It's a bright, cheery place. They feature their own brands. A lot of good products, but also high prices. Movie Theater Popcorn, a snack I like, jumped from $1.99 to $2.79! It's only a 5 oz.bag. They should have more items on sale. Also, they should sell some kind of soda pop. Their staff are the friendliest folks around. Nicer than Targets or anybody else's, in general.

Well Trader Joe’s is just awesome in general, and this is the closest one in my area, so I go here every time I need groceries. Today I went shopping with a friend because I don’t currently have a vehicle up here, and in the midst of the hustle and bustle a bag of freezer food got left behind. After calling, Angelique was incredible and went above and beyond to make sure it all worked out! I love my local TJ’s (:

Love this place. They have great meal ideas and you don't have to feel like healthier foods are out of the question because the prices here are very fair. I need to start coming here more often , I just forget about it because it's a bit out of my way. The liquor store is worth checking out as well.

They have fresh vegetables and fruits, I like the varieties of cheeses and meats for sandwiches. My friend likes banana chips, they had multiple types of it. There is also a liquor store next to it.

I love Trader Joe's! I'm not as big into their prepared items but their fresh meat, cheese, veggies, nuts, etc. are usually great quality and at really competitive prices. Also, their flowers, wine, and liquor are the best quality and at the lowest prices you can find! The downtown TJ's isn't very big but they have free parking and all the essentials.

Went in on a Sunday with my kids and a woman ran in and was screaming and crying for help eventually making it to the bathroom. She was apparently injured or in need of attention as the manager came running down the hall with paper towels. The police were soon to follow. The experience shook my daughters up and frankly I wondered about the safety in the neighborhood. We likely won't be back.

Trader Joe's is an outstanding grocery with high quality TJ branded items. They have great selections of cheeses, bread mixes, sauces, and sundries. They have great prices on very nice cut flowers and stock lots of organic and sustainable farmed food. Oh yes, and you can get "3 buck Chuck" at the liquor store across from the regular grocery. This location is right downtown and easy to get to on foot although there is a parking lot which they will validate for and no problem finding a spot early on the weekend.

Best Trader Joe’s in the cities! They are frequently out of things, but hey that’s sort of the norm right now for anywhere you go. If they’re out of something I need, if I go back a couple days later, it’s usually back in stock. Staff are super friendly too.

I love this store. No, it doesn't have everything, but it has a stellar selection of items that are tasty, healthy, and practical. They offer specific products that are exclusive to the chain, as Aldi does. This keeps their prices fair. Many products are offered that are organic and sold with social justice in mind. I love the frozen foods (such as the onion soup bowls) , fresh fruits and vegetables and wide assortment of soft drinks and varieties of carbonated waters. I have not had a negative experience with any of the staff members, who are usually busy trying to keep the shelves stocked. Practically every cashier has made me feel like a rock star. Trader Joe's on Washington Ave has become one of my favorite grocery stores and I highly recommend it to my friends.

Trader Joe’s is easy, efficient and has incredible customer service! From a quality and service perspective, I’d like to give it 5 stars… but have to give it a 4 until their is more of a conversation about honoring the cultures that created many of the foods TJ’s is famous for selling. Pros: Overall, it’s an easy place to find high-quality foods at low-cost. I appreciate that prepared foods often do not cost more per unit (e.g. sliced mushrooms are the same price per unity as whole). Everything is neatly packaged and we’ve also had good luck finding sugar-free foods (like dried fruit or cereal). The other major win - the staff is always friendly! Even here in downtown Minneapolis I feel like they are genuine and creating community. Cons: Limited selection, no disposable products like paper plates. The packing style seems to limit or decide quantities for you, for example you can choose a package of peppers but not hand select what you want. The big challenge: There needs to be a discussion about the cultural appropriation of foods (example: Za’Tar as middle eastern, Goyza as Japanese, Bamba’s as Israeli). Unfortunately, their re-naming system (have you ever noticed they will use “Trader Ming’s” for Asian food, “Trader Giatto’s” for Italian, etc.) may only make it worse. There are also many foods that do not clearly fall in the categories they made. I think Trader Joe’s can find a better way to authentically honor the cultures that created the delicious foods.

A special shout out to Crew Member Seci who was minutes away from being done with his shift but was full of enthusiasm and kindness and paid for the flowers I was getting. I love the convenience of this Trader Joe's. There is parking next to the store with free 1 hour validation. I buy fresh baked items, stock up on pantry basics, and even find health and beauty products. Plus, the liquor store always has great wines, cider, and other fun adult beverages to try.

Great selection of everyday staples and unique foods. I wish some things like granulated sugar eat available in normal quantities. The seasonal choices are amazing, but will leave you sad when they're gone. 100% the best store to go to during covid. Mask requirements are actually enforced, most people do a great job of distancing, and the shelves are well stocked. Thank you TJs, you've earned a loyal customer. Update 6/30/22: even "after" COVID, some people still wearing masks. Most do not. Very well stocked with good prices.

In proper trader Joe’s fashion, the parking lot was a little difficult to enter and exit, but parking was free for an hour despite it being in the middle of the city. So glad TJ’s is expanding into the cityscape!! This one felt bigger than my usual TJs. Also, great staff as per usual! Incredibly helpful, friendly, and cool ♥️

Love Trader Joe’s flowers however when I returned home right after purchasing, my flowers were not looking that great. It was super cold the other day and check out didn’t give me a bag to cover top of flowers so they were exposed to the attic blast until my car heated up. Neat, tidy, friendly, and just a little bit "Hipster meets Stepford Wives having Rosemary's Baby, naming her Carol-Ann, and telling her to 'go into the light!'" I love Trader Joe's. I really do (despite that opening). Which is why I think it strange that nearly every time I shop there, I cannot seem to shake feelings that remind me of various horror movies I have seen in my life. The quality of food is excellent. The fresh produce is indeed fresh, and delicious as well. The store is incredibly clean and organized, and while the market is much smaller than supermarkets like Cub or Rainbow (remember Rainbow?), I am always impressed with the choices consumers have. So many items to choose from! There are also an array of foods I have never tried (or heard of) and food combinations that I have never thought of trying. Staff is super friendly, and genuinely appears to be happy working there. The store does run out of things more often than I find at typical supermarkets, and I have always found that this is rectified in a day or two. Cost-wise, Trader Joe's is a bit pricier than typical supermarkets but the cost is by no means unreasonable. It may take a little longer to shop, and for me, it is because they sell no national brands (or very few) and this forces me to read the label -- EVERY label, to determine what the product is! Anything that I have said here that may come across as negative should not be taken that way. At MOST, it can be a very minor inconvenience or annoyance when you compare that to the awesome quality of products as well as the wide and diverse array of items available. I highly recommend you shop at Trader Joe's. Even one time to see what you can see. It's fun, interesting, satisfying, and a pleasant experience.

All things considered, they have done great to maintain inventory even during the highs and lows of the pandemic. There have been those items that are randomly out, but considering that this is one of the busiest grocery stores around, and they are supplying half the downtown area, I'd have to say they are doing pretty well. The cut flowers section could easily rival any other in the city as far as quality and price. Produce is usually sold per unit, and after comparing that price to other supermarkets by weight, they are comparable, if not better in price. Produce is pretty good quality overall. Meat is a little higher in price, but you take that since everything else is cheaper for the most part. Also, the Scandanavian Swimmers and Hot Cocao mix (seasonal) are a must buy.

Standard Trader Joe's with plenty of inexpensive groceries. Produce is not always the freshest, and Trader Joe's nationwide use way too much plastic packaging and have a poor environmental record (refrigerants that pollute and release greenhouse gases).

Trader Joe's is always a great place to shop. As usual, it is not an "everything" grocery store. They may not stock the expected grocery staples. But they do have a wide range of stuff. And they have some particular items that taste good and may be something you look for in the future. Be forewarned, one you fall in love with something, it may dissappear! Not sure if that's a plan or what.

Its TJ's, so I've never felt the need to rate them. As its typically a well run establishment at any location we go. But these guys today showed me how thoughtful they are about the foods and products they sell. An employee was carefully checking raspberries and cleaning each container before replacing them to the cooler shelf, because he must of noticed a bundle had mold. Something that me and my son are highly allergic to. Buying food is a proces at best.. I found this guy taking the time to do what every store should do. To the Trader Joe's guy finding the bearded Raspberries!!! Me and my kid thank you!💛😊

I usually don't go to this location because parking is an issue, but on this occasion there was plenty of on-street parking right outside the store.

My car battery died this morning in the Trader Joe’s parking lot. A gentleman at the Customer Service desk helped jump start the car. Very appreciative of that. We visit this location every week. Always a great selection of items, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient parking.

Great variety and a unique selection of groceries. I love that there are fresh flowers to buy and plenty of in-season produce options. The freezer section is also full of fun, convenient choices. And there are special items (i.e. everything but the bagel seasoning) throughout the store. I do hope there are plans to reduce plastic packaging because that is one major deterrent for me from visiting frequently.

Love this place! All of the workers always have an amazing attitude, and they sell unique foods and flavors at a reasonable cost. Today I had just a bit of trouble at the register with a few things ringing up, and Clarence treated me so kindly and gave me a bouquet of flowers for free for my trouble, even though it was hardly any trouble at all. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff is so incredibly nice and helpful. I found exactly what I was looking for. Crushed Fermented Calabrian peppers! They also have a sauce that I'm going to try that has fermented chilis in it. The food is better and cheaper than lots of other stores we are confined to using when in the city. The place was poppin' too! They have a very loyal customer in me! I just moved to Minneapolis from a place that doesn't have a trader Joe's within 90 miles. It's so nice having several in the area!

This is a fantastic store—it’s so much more spacious than your average Trader Joe’s so you don’t feel like you’re constantly trying to weave in between people. Parking too is a breeze. And I have to say, the staff here is also incredibly friendly and helpful. I’m devoted to my local coop, but have been stopping in here on occasion when I want some items I can’t find at my local store.

I know every time I shop at Trader Joe's I'm getting quality food that has not been genetically modified.. The prices definitely show this, by being a little bit higher than other places, but the cost is worth it!

It is a little on the smaller side, but that is to be expected of most downtown spots. The store is very clean. The aisles are nice and wide for convenient shopping, even during the busiest of times. The staff is very friendly, and the shoppers are equivalently friendly. If you like and trust Trader Joe's, this location will definitely meet, if not exceed, your standards and expectations.

Great parking situation too though you gotta get in and out in under an hour and don't forget to get your parking validated! Otherwise it'll cost you $20.

This Trader Joe's is located a block from my home which is super convenient. I love the flower selection however, I really wish we had more options for fresh fish, fresh meat, juices and water. We typically have to drive to another store for those.

I just want to say that all Trader Joe's are amazing but this location has one of the nicest staff I have ever met at any retail store. The store is clean, I felt safe as there are signs about Mask wearning and how, the young man at the door I missed his name was so kind and sweet and did a amazing job directing people in and ensuring they had clean stuff. We are staying at the Eliiot as tonight is our wedding night so we stopped to get some snacks for our room. Well a very nice young man brought me over some flowers to "brighten" our hotel room. This wonderful act of kindness absolutely meant the world to me! I work as a retail manger for a very large popular membership based warehouse and I feel like man kind has gone down lately. It made my night and and truly meant a lot! Thanks Trader Joes for having amazing employees.

Great variety of products. I love the frozen food selection, lots of healthy options for when you just don't want to cook. The produce was gorgeous and the meat selection was huge. There is parking in the garage next door, and they validate your ticket.

I recommended Trader Joe’s all the time. Even durn the pandemic, they are doing a wonderful job. They clean/ sanitize carts and machines after each use. They make sure the people are not to crowded. They are always respectful. I don’t think I will stop coming anytime soon.

This is a great Trader Joe's. Parking always seems to be a problem with TJ's but because so many people can walk to this one it's actually pretty easy to park. There is usually a very short line to get in because they cap the number of people inside, but the line moves quickly. The staff are friendly and helpful, too.

Very nice and clean grocery shop. I think the organic kale is a good deal and they have a lot of vegan options such as meatless meatball, meatless ground beef, meatless sausage. They don't seem to carry lab grown meat, which might be interesting to see in the store and try out.

It's a Trader Joe's. Personally my favorite grocery store even though they do have a couple of gaps in selection. Great house brand products and a great staff. During the Covid-19 era, Trader Joe's around town are more strict than others about regulating access with lines, but the waits usually aren't too bad.

Such a fun grocery store to shop in. I like looking around to see what unique items I can buy. The people working there seem to enjoy their job. The free parking is very nice and one of the reasons I stopped there.

The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. If something is out of stock on the shelf, just ask anyone that works there and they will go in back and more times than not find what you were looking for and being it out to you. They have very reasonable prices, especially for downtown. They have a free ramp you can park in, so no need to worry about finding a parking spot on the street or paying for a meter. And if you need to use the restroom, they have single person restrooms that are clean, spacious and environment friendly. Trader Joes is my fav grocery store.

Downtown's "Trader Joe's". I can imagine this is great for the walk-in warehouse district crowd, but i found it extremely easy to get-in & out while commuting through Minneapolis. Pick up flowers, sundries, natural foods. Very convienient and reasonable service. Staff will actually talk to you (as apposed to running away if you have a question) and they appear to enjoy working there. That says a lot. So glad to have found this store on my commute. Free parking (w/purchase & stamp-ticket) is easily available from the 3rd Ave N side. Just ask the check-out for a parking pass when you're ready to leave. I only wish they had a deli (or some small spot for coffee & a treat. Would be great to 'sit-out' the rush hour traffic).

Nice store, perfect location. Free parking, just get your ticket validated. As usual, for a Trader Joe's, they aisles are very wide so there is plenty of space to move around. I wish they stocked more, I would give up the wide aisles for that. The prices seem to be a little more expensive, but I'm sure the rent and taxes are higher in downtown Minneapolis. Lovely staff as usual. Plenty of fruit and veggies to choose from and a significant amount of organic products around the store. I have been there 3 times and will continue to go back.

The kimchi has an okay taste but honestly it is way too salty, which I've never experienced with kimchi but maybe I'm a novice. I would also recommend checking the dates on anything that is perishable, or otherwise just refrigerated instead of frozen. I've bought things that expired the next day, and it's not like I'm going to walk over there to return a burrito or something. Otherwise though they have a great selection, it's very unique, if you can't find something that you like there it's probably because you're broken. Aren't we all?

Love this store, but be careful with parking. I needed to do some major shopping, use the restroom and I'm indecisive... Therefore it was over an hour from the time I got there till I shopped, used the restroom, bought liquor and left. It only validates for an hour, which I didn't see until I was leaving. So, I had to pay $20 for parking to go grocery shopping! I'll be driving to the one in St Louis Park from now on. :-(

It's TJ's.. generally a great place. Just don't buy Sushi there, it's stale. I mean it's always stale, I've tried 7+ times over the course of a year to buy their sushi because I love sushi. It's nice that there's more Trader Joe's, so I don't have to go all the way out to St. Louis Park to get my reasonably priced but yet still delicious groceries. Plus they've got Stroopwafel now! Staff are super friendly and efficient which means short wait times even during evening rush hour. The store is brightly lit and has relatively spacious aisles especially considering that it's TJ's in a downtown location. It's close to the train which is great when it's nice out; during frigid winter months those with vehicles will benefit from the large parking lot. Major drawback stems from its proximity to US Bank Stadium - game day traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian, is terrible, so it's best to avoid shopping on those days.
