Reviews of Mill City Farmers Market
This was a neat experience for my family! Reasonable prices for the meat! Had the pizza and it was delicious! Fun atmosphere with different types of music playing. People were very friendly. The produce and flowers were just BEAUTIFUL!
We love the Farmers Market and its conveniently located just blocks away from our home. They have everything from coffee, to flowers , to donuts, to pies, to rugs. Today we are finally able to indulge so I got a few slices of pie, bought the wife flowers and got her Gluten free, Diary free Popsicles! She has Celiac Disease so it was a nice find.
A definite must to check out Saturday morning, come around 8:30-9am then the vendors should be fully set up
saturday morning isn’t complete without a stop at the mill city farmer’s market! we’ve enjoyed the variety of vendors, from veggies to prepared foods and other items. our go to is a stop for a bagel sandwich and a croissant! start with a solid breakfast and pick everything you need up for dinner!
Tons of variety in a wonderful setting! We especially appreciate that there are a number of vegan options available from the food vendors
Decent variety of stands but long lines and fairly crowded. The area is beautiful but there aren’t many stands to purchase from and almost no where to sit unless you go around the guthrie!
It was a fairly typical farmers market. Parking was on the more difficult side and naturally was paid. There are enough venders to make it worthwhile but it lacked a wow factor. Prices across the board were fine. I'd go again, but the hassle of parking and the selection you get doesn't really inspire.
This is my favorite part of Minneapolis to visit: Mill ruins Park. If you're ever there on a Saturday morning be sure to stop by The Mill City Farmers Market. Looking to buy bundles of fresh-cut flowers, locally made crafts, ice cream, specialty pasta, rugs, and veggies!
This is my favorite place to go during the summer for vegetables. I love getting to know the vendors who are all local. I love knowing what I buy directly helps Minnesota small farms and businesses. My favorite places are the Sunshine Harvest Farms for meat and eggs, Horner's Corner for maple syrup, and the Ames Farms honey.
06/15/2019 The atmosphere at this market is very positive. I have enjoyed fresh cooked food at the local food truck institutions. Highly recommended for high quality food items.
The food booths have wonderful things, the fall harvest is beautifully displayed and the setting is rich.
makes for a delightful Saturday morning!! so much variety in what's for sale and it's all so good. perf vibes
I'm lucky that this market is right in my neighborhood. Fresh herbs, organic meat, lical products, friendly vendors. What not to love about it.
They have good stuffs going on, but I find the area to be rather small and choices to be limited. I went in and out in a few minutes after getting the fresh bread and pastries.
If you're a health nut, you'll love it. If you need grease for breakfast, avoid it.
What a lovely place on a Saturday morning! High quality offerings from farmstands and food vendors. Beautiful vistas of the riverfront and adjacent architecture. A bikeway to ride and a sprawling park right there. This is a fine place to take visitors to show off a slice of the city.
Such great diverse items to chose from and excellent prices! Total reccomend the Market to support locally!
Fresh produces omg I got 8 beautiful tomatoes for $5. Fresh broccoli cauliflower and they smell so home grown. Check them out Saturday from 9am til 1pm.
I love the Mill City Farmers' Market. Have been going there for many years, getting fresh meats and eggs from Sunshine Harvest Farm, as well as the tasty turkey momo's from the Gorkha Palace tent.
Mill City Farmers Market is one of our favorite Saturday morning outings! Come for breakfast, coffee, people/dog watching, or a walk along the Mississippi River and the Stone Arch Bridge, maybe a visit to the Mill Museum. It's awesome. On top of that the produce and the flowers are incredible! You won't be disappointed.
This is a great place to take a look at. If yo ujsee the PGFY juices I highly recommend it.
Best of east downtown among the new condos. Wonderful morsels from outstate Minnesota.
Many vendors are in a shaded area, which is so nice on hot sunny mornings. The choices for a little breakfast or lunch while you're shopping are fantastic and the food artisans and craft vendors selling alongside the local farmers makes this market a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning. I parked in a lot across the street and it only cost me three dollars. Bonus!
Very nice farmers market. Lots of variety and high quality produce. There was a very interesting home bread bakers festival with tasting of all breads open to the public. I will be back for future events at this farmers market.
Love it my Market ✌🏾💜🙏🏾🇺🇲 …
Great farmers market. I was able to pick up some interesting apples and pears. Fresh baked goods as well. Really lucky to have been here at that time. Wish I had something like this closer to me. Very well put together.
Plenty of fresh produce, baked goods, honey, jams, syrups, flowers and many other items. There are also several food and drink vendors for a cup of coffee or quick bite to eat. It’s a lovely way to spend your Saturday morning. The only downfall is it’s usually quite packed.
A good variety of local products. Must get the momos. Excellent bouquet selection.
Farmers market and food vendors. Fun Saturday morning activity.
Worth going and risking heat stroke amidst the recent heat wave to get an almond croissant at Solomon's Bakery. So many delicious things at that one vender !
Awesome. Great vendors and good vibes!
The vendors change on a weekly basis so it's good to check before you go if you're looking for specific items. Truly a wonderful farmers market with a wide array of options for food, snacks, produce, and handmade goods.
Not the most convenient farmer's market to get to, but this is a great way to spend a Sat. morning. There are lots of artisan craft booths to stop by and browse, tons of food choices, a food truck that serves up great food. Lots of great local food growers to pick really great ingredients.
Such a lovely farmer's market! Wide variety of vendors, plenty of veg, breads, and meats to choose from. Everyone was very friendly. Definitely will be a weekly trip for me.
May 2021.
Good product but expensive.
Be careful with distanciation safety rules
Cute little market with everything from food to flowers to home goods to clothes. Always have food trucks and music, which makes it more enjoyable! My favorite part is they partner with Augsburg College to deliver left over produce to shelters in the Cedar Riverside area. VERY COOL!!
Best farmers market in the Twin Cities. Not as much produce as other markets, but what they have is excellent. Meat, cheese, Maple syrup, jams, juices, makers selling their crafts (weavings, ceramics, jewelry, woodwork, etc.). Great atmosphere!
We got the veggies momos (dumplings) and mango lassi (smoothie) from Ghorka Palace's stand, and then walked around grabbing some affordable tomatoes, rhubarb, and green leafy veggies for salad. Good variety of vendors, everyone was friendly, and the signage was well marked to control the flow of people to allow for more social distancing due to COVID-19. A great visit for a Saturday afternoon.
Live music, helpful information desk, a map of all of the vendors, plenty of room to sit, so many sweet dogs with good owners, accessible bathrooms available, and an awesome view of the Mississippi. We had so much fun bringing our baby with us!
Excellent variety without over saturation. Unique vendors without too much overlap. A perfect market for a quick visit that you could choose to get lost in if the day called for it.
Mill City is a fabulous market. You can absolutely be assured, if you buy it there you have bought from the producer, whether it's produce, culinary ingredients, or the arts. I admit bias, I'm a vendor there. 🍁🍁🍁 …
Had a good time. WAY to many dogs. When food and drinks are being served and on display, no healthy. It's an accident waiting to happen.
Just so you know, I am an animal lover but I keep my animals home when I go to market.
Love this farmer's market, though, the prices seem a bit more expensive than other farmer's markets (i.e. green beans $8 here, only $5 at the Bloomington farmer's market). It has awesome food trucks and you really can't beat the view of the river.
Much smaller than expected and be ready to spend a lot if you want to get stuff. Much better farmers markets out there but the location of this one is great
A nice location but rather thin on vendor stalls. There are also many more vendors selling manufactured products (cosmetics, perfumes, etc.) than there are stalls selling produce.
I love taking friends to this farmers market. The mango lassi's are tangy and refreshing, and Solomon's bakery cannot be beat!
Asian grower fantastic vegetables with many varieties of dried beans.
Best for me was vendor with herbal vinegars. Spent a lot of time with her and then didn't! Get back to buy anything. I need to know which vendor she is. Didn't find her on the map. Can someone help me here.
Super cute farmers market. Not huge, but decent selection. Great location. Runs smoothly.
Only got to go a few times before Winter this year. Excited to enjoy more of this Market next spring/summer! Great place to enjoy a Saturday morning!!
Absolutely love this farmers market. Great location, live music, prepared food, and ingredients for an at home meal. Less crowded than the other farmers market in town
This is our favorite farmers market. Local and organic items with a great view!! All of this comes at a higher price, but well worth it!!
Great setting for a farmers market. I love this market because it has a great view and large variety of booths. A great place for lunch or gathering materials to go home and make lunch!
I'm spoiled because my hometown has one of the BEST farmer's markets in the country (Madison, WI), but the Mill City market has a nice selection of produce, prepared food, and handcrafted items.
Fun place to "breakfast snack" at. Lots of GF and vegan options. Additionally, my we end up buying several pounds of organic vegetables every time.
Great place for Saturday breakfast! Lots of peripheral items, could use more actual produce
This is a must do in the twin cities! An advice is to grab a bite at the beginning, find an open spot in the stairs and enjoy the live entertainment. The bread at spots in the entrance is the best!
This farmers market is one of the best I've been too. Plenty of diversity in vendors and nothing was overly expensive. Clean, plenty of seating.
Altough on the expensive side, we love the variety of specialty food items and go as often as possible. Being in the historic mill museum setting is perfect.
Seems to be a very nice happening place..a bit pricey though.
There is a large variety of items at Mill City and some special items that you will not find at other farmer"s markets. The prices are higher than other markets in the Cities but quality is very good.
Great farmers market, so many nice places to shop and very nice people.
Pretty awesome, pricy but great quality.
Not too crowded, they respect social distance and masks. Great local produce, meat and other wonderful products!
Maybe I am one of those people who think this place is overrated... by "overrated" I mean things are overly priced and it is very inconvinient to get cash around the area. But if you love to support local farmers, this is where you will enjoy.
DO NOT sign up for the text club on the main site offering to send you alerts about the market. It's a scam and keeps sending you ads. Haven't been to the actual farmer's market yet but hope to this summer.
Great farmers market. It's on the small end as compared to other city farmer markets, but they have good things here.
Cute dogs, good food, and a good atmosphere. On the first Saturday of the month a Guthrie actor reads children's books which I love.
Great produce on offer. Lots of small vendors selling hot food, baked goods, and coffee. Pricey but delicious.
Lots of fresh veggies, music, coffee and the best Northern Fires pizza!
A historic place for a good morning shop and walk.
Lots of yummy things to buy, like honey, scones, maple syrup, fruits, and veggies :)
A great location to get a variety of locally grown and raised foods, both prepared and unprepared, and (mostly) local handicrafts. On the pricier side of things, for a farmer's market.
Wonderful urban farmers market. Food and craft artisans. Amazing pastries and breads. Cheese. Honey. Both winter and summer markets.
Best farmers market in the Twin cities
FABULOUS!!!!! LOVE this market. Looking forward to a week of MN Farmers Market salads. Each week I get to add new freshness. This week: green beans.
You can buy tokens with your credit card, so no cash needed. Good variety of produce, meats, and some hot foods.
It was so much fun walking around and seeing all the fruits and veggies that are growing here in Minnesota the diffrent people who were there and all the dogs it was so busy but a lot of fun
Nice little market. I mostly stop by for eggs, Sift Gluten Free baked goods, and a few veggies every couple weeks.
It’s super fun for people and dogs and every once in a while when I go there are 2 cello girls there and they are the best musicians ever
Great food from local farms including more than one kind of honey. Mill-City and river views are fantastic right by the Guthrie.
Only on truck sale meat and one sale fish.
Selection of veggies is limited. The good news is that now we have milk.
Wonderful market with all kinds of things you need. Great entertainment friendly vendors without all the riff raff of other larger markets.
Favorite farmers market in Minneapolis...nistler corn and Horner's corner maple syrup are amazing!
Great atmosphere and variety of vendors. Parking is a bit rough but it is a wonderful farmers market!
It's pretty small and crowded. Not much fresh food or parking.
Got the prettiest flowers here!
Wonderful farmers market. Everything is higher end, they had Guthrie theater people reading childrens' one weekend.
This market is amazing and you may end up finding lot of items not found in other farmer's market but the prices here are a bit higher than other farmer's market in Minnesota
The chai was good, but the sandwich was amazing - especially the tomatoes
Best farmers market. Lots of things other than produce. Amazing cheese and the fire pizza is a must have.
Nice. Local. A mix of hipster and bougie. Spendier than other markets but maybe a bit better curated.
Fun way to spend a Saturday morning downtown! Market staff are kind & helpful! Impressive market with something for everyone.
Ots a little bit smaller but a really nice and diverse farmers market
The mill city st the Commons is very beautiful. It's central location makes it easy to walk to from my office.
Gr8 location. Love the mushroom guy. Wish they had More food trucks stop by. Foxy Falafel would be nice.
If you go here as an event for lunch and crafts, then it's great. If you go here for veggies and variety you'll be sorely disappointed.
Great farmers market with lots of good stuff to be had. I recommend the pizza place.
It was so much fun lots of beautiful produce and was a great place for a day out taking photos
Great produce for top dollar. Good MN stuff if price is no object.
Great croissants it's a bit spendy but it's there every time and they have a great crowd
Fresh and local. However, probably not the cheapest. There's a great selection of produce, flowers, and food to eat.
Wonderful location, great vendors, good mix of products and a perfect way to start a Saturday.
As a vendor of roasted hazelnuts & hazelnut skin care oil, it has been an excellent venue for sales.
Incredible selection, plenty of parking, easy to navigate. Loved it
Northern Fire's pizza rocks!! Highly recommend "the dude"!!
Awesome Market with friendly people. Get there earlier. Food is great.
Nice selection of food vendors and fresh produce and baked goods.
Fun market with a great variety of artisans, food, and vegetables. Slightly more expensive than some of the markets.
Great food. Loved the booth with pickle dips I think it’s called Darling pickle dips!
Great place to spend a Saturday morning. Lots of cool vendors
Very nice! Plenty of vendors, food carts, and other things to buy and look at
Touristy and the price goes up every time you search but other wise okay prices....wish we could get a discount for being local. Maybe next year.
Great Farmers market for variety... Music, food trucks, great for kids.
Nice variety of produce and baked goods and wonderful people!
Parking is a question every time we go but a good variety of vendors
Great farmers market in a beautiful setting.
Lovely market. Loads of great meats and vegetables.
Great organic local produce. Check out Northern Fires Pizza in the summer.
Decent selection of vendors. Especially enjoy the food truck.
Make sure to come here for the amazing kiss my cabbage kraut and the spicy himalayan sauce from ama's.
Small but cool.little farmers market, would recommend for the view
Excellent market with amazing variety of products, all of them good for you!
awesome farmers marked right near downtown. they have activities for kids to get involved.
Favorite twin cities farmers market with excellent produce
Everything here is wonderful! Definitely stop by the honey and maple syrup stalls!
Great farmers market right downtown with free yoga on Saturdays!
Fall was in the air today. Another fun day at the Market.
A nice mix of garden produce, flowers, ready to eat food and live music.
It wasn't very big, and the prices seem pretty high. Parking can be challenging.
If you want really good pickles go to Martha's joy here
They have a bit of everything. Plus it’s always changing.
Great option for local farmers and vendors
Nice farmers market. Great location, and great options.
Nice
Loved the experience! Will be going again next week 😁 …
Great variety! Gorgeous place
Awesome selection of produce, meats and natural products.
Great for fresh produce in season
Enough vendors for a quick stop to get the essential.
Start of the winter market.
Higher prices by about 25 - 30% than the NE farmers market.
A great reason to wake up early every Saturday morning.
So many great vendors with a wide selection!
Lovely atmosphere, but pricey
Great farmers market and reasonable prices!
Tasty organic offerings in a State Fair-like atmosphere
