Wonderful shopping experience. The customer service was excellent! Felt like shopping in a small town grocery. Reggie recommended a nice king cake. The gentleman working the meat section helped us pick out boudin & other sausages. With their coffee and seasoning selection we'll be taking the flavor of New Orleans home. Our checker was very kind as well. Only regret was coming with a full belly because their deli looked and smelled delicious!

Convenient small to mid size grocery in Lakeview perfect for those of us who don't love the mega groceries and for those who just want to pick up a few things. Well stocked deli, prepared foods and boars head products which are my fav. More than adequate selection of most everything you might need well displayed. It can be a tiny bit crowded in the middle of the isles but not so as to hinder your shopping. Larger than expected wine/alcohol section, so they have their priorities in the right order!! Very friendly staff who seem to be happy and like what they do. That is always refreshing to find. Great little find in the middle of a busy area of Lakeview.

This place has it all, including lower-priced eggs! (Paid $2.60/doz for brown). Nacho and Taco Bar, Olive Bar, Salad Bar, and tons of ready-made foods like Mac n Cheese, Red Beans and Rice, and even pizza by the slice. Overall prices are a little higher than most thanks to the nice neighborhood I guess. Still, plenty of deals if you look. (Paid 89 cents a pound for chicken thighs for example!). Everything is clean and well-stacked and never met a nicer group of employees..

Hot line food is good. It’s pricey though. I had a poboy and fries last time. It was alright. People who work the registers at the deli are unfriendly and useless. I asked for a plain cheeseburger poboy. It had no cheese. Now I see why these people don’t get paid anything good. They can’t even take a simple order.

Since Katrina, I have probably shopped here at least a couple of dozen times. Neighborhood store with plenty to offer. Not a local or regional chain grocer, but somewhat competitive on pricing and selection. I cannot remember a time when I went in, and did not come out with what I was looking for. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of highschool aged or older teens working there, which I believe is good. I have never been disappointed with their deli, or salad and hot food bar. Good produce, too. The location is convenient, too. It seems that every time I shop there, I was able to take care of some other shopping needs close by.

Conveniently located grocery store with friendly staff, fast service, and a great selection of prepared meals! We come here at least once a week to supplement our usual grocery runs, for special ingredients, or for a beer run. The staff is very kind and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes at the register. The produce selection is limited and there are no bulk items. This grocery store is small so they have all of the items you may need but only one or two brands in one size. I've never done a comparison on prices either. The parking lot is also extremely treacherous for both cars and pedestrians so be safe when you're walking in! Great for a quick grocery run but would suggest other stores for your weekly haul.

Truly enjoy the "home feel" of Lakeview Grocery. They make great fresh breads and pastries! Their Brownies are the best! If you need a dessert for a Party, their Brownies are great! Also the best Fried Chicken! It's always hot and you can order for a pick up at your convenience. Must try.

Some of the prices are a little high but having a larger fresh foods selection makes up for it. Was getting my food there while starting in Madison for cancer treatments. I could only handle fresh fruits and veggies, and it was nice that they were organic. Actually helped me feel a lot better with all the time I spend up there. The people who work there are very helpful, they've even helped me by grabbing items I need but am to tired to get. Only place that's happened to me and it makes a huge difference! Thanks for everything!

Sandwiches are decent Selection is great Worst part is the employees use the front of the building for smoke breaks. So eating outside and enjoying the weather gives you 2nd hand smoke exhaust and makes the crawfish taste like an ashtray.

I see an improvement in the cleaning and care inside the store that wasn't there 7 months ago. Thanks for cleaning up and getting rid of odor inside store. The salad and to go stations are greatly improved.

Deli is great with poboys, lunch/dinner plates, fresh sushi, ice cream machine for the kids, great wine, beer, and liquor selection for the adults, and more! Lack of space means there won't be as much of a grocery selection as your major grocer such as Winn-dixie, etc, but I'm happy with them none the less.

I enjoy the cove around the side. There are very helpful staff to make you sandwich or cook what you've bought at the grocery. Very social place, dogs ok outside. Beautiful veggies and meats. Decent pricing. Great asset to the area!

Good po boy. I had to wander around a little bit to find where to order because they serve so much hot food/sushi and all sorts. I wandered around the rest of the store looking. And they have some nice stuff, it's a high end grocery store from the looks of it. Their beer selection is good! Glad I stopped

The convenience of the prepared food side is really nice, especially if you don't really know what you want. Great salad/burrito bar, hot line, sushi, prepared sandwiches (muffulatta is great), soups, and you can order hot poboys that are great as well. They have catering too...I have ordered a bunch of fried chicken and boudin balls, meat pies for a meeting and they were ready on time and good.

Their hot bar food is severely underrated (fried catfish that ISN'T mealy and overcooked?! EVERY TIME? Sign me up) considering New Orleans is home of the hot plate.

An older store in the Lakeview Area, this locally owned grocery store serves the Lakeview Community. Open lanes, well stocked aisles, one can be found out perusing the aisles for extended periods, making selection choices one after another. I find their pricing to be more than Wallyworld, but as expected, its not a chain & doesn't have the finances of big box retail... Support Locally Owned. Checking out is easy, paper or plastic? Cash or credit? I've seen a time or two where the bagger has assisted a patron with loading groceries into their car; so like the days of yesteryear!!! Awesome!!!

Living not too far from here, I come to LVG several times per week. Although the staff are not always the most pleasant to you, it’s still one of those wonderful kinds of places you hope never goes away. Has everything you need, from a hot meal to cleaning supplies to everyday grocery items. They’ve upgraded to include an inviting seating area recently. Feels like a community hub, and I appreciate that it’s here.
