Reviews of Nesbit’s Poeyfarre Street Market
The perfect micro grocery store for all of my immediate needs. Super friendly staff and I love how clean it is. Much better than many stores of similar size—they always seem to have what I want.
Nesbit's did a great job of fixing the issue I had with some of their pricing. Turns out the items were mislabeled so they reimbursed me for the trouble! Nick Nesbit was super courteous and I really appreciate the effort he went through to make it right.
Absolutely wonderful! Friendly and professional staff! Great service! Highly recommend.
Locally owned business, they always have what I am looking for. Convenient locations and helpful staff.
I certainly look forward to my visits to Nesbit's on Poeyfarre! Their evolving selection is a joy to shop (their organic selection is top-notch) and the smiling, friendly customer service I receive here is second to none! 👏
Pro Tip: Their espresso shots are LIT! ☕ …
I love this place. The staff is charming, and pets are allowed. It is very convenient, and they have what you need for a quick shop. They have cooked food that is very good ( I love the cease salad and nuts salads). It is more expensive than a supermarket, but hey, this is a small shop made for quick and convenient purchases. I love that you can sit and drink or eat.
It is a small little convenience store market. Has beer and liquor in store. Close walking distance to Hilton Garden Inn convention center.
I love their king cakes! Everyone should go line up for one!
The food is really good. Great wine selection
The employees working 5/19/21 went above and beyond to make us some espresso right before closing to cap off a great night with our friends. This store is clean, great staff, good beer selection and great coffee. Wish we had something like this at home. Thanks guys!
Super Amazing staff and selection! I am very very surprised in a great way! They are spot on with choices and option! I strongly recommend this place! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly!
I always encounter a friendly staff. I enjoy the praline brownies they stock from KDNolaTreats
Such a cool little store! Make sure to check out the local Beer selection. Saved so much buying here rather than a bar.
I love you guys being here and value you servicing the neighborhood, but I just walked into the store and three people are in there without masks, so I turned around and walked out. Won’t be back in until you have your staff more on point. 😡
FOLLOW UP: The owner messaged me privately letting me know how serious they're taking the situation about mandating mask wearing and that they have purchased masks for all shoppers to wear if they don't have one. I really appreciate the follow up! I hope it's better the next time I shop.
The best! Great service. Lovely atmosphere. A wonderful Manager in Cheyenne. Great products. Friendly, but not at all stuffy. Good wine. Very fine liquors!
Cute little market with good prepared foods and a really good variety of snacks. The people working there were all super friendly and helpful. Wish I lived in the neighborhood so I could stop by more :)
This is an amazing little family style market! Its like going back in time to the days when you walked down to your local market (normally on the corner) and they knew who you were. I wish we had more of these where I live and just in the world.
Very cordial and helpful staff. Set among apartment buildings and busy adjacent streets; without flashy signage, this market seems like a hidden gem. Plenty of outdoor seating; one table inside. Has pretty much any and everything I could think of needing from a market. Some of pricing may be higher than larger grocers, but the convenience is worth it in my opinion. Picked up a small Americano. Although it isn't a complex drink, it tasted great and prefer it over some of the coffee chain stores.
Worth checking out.
Great place for a quick stop. Everything from decent beer and liquor to good fresh coffee and muffelettas. All toothpaste shampoo and various sundries available. Obviously, you do pay a bit extra for the convenience, but that's to be expected. I have a place nearby and go there often. Staff is very friendly
I want to be transparent here. A while ago, I noticed someone who works here do something I didn’t agree with and I previously wrote a poor review. That said, the review was based entirely on the actions of one person outside of the store, and had no bearing on the market, or their services. Since then, that man has sincerely apologized and made it right. I actually really enjoy this little market that has a good variety of beer, snacks, ice cream, and even yummy king cakes during carnival. Do yourself a favor and check out Nesbit’s Market on Poeyfarre.
Really love the place but today I was treated quite rudely and definitely would not want a visitor to our city to think such was the norm maybe that's what's meant by neighborhood grocery I use to think it meant something much different. Crazy how quickly a simple think like customer interaction can change someone's view and actions. You can tell the amount of effort someone put in to design and stocking Nesbit's and was so happy upon walking up to it today. After leaving though all that just seems to highlight the negative interaction and I hate that such is a loss to myself just like it is for other customers who recieve such.
Nesbit's is a favorite spot for me to shop. There are two other spots in NOLA and it's one of my first finds when I moved here from L.A.
A tiny grocery store with specialty grocery store prices. Think of a store that you saw at a beach that you traveled some way to and add a cafe. Its kinda like that. Its fine in a pinch or grabbing lunch during your hour break in the CBD, otherwise hit a different place.
Lovely little store. Has coffee, muffins, produce, dairy, various waters, dry goods, wine cheese. Everything you need. Sweet staff. Walked here from Lowes hotel. Got alittle lost at the five points where you need to veer slightly left at Ascunsion.
It's a perfect neighbourhood bodega. Got all the essentials, good fresh snack bites and coffee. Staff is fun and nice. I went there 50 times in 4 days.
Gem in the heart of downtown New Orleans! Great selection of wine and beer, ready made meals are delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Who wants to go to wal mart and wait in line when you can go here and have a friendly face.
Love this place. Good selection, great quality, fair price
May be a bit pricey but that shouldn't surprise you when in a big city. Everything from premade sandwiches to laundry detergent and cold medicines. Sandwiches were cheaper than at the convention center and better tasting
This place has a little bit of everything, from fresh and organic food to locally made products from the area. You definitely will enjoys shopping here.
So many wonderful choices in such a little shop. We had a coffee and sat on their porch in the sunshine. Special time.
Not so cheap, but has a little of every thing. I was in a hostel, waking to the conference carter every day. Only market around, and they had small bottles of shampoo and conditioner.
Super cute store & location
Great store. Amazing staff that is always in a good mood. Tremendous selection of wine and beers. The best part they are open late.
This Market is really awesome. They had everything I needed on my list. It has a great neighborhood vibe too.
More pricey than walmart but why would anyone expect otherwise in the middle of downtown?! Considering the limited and expensive real estate location, this place is great.
So much stuff in a great location. Everything you need.
A little bit of everything. Very convenient. Helpful staff
Great selection of snacks and basic food needs. Offers to go lunches and a variety of other things.
Hidden little gem of a convenience store. Has everything you need from such a small corner store, and in a perfect location.
Small, boutique style downtown market with atmosphere, outdoor tables, and an espresso maker!
Very pricey and very few options for fresh produce. However, if you are looking for chips, ice cream, wine, or beer you can find it here.
A bit pricey, but a great location and tasty items.
Local, convenient, close, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you get the chance..
Well stocked little store!
Awesome family owned business. Convenient location for people in the warehouse district.
A great little place to pick up some food, coffee, pastries,.
Upscale grocery store. And yes there are fruits inside.
Nice neighbood storw in the warehouse district. Good selection for such a small space.
Short walk from the hotel. I was able to get what I wanted for now.
Quaint tucked away and homie a good place to grab Provisions during your stop-off in New Orleans
Eclectic selection of nice food. Doesn't accept EBT.
They've got coffee, too, though they don't show up on a local search for coffeeshop.
This place has everything you might need. Convenient location, but it is a bit pricey.
Nice, little hip grocery store but overpriced.
My favorite neighborhood market. The owners are fantastic people!
Wonderful store, service and prepared food
This one is bigger and better than the Julia St. location.
Really nice place staff very courteous and helpful.
Great staff & Owner! Always friendly & helpful!
Absolutely charming! Love stopping in for a quick run!
A little pricey but convenient.
Great store! Great location! Great employees!
High prices, long waits when checking out.
Convenient & upscale but pricey.
Very convenient. It had everything I needed.
Good market with decent selection!
Kind of expensive, but a great atmosphere!
Love it, good prepared food
By far the best variety of water
Not cheep. But nice
Ready meals + all you need!
Items too high for local tenants
It's good
Has everything you need..
Great salads
This place is fate!
Home town feeling
Friendly
Fun little market
Gr8 for food
My LIQUOR STORE
Overpriced.
If Whole Foods and Circle K had a baby it would be Nesbit’s. Super convenient one stop mini grocery store in the warehouse district. Was a life saver so far this Mardi Gras season as I needed to throw together some last minute parade beverages and a cheese / charcuterie board!

Surprisingly well sorted for the manageable size. After arriving there we found everything for the first few days. There are also some sandwiches & co for direct consumption without having to prepare anything. Coffee and pastries also for consumption in front of the shop at one of the tables. Since it is located on a side street, it is also relaxing to sit in the sun. Met four different employees over the course of the day, all very friendly and helpful.
