Oh man, sooo delicious. I asked the girl ordering ahead of me what to get, and she said split an order between the regular and the bbq. Truth be told, I liked the regular fried a lot more. Ate them in a backyard a block away with a cold beer — best on a steamy day. Unrelated, but a rooster jumped into the backyard at the same time. Yeah, I chased him. So what?

Great place for an inexpensive bite to eat. Being located in downtown New Orleans, parking is a nightmare but MANCHU'S is definitely worth it‼️

I regularly comes here 1-2 a year with out of town guests or large gatherings. It only “loses” a star bc it isn’t the healthiest. Price? Great. Large pan of 50 Wings and fried fish? Dope. Fried rice? Probably MSG/salty. Area is semi-hood but very safe. I know that sounds oxymoronic but it’s true. I’ve been here a dozen times and felt safe. Could I give it 5-stars? Yes, but it’s definitely not healthy but definitely delicious.

Please, change your oil more. Chicken has a burnt aftertaste. Also please tell your chicken providers it is not fair to sell you chicken pieces so small they look like toys. Chicken should be allowed to grow to a decent size to sell. They don't need to be jumbo, but I will not buy again if they are small. I will also tell all my friends not to buy them the way they have been because they are too small, plus an aftertaste. No.

The egg rolls have pork so we got the 10pc fried chicken. It comes with fries or shrimp fried rice. Order took about 5 mins to complete, they take card. No dine-in.

LOVE the chicken wings here! I almost never order or eat out chicken - but Manchu definitely gets my vote when wings are in order! (Haven't tried anything else yet). Great for large groups, game days, pool parties, and other events - at a reasonable price for huge order! Be sure to call ahead (same-day only, if I remember correctly), and arrive early for pick - up because trust me, there will be a wait! Really 4.5 stars... My only complaint is location and limited indoor waiting area. People are are literally wrapped around the building outside waiting for their orders! But that just let's you know how much we locals love it! #NuttieFoodie

Best fried chicken! Really bad area of town, I traveled here with my 5 yr old daughter. Lots of homeless begging for money, cigarettes and sleeping under the bridge. I felt fairly safe though overall. Food was amazing, cheap and get you get huge portions.

Manchu chicken is very popular for party food. The fried catfish is also pretty good. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the dried shrimp in the fried rice.. It is pretty rare to get a bad batch of food here because it sells so quickly, so quickly that if you go in to order 6 pieces chicken wing with rice and salad it’s already ready. You can Order a 100 pc wings and it will be ready in 10 minutes.

The fried chicken is very good, the poboys are almost as good, the fried rice is tasty, the prices and complete service time is excellent. This food store is very centrally located in the city, but the area looks & feels unsafe and parking can be troublesome at times; I recommend this "takeout only" joint, just know you will probably see characters sitting, hanging around and talking loud, not far from the front door.

Hands down the best fried chicken!!! I visited this spot based off the locals and I was glad I did. The chicken was amazing!! OMG!! I really can't stop thinking about it. The fried rice however was ok( I'm from St. Louis and in my opinion no one can make fried rice like we can). If you are in New Orleans please visit this place. The location is not the best but they get you out fast and you can't beat the price.

I will admit Manchu's makes great chicken. Granted it is in one of the very worst parts of New Orleans. Also it has bulletproof glass. But in the end it was worth it, because they have the best chicken in the city! Also the prices were incredibly reasonable as well.

Cheap and fast food! This is like a fast food Chinese place plus convenient store in one. They are known for their chicken wings, which I thought were ok. You can get 8 chicken wings for $6.19 and gets a little cheaper the more wings you buy. It also comes with fried rice! Other items on the menu includes po'boys, buns, shrimp, fish, fried rice, pork chops, meat pie, fries, and yaka mein. The yaka mein is noodle soup with ham, dried shrimp and green onion. It was ok.

The way people were talking I expected to find armed guards with attack dogs by the front door with a line to go through a metal detector and waiting to get frisked. People wanted to get their order not drama. I must say the service was quick person who took my order was nice the chicken was damn good. I love Thou, Manchu. #EnoughSaid lol. They provide a variety of food to eat at a very affordable price; with great quantity. This is one of my all time favorite places to eat in my hometown Nawlins. It's located in the heart of the 7th wd, only blocks away from the old MCD35. I've been eating here since high school and haven't stopped since lol.
