But it's fine. I think it's a me problem so minus but a star.
If it wasn't for the friendly staff, I'd rate this store 1 star. Probably my 2nd least favorite store in all of King County. Teeny tiny produce section. The meat dept always seems like there is no one there stocking the meat.
This location could use any amount of facelift - The place just feels a bit dingy. The staff were fine, and they had most things I was looking for, but overall it was just ok.
Cute little neighborhood Albertsons. Friendly cashiers, it’s a tightly packed little store ( I don’t mind at all ) good prices. I loved visiting here after newly moving downtown on the bay, this little store made me feel like I was back in my small town home and everyone was my friend. The smile on my face was obvious as my husband kept saying “you love this place, don’t you”.
I will drive up to shop here from now on. I didn’t feel like I was going to get jumped, robbed or shot. What a welcome feeling.
Generally ok (staff are very down to earth and friendly) but be aware the produce selection and quality is typically disappointing.
A little dingy, and not the best produce or meat selection. Great Fried Chicken. Staff is friendly. Reviews 2022. Produce has been good the last couple of years
Walking into this place is like magically strolling into the 90's.
Lighting is yellowish and drab.
Employees sulking about as if they are half zombie.
Floor looks like it hasn't been mopped for about 10 years.
Kinda gross if you actually stop and look around the place.
Responding to the response from owner: No thanks.
They have items for sale you can buy, some items you can eat.
I always have a wonderful experience with all of the cashiers. The selection is only slightly smaller than the Safeway just over the Ballard Bridge.
Nice friendly place with good prices. You could pay more and get higher end produce elsewhere but a wonderful store for the price!
Fresh produce is very low quality. The same goes for vegetables and fruits. The building is outdated and could use some minor repairs. This grocery store is convenient for most Magnolia residents for last-minute shelf items, but I wouldn’t recommend it for fresh produce. Prices are somewhat cheaper than QFC. The staff is amicable, specially the store manager Shelly; she’s such a sweetheart.
Albertsons is a tiny store with plenty of heart, if you would allow the cliche. The cashiers are very helpful and friendly and ready to locate any item you may need. The produce is fresh and there is a good variety of meat and fish to choose from. While everything is great in-house, I would like to suggest that the store is sorely in need of a facelift. Maybe some paint here there, better lighting, and some stronger shading when the sun is especially intense during the summer (you can hardly see the cashier in front of you when checking out).
It's a little worn down and their selection of "modern" foods is lacking but it is less expensive than other nearby options. By modern foods I mean things like vegetarian "meats" or exotic organic/free-range/blah-fed bacons. It's essentially an anti-Whole Foods.
That said, when I don't feel like spending 2x as much on Cheerios, beer, or other staples it's a great option in Magnolia. They also have sizes larger than the other Magnolia stores which is great since I'm in a 5 person house.
Pretty slim on the selections, but probably the best price I’ve found in this city.
This location is small for am Albertsons but didn't seem to be missing anything I expected to see. Even with the Covid-19 pandemic raging and most stores closing their bathrooms to the public, the employee I spoke with let me know I could use theirs and directed me to it. The store (and restroom) was clean and organized and full of positive staff.
If you live on Magnolia you owe it to yourself to shop at Albertsons. Great friendly staff, quick service, fair prices, good values, clean well stocked shelves, happy deli service people. Very importantly, all of the stores' staff are always polite and respectful to every single customer. This is a core value often lacking at other stores. Thank you Albertsons!
This is the best stocked place in Magnolia District. I had too much to carry but no car or truck. It has rare items like box juices. A lot of freshly made foods and salads and desserts. Hard to choose because so many. Very nicely spaced aisles for accessibility and wheelchair friendly. Only real problem, not their fault, is buses are two or three blocks away. Metro needs to add more trips and another route because Magnolia is a busy place now. I live downtown but visited since the 1970s when l had a car....
Decent selection and good location.
Nice smaller location, best parking seen available, always easy park. A bit under staffed when I go in. Store is stuffed with selection, quite surprising and the sales genuinely are good onez! Visit the deli, good to great cold case, especially meats and cheeses. Beer selection good, wine same
I haven't been there since 2002 when l couldn't afford to own a car. What a nice place now. Lots of food and box drinks l rarely see in stores anymore. I went out with a heavy bag and wanted more but had a long bus ride. The only glitch is the bus stop is several blocks away. I live on First Hill. Best grocery in Magnolia.
The staff makes this store. If you aren't into the fancy this is the place for you. If you watch the coupons and sales you can get great deals. Too bad they can't seem to keep a good store manager. Make sure you watch for the coupons to be honored at the register, give them last and pay attention! I hope they never make it fancy it's where long time Magnolia neighbors shop and you will run into old friends there. Shelly rocks!
I've heard so many bad things about this Albertsons that I decided to check it out as I started looking for an apartment in Magnolia. What I found was a dated and slightly small but otherwise totally normal Safeway (who now owns Albertsons). The produce, meat, and deli were all fresh, there was a large organic produce section that was well stocked, and the staff were courteous and helpful. People had written that they had a limited selection and while I didn't examine every nook and cranny, every item I thought to look for was there on the shelves (including some very nice Italian coffees). It would be a four star grocery store, but the fifth star bringing it into the exceptional category is for not being marked up like QFC and Met Market, despite being in a high income neighborhood.)
(Also, another reviewer said that they don't "front" their shelves, meaning pulling the items forward. Maybe because I read this comment I was primed to notice, but I was actually shocked by how well fronted the shelves were! The store looked immaculate.)
Oh man the final outpost of this chain in the city (I believe), and for good reason. Their produce and bakery rival Grocery Outlet in quality but are more like QFC in cost. Location is convenient for when you don't want to cross a bridge or give up your firstborn for an apple at Met Market down the street. Also for generic shelf stable products and drinks they have a decent selection.
This place is like walking into the mid 90s. I swear this particular albertsons has fallen through the corporate cracks and remained as is for the last 30 years. For this, it depends on what your looking for, if that's a no frills walk in walk out, this is it and I love it.
Small, comparatively, neighborhood grocery store. Smaller in selection and inventory than a full size. Always friendly staff and lots of parking!!! As long as all the users of the pool across the street respect the signs.
Has good fruit, fruit juice, bagels (daily wide variety of them!) and meats. Also has pastries and snack food, plus an aisle full of alcoholic drinks. Good staff and a reliable source of healthy to moderately junky nutrition. A food store.
Magnolia Albertsons it’s been a staple for years for the people of Magnolia. Now it is making way for a brand new Safeway/condominium project. Which will add much traffic and much higher Home prices in the area.
Pretty decent selection. Never too busy. But damn the building is old. It’s like going back in time to the early 60s.
Not the cleanest store but it’s cheaper than Met and also it has all the stuff I was looking for
They are the best. So helpful if you're looking for something and it's not there they order it for you and when he stopped by the bakery and Deli they always give the kids a cookie! I go out of my way to make sure to go to this store
It’s a smaller store. Has essentials but I’m not too impressed by the vegetable and fruit quality. If I buy strawberries from here, I find I have to eat it that day.
No self checkout, so most of the customers grabbing <10 items had to wait in a cramped rounded queue. Strange store.
The Magnolia Albertsons' staff is great and the supermarket itself has all the necessary things. I go here very often. Prices are reasonable and location is perfect.
One of the last cute old (not remodeled) Albertsons in Seattle that transports you straight into the 1980s. They still use the old-skool freezers and fridges in their bakery section in back <3 Awesome!
The best things this location has going for it are the occasional seafood and beef sales and the Amazon locker outside. It's a smaller, older store with limited selection. It's passable if you happen to be near it.
Super friendly staff in an otherwise normal grocery store.
Staff always friendly and helpful. I usually find what I need here. Manager here is great on customer service. Store could use a facelift on the interior however.
Great food products and great prices. I get my roasted chicken here and it never fails to amaze me. Really good food and helpful staff.
Small and limited selection. I know it is clean but it seems gritty. My kids love the donuts. The staff is friendly.
My favorite neighborhood store!
And hasn't changed, at all!
Not the newest store but they are nice, helpful, and always have good produce. One of the places I can almost always find a perfectly ripe avocado.
I like Albertson it's not too terribly expensive and it has a lot of stuff at good prices staffs real nice,, it has the kind of family atmosphere, a neighborhood bulletin boards Plus bakery very friendly very friendly I love Albertson
Always a pleasure to shop there.
Clean, staff is beyond polite, professional & knowledgeable.
The staff is fantastic but the building is really run down and surprisingly so in such a nice neighborhood
Not as busy as the one on kirby, tons of parking :) I love the hummus, fresh cookies, fresh pizza and the fresh bread.
Outstanding Customer Services Provided W/ Smoking Deals (the kind u can't afford NOT TO BUY) .
Only been a couple times. Nice, well-rounded grocery store. No complaints
Nice store but no public restroom. But they let you use the employees washroom if you look okay.
Great employees at this location. Very friendly. They need a remodel though.
Very easy to find what you're looking for and very fresh produce.
Nice quick and easy place to stop if you need to pick up something, it's never crowded and employees are friendly and helpful.
Friendly helpful service, parking available on a Saturday. Bit of a cramped layout, but a surprisingly good selection for the size.
Decent and reliable place when you're in a rush to buy that one onion when QFC is closed but the staff looks positively suicidal.
Conveniently open 24 hours! The greatest staff & customer service. Jojo rocks!
It's the best grocery store in Magnolia Village!
Friendly staff, good place to have all the groceries done.
I was in the area visiting a friend. Had to check the store out. Very nice!!
Simple and basic. Not too crowded. Fast lines. Good for quick shopping.
Nice, small, with friendly employees. They have lotto, coinstar, key maker, redbox.
I'm glad It's here as it is way more affordable than met mkt but it's kind of meh.
A small kind of run down old store, due to be knocked down.
Thankyou for having your bathroom open for vendors and delivery people!!!
A little dated. Broad selection of items. Good parking
Had everything I needed. Quick ckeck out. Frendly casher.
Everyone is real nice here. The store sorely needs an updating.
Nice little store with everything you would expect in a neighborhood grocery store
For those items that you need right now.
Small but decent selection
Always has what I need. Great prices and pretty good staff
I cant believe albertsons is still around holding on for life this one
Small town grocery store feeling. Super friendly staff
Very helpful deli department with some quick witty banter.
Nice people...poor product selection!
Very nice friendly workers
Good store with a variety of many quality products
Needs to modernize to compete with Metropolitan Market on 34th and a QFC on Dravus
