You can get literally anything in this store. Be nice is the main thing you ask the employees they will show you where whatever you are looking for is. I've seen all the negative reviews from a bunch of KENS & KARENS. Brush that sh*t off! This is NOLA you take your life in your hands wherever you go. Be it Arizona, Texas, NY, Florida! All places the same and all places are dangerous.

Always crazy long lines, but pretty solid selection for a dollar store (not a bunch of stuff that is actually priced for a dollar, but 99 cent stores seem to be a thing of the past...) If you want a discounted product and are willing to wait a bit to ring it up, the time it takes to purchase reminds me of the saying, “you get what you pay for”.

It’s rare to come to this store and you actually have a 5 star rating experience. For one there’s always some kind of fight that breaks out either between customers or employees. The manager - well they aren’t the friendliest. The staff is a hit and miss but overall I haven’t had issues with the cashiers....yet. I’ve always had pretty good luck finding something of which I am looking for!! :-)

I came into town for a wedding. Rented a house and needed supplies .Regina Rankin was so helpful. She went beyond what she needed to do that I had to ask her full name just so I could recommend her for such a great gob. And to add there were other employees that were helpful also. Great store.

The store is very clean. They always run out of basic things and there is always, always, always a long line. Cashiers are very slow. I've worked at a dollar General before and it was very fast pace but never did I or any of the cashiers that worked under me have long lines. Would not EVER run a store like this.

This little grocery store has some of the best prices in town and everything you need. Even though it's located in one of the less a fluent parts of town the police station is only a block away so you can feel safe going there and it's just a hop skip and a jump from the French Quarter. Just realize, customer service here is like the rest of New Orleans... not very good.

Many people complain about the lack of open registers but I say don't shop there then. The employees are usually really nice and accommodating AND overworked so I take all of that into consideration. Also, they're well stocked so yea.

Pretty decent store.. Has its bad moments sometimes as far as the long waits. But other than that is pretty clean and has all the amenities you need from a grocery store. I wish they sold almond milk.

Usually go in the morning around 8. Store never has more than one line open, and there is always a wait. Shelves are often empty and store can be dirty. BUT the staff is usually pretty nice and excited to talk to you.

I love that i can come here for all my last-minute shopping. They have a cold/frozen food section with lots to choose from. Get your candy fix here with all the most popular brands. Buy a quick gift. Shop for all of your household needs and even clothes and the best selection of toiletries. When checking out you receive exceptional customer service from lovely people who care about your shopping experience. All that said, they are so hood.. Loiterers, shoplifters and drug dealers love to hang out in the area and they are rarely shoved off by security. It is apparent that most of the employees live in the local area which can be good for those who also dwell in the 6th and 7th wards.. If not, you may have to be patient while there are long personal conversations going on in the checkout line. Other than that, they are all beautiful people that also make a point to help and edify their community. Definitely a "New Orleans-flavored" Dollar General.

The store was dirty, shelves were not neat items on the floor, opened food on the shelves. The parking lot was a mess, the cars were dirty and broken, turned upside down some were out in the street. The door you enter in is next to produce and you could smell bad fruit and rotting vegetables. The cashier was friendly and knowledgable. The guard wouldn't even talk to us. BUT they had an awful lot of items crammed into a small store. They had items that I have never seen before. Handy little gizmos for around the house.

Well...it DOES offer fresh produce in a food desert area! And...the stocking of the shelves is ok. While serving their purpose, these stores MAKE u feel "targeted & inferior," because the stuff they offer, even if brand name, LOOKS & FEELS inferior! Like hand me downs from the White folks, but u pay for them!

I hadn't been in this particular store for over a year. Its a DG Market, unlike most DG's. Meaning they have produce and more food items. Disappointed a bit, much of the produce was a few days past ripe. Do recommend and will continue shopping there.

The Produce area is always real neat & clean also well organized & full , Daysha Neil Felix Dona & Sandra are all nice employees I never have a problem with them when I come but I also dislike that management is sometimes rude there’s never enough lines open it takes a manager years to come fix a problem at the register some things really need to change

Sometimes not enough registers open , for many patrons.a employee voice comments of patrons body odors blatenly loud. People go there after work , or homeless,or something ......I just think if ya can't say something nice !!! Don't say ........

It's a Dollar General Market, not too many of those. By market they mean it has a lot more produce and groceries. Prices are very reasonable. They do run out of items quite a bit, so you have to visit them regularly.

I thought this place was absolutely amazing! My husband and I agree from Tallahassee and have never seen a place like this lol it was great to have everything right there! Very convenient and made shopping go quickly and smoothly.

Cool DG supermarket since it's close to home ... small meat Dept. Actually they did have some ground turkey for chili I was making. No deli, of course. We shopped until they were closing, because I spent at least 15 minutes looking for chamomile tea that is something I have to have!! LoL...but no luck.. All in all, good place to pick up a few groceries that you need.

Lots of stuff here. Much bigger than a regular Dollar General. The employees were nice and helpful. I found the phone charger that I needed with their help!

Most favorite place to shop nowadays!! Hey now- a wonderful Dollar General of course with DG prices, AND they have a grocery side? Always have FRESH and priced right produce on top of everything else? I'm in retail BLISS!!! I definitely prefer OLD DG over The Fam buck ANY day!!!

Same as any other. Like a mini Walmart or K-mart. Great for general items and some food shopping. A lower priced drug store but without the pharmacy.
