This is long but worth the read I promise Sam is One of the greatest souls iv had the honor to meet and get to know on a very frequent basis as I was growing up in Portland the west end and like many I didn't have much growing up that's including food I was forced to drop out of school early at the age of 16 to work to provide for me and my disabled father there was weeks I had nothing to eat and got paid bi weekly he figured out the hard times I was going through but multiple conversations and watching what I'd come to buy almost every day hot dogs bread and bologna he stopped me one day had a tear in his eye hugged me and thought me what a bill tab was and let me get as much of whatever I needed for weeks on end and I payed and was able to eat the next two weeks for almost a year till I was able to get on my feet and he has one of the most pleasant stores in the west end and he truly helps the neighborhood

Awesome store, convenient location, and Sam (owner) is a really good guy. He is always nice to his customers, and he will sometimes even take suggestions on acquiring inventory if it's reasonable. There are several small shops and bodegas in this area, but I always try to come here because I want to support this place with my patronage. It has convenient hours of operation, but it's not open 24 hours (which is understandable). This location just opened recently, so it's not as stocked as it will be in the near future, but you can definitely find cigarettes, drinks, candy, ice cream, and snacks here.
