Nicest Patel Bros, at least 6-8 electric charging stations, really nice prepared foods/pastries and desserts section, also a bonus - very clean bathrooms. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and lots of registers open, no wait time for checkout. Pretty well stocked produce and the best frozen section I’ve seen at any PB.

A huge upgrade from their old store. Large single building , with enough parking , electric car charging station. Carts are maintained cleanly, store has lot of products, it is a single stop for anything Indian items you have it in mind like vessels , masala , spices etc., clean restrooms and their vegetable section is not more collection and not maintained much fresh. I appreciate the space given for a shopping , there in house dining place is vegetarian . There is not much items when we were there but I believe they may have samosa , chats etc.,. The staffs are not so welcoming or friendly , felt like they don’t bother you are there for shopping and you are a customer. I understand doing it for a whole day is touch but even an eye contact is not there. As such you are worried about product and not bothered about experience, this is for you. Pricing is normal . Will recommend this store for anyone who wants to have a good Indian grocery

I like how clean this Indian store looks inside and out. So many variety of spices, rice, breads, sauces, and produce you can’t get at a regular grocery store. I’m giving it a 4 star because some prices can be pricey.

Definitely an upgrade from the smaller store. I got everything we need from here. All kinds of produce to suit your needs as well as all kinds of spices that you need for cooking. And the snack kitchen in the back has great tasting foods as well. I got the veg kathi roll and the dosa roll and both were extremely flavorful and delicious! With a small spicy kick which I liked!

They make it easier to find authentic products that I would find back home in India. They also have a decent variety of spices, snacks, produce, and rice. The products are on the pricier side, however. I sometimes go to the food place to get good Punjabi samosas.

This Patel has been growing so much. The last we were here on a Sunday our voice could echo. But now we would have to wait in line to checkout. We are happy for them. The cashiers were amazing. Thought I was in a long queue but were were out in no time.

Unorganized, dirty with poor management and employees that are not trained to greet customers. To top it off, prices are higher than other stores. This establishment needs much improvement. The only reason I continue to shop here is because this is the only Indian store in Nashville.

What a nice well stocked clean store. So many items that this American guy and his wife did not know. Was fun just browsing. We purchased the items for my wifes Indian dish she makes plus some interesting snacks. What we did not like was that nobody was very friendly. This is a great place for Indian groceries and in its current form has a vast selection of fresh produce and other Indian/Middle Eastern groceries. You can also find fresh Indian snacks like Samosas, Cutlets, Pastries and Sweets. My one critique is the presence of expired sweets in the refrigerated section from time to time. They need to do a better job of removing these sweets in time so people do not accidentally pick these. Inspite of this shortcoming this is an excellent place for Indian groceries. The checkout staff is always efficient and friendly.

Noticed the following: Bigger Parking lot (electric car friendly) Bigger fresh produce section Bigger Frozen foods section Bigger Isles for easier traffic flow Bigger signs for easier navigation More checkout lanes Fast food togo counter for quick delicious grab and go meals Management walking around greeting everybody making them feel welcome Employees restocking shelves fast. Great Store, Great experience, nothing else to say! Check out the new pics........ Clean, well organized, fresh produce. Best selection in spices, breads, ready to eat frozen foods, produce and desserts. Some people complain about how busy they always are but trust me, when it comes to food, i would rather go to a busy grocery store than one that is always empty! That tells you a lot about the place........and to top it off they have awesome prices.

There is no better grocery place for South Asian/Bengali cuisine than this in Nashville. You will surely find all sorts of veggies/spices here. I found my beloved frozen loitta(bombay duck) shutki, icha(tiny shrimp) shutki. Also they have punjabi samosa(actually shingara). Sometimes the size of samosa gets smaller but otherwise I love them. This is my weekly supply place. And I am grateful 🙏🏼!

The place is really good for Indian product you can find almost everything . But many of their product does not have expire date on them, so its very important for you to pick up the product and check for expire date and price tag because in many product its always missing.And few of their product are damage or open you can check on picture i have added. I think they really need to maintain standard goods they sell.

What a great grocery store! Very clean. I only visited once but I'll be back. I would have liked more friendly staff to help explain a few things. They do have a hot bar for prepared foods. I'll have to go back to try them out. They looked delicious! Definitely stop by.

You can get all Indian related snacks and groceries here at the store. This is like a to go place for preparing Indian cuisine. However, when shopping for anything other than vegetables, do watch for expiry dates. It was not just one time that I picked something and later found it to be way past expiry date. Sometimes we shop in haste and forget to look at the expiry. Patel Brothers tend to keep items that are expired on the shelves. Beware and watch for the dates everytime. I made a recent purchase on 8th December and found the items expired in August and September. That is how long I believe the items would still remain on the shelves for sale. Similarly please check for the dates on any desserts before purchase.

Unfortunately this big and best Indian grocery outside india gets 1 star due to the following reasons 3rd time Food was fresh n tasty Veggies were like 8/10 fresh Good job 2ND TIME food kitchen: -Dried up lilva kachori and paneer masala puff - Kachori was little better but paneer puff is full of artificial color. (i assume the curry they sell over the counter goes into these puffs next day because no one adds food color to puffs or kachori or pav buns) food kitchen: - cakes n cream pastries - all stale and not tasty - over priced too - paneer mutter pav - priced well but no hint of paneer - other vadas n fritters - ok not a 5 star one Grocery store: - good that they have fixed the parking issue with new location - lane management is terrible -wish they open a mobile phone based reward system

Has all the Indian groceries you can ever need. Shelves are almost always well stocked. If you can’t find anything, one of the employees will surely help out. We visit the store every other week. They also have a new food outlet at the far end which has fresh samosas and other snacks. Love it!

Great store was Traveling from Memphis and I know Patel Brothers got most everything I needed. They have Construction going on Patel Brothers need big sign of Entrance because where my Navigations was taking me I got little lost and had to come around, Other than that it's clean store that including Parking area. One thing I didn't liked there was some Monks outside in Parking area asking everyone for Donations no disrespect but Grocery store is not where you ask every person to ask for money I think Management need watch people who try ask for money in business area.

It's a very big store for Indian and other Asian countries'groceries. You must visit it for Asian stuff. There are a lot of varieties of Indian veggies, rice, masalas, ready made food s although some readymade foods cost seems high, you should still try them, as the taste of those packed foods is soo good

This store is been renovated. It's an Indian grocery store. Has a bakery and kitchen section with fresh chapati , sweets , Currys and snacks. I would suggest if you want fresh grocery come on morning hours. That's the best time for fresh full stock veggies . They have s wife range of spices, spice powders , snacks , seasonal snacks , oils, organic lentils, candy , Indian goods like dishes , plates, kitchen gadgets etc. Parking is spacious. The checkout counters are limited but fast. On weekends it's crowded. Must have sweets during festive season they are delicious. Good place to buy all goods.

Honestly a huge upgrade from their old building. This has better parking, and allows for more people to be inside the building without causing issues. One gem is their prepared foods station, which has a ton of snacks and treats made on site to enjoy. They are extremely affordable and some of them are extremely delicious. Highly recommend getting anything from here as it is worth it if you make it all the way out here. Their vegetable selection is probably the best in any Indian store in Tennessee hands down. Their dessert section is also amazing (at least a dozen freezers full of desserts).

Fun clean & full of great produce & lots of shelves full of variety. We shopped on the late side so could only try the freshly baked goods, all of which we loved. One of our group thought they were quite spicy, but she the only one. (No heated foods were left.) We will be back!

Strangest interaction with humans ever. I have been there twice and same thing both times. The cashiers do not acknowledge your presence when you check out. No HI, THANK YOU or BYE. They have a conversation among themselves the entire time, and I may actually prefer that to the sometimes fake appreciation you get at other stores. This is one good neighborhood Indian store. They top up good required inventories. Earlier I visited random days, saw good vegetables however my recent visits were on Tuesdays, I didn't see fresh or good quality and quantity of vegetables. Nice location and nice variety of Indian groceries. Great fresh produce. Bad management though, store is often overcrowded especially in the evening with no restriction on no. of people allowed in the store. No one way traffic in the super narrow aisles. I am honestly surprised no one reported this situation to authorities.

First time visit there from outta town. Very nice place. I was in culinary bliss! Super stocked, a deli and impressed with all the electric auto charging stations in front. I don't own an electric auto but cool knowing those that do can feed two birds with one seed by shopping while charging the car.

A good place for Subcontinent foods. But a common problems in display of rices. There was no price tags in lot of rice display. So I had to pay more than my expectation.

The store is well organized and a boon for the Indian community. There wasn’t much I could use as my experience is limited to SE Asian and South American foodstuffs. The staff was working “Walmart” style. Busy and not concerned with the customer experience. I’m going back after I learn how to cook using these ingredients.

This place is good for authentic food. It has a good atmosphere and good prices too! The store is well kept and very clean, they are always replacing and restocking so there is no need for worry on items or them not having what you need. They have household items and food stuffs, a fresh food court and bakery. I would recommend coming here if you are busy and need good ingredients or if you just wanted some snacks too. Great place and good prices. Beats other big name store chains lol. So if you are reading this far I am leaving my original comment because I stood behind it. I will not lie about this review I feel four stars is adequate but I am not sure if it is lasting. I was and still am impressed with their selection size, huge is not an understatement. I worry though but do not fault the store or the owners or anything as far as bashing or insulting them. These times are tough and it’s a time we should be more understanding and able to accept that sometimes things are mot going to be as we would wish them to be. But if I can say anything it is that I have mot yet seen a consistent lack of trying on part of the management and staff. They do have spirit and hood efforts, but when the day comes that they stop trying to do their best is the day I change my review star selection. I want them to go higher. But I ultimately leave your own experience as judge. I still shop here, and have no intention of stopping yet. Thank you.

Great supply of foreign food from Asian countries like India. Prices are good and we've yet to find a cashier that did not speak enough American English to communicate with. We drive more than 50 miles just for grocery supplies from this store.

Very busy parking lot be aware. I'm not very familiar with Indian cuisine but my guess is if your looking for the Indian ingredient you can't find in your local grocery store it will be here. Prices were phenomenal it was well worth the trip across town.

It's a great grocery store with a wide selection of food products that you can't get anywhere else. They have a variety of non-food items, such as incense, cosmetics, home goods, essentially everything you'd find at a typical grocery store. Obviously, they do focus on South Asian products but not exclusively. The prices are quite reasonable, and the store is very well organized, clutter-free, and pleasant to shop in.

Excellent selection and quality of product. Employees are helpful. There is a vast selection that can be overwhelming if not accustomed to Indian cooking. Layout is helpful though for finding what you're looking for. It is often busy when we go, but the lines don't ever seem too long.

Absolutely the largest store of this kind that I've ever entered. I just wanted to see what they carried and they have everything. Every and probably any spice, bean, staple you may need. I've no idea what to do with most of it, but they carry whatever you need for Indian meals here.

This place could get 5 stars if they were more aware and considerate of their lines stretching far back into the store and only having one checkout lane open. No one wants to wait in a long line that moves slowly during a pandemic. If you have employees (not the stockers) walking around the store, surely you can have more than one person checking people out. It has been like this two times in a row. Friendly service and reasonable price. Wide variety of Indian fresh vegetables and produce available. The parking is always full, as I visit during weekends and it is crowded. Sometimes I have to park at Subway or McDonalds parking. Very organized and well-stocked. Frozen food and the pickles selection is really wonderful and has lots of varieties.

An Indian/Asian general store with fresh vegetables, fruits and a whole lot of food items including grains, spices, snacks, milk products, Indian sweets and frozen food products. The prices are reasonable and a lot of variety. Most of the items are vegetarian/vegan. If you like Indian food and spices and like to experiment and cook, Patel Brothers is the place to visit. Especially the spices are cheaper as compared to Kroger/Walmart.

Newly renovated and opened Patel Brothers is really good place to shop In overall. Wide variety of items, competitive price although some items are relatively expensive then other American retailers. It is opened into the place where you would like to spend a few hours while shopping, and then go for lunch in nearby Subway, McDonald’s, and other fast food franchise in your weekends.

They have a great selection of Indian foods and spices. No doubt. Parking is a huge problem. Their price is comparatively higher than other similar stores in that area. Staff are rude especially those in the counter. They need to fix these hicups mainly the inhospitable staff who immediately put negative thoughts in the customers shopping experience.

I used to go there when they started... Now after expansion... I can see more stuff then before.. most of the vegetables are fresh (But I found some tomatoes are ICE cold... not sure) and able to get most of the stuffs we needed... The people working are very helpful if we cannot find anything... I would highly recommend.... This is an update of what I posted 3 years ago. They relocated to a nearby facility. The new store has more room to walk, carry-out food and snacks, and added items. Takes care of all the negativity. Original Review: This is good place for subcontinental food items. I was shopping here this evening. Staffs were working on stocking products and they were blocking all the isles. It was really disturbing; couldn't walk around with the shopping cart. I told this situation to the staff while checking out and suggested they should keep at least one side of each isle free so that people can move around. The staff was really rude and told me it is a regular situation on this day of the week. If wanted, I could go there on the other days of the week.

Patel brothers is a must visit place in Nashville for all things Indian - in food department. It has every food item from vegetables to grocery to spices to numerous kinds of snacks. They also have all kinds of frozen chapatis available, which is a convenience to many. Literally one stop shop for Indians looking for home food. Indeed it is a weekly routine of many people to visit this place for restocking food items. Five stars from me. The new superstore is huge and it has so many more options.

This is a nice Indian grocery store where you could get almost everything of your need. It could get crowded on weekends though. So plan accordingly. I usually prefer it for for the spices and some snacks. There is a Walmart opposite to this place. So, that's also a plus when you are out shopping for groceries.

First of all, I would start by saying Patel Brothers is a blessing for lovers of Indian food. Had it not been there, I would have missed the presence of Indian food in my life. Having said that, there are still significant improvements when it comes to options offered by them: I often find there frozen section missing items like paranthas. Also, in order to promote their in-house brand “Swad” they have started neglecting other options, for e.g. they no longer offer “Maggi” brand ketchup and the only ones they have are Heinz and Swad, the latter being HORRIBLE. Its very safe to say that their in-house brand “Swad” is SUB-STANDARD. Now moving onto their kitchen and hot food area: Guys, please stay from the area, the oil used to cook food is of really bad quality. Since the inauguration of the new place, I have tasted the food 3-4 times, and every time except the very first time (which was on the opening day of their kitchen) I had an upset stomach. The food is hard to digest and for sure I won’t be trying it again.

Patel Brothers always has what my husband and I need for cooking. My only complaint is that the aisles are very narrow and make it hard to shop when products are being shelved as many customers are trying to get by. Other than that, it is a great place to shop.

I feel like I'm back in Kharghar shopping in Reliance. The place is so crowded & the aisles are not wide enuf ...barely anyone can fit. The lines to the cashiers are so long it blocks anyone from moving along to the other aisles. I have been going to Patel for six years now and have seen them grow slowly. The proprietor is an entrepreneur and has shrewdly invested in space and content that appeals to a wide swathe of ethnic population of the city. Of course it is first and foremost an Indian store, but he has taken the pains to appeal to all states of the country. The sheer collection of basmati rice and lentils alone are enough to pay a visit. The store has many bargains to be had. For example, spices. Turmeric, Coriander, Cumin, masala, you name it...it's cheaper than anywhere else in the city. The produce might not be organic and local, but you can find many exotic vegetables here. For example, bitter melon and bottle gourd. The store is filled with food surprises in every aisle. Highly recommend it if you are a foodie.
