This is a much smaller grocery store than I am used to but they have everything a family needs. Every staff member I interacted was very courteous and helpful. Items are a bit pricier but convenience and some good quality deli selections would cover that. Recommended.

Awesome medium sized grocery store with staffed meat counter, cheese counter, and deli. Manager is nice and helpful. Fish are ethically sorced. Staff are polite and have a union. Produce quality is excellent. Lots of lunch snacks, pre-made sushi, salad bar ect if you're grabbing lunch. There's also a caribou to grab a coffee inside and a little tented seating area in the parking lot. Their app is actually pretty good and helpful. They have multiple cashiers and self checkout. And they have an atm. It's almost feels like a coop except the community owned part. Only negatives are that the isles are skinny and hard to navigate more than 1 cart through so maybe come at not peak times if you have a wheel chair or need a cart? And I wish they carried more meat alternatives like Field Roast products. The beyond beef brats has been decimated all summer it seems. Also Field Roast has amazing mini corn dogs I am sorely missing.

I love Lunds! This is my STORE! EXCEPT FOR THE AWEFUL OFF DUTY DRUGSTORE EMPLOYEE MAKING HORRID AND INSULTING COMMENTS and admitting she is actively spreading covid and then insulting my husband for buying a covid test! She said she was from “Jersey” as though that’s an excuse to be a horrible human. She said her kids have covid now and she “isn’t masking or vaccinated.” Actively telling my husband he was dumb for buying a test! And the other employee she was talking down to, next to my husband, is clearly in the vulnerable population who would not handle covid well. Horrible! This woman should be fired. And not allowed to interact with vulnerable people or customer service ever.

High prices without the quality to back it up. Can get the same stuff at a lower-priced grocery store, with more options on top. There's one particular cashier that's obsessed with asking about my apartment and how much I like/dislike it. Not my topic of choice at the checkout. Three stars because it is relatively compact with reasonable layout and product options for the size of the store, plus a liquor store just behind it in the parking lot. This place is more about convenience than actual quality or good prices.

The store is clean and well-organized. However, if I choose to wait a couple minutes to take my 2 items to a self-checkout instead of going to an open cashier, that should be just fine. I don't want the pressure or directions to go to the cashier instead. I made my choice.

Excellent customer service!!! I had to return an unopened kimchi jar which contained fish sauce (brought my receipt) and the manager let me have the brand without fish sauce for free AFTER refunding me, so I was able to get the blueberries on sale (Thursday deal). Overall the prices are high, but the quality of the food is far superior than that of other stores, especially the fresh produce (Whole Foods comes as close second).

The store is always clean, the produce always looks great, the hot bar is amazing as well as the cold bar, staff is always nice and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I love this place. Not the place to go if your a shopper on the hunt for bargains or a dollar shelve because with this shopping experience comes a price tag.

One of my favorite locations. It's quick and convenient. I drive over for lunch during work and can usually get what I want. I say usually because they need to make sure to have the crispy brussel sprouts on the salad bar at all times. All locations need to make this a requirement! So good!

Nice and clean but spendy. They have a excellent selection of cheese and olives. If you want a quick bite they have a excellent salad bar with fresh soups every day. Very friendly workers and they have a great liquor store as well.

This Lynda & Byerlys location is clean, bright, and has a pleasant atmosphere. The produce section has been well-stocked with fresh products every time I've ever visited. They offer a large variety of high-quality bakery items as well as a salad bar & hot food buffet. I've always been impressed with their variety of items; despite the fact that the chain carries many upper-end, more expensive products, they also always have a huge selection of weekly sale items that are affordable.

It's an alright grocery store but I think their prepared foods are kind of crappy. I know it's a small store but they have no packages for normal sized croissants, if you want them you have to buy them one at a time from a display case. It's also hit or miss if they'll have the item you want. I was able to fine cornbread one day and love it, never seen it again since. However they got any kind of sad looking cake slices you want.

I love the offerings in this store, and I make the deli salad/sandwiches and buffet bar a regular stop for picking up a healthy and delicious lunch. Prices are a bit higher than normal, but it is downtown, so I guess that is to be expected. IMO, this area was a bit of a food desert until this store showed up, so bravo!

For me it is all about location and convenience. It is a block from where I attend school. Sometimes after class I walk over there and grab a bite to eat. They have seating where I can enjoy my food, do my homework, listen to music, just take a break. When I am done I can pick up a few necessities before I head home. Their prices are a little higher than I normally like to pay but remember my trips there are all about convenience.

Very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and quick to help. Very conveniently located in downtown Minneapolis. I came in one day to purchase some meat for a party. The employee at the deli counter let me sample 3 different deli meats and gave me a thorough description of each. Prices are high though, it's not an Aldi.

High end grocery in a fantastic location with a healthy amount of parking. If you are entering or exiting downtown Minneapolis on the western side of downtown this should be the place you are getting your groceries. I personally love their high end cheese selection. Their knowledgeable staff helps me create a nice complementary cheese plate and the service is exceptional. I also want to give them props for having an electric car charging station. Highly recommended!

I have had the best experience here. I always come to get my food here. Today i passed the chef as he was bring in fresh food and saw how dried out the green beans I had served myself were. I stop in often to this location and always have exceptional customer service from your cashier team! I was especially lucky this evening to have "Zeke" / Ezekiel as my cashier, however - as I had forgotten two items at checkout and he actually hurried out after me as I left the store to make sure I didn't leave them behind. Not only was he extremely friendly and upbeat, but he also went way out of his way to help me. I hadn't been feeling very well, and this made my night!

Very convenient location and great service. I came in and wanted to buy some fruit, the cashier asked me if I was sure and I was a little confused and she showed me how much they would cost (huge price increase because of market value) and she said she doesn't want people to be surprised when they look at their receipt. I didn't buy that specific item and am very appreciative of how proactive and honest she was.

I'm so glad that Lunds & Byerly's opened a store in this location. It's very convenient, and the selection of products available clearly caters to grab-and-go meals for lunch. Low-prep items are great for those of us who live in nearby apartments with tiny kitchens! Unfortunately the wraps and sandwiches are still a bit mediocre and sometimes soggy. Also, more bike parking would be great.

I eat here about twice a week as I go to night school downtown. The store itself is smaller than typical so it offers less selection. It is a lunds so expect to pay more. The hot food is always great. The sushi is fresh and gets top marks on the grocery store sushi category. Despite being expensive the salad bar is expansive and the deli is delicious with lots sandwich choices. Pretty sure hot food and salad is 8.99 a pound.

Don't let the small footprint of the store fool you - this is the most efficiently stocked & serviced Lunds & Byerlys in the city. Their staff are amazing & friendly, they have a definite team vibe. The self-checkout is a life saver for quick lunch trips.

Big selection for a small store! Tasty deli sandwiches, salads are good & various. The hot foods tend to be neglected once loaded in the steam tables. Extras: nice restrooms, coffee shop, seating/eating area, a RedBox, a flower/houseplant Dept., indoor parking!

This chain is known for good produce, bakery and meat. They are more expensive than some other chain grocers, but generally have higher quality products that justify the prices. This location is conveniently located downtown. They offer delivery (not from this location) and pickup.

I come here for the deli, so that's about all I can speak for. Nice deli workers and the selection of sandwiches and whatnot is awesome. They change things up enough that you can always get something new, if you'd like, and there are a few staple things so some consistency is possible, if you'd like. Prices really aren't THAT much worse than getting a sandwich elsewhere, and they're definitely tasty. Store is otherwise clean and bright, and all the things you'd expect in a Lunds. Wells Fargo ATM here, as well.

This is a prime example of the notion of it being better to have something than not have it. With the exception of "BOGO" (buy one, get one free) weeks, this store has pretty terrible prices. And the selection of goods isn't particularly good either, due to their emphasis on providing lunch food for the downtown business crowd. However, the quality of meat and produce is excellent, the employees are nice, and there's no other supermarket within a mile. So it serves a need, albeit not ideally.

Incredibly convenient plus free parking! For the size of the store it offers quite a few selections of everyday items and groceries, as well as produce, deli, meat/seafood, and bakery items. They also have a liquor store right next door making this location an easy one-stop-shop.

Great grocery store for quick trips in the downtown area. Excellent produce and selection, open 18 hours a day, Caribou Coffee inside, and self-checkout is very fast when picking up a few items. Lunds is on the expensive side so I don't recommend it for pantry items and stocking up.

Let's just start out with the fact that they are open from 6am-12am. Those are some of the best hours I have seen for a store downtown. Along with that, they have an excellent parking lot that has ample room and even charging stations for electric vehicles. I can't express how much I love their location and hours.

Great location. Has good parking which is key when being down town. The checkout lanes are a little strange and sometimes move fast or at a snails pace. The selection of food is good. Better than all other grocery chains except for maybe kowalskis. In comparison to other Lunds and byerlys the selection of food is some what limited which is why I gave it 3 stars. I still would shop here and recommend it out of convenience of the location

The meat market and fish market workers are all very helpful and excellent at making sure you get what you need. I bought salmon here and the man that sold me the fresh fish helped me figure out how to prepare it. Tasted great with his advice!

This kind of grocery store is hard to come by in downtown and this one does an excellent job (especially given the locale and possible clientele who migrate to this location) of creating a safe environment for everyone even at 12 am ( this stores closing time ) . Shout out to the worker who walked the blind customer through the construction area after 10 pm to the bus stop in the next block, that compassion meant a lot to her.

All of my experiences here have been good ones. It's conveniently located if you're a student at MCTC and want something other than the choices on campus. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it can be a bit pricey.

I love the salad bar and hot foods section and the fact that there's an area to sit and eat if needed. My only suggestion is that they need smaller carts. It's either a basket that you carry, or a big cart. Need the in between size like all the other Lunds.

Pretty good as far as Lund's go. Important to point out that there is parking which is always nice being in downtown. Certainly makes it easier to shop if you live/work in the area. Also a good spot for a DIY lunch during the week.

Great place for high quality produce and meat, they have full grocery as well as butcher and deli. There's a great salad bar that you can get an instant meal for lunch and dinner. Redbox and Wells Fargo ATM on-site.

Smaller store with more limited selection and yet, somehow, they always seem to have exactly everything I need. For a supremely convenient location with a small parking lot in a busy area of downtown, I have ALWAYS been able to park and get in and out in just a few minutes. So much more pleasant an experience the the giant 'shop-for-after-the-rapture' bunker stores with their XXXXL shelves, aisles and portions.

Moved to Seattle 20 years ago and was back visiting in Minneapolis staying at a hotel downtown. Came across Lund’s while I was on a walk, what a gem! Nice to see a city center grocer in Minneapolis with such a high quality variety. Great store! If you are new to the city or downtown for a visit, this store won’t disappoint!

Lunds and byerly's is great. They are just like a nicer Cub foods in my opinion though. They don't have a ton of organic options and carry all the same things as cub except their deli is much better and they have nice cheese selection. But this lunds downtown is very fair price in always has good deals going on.the best part about this lines that's open until midnight where as whole foods is only open until 10 p.m. so it's the only grocery store downtown that's open later so for that it gets four stars

Compared to almost any other grocery store I can go to, Lunds is expensive; you get a good quality for the price, and the selection is excellent (especially given the limited floor plan), but for most of my essentials I still use lower-cost grocery. However, Lunds makes up for the cost of its shelf goods with its excellent fresh food, in-store pressed juices, deli items, and pre-made items such as dinner rolls or even sushi. It's not the place to go if you need to make every penny go the furthest penny go as far as possible, but it's worth it if you want to feel like you're treating yourself every time you open the fridge.

The food in the buffet area is amazing!! It's a bit pricier than your average lunch but it's definitely worth the quality. Only issue is that if you stay for lunch and need to use the bathroom- you're out of luck.

Although some items are a bit pricey, this location of Lunds & Byerlys has a decent layout, selection of pre-cooked foods, and meat department. Also, less than a block away is a full liquor store branch of Lunds & Byerlys. So no matter what you need in terms of food or liquor, Lunds & Byerlys has a selection available for you.

By 6:30 pm the hot bar was out of vegies. I tried the pork with sauerkraut and found the pork hard and chewy. Everything was mislabeled. Friend had the take & bake pizza and said it was good. Friendly, attentive cashier at checkout. We also purchased aged ribeye steaks for our dinner the following evening and the flavor was out of this world. Absolutely the best tasting steak that I've eaten in sometime. The ageing really makes a difference in the flavor.

High quality foods are provided at reasonable price. I like the bakery and meat section. Sushi bar is another my favorite. LB brand milk tastes a lot better than othe expensive competitors. Fruits and vegitables are a bit costy but much freshier. Everyday after 8pm, bakery sales at 50 percent.

I never fail to have a good time shopping at downtown Lund’s and Byerly’s. Its efficient organization and wide variety of products offered make shopping here, compared to my experiences at other grocery stores, an enjoyable experience for me. This is not to mention that the quality of perishable goods like produce is much higher here than at other popular store names in the Twin Cities area. Visit Lund’s downtown if you seek a quick and easy shopping experience where you most certainly get what you pay for.

This store seemed well managed. Very clean store. All of the employees I had interacted with seemed well mannered and personable. If you need to use their restroom you will have to go to the back of the store, hop in the elevator, and take it to the 2nd level.

It is a smaller store in the Lunds & Byerly's local chain, but for Downtown Minneapolis, it's prices are competitive and reasonable give the fact we have only Lunds and Byerly's, a newly renovated Target that should have more variety in food options and be cheaper and Whole Foods.

Pricey, small store with limited selection of goods. Can't ever seem to find the coffee and tea flavors I'm looking for that is made by the same suppliers that are on the shelf. Im not talking exotic blends here either, just green tea and dark roast coffee. unfortunately, it's the only grocery store at the south end of downtown

It's a really small Lunds. Probably the smallest location they have, so don't expect them to have much in the way of produce or any kind of variety actually. Their convenience food and deli is kind of what they push, since it's on Hennepin and MCTC is close by. They DO have their own parking lot, though, which is great.

I like this Lunds - mainly because the layout is so easy. I can get in and out pretty quickly. I do with they offered store pick-up so I could place my larger orders in advance and just swing by but the closest Lunds & Byerlys to downtown that does that is in SLP.

At the risk of sounding Trump-like, I think all of the Lund and Byerly's downtown are sad. A little dingy, a little cold and not a lot of selection. For grocery shopping, I prefer Target downtown or Whole Foods. The saving grace is there is a Caribu inside most and this is no exception, a Caribu with friendly service. Five stars for that and because I want to support locally-owned businesses and no one has ever did anything to me, personally.
