Patel Brothers is a convenient place to purchase fresh food and spices. Great deals and fair prices. Huge selection of spices, legumes, and flours. The establishment is a bit smaller but they have refrigerated and frozen food sections and their grocery isles are packed with items!

Seems like people buy more fresh vegetables from here then anything else but they got good stock of Indo Pak products. Good thing is they don't keep expired or near to expire products. Covid Social distancing is missing though..

This a great little place to find just about an ingredient you may need for authentic Asian meals. I like that they have a large spice collection in thin plastic bags so you don't have to buy plastic containers every time you purchase. I can't wait to explore all of the other items that they have in this store.

Easy to find all of your needs. Shop is well lit and well labeled so finding what you want it incredibly easy. The specials are posted through the store and at the counter so you can easily buy what’s on sale. Good produce selection, seems very fresh.

Largest selection of Indian grocery products I've ever seen. Their frozen foods section is large and I can't wait to try half of the stuff there. I wish they had a more concentrated spice area with better explanations of what the spices are. For a non Indian like myself this would be useful. I can't help feeling like this is an opportunity to share more information (and grow their customer base) about the beautiful and complex elements of the extraordinary cuisine(s) of the Indian world.

Great selection and very easy to get to. Everybody is so friendly and very helpful. On my last visit I was needing some cardboard boxes because I wanted to put my bags of groceries in the boxes in the back of my buddies pick-up. They gave me a couple boxes and it worked perfectly!!

I love Indian food! This store also happens to be a Vegans dream. I love a good tofu (egg) scramble and in order for it to taste like eggs I need black salt & the only place I've been able to find it is here. I also can only find mango chutney and fenugreek for my chickpea curry here. They are very clean. Due to Covid of course you must wear a mask to enter. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I really like this store.

Don't let the modest storefront fool you. This is a good-sized grocery store specializing in Indian food. Fresh veggies, a great frozen section, and virtually anything else you could want. Considering almost everything is imported, I consider the prices quite reasonable. Great tea, basmati rice, and even ready-to-eat selections if you are a fan of the food but sub-par in the kitchen.

This is an AWESOME international store! My husband and I visited the Indian restaurant next door , Shalimar, and then visited this store to see what they had. We love to go out to eat and then go home and recreate things we have tried . Well, this little store is a hidden gem! They have tons of spices (in bulk and better priced than the regular grocery stores), so many different types of rice, sauces, produce, frozen foods (like samosas... YUM!) etc. We will be shopping here often!

Patel brothers is very nice. It is a bit crowded and that is not good during this pandemic time. But if you need Indian food. This is the best place to go. It is in Louisville. Not a very long drive. You can get Indian veggies (You will not find in a Walmart) , Indian snacks , Indian drinks , Indian food. , Indian cooking essentials. And many more. I rely on Patel Brothers and the experience is amazing. They have not let me down.

Good grocery store where can get most of the ingredients needed for Indian or Asian style cooking.. Vegetables are usually fresh on Thursday when they get new stock from their warehouse. Few products like flour are directly imported from India and does not have an International sale packaging, due to which the best by dates have a stick on date on top of the original one, beware of the actual expiration date of the product.

I like going here for their fresh grocery but customer service for this cashier lady can be better. No hi or thank you. She also looked very annoyed. Next time, I will take my money somewhere else.

Overall it's a pretty good place to shop for Indian products but just watch out for two things: Expired goods and your receipt. Sometimes there are no price labels on the product itself so therefore you have to memorize the price so they don't overcharge you. Also it can get really difficult or uncomfortable for when there are many shoppers because it is tight on space.

Biggest grocery chain in greater Louisville area for Indian and south east Asian food. You can get fresh vegetables with lots of variety, frozen fish, Indian spice and variety of frozen snacks and sweets. Good place to buy basmati rice and bulk flower for tortilla. Stuffs are very fast. If you want to avoid the line try to go during weekdays.

Patel has always had whatever special ingredient I've needed for my attempts at Indian cooking. It has an extensive stock of all things for Indian cooking. At least it seems so to my Western eyes. It's fruit and vegetables also lean towards those used in this cuisine. It's always been clean and well-kept.

It’s nice to have options. Mostly Indian stuff not middle eastern which is their purpose. I didn’t like that their aisles were so narrow, I went on a busy day and 2 people could not fit well through with carts. Checkout staff just wanted to ring you and get out.

Mostly I try to avoid buying okra, beans and its varieties over here because people when buying them they just take individual pieces in there hands like one by one and break the edges put them back in the pile checking each piece of okra or beans and keep on using there hands too much squishing the vegetables it's too gross/ unhygienic, it would have been better if the store packed them individually like quantities in a ziplocs or boxes something like that were Walmart and other stores do

"The place" for Indian grocery store. This place is packed and has fresh vegetables and fruits. Almost everything you need to make Indian food. Spice mix to raw spices, Masala packets to pre-packed food, Indian desserts, utensils, materials required for religious rituals and sweet dishes. Almost Everything from Atta to Tata (Salt/ oil) that is needed for Indian cooking. The owner is also a very good honest guy.

Love this place you can find so many Indian food ingredients and international foods too, there is a little food cart at the front entrance that sells drinks that are made from freshly squeeze ginger and sugar cane the nice thing is that the squeeze it in front of you so you know it's fresh but you have to ask the guy at the front desk to make one for you.
