Nice to shop and never that packed, actually it is nice to shop. always stocked shelf’s and friendly service cashiers make it easy to checkout and you can even cashier yourself out even faster for the people popping in for one or two items. I recommend to lock your doors of your car though and keep your wits about you but other than that price is right! Lol highly recommend this cub.

Living in Downtown St Paul I often find myself here shopping late at night. I was actually here just last night after midnight, it had been a very long day & I was shopping with a friend, when we got to the register to pay I realized I didn't have my wallet. Not a big deal for most people but for us it turned into quite the show after cash app transfers, phones in cars & anything else that would have upset any cashier & rightfully so. But lucky for us we had Kayla who saved the day! Not only was she patient & helpful, even cracked a few jokes herself & fell in love with the puppy... She was honest! We didn't even know we had dropped cash right there on the floor in all the chaos, but she did! She made sure to give it to us. In today's economy I think most people may have thought not to, I don't want to think that way but times are crazy right now. So I wanna give a huge shout out to Kayla & say thank you! You're a very friendly, positive & wonderful cashier! I will come to your lane every time girl. She deserves a raise $$

As I've described previously Cub Foods on University Avenue and Hamlin in St. Paul is my go to food store primarily because the light rail stops nearly in front of the place and for me it's a straight shot down 3rd Avenue in Minneapolis to the Gov't Plaza Station and just an 8 stop ride to the store and the same on my return. Plus it's open 24 hrs and since I do all my shopping after dark it's ideal for me. I rarely go elsewhere. As another plus the store is quite large and carries thousands and thousands of foodstuffs with a great many Asian and Latino foods and condiments, a full deli as well as baked goods. I really like this store!

I only go to this store in desperate need since it's 24 hours. The staff is always great, But the location is awful. The type of people it drags in makes me uncomfortable and feel unsafe as I have gotten harassed at this location before and while I was in my vehicle. The food is usually pretty good, But the prices are ridiculous, You pretty much need to have a disposable income to be able to afford anything at any cub. It's not just this location that I have bad vibes from, It's a lot of them within the twin cities. I can no longer afford cub and will be going to aldis or walmart from now on.

The curbside pick up process needs work…. Our order ended up being over an hour late. We try to be understanding since most places are understaffed these days. But then when we pulled in, the phone number to notify them you are there was replaced with paper that was peeling off/ unreadable. After calling the store, we waited a good 15-20 minutes for the order to be brought out. There were 6 other cars waiting and a lot of confusion about whose order was whose. Then, we get home to realize a good chunk of our order was missing. The receipt placed into our bag was not any of our items, so it was hard to know if we were charged for those items or not. The personal shopper did reach out about a few replacements, but none of those items. Reached out to customer service, hoping the refund will be quick since we just ended up going to a closer/ more costly grocery store for the missing items.

Very helpful & friendly staff. Well-stocked. Clean aisles. Good access to public transportation. If you ask where something is, they will escort you to the correct aisle. As a disabled senior, this is exceptional.

Good workers here. Store is always well stocked and neatly ordered, and I always think the workers are helpful and friendly especially with those self-checkout aisles. And they have more and more organic/free range meats and fair trade stuff every week and month it seems. And always good discounts on meats. Tbh I’m about to go now and I’m just wishing the best for all the workers there overnight and during this pandemic, working their butts off for me to have groceries. Good staff at this cub.

I shop here almost every week and never find myself to be disappointed. All the aisles are very clean, all food and miscellaneous items were neatly organize and the employees are very nice and friendly. Anytime I had difficulty finding a specific item, I ask any of them and they always assist with good positive attitude. The cashiers are friendly and I love how if I got an item on sale in their coupon book, they'll scan the coupon so to give me that deal thus saving me a few greens. I love shopping here and will continue to do so for many years to come.

I seen a few people say it's not open 24 hours. It actually is now.. now being: 4/14/21. I remember awhile back they closed for like an hour or two in the night but I know they are open all night now because I go there at all times throughout the night.. like every other night. Also someone asked of the lottery is open 24 hours the lottery is not open 24 hours but the lottery machines stay on all night but you can only buy scratch offs during non-active lottery hours. (The machine updates for like 10 or 20 minutes between 2 and 3 am) As for my review of this place, well, I suppose I must like it if I go every other night lol. I honestly can't say anything bad or anything super amazing besides the 24 hour store and lottery machines.. those are amazing but oh wait and there discount section is always pretty good but otherwise its just your regular cub! There are two ladies that work there in the middle of the night that are the "bomb diggity" for lack of better words and one guy who is very, let's say efficient in his work which if your in a hurry 😉 maybe stear clear of his lane but he's cool too just like insaid efficient!

now that I'm retired I like to shop at night usually around 11 to 12 oclock. no big crowds to contend with, shelves are well stocked, and plenty of parking spots. If you obtain one of their "rewards" cards it makes the checkout process very simple. One of the things I like the most is that if they are temporarily out of stock on a sale item they will try to let you substitute it with a similar product. Finally the store always appears very clean and well lit...

This Cub has always been a good store for me to go to. Craig and others there are very kind to me and I've never had a problem until last night. A staffer named Hannah who was very fidgety I noticed as soon as I approached her completely misunderstood my attempt to explain my experience with instacart such that hopefully she could learn from it and everybody would benefit. She immediately thought I was antagonizing her and called the police officer over who then started running a camera. The two essentially forced me out of the store and I couldn't believe it. Anyway suffice it to say that the rest of the staff at that store except for those two people have been kind to me and I like this store so I simply will avoid those two people altogether.

This cub foods store is the most convenient store for us, however, that's not the main reason it is also the store with frequent mostly (for more than 10 years now). Stock levels are always great, as well as prices and with very friendly and helpful staff you can't make a mistake going there. Nowadays they also have delivery service which can really make life easier. I can only recommend it wholeheartedly – sure you will be happy too. Thanks.

It is a okay place and it is easy to get to you can take a bus or ride the train or even take a cab only if you can afford it because things are now going so high to even get at the store and get around I will say that you use to be able to get more for your money at the store before everything changed and this silly but deadly virus started it is very sad that not a lot of other people take it serious and want to do all the right thingsnot

I have shopped at Midway Cub since it opened. I love it. I also use the pharmacy for prescriptions. All staff is always knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant. Just tried cheddar bacon burgers from the butcher counter—delicious!

A little grubby but not too bad. The handicap carts either are completely dead or dying by late morning. There arnt enough of them so I have to sit and wait for 30 minutes or more for one to free up. I shop twice a week so this is really an issue for me.

I have mixed feelings about this cub. If you go anytime after dark you can expect some interesting encounters. Usually just someone asking for money but I've also seen fights and people being arrested in the parking lot. That being said, the staff here is GREAT.. especially given the environment. Even the cops they keep on rotation there are just friendly, nice people.

I have shopped at the Midway Cub Foods since it first opened and it is the best grocery store in the area. Everyone has always been helpful, friendly and courteous. Since the new takeover, I've found their fully cooked chickens to be actually fully cooked-no blood or pink. Thats great. New store design is a nice setup. The website says their daily hours are 5a-1a no longer 24hrs.

A good store as far as selection is concerned. A good produce selection and nice deli area. The front end of the store is usually messy and they dont hire baggers so you have to bag your own stuff as the cashiers wont do it. The customer service I've experienced is below average to average at best. I shop here for convenience as it's the closest big store to my home.

Union employees, pretty good range of many choices. Could use some more protein substitute choices for vegetarians. Fruits and veggies aren't always as fresh as I would love, but a fine choice.

This Cub Foods store is fairly easy to get to by public transportation. Their nuts and seeds selection in the bulk section is pretty decent. They actually carry unsalted raw cashews...do you have any idea how hard that is to find at prices that don't require you to part with some of your appendages and eye-teeth?

This is my go-to grocery store when I am at home. Convenienctly located, plenty of parking, good selection. I have rarely found anything I needed to be out of stock. I especially love their international cheese selection. The inclusion of a TCF Bank branch is ver convenient. I wouldn't want to shop here late at night by myself (be in the parking lot) but during the day or with a friend I feel totally safe. Staff is generally friendly and helpful.

Ever since they remodeled, the produce gets moldy fast. Every time I buy their roma tomatoes, they get mold on them within two days. I bought a loaf of rye bread and it was moldy. I bought a bag of onion buns from the bakery area and when I cut them open there was mold in all of them. Their new popcorn area, the popcorn labeled "cheese" had jalopeno in it. I tried it three times, same thing. Customer service said they are not cleaning their machine after making jalopeno cheese popcorn so the regular is tasting that way. I'm wondering if they are purchasing differently to save money so as the consumer, we are getting food that will go back fast as it is older.

It's a large chain grocery store, you get what you expect I'm that regard. Nothing special, wide lanes and a lot of people. There is usually a long line at checkout regardless of time of day, which is a bit odd.

This is a good place but there is stupid people who worked there. I once tried to get a money gram from sn elderly woman shereplied whats a money gram. I told her what it is and said we dont sell that here and there is a sign that said money gram behind. I went to walmart and had no problems.
