I've been coming here for years to buy niche items. For a local grocery store they're mostly overpriced so I don't buy my everyday items here. I'm a frequent shopper for meat and bakery items and there meat sales are really good. I wouldn't have had a negative thing to say (besides about them being overpriced ) but today their manager was super rude to me and he sees me spend money there several times a week. That was a huge surprise and I definitely feel some type of way.

Is there any way that I can buy just a quart of seasoning salt that is from the yellow bag? (I believe it's says "yellow") He is just so obsessed with and it would be a great Christmas gift for him!!! .

This grocery store is huge. Very clean & pleasant to shop. Worker's are very nice & helpful. And they have a restaurant inside also to eat while shopping. Excellent Mexican food very big plate of food. As you can see in my photos very huge selection of fruits and vegetables & endless cakes, pies dounuts, cookies everything you can dream for that will make you FAT for sure. Lol. Excellent Mexican grocery & restaurant store. This is in Milwaukee on 16 Th. Steet. Mexican section of town. I feel very safe in this part of Milwaukee. Very nice & friendly people.

Tremendously well stocked store carrying all Hispanic foods imaginable. Whatever you want you'll find it here. Decent deli too. Store a bit overpriced and could be cleaner. But overall very good grocery store.

A very good place for people on a budget, the store almost literally has everything you might need outside of electronics, but even still this one has a bank and a Boost mobile. Highly recommend shopping here

The supermarket still cleaning to do, specially in the restrooms... The new addition of"Puerto Rican" food vendor is a misinterpretation of Puerto Rico's cuisine,. Over cooked and overpriced. Wasn't even inspired to taste.

When I’m reminded that I live in a neighborhood that’s considered a good desert in milwaukee I go to El Reys Food Mart. They have an amazing selection of diverse food options that span across many different options! I shop here often because of the low prices and quick grabs. A small, but very much local grocery store, and has just about anything food wise. An extensive bakery, deli, hot foods, meats, produce, and dairy, to make the full purchase easy in one path. A little full during the pandemic, but otherwise would be a good idea to stop by.

Customer service great with decent waiting in lines. Sometimes may have language barrier for workers stocking trying to locate items. I find prices in general foods pricey but I suppose its the convenience for local neighborhood grocery store. Bakery has great cakes. Watch produce items though, tends to go bad quickly but offers variety of authentic hispanic vegetables, fruits, roots & herbs.

Literally my favorite el rey to go to. There fresh French bread made everyday,pan de agua and fruit bowls are the best. The feel of the store is great always clean. There selections are also great and prices are also not bad.

Best 3 leches cake I've had in Milwaukee so far. I've never waited in line more then 2 minutes at check out which, makes life a little easier when you're already behind schedule. The employees are nice but they don't all speak English. This location does have hot food but no sitting area like the other locations.

Exceptional bakery, deli, (try the Chicken Salad) A large hot food selection. The produce selection is good. (Green Banana is a great substitute for potatoes. Not to be confused with regular bananas that are not ripe. The meat department covers a wide variety of needs. The seafood selection is large and good quality. The employees are helpful. This is a locally owned establishment.

Very good place to go grocery shopping. There are a variety of things from fruits and vegetables to pot and pans and toiletries. You can find almost anything and almost all Mexican products.

Prices are reasonable. The staff is always pleasent. Even one of the manager's, Chad, is bilingual which is a plus for alot of people. You can always find what you are looking for from popular name brands to the very unusual. They have a public restroom as well.

Neighborhood store with a nice exterior but when you walk through the doors it's like walking into the 70's. The store inside needs to be updated bad. Also if you don't speak Spanish you might not be able to communicate with anyone who works there. They have a nice selection of Mexican groceries. Also I would avoid the meat it looks like the cleanliness of the cutting area might make you sick along with the age of the meat. Other than that if you want some Mexican food for decent prices try it out.

Contains an incredible selection of ethnic Latino foods and produce at this supermarket. The bakery and take out prepared food options are many. The area appears slightly sketchy but I've never had a bad experience here and have always felt relatively safe. Parking is a little stuffy as there are a lot of come and go customers.

I shop here almost every day. I have also worked 4 years at a grocery store. This is a well run store. But I do have a few complaints. The parking lot set up sucks because of the angled parking. Not enough cart corrals. The entrance to the parking lot on 13th street is too narrow. The front store entrance is also too narrow. Every time I go, I cannot walk straight in. I usually have to wait for some one coming out. This might even be a safety concern. The hot food deli items are not the best. At times it seems the food is reheated from previous days. The store desperatly needs a revamp. Specially in the dairy dept. The coolers and bunkers are old. Besides those concerns I will still shop here because its convinient location as i have for 30yrs+

This fine establishment never seizes to amaze me from all walks of life walking in there enjoying the cultural music and foods (Samples) to the hospitality of the all worker's. I mean for heaven sakes the minute you walk outside with your cart of groceries someone is out there following you so after you unload they take the cart from you great service huh. The cashier had some handheld "fruit pies" at the checkout which she offered each customer for free. The security guard exchanged smiles and pleasantries with me on my way in and out. The bank employees know my mom. I got a dozen mini lemon poppyseed muffins for like $1.25 from the discount cart. El Rey rocks! My only complaint is that a lot of things don't have a price. Candy at the register and Faygo 2 liters, for example.

Its so convenient. El Rey FoodMart cash work checks in a snap. If your a first timer you will have to get verified by the manager and get put in their system. Takes like 3 mins. No biggy. Plus they are waaaaay cheaper than most check cashing places in Milwaukee. Oh and their food is delish! They have hot and ready foods, desserts, and a deli. Great for birthday shopping also.
