Reviews of South Milwaukee Downtown Market
It's awesome!! The market has all kinds of different vegetables, homemade bread and pastries, lemonade ,dog treats, one person even has canvases for adults and children to paint a picture. The vendor supplies everything you need!!! paint, canvases and a container to put it in while it dries. The container is yours to keep to transport it home. Check out South Milwaukee Farmers Market . It's a fun place for the entire family. My husband Al and I brought our dog Emma. There were a bunch of families with their pets..
My favorite farmers market!! The best kettle corn ive ever had from anywhere!!!
South Milwaukee has added a bronze statue of "the wrestler that made Milwaukee famous " . The one and only Crusher. A midwest wrestler from the days of black and white TV. Known for carrying a quarter barrel of beer and drinking and running to train for big matches.
We love the South Milwaukee farmers market. Reason I give it four stars out of five is because it's a little smaller, and relies on portable toilets. But the organizers have made a great market given the limitations of the space. I cannot wait to see it as they space gets improved.
Great Farmers market on Thursday nights. It has vendors, food and live music every week. Come and shop, eat, listen to the music and be home in time to watch your programs
I haven't tried the homemade peach jam yet, but cook is very successful. Mong, Laos/American farmers from West Bend are nice, and I got a sunflowers bouquet. I will return to Farmer's Market, and meals are available also.
Love the fresh local produce. And the kettle corn smells great! Tastes good, too. I highly recommend the mixed berry lemonade
Fresh local food is always good! Real small set up. Pretty easy to spend less than 10 min. For a 5 star I would like to see more stands and some food maybe some music. But for a quick stop to get good priced local Fruits and vegetables it’s a sure bet.
This market is on Thursday night and I love that I can stop by on my way home from work. They have food vendors for supper and music on the stage. There is also 50 or more Crafters, farmers, and a variety of different things to buy. Kids can get there face painted and drink fresh lemonade.
Everything seems to be over priced for the product they sell, it will be awhile before I go back, sad
I love the fresh made kettle corn and lemonade. They have fresh smoked bones for my dog. I LOVE the natural, local made Nurish products for personal care. (Bug spray, deodorant, lip balm, yoga mat spray and more). Plus fresh produce, hot food, pastries and the list goes on.
Update: a lit of good venders have not returned to the market. Its definitely not as nice as it has been. Still fresh produce and live music.
Cute suburban market that sells homemade soaps, honey, local produce, and other items. They also have live music and food vendors on site.
A great place to be on a Thursday evening when the weather is good.
We go just about every Thursday. Love the China Chef and Serenity soaps along with all the vendors. They have really good performances and fun events for the community to enjoy.
We went a few weeks ago and it was probably too early for local produce. There are a wide variety of booths selling non-produce items including prepared food. Kettle corn was good!
Very nice atmosphere with live music. Bought some beautiful veggies. Had some of Dildots BBQ....5 Stars for them as well...jerk chicken was delish!!
Went to see Da Crusher which is perfectly displayed. Excellent picture opportunities
My 13 yr old son and I go every Thursday during the market season. We always get a homemade fresh lemonade from the Lemonade stand. Delicious!! Mango lemonade is fantastic too but not always available. ☹ Fresh Kettlecorn sold right next to the lemonade, a very nice family runs both. U have to see Dawn for the best body oils, essential oils bath bombs and laundry bombs. Pedro has the best steak tacos we have ever had. He makes them right in front of u w/the best Verdi sauce ever! We also support the Lions club and have a cheese burger or foot long brat. All hot and fresh!! During the apple season we love to buy the fresh picked apples daily from a local orchard, not sure of the name but it's a small stand w/ the most crisp Zestar and honeycrisp Owe ever tasted!! He also has yummy apple cider. The soap lady sells the best smelling liquid patchouli body soap. Sometimes w/luck I can get a bottle of liquid nag champa body soap or you can order it from her as well. Love the fresh veggies and melons from the local farms. We are luck to have such a great market right in South milw!! Check it out!! Much more handmade crafts too. I just mentioned my favorites!! 😉😁
Noah's tomatoes and sauces are amazing. Pretty much go to make purchases at his booth.
It's fun and has live music
I really like the idea of food trucks and a farmers market. Unfortunately it is very compact and gets very crowded. Parking is a nightmare and there is not enough seating when you do get food.
Enjoyed the concert and shopping.
It's got a statue of Da Crusher! What more could anybody possibly want?
Had close shave downtown, South Milwaukee. It was a hair raising experience! The Northwest corner of No. Chicago and Milw. Av. @ "The Barbershop"
This is one of my favorite summer markets. It's small, but the vendors are very high quality and the live musical performances are usually very good.
Good music and economic food
Fun to be home again. Delicious churros, beautiful bouquets. Cheers!
Enjoyed the cupcakes from manny mariner munchies. Nice to see the special ed kids having so much fun sellung their items.
Enjoy a lot during the season and there are always signs posted to remind you when it's open.
Love going here! Always great food, atmosphere, and music!
Nice little market, good variety of items!
Great place to have community 3vents but usually has nothing going on.
Need more vendors
Good fresh farm grown produce, what more do you want?
Great outdoor market.
Good shops and great in the summer. Always something going on.
Was there for dedication ceremony. Way crowded. They weren't prepared for such large crowd.
Always a wide variety of vendors and music.
Nice crowd and the food was good .
Not as many vendors as in the past. Health fair was disappointing due to weather
Great band 👍 this week Thursday 🙌 …
No thanks.
Clean. Needs more permanent attractions.
Lots fun and variety of food
Love to visit here every Thursday
For a small town it's great!
Had a blast.
Need many changes. Great concept
See my da krusher statue post. Oops.
Not as many vendors but always find something to buy
Work in progress.
Meat sticks and walking tacos!
Love the farmers market
