Reviews of Rouses Market
T Cook
OMG what an incredible supermarket. The staff here knows the meaning of customer service. Southern hospitality at its best. I could just spend hours looking around. You will definitely find what you're looking 4 plus more. Excellent experience at this supermarket.
Cindy Guidry
This is a really nice store. Easy for locals to walk to. Ample parking for those who are driving. You can order ahead. The actual design and layout of the store is esthetically pleasing. The variety of items that they carry, was way more than I expected.
HONGXIA REN
The store was very clean. Excellent selection of fruit and vegetables (especially tomatoes). Fried chicken sandwich was hot and tasted good. To my delight surprise, cooked crayfish was offered at very reasonable prices in a big tub. It's fresh and tastes good.
T. Gafford
Wonderful marketplace. This store has the inventory of a large grocery store confined within a small area. The parking is exceptionally tight. Large SUVs would have a hard time maneuvering within their parking lot.
Tony Apperson
We went here our first day in New Orleans because of course we needed to stock the fridge and it was pretty close to our air b n b. We walked here in the pouring rain so I was pleased to find out when we got here they had mostly everything we would need from groceries to liqour and even some hot food. Service was alright kind of slow and not alot of personality but then again it's just a grocery store hahah...
Steve Nieckarz
Traveling from out of town and needed to find a grocer with variety. This was it! Fabulous selection of, well, everything. The staff working on the evening of September 28th were all friendly and courteous. If you have a sweet tooth, their multi-layered cakes look wickedly delicious. I may have to see if I can freeze one and take it home on the plane.
Sylvia Lin
This supermaket has lots of selection. I like they mark "Local" for local product. Most hot food run out by dinner time even when the supermarket is not closed yet. The entry from the non-parking side is hard to find for first timer.
Star Bailey
We love this store and the fact that it’s so Louisiana. They have a great selection and all the local favorites too. When we were working in orange beach Alabama, I had thanksgiving dinner catered by the store there and everything was fabulous! If I lived near one now, I’d do that every year. They also carry crazy things like “king cake” flavored soda and about 8 different king cake cakes. There is also a really fun newsletter that’s online with recipes and the origins of the fun local foods they carry.
Blue Lilly
The items are all great. But quiet expensive compared to other places like Walmart. Same items vary from $2-$3 in price increase. But they have things that are not available in Walmart.
Joshua Cousin
When I'm working this is my go to spot for lunch. It's a very busy Spot. Every employee I've encountered was very friendly. It is a great place to buy your wines and spirits, and if you like fried frog legs, they have those too. Oh man if you go there for breakfast, there's a guy who makes omelets dressed how you like it.
Grace Chen
Cute grocery store to shop local food especially crawfish. We came and visited during Memorial Weekend. The first time we went around 10pm and all the food were gone. We got there around 3pm the next day and luckily we bought the last two bags of crawfish. It’s very cheap and fresh. The flavor is not that strong like the restaurant but definitely worth it. We bought 11.5 lbs for about 20 something bucks. So come early!!!
Bhavna Goyal
We were staying a block from this place while visiting NOLA. The market is clean and spacious and has everything you might need. It reminded me of Whole Foods. There is vast selection of grocery items and good range of organic produce.
corpus FUSION
This grocery store is a saver. It's right smack in the middle of the French Quarter where you need a Coke, or food to buy for your night snack back in your hotel.
From the looks of it on the outside, it doesn't look like it's a fully packed grocery store but it is. It's like Whole Foods. It's stocked up even has a meat butcher in the back.
It's a great grocery store at the location much useful and needed for travelers and tourists.
Michael Lee
Nice grocery store with hot food section. Food cheap but doesn't taste good.there seems to be a lack of diet beverages in this store. Deli has average selection of meats. If you are tired of restaurant hopping and can cook at home this is a near enough grocery to the hotels to go to
Michael Cloke
Rouses is a little above average. Other grocers have better (though limited) products or better service, but higher prices. A few grocers have limited products, and terrible service. Rouses is consistent.
Carlos Babcock
Great marker with a huge selection of prepared foods, Extensive wine and beer selection. They also have dry aged beef as well. Great neighborhood store and Louisiana owned.
Matt Alvino
Vacationing in the area and my wife wanted to go to Whole Foods... I said we didn’t drive 10 hours to go to Whole Foods so we went here. It was a very pleasant surprise. We were both glad we did something more local.
Very cool interior. Felt like a fancy grocery store but didn’t have that air about it. Very nice meat, seafood, and deli counters. Parking lot was tiny, but even around 5 PM on a Saturday it had a few spots open.
Will Langston
Great grocery store, easy to get to from the Hyatt. The staff are great. I made a late night run last night and even though the bakery counter was closed, the woman working there served me an amazing mini pumpkin cheesecake. The fruit tart is also great. I had the Cuban sandwich sliders (they lasted for two meals, so that was a real $5 bargain) and they were super tasty. Couldn’t find them again. So maybe you have to get lucky. I’m writing this as a tourist at a hotel that doesn’t seem to offer a grab and go option. The stock looks typical for a grocery store besides the quick eats.
William Bernard
Great grocery shopping experience at Rouses! Products are of great quality, staff is very friendly, and this location is always clean and well organized.
Ogads Way
Excellent.....Chef Lawrence makes the best omelets. I was blown away by the breakfast selections as a whole....fresh fruit, warm grits, French toast just to name a few options. The prices are so so affordable......you can feed the entire family of 4 for under $25. Don't forget the salt and pepper and you are all set.
Greg
Great selection and freindly people. Breakfast bar and salad bar were very tempting too.
Julia Lange
This Rouses has better selection than most others. The wine selection is very good, but the beer/cider/seltzer collection is a bit lacking. Fruits and veggies are hit or miss - and difficult to predict. I just went and could not find large watermelons, cantaloupe, or asparagus. Not a huge deal, but don't go here if you want reliably fresh produce. They also don't have a large Asian or Hispanic selection, or condiment selection so choose somewhere else if you need these things.
Kelly Crenshaw
In town for a few days and hopped in here to grab a few things. Loved the store. The quality of the items seems to be above par. The layout is a little funky but seafood at the back was great. The product fruit was fresh and very well priced. All and all loved the place
Erria Daniels
Very convenient location to our hotel! We have had to make quick trips here for the last two nights to be sure our kids had hotel snacks. The Strawberry shortcake was excellent! My husband even got a rack of BBQ ribs last night. My daughter said her chicken sandwich was high quality. It reminds me of the Publix in SC but cheaper prices.
Colleen S
Absolutely fabulous market with so many great items!! Deli, bakery, salad bar, hot foods, specialty cheeses, large wine/alcohol selection, and so much more!! Great place to shop!
Dali La
I was very happy with this local store. I loved the way it was set up and displayed. Fresh food and produce, just a nice little grocery store.
Jason Giaccone
We love this Rouses!! Super friendly staff.
This is one of the "hidden gems" to stop by before a Saints game, Pelicans game, or a concert at the Superdome or Smoothie King Center.
Thanks Rouses.
The Giaccones
Harvey Schonfeld
Large supermarket as close to the centre as you are likely to get, stocks most things you are likely to need. Not as cheap as Walmart but you can be choosy on what you buy. Lots of space and not busy early on a Saturday morning.
amirah muhammad
Nice supper market. It had everything you can need or want, but had flies hanging around the hot food bar. I did mention it to the staff but brushed it off as an ongoing issue.
Ty Anderson
Heavy lines in the cashier lines , Ms.Cieane came out and ask if anyone wanted to check out in the coffee bar. She was really being a team player. 5* service
monirul islam
Good place for groceries.
But if you are from south asian like me, you will not get some regular producs. As they are available on another state.
Kalyn Richard
Pros:
Good options for hot food and deli foods
Coffee bar
Organized store
Bathrooms clean
Cashiers helpful and respectful
Cons:
Homeless people always hanging around and panhandling
Security officers always on their phone and not doing patrols
Some managers are rude and inconsiderate
Hot food can sometimes be mis packaged or expired
Roy92983
Great shopping experience for me and also great customer service.
Sabrina B
Christian & Shawn from the bakery department are the absolute best! They were very courteous and saved the day with a last minute cake for my brothers birthday. The cake was absolutely delicious!
Alpha Chaotic (AlphaChaotic)
Wow, this is such a gorgeous store; in such a convenient, albeit unexpected location! The store is easily-navigated and offers an impressively-wide range of products sure to satisfy any shopper's need, irregardless of their specific dietary & nutritional requirements.
Natnael Argaw
Large shop. Hard to miss anything consumables in this grand shop. Very few hundred meters from the prominent hotels of New Orleans
10wolfer
Huge, decent prices, takes getting used to the layout due to shape of space, but awesome as most of the chain are.
Andrea Levesque
Large grocery store. Well stocked with lots of variety. All the employees were friendly and helpful.
Brittany Vruwink
Great store with a lot of options. Much better than the other location near bourbon street
Steve P
The supermarket of dreams - seriously so much here to see and taste and buy, and all very quality as well. Impressed with their diverse offerings, especially when it comes to prepped food and coffee. Service also matched the quality of the store, and much can be said about the cleanliness and layout too. Very accessible too.
Norm Leonard
Nice, fully stocked grocery store with good produce and a nice meat/seafood counter.
william guillory
The employees at Rouses care about your needs and exceed all expectations of accommodations that make it an easy pleasant shopping experience
DEIRDRE SLACK
Great New Orleans food! I’m from New Orleans and live in Texas. When I come home I make this one of my stops $5 omelets made to order😋
I believe my NOLA grandma is here! …
Missus C
Very large selection, produce was all lovely. Hard liquor, spirits and wine available at this location, with lots of selection. Pricing is fair for product, but higher prices than what one would expect at Walmart. If you're on a budget, this may not be the store for you.
Excellent brie & camembert selection
C Yager
Very nice full service grocery store, great beer selection, friendly staff
Lisa Decker
Loved this market. Everything you need very large selection of anything you need, including a wine and hard liquor selection. The butcher was so very nice and helpful.
Jin Hua Lu
Very nice market. Five star because $5 for 3 tacos!!! All loaded up with fillings you choose like chicken, guacamole, sauté veggie etc.
Christa Champ
This store was awesome! It had everything we were looking for. They have beautiful selection of produce, meat, cheese, a salad bar, pre cooed foods (ribs, chicken, etc.), beer, and wine. They even sell liquor. Its the perfect place to shop!
Marcus Kirby
Great place to stock up on creole ingredients before your return home after visiting NOLA
Rosario Williams
A quick walk from Hyatt hotel. I'm visiting from Los Angeles and the store is equivalent to a Trader Joe's. Tons of variety, reasonable prices and a LA Croix vending machine @ .50 cents each. LA we need such a thing!
Star Anderson
I love Rouses! Their Customer Service staff is the Best. That is always the shortest line, because they can only take a few customers at a time, as not to block the front entrance. The guys are friendly, and they are Always smiling. The Butcher will make sure that whatever cut of meat you want is at your disposal. The flowers are fresh. Some prices can be challenging, but the sales are great. All things are negotiable! They have some of the best and the freshest sushi!!! The Bakery always has a lot of options. I even purchased 4 carry chairs from them, the price was amazing. The outside patio area is really open with lots of seating. I do miss the open salad bar, but I thank them for putting their customers first by having everything wrapped and appropriately labeled, adhering to the climate that we now find ourselves in.What more can I say? I REALLY love this Store!
Paul Vingiello
Love this place!! Great place for local seafood, a super variety of beer, cheese, pastries, liquor, wine, health foods and a great deli.
Nadine Younger
Great store. Excellent variety of products and well-stocked. Friendly staff.
shane miller
Great grocery store, was a little shocked to see people eating boiled shrimp and crabs and drinking a 20 pack of bud but hey it is New Orleans
Saint Dávila
This grocery store has a yummy deli and market
Lori Mairs
They have make your own salad which was very well organized and clean. The prices were cheap and the fruit was so tasty. They even sell hot food to go.
Seth Peterson
Convenient grocery store with a good selection and good prices. Plus, it's locally owned!
Br3337y
Confusing layout, but solid selection for an urban grocery store. More beverages scattered in the back of the store, but no caffeinated bubbly water. We had to go across the street to CVS to track it down.
boyongame33_YT
I had my daughter double layer birthday cake bake here. It's was beautiful and good. So fresh. And I love everything about Rouses
Derrick
Great neighborhood market. I found some great buys and some items not found in most stores.
mo elect
We have some of the greatest deal out of any supermarket I've ever went to
Georgina Holzmeier (Topic Paranormal)
Excellent neighborhood grocery store. Limited liquor selection. Fabulous delivery service
ILOVE 2GARDEN
This was a fun place to visit, the variety of spices, hot sauce, body spray, hand sanitizer, and their specialty products are well worth a gander! Not overly priced 👍🏼 …
Shawn D
Seems to have all that you'll need. Wide variety of ready to eat food was well.
Walt Haste
Everything you need and more, always fresh. Great salad bar and lunch bar.
David Honeman
The store is a gem downtown and is a busy hub of activity. It is so easy to find something really good for lunch; great selection and at whatever price point you want. You can do all your shopping there or find a nice gift. Rouses has some tremendous meats usually and caters the best to locals. I've found parking fairly easy when I have driven there.
Marisa Fate
Love it. Wish this grocery store chain was located in southeast Alabama.
Sundaria Jackson
This grocery store is super unique l! I’ve never seen anything like it before it’s beautiful
David Florentine
Wack setup floor plan but overall gets the job done. Way better than Walmart grocery..
Greg Wilde
This is a very good meeting place. They have a large selection and it’s great location.
Drahcir Rehctah
Good choice to catch up with an old friend while picking up you groceries. Very wholesome, clean ,polite, and we'll organized. Perfect location in the middle of quarters
Jacquea Mae
Cool grocery store, offering tasty fruit and so much more at a decent price. The staff were very helpful!
Velna Wells (PynkBabee)
I ❤️ this store 🥰🥰 I try 2 get here whenever I'm in the city 🙌🙌.... Crawfish we're $3.49 if U bought 10lbs or more... I had 2 bags and the attendant tried to tell me that she couldn't ring them up together... HA!! It's the EXACT same item.... She rang them up together ✌️✌️😉😉 …
Kayla VanNostran
Kind of confusing layout, but very well stocked with a good variety of products.
Sam Baker
Great great selection, friendly staff, very reasonable pricing and spotless cleanliness!
Eric Lormand
It's about the best place to go in the French quarter it's expensive very expensive really have a lot of real good food there big variety but but outside is the price
Eddy David
Love this place always have what I am looking and it's not crowded like Sam's and walmart.I can go down an isle with out having to wait 5 minutes to get something. The meat is good also.
Catheryn Major
They have so many Rebel Ice cream flavors!!!❤❤❤❤
Alie A
Love frog's legs every Friday and sometimes Monday
Michael Patrick
In the Market District customers could be commuters going to & from work, new area high rise residents, visitors in hotels, or Dome & Arena attendees.
The store was retrofitted within the former site of Pontchatrain Cadillac. Its layout is unique. This make it a good place to wander around while finding unique & unexpected things.
Busy periods are weekdays around lunchtime & after work hours. That's a disadvantage if you are in a hurry, but great for people watching.
With garage parking available, you can avoid NOLA's brutal summer sun and heavy frequent rains. All in all, it's got a lot to offer shoppers.
John Hritz
A Rouses with a much larger selection of things than other locations. My only complaint is there's almost always a group canvassing about different things outside right by the door.
Danielle Russell
Pleasant shopping experience at this location.
Hof cla
Really nice market with lots of hot Togo items.
Bruce Moreland
First time in there. Here visiting New Orleans. Layout was a bit confusing for me, but went just after driving 13 hrs
Chris Miller
Clean local grocery store with a nice selection of products.
Ashly Lewis
Best way to make groceries ever. Easy to find helpful employees without having attitudes. Amazing selection, and prices are usually good. Excellent sale prices on LOTS of useful things.
Rick To
Preferred this supermarket to walmart. The cooked seafood section was great.
veronica duplessis
Based on location their food is always fresh.
There's a high demand from CBD area.
The agents are welcoming and friendly
Jon Amdall
Great place to grab groceries, not too far from the mass of hotels near the French Quarter. I guess this is in the Warehouse/Arts district. Really nice place though, reminds me of Central Market.
Andrew Jordan
This place made my trip to New Orleans! It was right around the corner from my hotel and was loaded with everything you could possibly need. It being crawfish season, I was excited to get some during our trip. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the employees cart out a gigantic white cooler filled with boiled crawfish. I loaded up a bag and devoured them with the family back at the hotel. We loved it! We loved it so much we went back for the next two days! Great market! A must if you're in town. Especially if there's crawfish! We miss you Rouses!
Camella Marcom
Such a nice place in downtown New Orleans! They have a little of everything!
montrell clark
Awesome market and not too expensive at all. I would recommend this place to all that are staying in a hotel to grab a few things.. from drinks to food everything is on point
Jaqueline Santana
You can find almost everthing here! Super nice and clean.
Tim Toepp
Quite a selection and not over priced
Jhon Osorno
I liked this store better that fresh Market or whole foods. Soo cool
Omnia
Nice size rouses for downtown. Went in with a coworker for a breakfast omelet. It was made hot and fresh to order. There is seating to eat there. Have spring water ice which is a plus for me.
Sabrina Bourg
Their bakery is my number one go to! Best cakes ever!
miguel chavez
Nice places , two cannolis, one with chocolate one with nuts and a salty caramel pastry. ,delicious : the beautiful young girl was so nice and helpful 👍 and when paying (since we had only the pastries) a lady open an other register for us to pay: very nice since there were 2 people with 2 full grocery carts . Thank you the pastries were delicious
April Victoria
I just moved to New Orleans... & let me tell you whattt. You miss that grocery store when you leave LA. Go to the bakery and get a Gentily cake!
Edward Roach

Deb Hutchinson
Wow. Nice store with large selection of fresh foods. They also had a made to order omelet station, and fantastic deli. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Sara Land
Perfect Downtown location! Plan where you can park as a suggestion.
David Jones
They had everything I was looking for and more!
Mark Loftus
What a place!! The prepared food looked fabulous. Got necessities for the week. Couldn't pass the bakery case without stopping. Some local brews to boot..
Ana Brenes
If you work downtown, they have a great lunch selection.
Chelsea Bussey
I get a lot of cakes for my coworkers over here. It's a convenient spot.
Ami McKinney
We are visiting for the Easter Holiday and came in for grocery for the week to save some money. They have everything you would need, even Gorilla Glue!!! Their vegetables are fresh and the bakery department is amazing! Both young ladies who helped us were fabulous. We tried the Blueberry lemon and the pistachio individual cake slices (they are big enough to share, but you won't want to). Both were yummy. The store is clean and well organized. Everyone we encountered was helpful and the prices were fair. No complaints out of me.
Katlyn Mityga
Wonderful experience. Not from the area but was looking for some things for our week long stay. Found everything I needed and more to include creamers we love, fresh fruits and vegetables, to a variety of NOLA coffee. I want to send a super shout out to an employee by the name of Michael, I think. He was restocking the eggs at 7 in the morning and made sure I had ones that were not cracked. Additionally, he was so kind when I asked if there was a creamer in stock to keep me know he had ordered it and hoped it would be in today and would save me a bottle if I would be back! Such excellent service. I cannot thank him enough. I had a great experience at the check out to with Shantel. I had brought a special bag because I had to walk a bit to get back and she was super patient and helped me pack my bags to get as much in as possible without damaging any of the groceries. Thank you so much team.
Andrew “Drew” Savage
Great place to get some local foods, large variety too choice. Open salad bar.
Belinda McGee
Good location but expensive. Round melon was @ price $2.99. When I got to the register, cashier said it's 9lbs equals $27. Who is stupid enough to pay that for a melon.
Xabier Granja
Great place! Lots of people, good atmosphere... and outside band just playing for fun! Awesome to at least walk around, admire the architecture and people-watch.
Robert Menard
Liked the market, bought snacks for the trip home.
Nick
One of my favorite Rouses, but they were almost out of eggs. Maybe it was a bad day.
Kevin Barber - Yacht Broker (Edwards Yacht Sales)
Gourmet groceries like only New Orleans can provide.
Katma
Tidy, organized, with plenty of fresh things and great covid protocols. Customer service was great and they'd actually walk you to where you needed to go instead of just pointing you in the direction. Limited selection on some things, great selection on others. For a downtown grocery store, it was surprisingly large and well stocked.
say leon
Fantastic, it has everything , and our favorite wine
Oscar Fernandez Chuyn
They make very delicious freshly made food. The place is very clean and they have a good selection of products.
Thomas Lee
Was staying 20 nights at a hotel around the corner. This place is a good alternative to costly restaurants. They offer a reasonably priced hot and cold food bar. My only issue with this supermarket is that they don't sell seltzer. If they do, it wasn't available when I was shopping. Other than that issue, I'm definitely good with shopping here when I visit New Orleans again.
Tommy Vo
Clean super market. Surprisingly cheap cooked hot food. Did not expect to find frogs here, was not bad. Cooked broiled food at reasonable prices as well
Hiroiku Kawai
This supermarket was good, because of awesome cost performance, especially wine.
Darlene Procell
One stop shop for all! The fresh fruit is great!
Raymon Kravagna
Living in the French Quarter obviously my choices are very limited on where I can go for grocery shopping. This is actually. I know the cashiers probably deal with a lot of tourist and that may explain why 95% of them are extremely rude. They don't really do anything that's offensive but they're just very unfriendly once in awhile you'll get one that's all right but that's pretty rare. They do have a lot of pre-made food ready to go so that's pretty nice and they have great burritos and pizza actually. I like the beer selection cuz I like to try different beers from around the world.
Nimesh Patel
Great location, free parking on second floor and big selection of prepared food! WiFi is not great if you going for coffee there and catching up on work or school.
Anandi Premlall
Much larger than the shop in the Quarter and not too far away. Great selection of products and sale items. Very convenient location and lines aren't long at all.
Tony Marshall
Very cool store. Just doesn't have a nice flow too it. Everything was section off making things hard to find. Employees were friendly and helpful
Mark Lewis
Love shopping here! Expensive, but great cooked choices and healthy innovative foods. Only grocery store I've heard of to have a St Joseph's altar!
Johnny Wallace
Very happy to find this store. Found items that we needed. The prices for liquor and beer were much less than some of other stores we visited.
Dean
It's not my favorite place to buy groceries. Rouses, in general have gone downhill over the past several years. However, this location is better than most that I have been to. There is ample parking. It's easy to get to. The staff doesn't seem to realize customers are there. Sure, they help when asked. But I've never been greeted or had my needs anticipated. They could a better job. Don't get me wrong. I'll continue shopping there on occasion as they are the closest full size grocery store to my house. But I can't say I'm very enthusiastic about doing so. Just saying.
Mike Hatch
Amazing deli with daily specials. Clean store with helpful staff. Just around the corner from our place made it super convenient.
Michelle Collins
I absolutely love this store and location. They have just about everything you need and more. I love the Louisiana section, with all the spices, sauces, candies and more. Can't wait till we come back to NOLA again!
Hugh
Great store love the atmosphere and selection.
Issues: sleeping homeless people in the chairs by the entrance multiple days in a row. I feel like these people could be easily escorted from the premise.
Parking lot should flow the other way in my opinion and let you out on Girod.
Greg Schlitt
We were in New Orleans for the week after Easter and stopped here to pick up some groceries after spending $100+ for breakfast the first two days! This market is great, lots of variety of fresh fruits, veggies, beer, wine, meats, and prepared foods as well. We ended up coming back 2 more times as the selection and prices couldn't be found elsewhere nearby.
Karma coming back for you
I like rouses but I got 3 birthday cakes on separate occasions that had too much almond extract in it. Who ever is baking cakes need to stop putting too much almond extract. What happened to 1 table spoon added to the cake batter. If the baker is spraying almond extract wetting the cake he or she is spraying too much of it. Ruining the whole cake ruining birthday events for me the cake is the main part no bday cake then it's not a birthday to celebrate especially when having a birthday party
Scott Kimsey
A grocery store in the New Orleans downtown area.....surprisingly well stocked, while it is not an Albertsons in Boca Raton it definitely checks all the boxes... open till 10 and the employees are helpful....produce, meat, liquor, milk....if you need more than cigarettes and a lotto ticket it's the place...
raymond Michael
Great shopping experience service is very good Great store to shop at anytime . everyone should shop here.
Pierre Blatcher
Always a pleasant shopping trip even though they were out of beignet mix for a while.
Travis Knotts
My wife says this market deserves five stars plus!!
Rita Toombs
Very clean and organized and cashier was so friendly

This place was pretty neat for a grocery store. Very friendly and stocked. Price's we're not that bad either.
MleeV “Mar”
Be careful when using side door to park and enter. This is locked from 5pm to 8am. I didn't know and had to walk almost a block to get the car (I'm disabled and use a cane), then drove around the block to get to front entrance . Carts cannot be taken outside so you must leave it by door and go back and forth to carry groceries to car. Bummer!! Other than that wonderful selections, huge store.
juli dressler
They always have what I'm looking for, and the staff is helpful and friendly. I need to find out if they deliver; that would definitely bump them up a star
David Stone
This store is just so clean! Everything is neat and tidy. Great selection as well.
Rose Enclarde
Love dis place. Fresh flowers. Any day lots of fresh produce n cooked food too .n seafood as well. Reasonable prices they even have ginger fresh n ginger in sliced with suger coating near dried fruit
Should have been honey(crystallized) WoW!! Awesome wine racks

Been shopping here since it opened, convenient for those that work in the area for passing by for lunch or when on your way home. Usually open till midnight and opens at 7am. They make pizzas, burritos, tacos and sushi fresh to order. I’m sure there’s a bakery. Huge wine section, liquors and beer. I shop here once a week and during the Covid, I have been walking there and carrying my groceries in my book bag, people usually don’t bother me, Usually.
Barry Parsons
I'm in from out of town and needed some things to get through the week. This place was close and open late so I headed over. I like it. It has a good selection and amazing prices. What I got would've been a lot more money at home. If I need anything else while I'm in town I'm definitely going back.
Cathy Dominic
They controlled the amount of customers coming to shop. They were practically open for like any day shopping, stocked really well, fresh fruits, cheeses/pkg meat, and everyone of their employees were friendly..the lines to check out weren't long, due to line control of customers wanting in, which helped and Those waiting lines moved at a fast pace
Acie Hardy
Love this place. Come here everytime I come to the N.O.
Jordan Freedman
The selection is fine. The prices on normal products were high! The hot items were great! The layout is a bit random, and the staff was less friendly than you might expect. Then again, they deal with tourists and business people, so how happy could they be?
In a nutshell, it's a grocery store. An "Organic foods" and in-store made gourmet products store. Good produce, great in-house foods, weird layout, very high prices, and the staff could learn a little about being friendly. It was fine. Not great, just fine.
San R.
Being from Europe I am not used to the AC blasting in stores, but it is freezing cold in there. Not many options for people with food intolerances or people looking for healthy snacks.
Fruit and vegetables however are great.
billy osborn
Absolutely everything you'd need with good prices! Friendly staff.
Bryan Richardson
Well kept jewel in the CBD.
Go for lunch!
Francesca
Great selection of produce and overall products. Unfortunatedly customer service is TERRIBLE
Kim Bryson
Very well stocked with grab and go food, sandwiches, salads, dips, cheese n fruits and veggies and breakfast plates (get there before construction workers for breakfast). They have pizza by slice and sushi bar. My favorite place to shop before work to stock up on frozen entrees for lunch and drinks and snacks.
david glass
Good service and a very clean store.
Jaime Patterson
Amazing selection and kind and helpful staff
Brinny Gatewood
The best Rouses in the city imo...
Bro! Did y'all know they have a parking garage?!
Thomas Krajewski
This is a great rouses location. Well appointed, well stocked, good service, good wine selection.
Maria Gabriela Español
They usually have all you need. The prices are okay. It is a clean place. I do. not like how the products are arranged I feel I have to walk a lot to find what I need and even sometimes I do not find it.
Gloria Malone
I live in Metairie, but I discovered this Rouses during the Mardi gras season, and I have been visiting it ever since. I really like it the employees are always friendly you can use the restroom if you need to, and they have a lot of interesting finds. Due to hurricane Ida I am now staying in New Orleans at my son's because I still don't have electricity at my home, and this rouses is the only thing that's open in this area and I am so grateful for them, are we wouldn't be able to find food and water. If you ever in the area stop by, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
James Pate
Good, solid grocery store with excellent variety. The produce is fresh, the deli & bakery selections are wide. Canned goods and "regular" pantry foods are offered at a broad choice of brands and prices. Bulk bin offerings are very good. Best recommendation: firemen from several stations shop there.
Wilbur Thorsen
Friendly staff... Have good stuff
Leonard Rosenfield
Nice, wide selection, clean, friendly folks.
Cristiane Drumond
Great market! It is huge inside, you will many options of every kind of thing you want. Fresh food, liquors, medicine, frozen food. Prices are good too. There’s always someone around to help if you need. There’s a special candy section that is amazing. The frozen food section offers a big variety of options. Everything is organized and the place is clean. I really liked it.
Jonathan
Clean, easy in and easy out. While I wouldn't do all of my grocery shopping here (mostly because carrying them back is not convenient or easy), it's nice to have this store within walking distance of my home. It's not as big as some of their other locations bit definitely has all the essentials.
Jessica A
I love this location. The staff is super friendly. The shelves are always stocked. My favorite part of this location is the hot food area. There is always different options and it’s made fresh daily. And it’s decently priced so you can walk to get yummy for for lunch. One of the best locations.
DejectedGoddess
Very clean and organized. However also very cold all the time so bring a jacket! They have indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy the hot and cold ready made food, as well as a microwave and condiment station!
Mitchell Vickers
Convenient location and friendly staff. I live close to the Baronne location. In my opinion, this location has the best hot bar in the CBD.
V Lopane
The best Supermarket I ever been in
Amanda Allred
Always a great experience shopping here. I almost always go late at night since they're open until midnight (5 stars just for that!) And I get off work late. Always a wonderful selection of wine, fresh produce, plant based milks, some of which aren't available in other stores, plus pretty much everything one can think of. Convenient location right in the middle of town, perfect parking, safe. Clean. Friendly staff. It's honestly my favorite Rouses to shop at.
Harry Bowmaster
Best market in the warehouse district. Amazing selection of craft beer (even vintage stuff from 2016), cheese, deli items, in addition to all the normal stuff you would expect to find in a super market. Prices are competitive, food is excellent. Added bonus: It's across from a CVS, so it's an efficient location for one stop shopping.
Eugene Roberson
My wife and I stopped in to grab something quick for lunch and go.
Even though it was near lunchtime and the store was packed, the staff kept things humming and customers moving.
The self service area was clean, food items were stocked and steaming hot; there were no long lines at the checkouts and the dining area was full of people on their lunch break.
Warren Shaw
Loved this place. Outstanding local beer selection (Blackened Voodoo, my favorite). Here is an excellent argument for living in New Orleans.
Bonnie Balmer
Visiting the area, really nice local market.
Keith C
Very personable and eager to assist, thank you all.

Fantastic Store! Amazing selection of fresh meats, fish and veg. Wonderful cheeses and deli. Huge wine and beer selections! This store has it all! The checkout staff are a hoot! Big thanks to Vick for putting a smile on my face at the end of a long day!
Elizabeth Roberts (LizzyRoseStar)
Wonderful place to walk to from the Hyatt hotel for food.
Cheyenne Suz
Great little grocery store with good selection. Plenty of prepared food items to choose from too. Beer, wine and liquor also. Even gluten free isle and many fresh produce items. Service is friendly and quite helpful. Close to many downtown and French Quarter area...Stock your hotel room and save your money for something fun!
David Pine
If you are visiting from out of town and are looking for a good grocery market. They have lots of stuff as well as some things that are hard to find at places like CVS etc. I always have a hard time finding my NOS energy drinks. Roses usually has it. They just happen to be out of original flavor this time but understandable since it is hard to find here as is. Great market though.
Paul M Calvert
Great supermarket, with an area to sit down and eat the food you have just purchased. They age their own beef instore, make their own cakes and even cook their own crawfish. The extensive salad bar is very popular and busy at lunchtimes, full of local workers, so this in itself is a good sign.
Extensive selection of food and drink.
Recommended.
Josha van Reij
A lot to offer, and close to other main facilities
TL briggs
This place was so hidden. But I'm so glad I found it!!!!
It's like a mini Country Market. Great prices and they have everything.
Tons of prepared goodies, a deli, bakery, fresh produce, Bagels cream cheese and lox!!!! So yummy!
When breakfast was over $60. at our hotel the morning before. Rouses made me the star of the show when I showed up at the room with all these delicious goodies for everyone.
Thank you!!!!!
J C
Place was great! Picked up a few groceries for the hotel, The place was nice and clean and everything seemed nice n fresh, They actually have a pretty big variety of everything including sushi and hot foods!
rj mccasland
Wow this place has everything! And it's ope later than most places in the business district.. I'm staying a local hotel for 6 weeks and they ha e been a life saver
Sherman Shelby
You have to pick and choose what you want there, some product quality, some not so much.
Black Ceasar
Everytime I visit NOLA, I shop here for its: location, customer service and food selections. Great parking and easy walk from any of NO hotels. I was able to get most of the traditional NOLA foods to take back with me to Queens. However, the Turkey Tasso was not in stock. I even traveled to Rouses on the West Bank, but had no luck. Pork tasso was abundantly available. 🤨They better have my Turkey Tasso when travel to NOLA for carnival. 😉
Karen Theriot
Absolutely one of the most beautiful Rouses. Located on Baronne in Downtown not far from I10. They have 3 entrances plenty of free parking get a fresh cup of coffee while you shop or walk to the bakery for a fresh pastry sit down at a table or a high top and relax with friends or go outside they have many tables along the front the side and the back of the store. The selection of wines was mind blowing they even have a w I ne cooler like a wine sellar beautiful fresh flowers at the florist area the deli was stacked with so many hot fresh just cooked choices as well as cheese from around the world any kind of bread imaginable the seafood looked fabulous as did the meat department smoking some ribs and a the Louisiana home grown businesses supported there was great. Healthy Organic Rouses offers it. Check their sale ads weekly cause WOW do they have some great sale prices
Kenny B
This store is always well stocked and responsive. The location is very convenient, downtown, but out of the way of cbd. traffic.
Larry Nicholas
Great place if you are staying in a hotel. Lots of variety. Wines -lots, beers -lots. Fresh cooked food, 3 tacos were $3.39 another buck or so if you want rice & beans. Even some variety type things. Prices aren't bad, maybe higher than outside of downtown. From the Hyatt, not too far, about 3 blocks. Even in this heat & humidity for this NW guy, not horrible. Neighborhood seems safe, I've walked it in the afternoon and evening.
L John
My favorite grocery in the city! Really easy to navigate and a great selection.
Mary Michelet
Love this place! Amazing fresh breads, pastries and grab and go. The only reason I have given this Rouses a 4 star in stead of 5 is Because there have been a few Times I have bought products that went bad the day of purchase or within the following two days, that is my fault, no one forced me to buy those products but they are on the shelf. And prices are higher here than at other Rouses in New Orleans but that might be due to location.
wilton thibodeaux
I always find prices good
Miss Williams
A great place to shop in New Orleans. A Very Clean and Customer Friendly store.
Joshua Akramoff
Rouses has a great selection of items not usually found around here. It seemed a little pricey but service was great and they had alot of good sales. I have heard good things but the only problem is they have bad fresh salsa selections.
Dawn Roddy
This place is amazing!!! The selection choice is absolutely mind boggling. They have all the things that the ordinary grocery stores don't have. The hard to find items are at Rouses!!! They offer a whole produce section that caters to organic and allergen free. This section also has fresh produce with no DNA crossbreeding, which is important to people with allergies
Vera Mahfouz
Cute little store that has everything you need. I wish I had gone here my first day! Ninety-nine cents for a bottle of water. I spent over $6 for two at the hotel....not happy!! Produce looked awesome and they also sell hot food and baked goods! Yogurts, meats, snacks! Go here first!! You WON'T be disappointed! There is a CVS across the street. I didn't go in there so I don't know about their prices.
Chasity J.
Great location. I am pleased with the ability to sit indoors or outdoors and dine. The music is always Louisiana cajun and creole, which adds this extra something to the store. The produce area is extremely tiny, but the wine and beer selection is extensive. I love the cupcakes from the bakery!
A Smith
Coming from NY I'm used to a lot more variety. I was kind of shocked how little they have but I understand this is a local chain. Not a ton organic or healthy options. Everything was clean and organized.
Ali mohamad
Good products. Many of th heir cashiers are unprofessional, They have no clue how to deal with costumers. For example they scan the product, at the same time they shout at each other's like they are at a bar.
Or one time it was very funny I waited for the cashier to give me my receipt instead he gave it to another customer, because he was busy talking to the next cashier.
So sad they have the opportunity to work, but no respect or slight of responsibility.
ZarkTiny
Surprisingly not not as diverse selection as any local Wal-Mart. Of course Rouses doesn't have the sq footage of a typical Wal-Mart. But I kinda expect more specialty and local items and brands.
Audrey Warren
Recently opened, this Rouses Market has a very nice selection of food and beverages (especially wine). Located close to the Crescent City Connection, this store is a favorite of mine. The employees are always very nice and hospitable. The quality of their meat is top shelf!
Living Life
Awesome and convenient! They have full course meals hot or cold, deserts, and everyday grocery items. Justice, is a great cashier. She was professional, helpful and courteous keep up the great work!!
Melanie Collins
Rouses is great for seafood, produce, and catering! I love most their catering, I just wished there was a more seamless ordering process; like, ordering online instead of having to call in or go in the store to order.
Michael J Del Toro
Very good market. Wide assortment of prepared foods, nice variety of breads, cheeses, wines, meats & general groceries. Prices aren’t too high and staff is generally friendly. A little slow at the register but overall a superior grocery store.
Bridget Montgomery
I love the food and I mostly buy my wine here
R. Roman
Rouses is located in a very exciting spot! Great convenience store.
Sharon Holland
Everything you needed bit slow and check out
Kevin Parmley
What a great market. I'm from Washington and so running into this place reminded me alot of the new seasons/ whole foods that we have up there. Great selection of meats, cheeses, wines, beer, snacks, etc.... The one thing I was slightly disappointed on was the selection of fresh produce and baked goods...other than that though. Great store! Got some of they're dry aged ribeye and cooked it up - honestly some of the best steak I have ever made!
Paul Adam
I worked here summer and fall of 2014. Wonderful experience. Samantha the cashier has the most amazing fingernails. Brian the manager makes sure everything is done perfectly all day long everyday. The aisles are narrow, but the selection is amazing. 😊 …
Huey Harrison
I have been shopping at this store for a while and there are two employees in the meat department who always provide such exceptional service, Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Rita. They are friendly, efficient and professional. Thank you ladies for making my visit pleasant and enjoyable.
red no nonsense
Awesome selection...great prices....was here on vacation and had everything we needed in a 5 min walk. Super friendly and helpful staff.
Plimpton Sedgwick
Our Airline Flight Crews LOVE Rouses Market, #46, New Orleans, LA. One could not ask for a more congenial and helpful staff. The selections are great. The prices are even better! Do you want an amazing, loaded, fresh made burrito or taco salad? Then run, don't walk, to visit Lashanda, where she will not only build you a custom masterpiece - she'll do so with expertise and and a wonderful smile. Check out Aaron when you check out at check out. If courteous and personalized service is what makes Rouses rock, then Aaron is the band's lead singer. Thank you, Aaron for leaving such a great impression. We will be back. We always come back. And you can be assured that ALL ofour fellow crew members will know about Rouses (I'm sure they already do. Smart shoppers roll like that!).
Robert Cameron
This is my favorite Rouses Market. They always have a large variety of fresh produce like portobello mushrooms and other items not available elsewhere or of lower quality (even at other Rouses). The prices are a little high for anyone on a budget but competitive with other grocery stores. Even though I ride my bicycle there seems to be plenty of parking available for all you gas guzzlers.
Marianne C
If you need a break from restaurant meals, their to-go foods & salads are great. Clean & friendly atmosphere.
Veronique McCann
awesome place! Friendly staff. They went ahead and cooked an organic pizza it their pizza oven as it was late and they were shutting down. HUGE selection of different foods and also have freshly made crawfish boil you can purchase by the pound and head back to the hotel to eat!
Robert Portillo
Nice market in downtown area. Great selection of artisan products, beer, and wine. Deli counter was nice and so was the dessert counter. They have everything you need if you want to stock your hotel mini fridge up whole on an extended stay.
Brian Whitaker
Beautiful & well organized also very Immaculate grocery store! However you will pay for it at the register! This particular Rouses is a bit more pricey than others I guess its because of the location! That's my opinion!!! Its still 5 stars because of the excellent service by the associates!!!!!!
Teneha B
Oh Rouses, how do I love thee??? Let me count the aisles...
Convenient and right there when you need that 'must have' snack while you're out and about. I love that fact that this store is a Rouses, a name you can trust and you know what to expect, branding; but obviously, it's smaller than most Rouses, but it's the French Quarters... Get in where you fit in.
The cashiers were friendly and although there was a line 5 people deep, it was reduced quickly, they work fast.
4-5 aisles are stocked full of goodies to feed your high if that be the case or for light weight grocery shopping.
It was just what I needed, when I needed it.
Bill Toye
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I'm not too familiar with New Orleans culture, but wanted to bring home some king cakes. The security guard explained the various types to me and they were great. Family and friends all loved them too.
num1lsufan
The lines were rather long last night, and an employee noticed some customers were standing in line chatting, delaying checkout. She opened up a new Lane and called me and the next customer over to check out so they didn't delay us. It was a nice gesture, and she really went above and beyond.
Tammy Medin
My husband and I were in town from MN on a conference, we made several trips down the street to the market. Each and every time the folks at the deli especially Mr Lawrence were so friendly and welcoming. Very enjoyable experience thank you.
RV Havlicek
Awesome delivery service. Arrived at hotel late on a Friday, ordered a couple bags of miscellaneous groceries and it was delivered at 8am Saturday morning. Text messages kept us in the loop at all times and all items as requested received. Really good experience.
John Zeron
For a downtown grocery this was a pleasant surprise. Nice variety and well stocked. Pretty busy, better have rested feet. Nearly every cashier was working but tlines were still long.
Alex Nic
It's a little small (extremely narrow aisles) but that's to be expected given the location. The prices are the same as other locations, so that's great for French Quarter. Selection can be a little lackluster at times, especially as far as produce is concerned, but I've never walked away without anything I needed. I come here weekly. Deli counter is great too!
Kris Lind
Good store except the pastries department is always empty from apple pies and blueberry scones. Other Rouses stores are stacked
Logan Smith
They have an excellent choice of produce, deli meats, and other assorted name-brand products. A little pricey, and some of their customers are a little less than blessed in the personality and friendliness department, but I’m overall impressed and happy with my recent experience at this Rouse’s Market.
Jim T
Love this market! Full embrace of the south whilst tossing some updated items into the mix.
Edwin Carneal
Found everything I needed. Mostly friendly service
roy madden
Great, local and fresh groceries
Fluid Bless
Have most stuff, open later than the others
Z P
Very accessible anywhere you are in downtown area.... offers good variety of grocery items, wines, and even some live plants and flowers too. Rouses also have a small area for snacks and refreshments. Parking slots are available too.
Brandon Tizeno
Great convenience since I'm staying at a hotel (via Laura evacuating); a short walk away. Larger selection; Meat/deli feels like walking through a giant cooler of salivating items. We of Lake Charles definitely need a Rouses lol.
Tanya Taylor
I had a very good experience shopping at this Rouse's today. A cashier by the name Ida was very pleasant and went above and beyond with her customer service.
David Hanson
AWESOME, GREAT STORE.....HAVE IT ALL.
Bimal Regmi
Nice place with lot of options with friendly employees. You can buy groceries and also get something to eat with very reasonable price. I didn't gave last star only for the kind of dirty walls in cafeteria and Restrooms.
Jamie Withem
Very expansive selection. A lot of local items, and a great produce section with many things I haven't seen before. Seems to have a cafeteria that runs along those inside. Noticed many locals eating their.
LJ Robinson
A great place to shop. Lots of ready made foods and salads. Fantastic bakery and cheese departments. Steam tables with hot food to go. Fresh seafood. Wonderful wine selection.
It's usually very busy and crowded.
John Pham
I liked the variety of fresh produce choices, including the availability of organic fruits and vegetables. I was able to find the canned vegetables and beans that I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I like that this place opens early at 6am.
Bonnie WhatsHerName
I live in the warehouse district so this location is super convenient at the corner of Baronne & Girod.. It’s more pricey than Breaux Mart 2 miles up Magazine St, but overall it’s a nice store with a Wide variety of many Items. Since Covid the fruits and veggies have not been fresh but yet that’s not too surprising. We get what we need from Rouses on Baronne and Overall, a I’d give this Rouses a 4,5 out of as 5,
Sincerely,
Bonnie Shubert
Pat Adams
This place is terrific! Like a little Wonder land for weary travelers. Complete with gluten free foods and a salad bar. There's a full bar as you come in, so right away you know this is not your average corner store!
Suzie Clarke
Exceptionally clean market, wide aisles and such a wonderful assortment of local foods and seafood. The smell of crawfish boiling is captivating to the senses.
Adam C
Very good supermarket-sized grocery store near hotels, produce, meats, prepared food, and alcohol. After neglecting my healthy lifestyle for a couple of days on vacation, this was a welcome heaven of 'real food.' Good selection, reasonably priced, very happy to have found it.
Worshipper Wright
Easy in and out parking. The store is wide, spacious and well stocked. The restrooms are clean. Lastly, the associates are costumer friendly.
John
Best Rouses market I’ve been to yet.
Minx M
Flew in from the East Cost for Mardis Gras. Wanted to stock up the kitchen to save on costs. Man, I wish I had a Rouses back home. The selection was fairly large and plentiful, the staff friendly and helpful. Layout was fairly easy to navigate and there was a nice offering of fresh meats, produce and bakery. I am extremely happy with my trip and would definitely return.
Marcus Stanley
We call this place "fancy Rouses". Prices are a bit steep, but the prepared foods section is stellar. Great salad bar too. Produce section is a bit lacking, and basics aren't they're emphasis it seems. Great for speciality items and dietary restrictions
Eric Williams
Store is ALWAYS clean and well stocked. Plenty of personable and professional staff. Some items a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. We love Rouses'!
Krissi Fox
This is pretty much my neighborhood grocery store, (besides Dryades Public Market on Oretha Castle Haley). They have a great meat section, always fresh and good prices. They always have sales going on. Some items are a little pricey in my opinion, but overall it's a great place to shop. Make sure you check out the bakery!!
fre H
Downtown NEW ORLEANS very good
GROCERIES.
Just Judith
My new favorite place to shop in NOLA!! CLEAN, GOOD SELECTION, REASONABLE PRICES (BETTER THAN "WHOLE PAYCHECK mkt" which I give only 4 stars).
David Finnegan
Nice, well stocked, neighborhood market
Tim Merritte
I was in NOLA for a week before I found this wonderful market. Features include; a great self service salad for $7, Coffee cuppa for $1.5, all kinds of fruit, deli, pizza, etc! Indoor and out seating, lots of parking and access. Come here when you are done with restaurants.
Alex Feldstein
Excellent selection and variety. Not too far from Canal St. and our hotel. Has a very nice cooked foods section and they even cook eggs in the morning right there for you.
Neill Fillhart
Very clean store and restrooms
Veronica Wade
I love Rouses Market! It must visit every time I am in New Orleans! The selection and hot and cold food bars are they best!
Anand Monteiro
Delicious Hot Meals which are a great value, especially compared with some of the overpriced restaurant options. We tried the breakfast omlet bar, an unbeatable deal at around $6, the taco bar (again around $6), and both were excellent and freshly cooked by a chef. In addition, they serve Pizza, Paninis and Quiches. You can't go wrong if you are looking for a cheap, quick and tasty meal
Loyita Lessley
Nice grocery store in the downtown area. They carry some foods you wouldn't expect for fair pricing.
Nina513
I'm new to the city and was told that this store is the closest grocery chain compared to a Kroger's or Meijer's, in New Orleans. The food bar is delightful, the employees are so helpful and the variety of produce is SUPERB. I could go on and on, highly recommended.
Nathan
This is the best and cheapest hot lunch in the area. Their deli is on point. They have a variety of cuisines including a rotating hot bar, a huge salad bar, made to order sandwhiches, pizzas, tacos, buritos, and sushi. It's pretty popular and can get busy but the cashiers are quick and professional.
Alan Steinberg
A tiny yet packed for of goodness grocery story in the heart of the French Quarter. The prices are a tad higher than other Rouses (well the one other I've been to) but cheaper than the tourist traps in the area. It's pretty amazing how many options in products they could fit into a small space.
Edder Zelaya
Its always fairly busy here, especially after everyone gets of work in the area. It's clean and people are very helpful and friendly. Small parking lot would be the only downside.
Leslie-Claire Spillman
Love this store! Great service from friendly employees, and wonderful selection of grocery items! They have amazing premade foods; awesome choice for a quick lunch with tons of options. They also have a killer wine selection!
Stephen Fisher
Very nice store. You can get fine wine and liquor at reasonable prices in addition to groceries. The deli was impressive and you can buy bulk grains and mixes.
Sarah Gauthier
Very lovely inside, as this used to be the Sewell Cadillac and Chevy dealership. Pretty arrangement although somewhat confusing. Nice selection of foods, especially prepared food. Friendly staff, clean facility. Only problem, lack of easily accessible parking. But it is downtown, so this is expected.
Brendan Boyko
They had these awesome shishito peppers for a great price!
Jack
The way a grocery store should be with small items available in front with King Cakes and holiday items. Great friendly staff and plenty of checkout lines, there is almost no wait on a weekend and plenty to find that is all about New Orleans!
The New Controversy
My go-to food store, mere steps from my apartment. Products are high quality. Fresh produce and meats. And, with the exception of a few knuckleheads, the employees are very helpful. It's not quite Trader Joe's but then who is?
Princess Williams
Very clean and organized. I work in the same block and it's so awesome to be able to pick up lunch from here! Plus, the prices for hot plates are less than 8 bucks!
Eric Rauert
Surprisingly wonderful grocery store. Visiting town and stopped in for some basic supplies; reminds me of Wegman's in upstate NY, which is a GREAT thing.
Toscana Navas
Best pizzas in New Orleans. Please keep those ladies that bake the pizzas forever! Everything is fresh and great prices. Best wine selection. Great desserts. Hot Cajun foot to go!
Gina Meggs
I work near this store and it has become my favorite place to grab lunch. The staff is cheerfully sassy, and they make good use of the very limited space. Prices are a bit high, but not too outrageous considering that it's in the middle of the French Quarter.
Veronica Thibodeaux
Clean, and quality produce. They also have an out of this world deli; if it weren't a grocery store it could easily be a restaurant. Exceptional selection of wine and other alcoholic beverages.
Darlene Wapegan
I had an Amazing experience today. I told an employee that I had dislocated my shoulder, and I needed help putting my groceries in two bags rather than one. Well, she spoke with her manager and carried my groceries home for me. This Rouses is on Baronne St. I will shop there always.
Benjamin A
I go to this rouses a couple times a week. Sometimes for groceries, but the real draw is the paninis they make in the back of the store. Whenever I get one for lunch, I know I'm gonna have a good afternoon. They're just so damn good.
Also, their Cajun crab dip is fire.
Angela Sigrist
I'm just visiting from the west coast. I've quickly, VERY quickly made Rouses Market a favourite place to shop. The employees are friendly, courteous and ready to help. I enjoy walking up and down thd isles to see what they sell. If I lived closer, this would be the only store I'd shop in!!
Kevin A Floyd
First visit to a Rouses Supermarket - doing a shop to get some provisions ahead of the (non) arrival of Hurricane Nate. Amazing selection of beers, and the salad bar was great too. Live Lobsters aren't something I'd normally find in my supermarket back in the UK either. Very impressive, and quite jealous that New Orleans has this, but London doesn't!
Gaela Forster
Rouse's has the top notch helpful customer service I look for. Clean store with nice selection of goods.
KERRY WATSON
your "IN STORE SERVICE" was BEYOND excellent.👍 Aaron went upstairs open the register to get me a $50 bill that I needed to put in a gift card. Juan and Isis open their cash register to check to see if they had a $50 bill.
THANKS for great people "IN your store".
NOW your phone service needs MAJOR improvement. You don't have a category for GROCERIES. your automated service KICKED me out REPEATEDLY and finally when someone talked to me they held me on hold and then DROPPED the call☹️
Savannah King
Amazing selection of all that you need, delicious store made pasta salad & French bread! One stop shop!
The Ebony Princesses
New Orleans grocery store with all of your NOLA favorite foods and locally made products, great fresh seafood, produce, bakery and deli selection. This store has a frozen yogurt bar. Great prices and nice selection of beers and liquors

Great Grocery. Shantelle at the register and Debbie in the meat deli were great! Debbie let me know about the boiled crawdads and we came back and had lunch out side on the tables. Good food and great place!
Shadow ;3
Wonderful store, placement is a bit odd since it's right by CBD, little tricky to get to it you live in like Carrollton or Uptown
Sean O'Donnell
Great selection, though it could use a bit more variety still. Most employee's are nice.
Mike Shoegeezer Miles (AhdioHore)
Due to the fact that the snap that you order up prepared and hot foods the place was essentially amazing and had eggnog on Deck happy camper here I smashed it in front of the store before loading the groceries even!😜
happy day, thank you, & Stay Blessed 🙏 …

Ms. Sheila in the floral department is exceptional. I came in needing flowers for a special event in a hurry, and she was incredibly kind and accommodating. She arranged a beautiful bouquet quickly from a few different smaller bouquets I'd chosen. Thank you, Ms. Sheila! The bow is a beautiful touch!

The sexy grocery store with seemingly infinite variety of products. Great wine selection, beer selection, find Cheese's, organic foods. They also have a big selection of natural products like soap and toothpaste and stuff like that. They have excellent hot food their soups are amazing. They also have sushi and burritos and pizza. Up on the Roof that got the school hydroponic herbs that they grow. Lots of free parking right in the middle of downtown. You can literally live there and have a quality life. Maybe I should put a bed Up on the Roof.

Nice market in the middle of town, great selection of foods, seafoods & get breakfast to go..

Great service and products 👍🏽💯 …

I could pick up soy milk here and various vegan-friendly snacks. I also grabbed some local chicory iced coffee, because Cafe Du Monde doesn't exactly cater to vegans, but I still wanted to try some New Orleans style fare.
The store was busy, but the staff was efficient. And the location is incredibly convenient if you're staying in the French Quarter. Prices weren't too exploitative either, given the location.
Ruma Sen
It was near to my air bnb. Exclusive range of fresh produce was present . Only thing lacking was fresh chicken.
Christina Gonzalez
Fast and friendly! Always clean baskets and good quality hot plates! I recommend the Creole flavored Rotisserie chicken and the sushi.
dhornjr1
First time visiting this place. Great selections and the meat is very reasonably priced. Makes me want to move to New Orleans just to shop here.
carlene bryan
This location have the best crawfish in my opinion. I travel far for them

On my recent visit to NOLA, Rouses Market turned out to be a great spot to get the supplies for our stay in a penthouse apartment. The food selection and variety had plenty of health-conscious choices which made it the only grocery shopping stop we needed during our stay.
Lavaughn
Went into the bakery to select a birthday cake & while they do not have a book of cakes to choose from, my experience was fast, friendly & fun! All I would do is go in & select one of there premium cakes! I KNOW where I'm getting ALL my cakes from now on!!!
Tiffani Alldredge
We love the deli and "ready to go" food. We can eat lunch without breaking the bank and we fit in with the locals! The staff ( especially , at the panini station- you must try the Philly cheese steak!) are so helpful and genuinely nice. Rouses for lunch. It's a tradition.
B. L. Watson, D.D.
Has alot of items. Ok if your stuck down town. You will pay for the convenience of the only store that is close. Clean well stocked. Friendly staff.
Chris Hodge
Great store in a great location. Ventilation could be a bit better. You'll smell fresh seafood as soon as you walk in the front door-even though the seafood market is in the rear of the store.
Jeneth Taylor
I love Rouses Market. Their Bakery is superb. We get all of our birthday cakes here. They have a great selection of wine. They serve lunches.
Mark Andrews
We had two large orders and Carl worked with the powers that be and got everything ready early so we could pick up and catch our 2 charter busses to Baton Rouge. All the food was fresh and delicious. Everyone on board loved it. Thanks again Rouses on Baronne for knocking it out of the park !
Sandor “Sandy” S
This location is so gorgeous and nicely appointed. There are many more gourmet and speciality items than the typical Rouses and the lighting and floor plan make this the best food shopping experience in New Orleans.
H. Dubna
Helpful staff are usually pretty easy to find and the checkout experience is pleasant. I like the choice of items. I was in and out pretty quick even though I wasn't yet familiar with the layout of this location!
Anthony Lynch
Fairly upmarket, appears to give more of its floor space to hot foods, wine and (especially) beer than most Rouse's, and has an excellent selection of all three. If you're visiting, and are looking for cheap(er) but still good food, you can't go wrong by stopping here.
Johnny B Williams
Nice market. A large selection in a small store. Limited hot foods since covid but still a good store. I just wish the employees seemed happier.
Priscilla Pittman

Great store but the neighborhood is a little shaky
Stephanie Thomopoulos, Coldwell Banker Realtor
They have everything you need. well equipt, stocked, fresh and clean
L. J. Schenck
They had most products we needed. Were filling shelves so there some blockage of shopping aisles but they allowed passage if they were in your way.
kenny green
Visited the store on Baronne 2 days ago, India was extremely helpful, came back the next day and Aaron was just as kind.. thanks for the helpful Dinner suggestions for us out of towners.
Marquavious Gregg
Best grocery store and fresh lunch too!
Aleksei Khodyrev
Great market, but overpriced a bit. It has a lot of food I never tried before tho)
Noah Atwi
Perfect grocery store for a single or small family. Good sales, helpful aisle staff, and good produce selection. The only thing that annoys me is sometimes you'll get a very helpful and friendly cashier, other times you'll get a totally disinterested and unhelpful one.
Debra Johnson
I really like this store. The variety is amazing. I took a star away because I got a slice of chocolate peanut butter cake and I tasted ZERO peanut butter in it.
cody steele
Great store, great to go food like sushi, pizza and tacos! They even have a wine chiller to get your wine cold in 7 minutes!
Jessica Comfort
Great little store in the heart of the French Quarter. It is the only true grocery store and we went there almost everyday. A good variety, including kombucha, and they don't totally gouge you!
Arthur Stevens
As always great fast friendly service.
Steve G
Fresh fruits and veggies. Great beer and wine selection. Some liquor. The whole bake chicken is unbelievable good. Four stars only because of very narrow isles.
Darlene Dixon
I was in need of a fruit salad, and found one at a good price. The bakery section looked amazing, and I liked the seating section outside the store. I also thought the employees were very professional.
Gorgeous Jay
Always a Pleasure to shop here. Always clean and organized. Employees are always welcoming and friendly 🥰🌹❣️ …
Craig Reeves
Stayed in an Airbnb a few blocks a way so this was great to have to stick the fridge during our trip. Everything you need at decent prices
Jack Valentine
This is my favorite grocery store of all time. It's like a nicer Whole Foods that isn't quite as expensive and has an even better selection of hot foods. I've come here for lunch a bunch of times and spent plenty of time hanging out on the front porch. This is what a grocery store should be
Kodaq G
I love the CBD Rouses. Carol, MichaelPatrick, Trenella and Torie are always friendly and helpful. I buy myself a bouquet of fresh flowers every 2 weeks from the floral lady. And the selection of cold single beers makes for a relaxing morning read of the paper while people watching. My thanks to everyone who has worked during this trying times.
Dan Ross
All in one stop. Groceries, liquor, wine, hot and cold deli. Pizza by the slice. Everything you need is right there with really good prices.
Nimesh Patel
This place is a unique shopping place. It's has everything you need and want in a busy downtown setting. Ample of parking and ready to eat options is plentiful. Also they do have a hydroponic garden on the rooftop.
Bill Helfand
Good selection, nice people.
Barbara Washington
The best of the best in supermarket shopping. Fresh products in every department. Great customer service for handicap, blind and all customers needing assistance. Kudos to Rouses for their exceptional shopping experience.
Gladys Jones
I bought a praline cake at the bakery that was amazing. I tried to buy coldcuts at the deli and was repeatedly ignored. There were 4 people behind the counter and not a single person acknowledged me. I wad continually ignored. They did however wait on two people that came up after me. When I spoke up I wad told she was busy and to wait my turn...
Donna Shelton
We LOVE Rouses! Daily 11-7 HOT from the pot, crawfish! CLEAN, FRESH, DELICIOUS! Cheapest price u will find. They have all the fixins to go with it. Took it back to the hotel balcony, along with some cold brew! So good!
Tim Silano
I was in New Orleans working for 2 weeks and Rouses became my one and only go to market.Being from Los Angeles I enjoyed all the regional products they carried, from coffee to meats and spices and they had a great bakery and local produce section. My favorite spot was the seafood counter,Gulf shrimp, swordfish and tuna in abundance at competitive prices. The staff are wonderful.
Marcus THOMAS
Came home for the Saints game and had to get some liquor to drown out my sorrows of our lost to the dirty birds and the referees. But I love my city! This store has everything you need.
Eva Smith
As close to Gelsons of California as possible. A lot of variety in the deli, meats and produce areas. Huge wine section, separate coffee station. Clean and well stocked. Usual service not exceptional but adequate and polite👋 …
Jordan R (J)
Always has something I want when I forget something for my lunch. Security is great at keeping the panhandlers at bay. I believe all their prepared food gets trucked in from the Barrone Rouses, and if you've ever been there you know it's the Whole Foods of Rouses stores.
Sangtawun Miller
Louisiana local grocery store. Clean, offers a decent selection of options, located in a good area so it's safe to walk around, and there is also a built-in dining area. Groceries are a little more expensive than say at Walmart, but overall, things are affordable.
Cassandra Lee
Smaller size and has most things you need, all the basics, some local specialties, craft beer. I'm not crazy about their prepared food but I never say no to fried chicken, inexpensive salad bar. A bit pricey like all the grocery stores here except Walmart, BreauxMart, Circle. I love small grocery stores!
Brandon “Navajo Owl” Martinez
It was a delightful experience walking through the store it was not run down the staff was very nice and overall I would give it a five out of five for both the tourist and locals.
Rachael Hicken
Clean, professional and great staff
Christina C
This Rouses location was my first experience with the brand. I have to say they spoiled me and set a high bar for the stores to come. The Westbank location IMO is the only other store that has come close to the excellence of this location. Rouses has completely changed my feelings of anxiety when grocery shopping, and brought back the old school cozy feel grocery stores used to have before the machine came through "WM".
Harold John
Centrally located in the CBD. Not far from the Superdome. Everything in the store looks amazingly fresh. Large selection of meats, beers, wine, and alcohol. Deli foods as well. A one stop awesome shopping experience.
Nancy Molleur
Update: I stopped shopping at Rouses because of the regularly bad behaviour but I decided to run in real quick this week, you "get it over with" and was very surprised at the turn around in the attitudes! It was like a whole new place, employees couldn't have been more kind and welcoming, thank you, I'm changing my stars rating to 5!
"Review#1"-Very rude, "silent treatment"from staff. They never make eye contact, ignore you the first time you speak to them, Except at meat counter. They purposefully buried my bread/chips under multiple cans/heavy milk cartons, smashed my expensive food. #1 rule that everyone knows is, don't pack bread/soft food products under heavy cans! This was done on purpose. Not a considerable place to shop regularly.
J. W. Rozelle
I really like Rouses, and this is the best one in my opinion. There is a huge selection of fresh fruits and veggies. Rouses emphasizes local foods so much that they have a rooftop garden.
One thing I get at rouses that I can't get anywhere else is the "no salt added" Mexican style corn chips.
Greg Cook
Rouses with a seemingly more old school feeling. Small store overall. We did find many odd/rarer ingredients that you may not expect to find in a small store like this. I’ve never done an official price comparison but this one is much cheaper than the Rouses in the quarter if your visiting and staying in the area.
Marlon Funes
Men, the store on the the CBD NOLA, it's a paradise for food, amazing wine selection and the take out lunch is a most. Parking is the only issue like everything else in the CBD. Beer selection is ideal for guys and the local delicacies are best to bring for dinner and some flowers for the lady in your heart.
Pamela Snyder
Great grocery store in a good location in New Orleans. It's not a huge place, but has a nice variety of items, which includes liquor, wine, and hot cooked meals. I usually make 1-2 trips there weekly when I'm in New Orleans.
Carey Wilson
Went shopping here while on vacation in New Orleans and I have to say it is one of the best grocery stores/markets I've been in. It's definitely not the typical store or deli. The prices are very reasonable also.
B Fiasco
Got a bottle of bulliet for less than 29 bucks, I WAS HAPPY
Cynthia Christophe
I really had a great experience.! Despite the long line they really had great customer service.! They also had a wide range of foods.! I would recommend this place to anyone.!

Good quality food and service
Pete Isacks
Modern Day go to for everything! The ENTIRE Staff is beyond helpful, they are terrific!
Julieanna Richardson
My friend and I were in the french quarter on vacation and I wanted him to try a strawberry cream cheese kingcake. We grabbed the kingcake box labeled strawberry cheese cake only to get it to our motel room and find out it was labeled wrong and was bavarian. Other than that it's the nicest store in the area
Marina Vazquez
Miss Carol she is one of the managers!
Greate service when I was shopping at the store!
Unfortunately I have not being able to get there because the Virus that’s going on in New Orleans

Sincerely

Only market really in the business district. A complete store with good prices and everything you would expect in a Rouses. No parking except on the street. But easy walking from anywhere in the business district. Convenient and glad it is here!
Raymond Joseph
I have a great time shopping there the cashier was very nice to me, I like to sit down eat my lunch and look at the TV something, I Love your salad but Rouse market you could bring down the price on your salad but $1.00 Dollars, for people who 60 years and older and keep your restroom cleans. I give Rouses the FOUR ☆☆☆☆
James Duffy
Great local supermarket always playing music well suited to New Orleans. Good selection of fresh produce and dry goods including bins of sweets, grains and pulses etc. Staff always very friendly.
andréa j woods
My favorite grocery outing in New Orleans. great selection of everything we need no matter what food preferences you may have. Beautiful wine and beer choices too
Eric aka CajunK9
Live near New Iberia and have been going to Rouses for years in Youngsville until 3 weeks ago when they finally opened a store in New Iberia. Have NEVER had a bad experience at any Rouses! Everything is the freshest around from seafood to salads...would highly recommend! While the prices may be a little higher than Wal-Mart, the shopping experience more than makes up for that! If you ask an employee where an item is located they will stop what they're doing and bring you to it. Try that at Walmart! Last time I asked for something at Walmart they just bobbed their head in the general direction and said over there. Friendly and professional staff with a very clean store.
John O'Connell
Very convenient location in the CBD. Trying to find a tasty and affordable lunch? Come here for the burritos or tacos. You won't be screaming best Mexican food ever but it will leave you satisfied. Service is typically good and you go through check out quickly but I've been around when co-workers cuss eachother out. Those awkward moments and un-modestly priced groceries are why i wouldn't rank rouses 5 stars.
Joe Rawley
My go-to place for groceries in New Orleans. Yes, you’ll pay more than Walmart, but in return you get excellent produce, better quality meat, and it doesn’t take 30 minutes to check out. Plus, the store’s commitment to local seafood is exactly what south Louisiana needs. Not even Whole Foods does that.
Emily Clarrey
I loved this store! We dont have one where I am from and I wish we did! The store was very clean and neat! And so fun to look around at! Prices were great!
Alicia Renee aka Blue Eyes
Amazing store! Everything and I mean literally everything you want or need or not even know that you need it'll be in the store LOL great staff, employees, and produce! :-)
