One of the best in the city. More than just meat and veggies, they have soaps, CBD products, beer, plants and food vendors. Sometimes in the summer there is someone playing guitar, this past election cycle Mr. Morgan McGarvey, our newest house representative for the Louisville district, played some acoustic with a friend. Some weeks during the summer there will be a knife sharpener, who also takes online orders.

It is the original. They are open year round. Fruit, veggies, meat, bread, baked goods, honey, breakfast cooked right there in front of you, music to entertain, and great people selling and shopping.
It's right across from the fire station (kids love fire trucks), in the church parking lot. Dogs aren't allowed so bring a friend to hold her while you shop. You can eat your breakfast together at one of the tables right there at the church outside of the Farmers Market.
Parking is available on the street or across the street at another church.
It's a great place to hangout for a bit, let the kids explore, eats farm fresh, literally, breakfast, get some great goodies for the week, and RELAX (it's the weekend).
This Farmers Market is large enough to give you everything you need or want, and small enough to walk around and still keep an eye on your kids or quickly find a friend to compare your treasures.
I love the breakfast omelet, the music is always good and sometimes really, really good. And the people are always friendly and fun. I walk there, but it is worth the drive, and then you can walk around a bit!

Picked up a string of pearls succulent, that I am in love with. As well as some fresh eggs and tomatoes.
Always great vendors with a lot of variety.

Very nice, lots of variety. Cantaloupes the size of basketballs. One hot food vendor and they had a line 20 people long. Had it been shorter we would have tried it.

Best farmers market in the city and open year around. Period.
**UPDATE**
The market is on one side of the street now.

Looks small but there are so many lovely vendors. The produce is amazing. Such a great variety. I got this pretzel croissant and it was the best pretzel I have ever had. It was the best croissant I've ever had! Every person was kind and helpful

I do not normally post reviews, but I felt it was important to voice an opinion here: I have visited the market several times, finding the produce generally to be of excellent quality at acceptable prices. "Poor Quality", however, is how I have to rate the meat and eggs I purchased. I bought meat from two different vendors. Both had large thermos boxes with frozen meat. I understand the necessity of freezing farm-fresh meat. Neither producer had a website or any further information as to who they were or anything detailing the production. Pulled from a large blue thermos box, the chicken legs with thighs I bought from the one were tough and tasted old and that at a price far exceeding supermarket prices. The other vendor provided me with a pork shoulder roast -one of my personal favorite cuts- from one of his orange thermos boxes. At home, having thawed it and removed the very large bone and the excess fat and waste, I was left with meat which, when cooked shrank to 1/2 its size! The meat was extremely tough and had a dubious, musty taste. I was appalled at the result and that, all in all, at an exorbitant price. The eggs - a dozen "large, brown eggs" - came from a woman who explained that she held 1500 chickens. The dozen was only a little more expensive than the supermarket product, but I found the "farmers market" product not to taste as good even as the industrial version. In contrast, the eggs that I buy from a man around the corner who keeps a couple dozen chickens are simply to die for. In my opinion, that is how "farmers market" eggs should taste. In summary, I will never again buy any meat from this market. Finally, yesterday, I bought a nice bibb salad for $3.50 from a vendor. I paid with exact change and said thank you. The young man took the money and counted it into his till. Again, I said thank you, but did not receive an answer. The other person behind the counter never looked over from the conversation he was having on his cell phone. I left in silence. Next week, I will try out the Douglas Loop Market for the first time.

Love the Bardstown Road Farmers Market! It is open year round which lets me support local growers and producers 12 months of the year. Even in the coldest days of the year there is always something to choose from. Spring, summer, and fall bring a bounty of fresh, vibrant, healthy produce. Also, there are many different meats to choose from. This market carefully selects vendors who are growing the food themselves and not buying from large auctions. Everything is high quality and delicious! In addition to produce and meat, there are also eggs, cheese, soaps, honey, baked goods, preserved foods, and more! Love, love, love this market!

It's a nice little Farmers Market put on by the local church. Lots of in-season fruits and vegetables. A few food vendors. Several craft vendors. More like what I envisioned a farmers market to be. Sign says no dogs allowed which is unusual for me, I'm used to farmers markets in Illinois where dogs are welcome. Big upside is that I found one vendor selling pawpaw, which I haven't found elsewhere.

Nice farmers with home grown, reasonably priced produce. Much better quality and better prices than grocery store fruits and vegetables! Three green peppers for a dollar from the farmer that grew it is better than one at the grocery for 99 cents from an unknown.

Get your grocery shopping done for the week. Pick up some flowers on the way out. The food is local and fresh, and the market isn't full of craft vendors. Parking is easy. Support your local farmer!

THE place to go on a Saturday morning in Louisville. Many different local vendors provide a plethora of produce options, grass-fed meats, lots of jams, jellies, baked goods, and a friendly atmosphere! There are also hot breakfast options and live music, year-round!
Rita Smith
The produce is always fresh. There is someone selling breakfast, someone selling meat, another selling fresh flowers, fresh breads. The cantaloupe is so much sweeter than the grocery.
Jaret Hill
An excellent little farmers market with local farm fresh produce, flowers and meats. There are also several food vendors and coffee vendors. This isnt a huge farmer's market. I'd say its JUST THE RIGHT SIZE.

We went late in the season which may explain the few vendors. We had hoped for a few more prepared items since we were visiting and had nowhere to cook anything.

One of the oldest Farmers' markets in LOU & still going strong after all these years.

I only get to this market a few times a year, but always find a few items of interest. Go early just after 9 AM on Saturday for the widest selection.
