This little market tucked away in the Mid City/uptown neighborhood is my favorite place to grab some quick food for the soul. I mean the hot food they make is top notch. Not to mention the meat and seafood counter staff are amazing too. Each time I go there I find some new local food that I end up falling in love with. Don't forget to support our local businesses!

Omg. The fried fish is amazing. I had never eaten from a grocery bar before and had heard for years that fish was delicious. The staff is so friendly. I have been going back every week since introducing it to my mom.

Prices are significantly higher here than most area groceries, and checkout can be incredibly slow depending on who showed up for work that day. Selection is pretty bare bones so hopefully you are not shopping for anything unusual. Perhaps the weakest section is Produce in that regard. The prepared lunches and self-serve meals tend to be their strong suit. I think lots of chains are moving in that direction due to higher profit margins.

As many of the previous reviews state, it is pricey. The food stations are really great. I do appreciate their produce section for the sake of beets, although rather small.

Very small inside but i love this little store. I love the salad bar. Don't care too much for the hot food bar. The seafood is really good. Also love the fresh deli and the bakery. The prices are higher than usual on most items. They always have the brand of water i drink in stock .

The grocery store is very small and compact. I was surprised to see the hot food bar open, and was excited to try some of the food. Except it seemed I overlooked the small sign that says you need to let one of the employees get the food for you. So you need to call someone to assist you, walk with you around the food bar and point to what you want and how much of it you want. The "to go" sandwiches looked to be a better price value. Fresh fruit and vegetables look to be of good quality, but expensive. My recommendation would be to go to wholefoods market to buy fruits and vegetables, better quality and comparable or better prices. Overall the food was ok, but don't have to go back. I understand about the CDC protocol about food bars, clean places, etc., and I understand some people would not mind, they actually prefer the system Robert's is doing to handle their hot food items, and I wouldn't mind going back because of the protocol they are using. I'm just not going back because of the food items are not what I prefer.

A small market that has a wide variety but it's priced a bit high. But we live only two blocks from this small supermarket so when we need that one ingredient to make the perfect dish - Roberts is the best option.

Normally a fine store, a little expensive compared to other options. During these corona-times they have gloves available for using the hot food self-service and staff are attentive. It is a compact store but most everyone was cautious and I had a nice uncomplicated shopping experience.

While this is the closest market to me, I don’t need to venture farther. The bakery has amazing quality - doberge, cakes, etc. The chicken salad is Eat Fit approved and delicious. When I look for something I think they won’t have (red lentils), I’m usually happy to find it. Liquor is decent as this store has a small footprint. And the employees! Friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful. Thanks Robérts!

I always enjoy my trips to Roberts because the staff is so friendly and kind. They have a decent hot food bar for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a salad bar. Although they don't have as great of a selection for groceries as larger stores, they have all of the essentials, plus a PJs coffee shop! They also have some gluten free groceries available for those in need.

The people who work here make this place. They are always willing to go out of their way to show you where some obscure item resides. The cashier gals are friendly (sometimes humorous) and efficient. Down to the basics, this grocery is increasingly realizing how much people want vegan and non-GMO products. At affordable prices. (Ya listening, WF?). Word to the wise...Friday evening is an annoying traffic jam in the aisles.

It's conveniently located and easily accessible by bus or streetcar as well as within walking distance in the uptown area. However, it is the only grocery store in this area. It's small but they do offer a wide variety of foodstuffs. It is on the pricey side though so expect to spend more than other grocery stores.

Amazing salad bar really good prepared foods. It's kind of a cramped place. And they don't have a huge selection. Also they have a coffee stand in the front but you can't go there you have to go all the way around and wait in the checkout line to get a cup of coffee. Very annoying. A very angry manager and a staff that seems like they've never worked in a store in their life.

Selection is fair for a smallish grocery store but if you're looking for variety in some healthier items, good luck. There's no variety in tofu for example and very little with many other vegetarian or health foods. The employees are helpful and friendly and there's rarely a long line

Great to stop in quickly for last minute groceries and dinner plates. We do most of our weekly shopping elsewhere because it would get a little expensive to do it all here, but Robert can't be beat for convenience in picking up last minute and forgotten items! Even weeknights around 5 the lines move pretty quickly for how many people are there.

The people who work here make the day. Clifford and Alise are particularly kind. It truly feels like a neighborhood shop. As a vegan, i can find everything i need. There is a significant foreign foods (for NOLA) selection. Appreciate the weekly specials, for sometimes it can be pricey. One can get coffee or fresh food by the pound made on-site. Such an important part of the neighborhood.

It is normally crowded here. The aisles are narrow and you will have better luck navigating the store with a handheld basket instead of a push buggy. The staff is generally helpful; however, I was refused service when requesting a money order using funds from a card as well as cash. The same woman had helped me in previous visits when I would make the same request. Then she all of a sudden tells me she can't help me this one day. I went back a couple days later and a different employee was more than happy to help me with my transaction. I'm not sure what the issue was, but I avoid that one employee whenever I do patronize the store.

They are killing it with the carrot cake in the bakery and the sufficiently seasoned fried chicken and homemade bread pudding at the hot bar. Everyone is nice and helpful. I always like the prepared food in the cold section at any Robert’s. My favs are the stuffed shells and crawfish étouffe over white rice.

I like this little store for grabbing a meal fresh cooked or fresh ingredients to cook one. It's great for day to day grabs, but not really too much for heavy grocery shopping though.

I visit this place on an almost daily basis. For the size, it really covers the basis. Uptown and River bend esentrics meander up and down the isles like Dawn of the Dead. The steaks are a little expensive, but really good. The guys and girls on the check out counters is what keeps me coming back. I love being called "Bo".
