Reviews of Lunds & Byerlys Nokomis
This grocery store is so nice and new. I went here one right for a quick snack. They have the cutest quarter gallon of milk which hit the spot. The place is kept so clean. There is a bathroom available for public use inside. There is a parking lot off of cedar. Everyone working was super friendly and helpful. Great place to stop in for quick things.
Solid Lunds and so excited for this missing location for us Southside residents. I've been a NE and Highland Lunds shopper for years with stops at pretty much all of them. This one is smaller space wise, but I think it has a ton of great features and I didn't notice a thing missing. (Poke bowl was great!) This has a more in and out feel like Downtown or NE, not the slow and spacious feel of Highland or the big burbs locations.
They don't have a liquor store, not surprisingly, but there's Cork Dork in the same parking lot if you need it and Carbone's as well. So glad they have paper bags, not all Lunds do. Checkout is a great mix of lanes and self checkout plus another one near the food bar. Staff were all fantastic like every Lunds.
Parking was great. Turning left from Cedar if coming from the north is not the nightmare people make it out to be. There is a turn lane, so you not blocking Cedar traffic. You can always take Bloomington to Minnehaha and up Cedar to avoid it, but then you have to stop at that light and make a left which is worse. If you're coming from the south then you'll just be making a left when you leave which can be tricky.
The Southside street named aisles are a sweet touch. Loving my new Lunds so far!
I love Lunds and Byerly's and I normally go earlier in the day for their salad bar! I went later this Sunday evening on November 27th of 2022 and inflation is definitely real! I believe that this upper class grocery establishment has things extremely overpriced from going to your standard bigger chains. Knowing my items pretty well I would say 60 to 70% of their items are on an average between $1.50 and $2 more! Much respect but I think I'll just be going for the salad bar from here on out
TL;DR, Has what you need. Well located. Clean. Friendly Staff. Limited parking. Highly recommend.
I've been really excited about this Lunds opening, and I wasn't disappointed. It has a small footprint, so it may not have a niche item or the exact brand you're looking for, but it has all of the basics and plenty of specialized things like take and bake pizzas or sriracha aioli. Additionally, they have fun infographics explaining things like what the various herbs or mushrooms they have for sale taste like and how to cook them, which seemed like a really fun touch.
Of course it is still new, but it was very clean despite having a huge rush opening day and having regular traffic coming through. Every worker I met was very friendly and seemed to go above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. For example, I hadn't signed up for their Extras program and couldn't because of poor service in the store. Their manager came over and offered to call their help desk to sign me up on the spot.
The only downside I saw was the limited parking and the likelihood that it will back up traffic on Cedar Ave. I've been able to get a parking spot each time and didn't have much trouble getting around the lot in the evening, but I could see it getting a bit hectic.
All in all, A+! Check it out!
Great for “get it quick” grocery shopping. Very clean, modern and friendly environment. Amazing bakery and large hot prepared food section. They offer American cuisine with a build-your-own Taco & Gyro bar. I do have to subtract one star for the very small Parking lot.
One of my go to spots for groceries. One star off for parking, but the service is otherwise amazing! Memo in produce is very professional and was so helpful at my last visit.
It's Wednesday and I will be picking up my favorite $6 sushi. I love this smaller store. Staff is always helpful, and parking is always easy.
Little smaller than the typical Lunds & Byerlys, but still was very nice. Only problem is getting in and out of the parking lot due to the location of it being right on the corner of busy intersection. You can end up waiting 5 minutes just to exit that parking lot.
Good location, good selection, small parking lot, but there is nearby street parking
The highest quality Lunds hot bar. Best hot bar in the Twin Cities out of any grocery store!
Attractive store with helpful staff in a convenient location at the intersection of two well traveled streets. Like all Lunds & Byerlys the prices are higher than we're used to at the local warehouse store so we'll probably only shop here occasionally when we need a few items. For the big weekly haul we'll go elsewhere. On the other hand they do carry some esoteric items that are hard to find in most grocery stores. Self checkout is convenient and fast, and they take Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Love the new Lunds & Byerlys location being nearby. Parking is limited, but they have a great selection for being a smaller store. Remember to bring your reusable shopping bags, Minneapolis charges for plastic grocery bags.
Inventory for store didn’t match at all the inventory on DoorDash. Additionally the store is very small and has limited selection. Probably good if you need to pop in and grab some thing, but if you’re doing series grocery shopping, you may want to go someplace else.
Have shopped at Lunds for years. I always enjoy the premium service which of course comes with premium prices. I was disappointed waiting in a longer than usual line to check out. One lane with a cashier was open while several self checkout lanes were open. I don't use self checkout lanes because I feel they take jobs away from people. Besides, if I'm going to shop at a premium store with premium prices, I don't want to be expected to do an employee's job for free. Higher prices should come with great customer service. Maybe hire more cashiers or discount every item that goes through the self checkout lanes. 🤔
This smaller store is perfect for parking close and running in quick. I can also take my time and do a large shopping trip! Clean store, friendly staff.
Beautiful new store, so happy to have in the neighborhood. The deli/bakery is huge and everything I've tried so far had between delicious. I recommend the roasted corn salad, grab some for your next taco night.
If you're coming from the north, turn at the light and go in to the parking lot through the back its much easier.
Junior-size store doesn't stock the full line of products, and still out-of-stock on items I came for.
I love the new store. It is keeping with the LB brand but on a smaller scale. I will use this store as quick shop in between larger grocery store/Costco visits. My only complaint, which I have addressed with staff on several occasions, is there are no cell phone repeaters inside the building. I have zero service when shopping (this is extremely rare) and therefore have no access to my online grocery list or health app. This should have been something that was taken care of on day 1 and is not difficult to fix. I'll update my 3 stars when this is fixed.
Love it. I finally got to go in. I usually go to the one on Hennepin ave:)
It's super hard to turn into the store parking lot if coming from the north. Parking is limited during weekends. Inside, everything is clean and new. Nice, smaller selection of food items you are used to seeing from other Lunds. Friendly staff and tasty food bar.
The staff especially the cashier's, friendly and caring.
It's still got that new store smell!
I noticed there are a few products missing compared to some of their other locations, but they managed to fit quite a bit into a small space.
The automatic hand washing station by the salad bar is a nice touch.
Cedar already suffers from major traffic control issues, I suggest during high traffic volumes to exit the parking lot Hiawatha Golf Course side, for your sanity.
Cedar really needs to be 3 lanes.
2 going north/south with a dedicated turning lane.
Traffic isn’t as bad as I expected. Actually pretty easy in and out. I really like the store, has what I need for last minute shopping 🛍 …
Probably the least liked Lund's & Byerly's I ever visited. It just didn't have that good aura I experience in the neighboring suburban stores. The employees probably are not happy with management. That's only an assumption. I gave it 4 stars due to only shopping there once and it's just not fair to judge people at one location after only having one interaction.
Kinda underwhelming. The bike parking options are poor. They don’t sell boar’s heads meats in the deli and I was told they have no plans to. I also thought one of the managers in the deli was rude and dismissive to the employee helping me. Since it’s new there are a LOT of managers and higher ups standing around in this rather small space.
I love LB. Extras, huge deals. Friendly staff.
Lunds they sure knew what they were doing when they did this. The best meats produce, breads home cooked meals to purchase daily good quality meals and there staff for the most part is always Helpful yes a tad bit more expensive than other choices but with this situation you really get what you pay for.
Falafel bar always yummy and handicap accessible
Niceastore - disappointed they did not have baskets only carts
Although the prices are a bit higher here than at many other grocery stores, the customer service and quality of food is really good, so I still feel like I’m getting my money’s worth.
Happy it's here! People keep complaining about parking and traffic. Well it's Minneapolis, not the suburbs. There is far more parking here then there is at the 5 closest grocery stores/markets and traffic is only temporarily increased due to the fact they are still in construction of the apartment building. Let's let things chill out for a bit and for them to open back up the 35 to 94 ramp before jumping to conclusions. It's a big upgrade to what was before. Let's just be happy a local company like this has invested in this community.
A smaller Lunds but doesn’t lack on the items you may need. Excellent location for hot and salad bar. The parking will become problematic as more people venture out at the lake.
This store has a very innovative layout. As usual it's Lunds Byerlys the best grocery stores ever. I have been shopping at these stores since I learned to walk.
Nice new store.
Lots of helpful staff.
I'll be shopping there often.
Amy in the Cheese Department is awesome!
great food, staff selection.
crazy traffic location, makes me very unlikely to drive thru there - too many cars and turns and pedestrians. accidents seem likely, here.
Staff were helpful and I found exactly what I was looking for.
Convenient parking. Great display of products. Helpful and pleasant staff at the self checkout. We'll be shopping there again!
Nice, quality products, the staff is helpful.
Smallish specialty grocery store. Great bakery, deli, and ready to eat food bar. Great service, and best place to get ingredients for a dinner party.
The meat department is exceptional. Friendly employees! This place needs seven stars.
I'm glad it part of the neighborhood. We've been missing a grocery store for awhile now. Good selections and the food bar is great.
Great variety of items. Great Deli
I love having Lunds so close now so I can bike there love their shrimp and their triple chocolate brownies
The second time I've stopped just for flowers, and I got the orange roses I needed.
Nice, friendly, small
Expensive, did I say expensive....marked up from even the other Lunds and Byerlys prices....
I was shocked looked for the manager to ask why but gave up.
It’s nice for a Lunds, but it loses two stars for bad parking, no boars head. I’ll change it if parking and traffic change when they’re done with construction.
Clean new store. Smaller than anticipated so it doesn't seem to carry as much as other stores is the only reason I docked a star.
This is a newer store within walking distance of my home. The only complaint I have is there is no bakery service there.
Could use a better parking lot, but is what you expect from a Lunds and Byerlys.
An amazing variety of foods! Loved the deli.
The store has great food, getting into and out of the parking lot sucks!!!
Convenient and they're so kind in this store. Plus, I made a request for an item they didn't carry and now they have it in stock.
Such friendly employees. Easy to find every choice of products you could want.
Has everything I need, but the parking isn't the greatest. Trying to exit on Cedar can be difficult
Love this store!
Nice, organized, clean, the hot food options are always fresh.
Great grocery store
Its a nice store. There is no internet (no cell of wifi). Which makes checking your list impossible.
Good store, solid Lund's location
Good steak. But, largely overpriced.
Nice staff, clean like the new store it is
Very handy right by the parkway and on my way home from work
Good missing a few items like efferent.
Awesome grocery store!
Beautiful store and very friendly associates.
Love their weekday hot bar
Very nice and new and lots of helpful people there
Super expensive
High quality but reflected in the prices.
So expensive but great stuff.
New and clean and attentive employees.
Excellent clean price good

Staff very helpful very respectful
A great addition to the neighborhood!
Very nice place I enjoy it
So happy it's here!
Wonderful new location!
What can I say, it's Lunds & Byerlys.
The deli is the BEST!
Great addition to the neighborhood
Average grocery store
Bourgeois but gucci
Amazing Hot Bar!!!!
One Word, FRESH!

Very clean.
Pricier than your average grocery store but the quality and convenience merits it. Love to treat myself here!
