Reviews of TBS Mart Inc.
Good Indian store with all necessities. Grocery, spices, puja items, vegetables and meat also. I bought some daily used goods and they have a quite good stocks and with lots of choices. You can find frozen Indian food as well. Happy to find some Indian cooking pot and untensils there.
The best International grocery store in the state. They have a wide variety of Indian grocery. Very convenient location. They have a huge parking space. Staffs are very friendly and helpful!
Friendly people and a great international store! Less people may know that they have Afghan dry fruits, nuts, Afghan dresses and items. Overall you can find Afghan, Pakistani and Indian food items, spices and groceries.
The choice of foods here is amazing. The owner knows exactly what you’re looking for and answers your queries fast.
Few improvements can be made. But overall good shopping experience there.
There’s vegetables, dhals, grams, rice, coconut milk, biscuits, dates, chutneys, jams, pots and pans, frozen fish and different kinds of breads.
Rizwan and his staff were exceptional. Very nice staff. Was able to help me locate items quickly. Willing to go the extra mile to help. Delivery possible if you meet certain requirements agreed to in advance. Would strongly recommend TBS.
Very nice people good costumer service, fresh veggies, Fresh meat. Greasy bread and samosa’s🥟 …
Convenient store, friendly owner. Good for desi groceries
Nice indian store & allot of variety items there and kind employers and love this store
So many things don't have prices on them or aren't listed on the lists posted on the freezer doors BUT the selection is great, from garlic paste to fish (best price on tuna steaks!) to soap - or gripe water! The selection of beans and legumes alone, not to mention the spices, is as good as anyplace in the cities. Very fun to visit! Small business, so very worth supporting!
Lots of Indian items in a small place. They have improved their organization and place looks better now (Nov 2016). Down side is they still carry some expired stuff here and there and tiny insects in the rice you buy here. Less organic items. Veggies are fresh only on some days and dry or useless on other days. So if you are living close by go a few times when the stock comes. Good store owners and they are helpful and nice people.
Has a few Sri Lankan goods like MD chili sauce and hopper mix. It's nice to have found a place. There are very few online delivery options to get them.
Good collection of everything an Indian kitchen needs but the chicken they sell is stored for a long time i guess. It smells sometimes. And their lamb prices are high compared to the nearby stores.
Located in the heart of Bloomington, the location is quiet convenient. They do have a good selection for Indian grocery and fresh produce as well.
Most of their goods have a price tag on them thankfully unlike a lot of other Indian grocers in town who dont make that effort. Prices are pretty much at par with other South Asian grocery stores in the twin cities.
Good selection of fresh, frozen vegetables, meat, seafood, snacks, sweets, produce of every kind for Asian homes. I'd suggest a visit Fridays through weekend for best selection of fresh veggies.
Friendly owners cum staff, only suggestion is start honoring frequents with discounts.
Good place to do Indian grocery shopping especially Kerala grocery shopping. We usually go there once in a month and we generally purchase Rice, coconut milk, Indian snacks, tapioca etc. Not a good place to buy groceries available in american grocery store as it will be expensive here. Amble parking space available in front of the store.
Good shop to buy Indian groceries. Varieties are good. Rates are reasonable. Could be kept more clean and organized. Vegetable management can get better.
Awesome selection of spices and pickles and frozen items (idli, roti, vegetables, prepared dishes, sweets and more), along with fresh produce and a ton of salty snacks. And huge bags of rice. Makes me want to cook delicious things.
Despite the bad reviews (and I don't believe those now!), I visited TBS Mart today as it was just 5-10 mins from Mall of America (direct MT bus No. 5). And trust me, the shop had most of the Indian stuff we wanted. They had veggies (not so fresh and little variety), frozen stuff like paratha, rice, different pulses, flours and most of the food items available in any Indian mart. Prices were also in similar range. Not much variety in cosmetic and other Indian FMCG items though, and were little expensive.
Store is small, so items look piled up. You may not find price tags on several items, but they won't be overpriced for sure. The billing was automatic (bar-coded except for veggies) and was accurate, no issues at all. Overall, good experience. And very convenient for those visiting MOA.
Best Indian shop to get all spices, masala items, vegetables, frozen roti & ready to eat indian food. Their own rice batter standsout & dosa comes out really good.
This is specifically and Indian grocery Mart. You get all the spices, pickles, noodles, rice, and daily Indian grocery here , with Indian brands.
.
You can find here Archi pickles, Haldirams snacks, Ayurvedic medicine and much more from India .. feels like you are in India. .. and with affordable Prices!! :)
Basically an Indian store and has few options for other Asian folks. You get lots of good variety but poorly kept or arranged.
Since it is much sort out place they take things for granted and have not organised it well at all.
The guy at the billing counter!! Never smiles!! May be some problem.... ;)
This isn't such a bad place. It is very conveniently located as far as I'm concerned. Their inventory is not too bad either. Not too sure about all the negative reviews - may need to take it with a handful of salt. Stuff seems to move and they restock regularly - I bump into people restocking items every so often (I go there quite often). In any case, if you have a specific set of things you're looking for (frozen items, dals, masala ramen, snacks etc) and generally have the same / similar grocery list week in and week out, this place is more than adequate.
Its a good enough neighborhood India store. It has all the regular Indian food items. I go every time here only as I am in Edina and this one is only one near by which has most of the required items. .
This place has the best variety of Indian grocery items in the twin cities. Prices are amazing and it is stocked with alot of thing that I would find in India!
It has good collection of Indian products. Sometimes the Vegetables are not very fresh though. It is the closest indian store to my house and hence the only option.
The price is a little higher than other Indian grocery stores in the area. But this is the only store I found in twin cities which carries a wide variety of Sri Lankan food. Hence the 4 stars.
It has decent collection of Indian groceries, can get most of the items needed for Indian cooking. Staff behave unfriendly when it comes to return any items.
I docked a point because their curry leaves are not as nice as at Little India. They do carry dosa batter and a huge assortment of grinders and other useful gadgets.
Sometimes there are flies around the vegetables and the bins the vegetables are kept In haven’t been replaced in a while. The floors were discolored however they recently refinished the floor. Place looks better today.
one of best Indian food store in town. lots of variety food to select. competitive prices and availability of products all time.
Very good variety of indian + middle east asian food store, I love it and price is pretty reasonable.
Good collection of India and Asian goods .
Have almost everything in stock whenever I visited .
Not enough space inside store , you will have to maneuver yourself and the cart .
Good:
Nice to have an Indian grocery store close by
Variety of food and other Indian products
Bad:
They keep expired products on self to maximize profits
The people are rude and unhelpful
Sometimes the place is not clean
Good place to buy all kinds of Indian groceries. But I believe certain items are overly priced.
Many of the times I don't get the items I look for. But overall a nice Indian grocery store.
Great place to find Sri Lankan grocery items including MD products, rathu hal, string hopper mix and variety of other Sri Lankan groceries.
Wide Range of Indian Grocery items at nominal price, Good Customer service and helpful in suggesting alternatives.
All range of Indian groceries are available. Utensils are too costly to buy here. Otherwise great.
Solid place with nice options and variety. Produce can be hit or miss on both quality and price.
The best Indian grocery store in the twin cities, especially for food from Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Good varieties of Indian grocery items available. Fresh vegetables availability is a concern.
Great collection of Indian grocery items. You will find puja items as well in this store.
Be very careful in buying the goods from here. There are lot of items almost in expiring conditions.. I would suggest go for items that you cannot get anywhere else!!
Good store with most Indian groceries and only one with Kerala snacks and masalas
Good for shopping Indian spices and food items.
Shop is small with narrowly spaced racks.
Good for Desi groceries, please make sure the packing date before buying anything.
You will find most of Indian items but do not expect much from customer service.
Pretty good selection, not much for produce, and many items dont have a price.
Good to know that they have plenty of Indian spices.
I go here for Indian groceries that are popular among keralites and the halal chicken. Service can be improved.
Indian grocery store. Fresh veggies every week. 1 stop shop for all Indian grocery needs
Many Indian items are available under the same roof. The owner lady is a nice and kindhearted lady.
Fantastic selection of every ingredient you'll need for Indian coming
It has pretty much great collection of all Indian food.
