If you're a foodie, that loves Italian, this place will be your mecca for sure. There is a huge assortment of pastas, sauces, meats, and cheeses. They also have a great selection of spices and many, many other things. It's definitely worth a stop in. We ended up picking up two ravioli dishes, one lasangna, one chicken, a side of pasta salad, and a salami. Can't wait to try them all. Update: After trying all the pastas and dishes, we found thier ravioli to be quite yummy. The lasangna was good as well, very unique flavor. The pasta salad by far was the best of the selections. The chicken dish however, was sadly very bland and wouldn't recommend. So I think thier pasta salads and deli sides, along with stuffed frozen pastas may be the go-to for this stop.

This place is amazing! It's an International grocery store/deli. They offer a large assortment of daily baked breads, fresh made pastas, olive bar, extensive deli and fresh made sandwiches are also available. If you haven't been, you should do yourself a favor and check this gem out. You'll be happy, you did!

Excellent food and excellent service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Careful, though, it's the type of store where you'll buy more than you were planning (because it all looks good). It can also be a little rough on your budget because the prices match the quality.

The food is amazing at Lotsa Pasta, but I"m really writing this review to rave about how impressed I am with the customer service at Lotsa Pasta! Even during the busy holiday season, they went out of their way to help me when I needed to change my order on the same day of pickup. They were so kind and generous when I know they had a long line and store full of people. Thank you for the wonderful customer service and great food Lotsa Pasta!

Excellent selection of Italian imports, deli counter making delicious hot and cold sandwiches, house made pastas, lots of great items to put together a charcuterie board, antipasto, tapas, and other European-inspired deliciousness. Prices on par with other independent gourmet food shops. Don’t skip a visit to Lotsa Pasta! 👍🏻

I mostly go here for bread and cheese. The service and food are always excellent. Lotsa pasta has been a Louisville staple for decades. When I don't want to make bread, they are my go to source. Far better than any deli or chain for fresh bread, cheese and pasta and they carry specialty quality imported and local products and have a cafe as well. I recommend the black bean and focaccia panini.

From imported cheeses and meats, homemade pre-frozen meals, pizza dough, etc. Lotsa Pasta is the gateway to Italy. Offering the best selection of incredible foods and ingredients you think of when imagining an Italian market place. Options include pasta, sauces, breads, oils, olives, etc. Truly one the best local Italian markets to visit in Louisville.

One of my favorite places to go in Saint Matthews is Lotsa Pasta. They have so many amazing options that you can’t find elsewhere. Their spice collection is very robust, and I found spices from different parts of the world for a very reasonable price. I particularly love their cheese collection. They’ve got amazing options that are so tasty and well priced. They’ve got pasta and pasta sauce which is some of the best that I’ve seen. Many of their brands are gourmet and available there. For fresh items that were house made they have homemade pasta’s, entrées, calzones that you can purchase and prepare at home. Oh, and the dips. Delish in their own right. Their breads are incredible. Everything is very reasonably priced. You can even go in and just get yourself a sandwich if you’re hungry. A trip to Lotsa pasta does not disappoint.

Great deli food. Unfortunately, they did not anti pasto our annual New Years favorite treat. Too bad the shortage of staff is making it difficult for them to able to maintain stock. It is not their fault, just the times that we live. The food has always been fantastic we would highly recommend Losta Pasto.

When I came to Kentucky from NYC, I was worried that, as an Italian cook, I would have trouble finding my favorite ingredients - guanciale for carbonara, prosciutto from Parma, house made whole milk ricotta, high quality olives and olive oil, and of course cheese. I LOVE this place. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the selection of hard to find ingredients is excellent, and I really can't say enough about the quality. Lotsa Pasta, specifically, is one of the reasons Kentucky was on my list of cities to consider when leaving NYC. I'm so glad they exist. If you are into Italian cooking, or looking for a fun gift for someone who is, this is the place. I highly recommend the pecorino with saffron and peppercorn for carbonara, too (along with parmigiano and egg yolks I mean). Ugh and don't get me started on their cheese case.... Just excellent. And they serve sandwiches, too! They also have housemade pasta dough, pizza dough, Italian ice, everything you need for dinner if cooking from scratch isn't your thing. I really can't recommend this place highly enough.

Ordered two antipasto trays for a social gathering last weekend and they were both wonderful. The trays were ready at the agreed pickup time and the salami was so good it must have been flown in from Italy! You can't go wrong with Lotsa Pasta.

To say Lotsa Pasta is the BEST is an understatement. Not only are the store’s products and menu items fabulous, but customer service is beyond excellent. I ordered a gift card online on 12/20 as a Christmas gift and requested it be mailed to me, fully expecting it would never reach me before Christmas. Well, guess what? I received it on 12/23, in a hand-addressed gold envelope that included a card with my personal message to the recipient — also hand-written, neatly and perfectly. I couldn’t have been happier with the overly-prompt, personalized, classy service Lotsa Pasta delivered!

Great as usual. Their breads are great, the muffaletta is authentic to New Orleans but the price on the cheese dips are ridiculous. We always grab a Asiago almond spread but no more $7.99 is over the top for 8oz .

Very unique grocery and deli. As the name says many pasta and sauce options. Their Marina sauce remind of my grandma. Can't believe it's in a can rather than fresh!! Great selection of cheese. Just wish they were closer to where I live but worth the 30 minute drive

Very good but very expensive. The cannolis and baked ravioli are excellent. Place is a bit cramped, so be prepared to bump elbows with strangers. Also, I highly recommend you do not park in the spaces facing shelbyville/Frankfort as it is a death trap trying to leave.

I have fallen in love with this place. If you are from another country and miss a certain treat, they may have it or be able to get it for you. But I go here for all of their house made items, their pastas, breads, sauces, pizzas, everything are THE best. They were also able to get me a deli meat that has not been sold in stores for many years. I hope one day you guys might be able to make pastitsio and moussaka (😁😄😁😄), but even still, I will continue coming every two weeks to stock up on lasagna, manicotti and ravioli 😋 but it's not just pasta, they have all kinds of different things! Pizza, calzones, tomales, spanikopita, tons of different meats and cheeses, and that's just what I can remember off the top of my head! If you haven't tried them yet, do it now! They also have a stand at the Norton Commons farmers market on Sundays!

The food is SO good. Just had their baked ziti for the first time. Best I have ever had. In fact baked ziti is not the dish I thought it was. I just never had Lotsa Pasta’s version of it. Baked ziti is not the bland and boring pasta that I thought it was at all! And we already knew their lasagna is great, AND their basil pesto, their fresh berrry ices, their calzones, the house made pasta noodles.

Great grocery store for many international treats and breads. It’s a staple of mine to call in an antipasto tray before I have a party or shower at my house. Everyone can taste the difference in the quality meats and cheeses. It’s also a great place to grab fresh dips, a loaf of bread, and some homemade pasta. Simple & delicious. Also has a small cafe to grab a cup of coffee.

Was able to find a cheese my wife wanted, after going to 5 other places that didn't have it, decided to call and take a chance that they would and sure enough they did. When I arrived asked them at the deli counter, the lady behind the counter was like oh yeah we have, but kept in cooler on other side of store, told me to follow her and she took me right to it. I love this place. They have so many nice specialty products and they make their own dips, pastas, and tons of other great prepared foods. My all time favorite is the turkey goat cheese panini but honestly you can’t go wrong. Amazing bread as well. Also love the chicken salad. Really everything they make is delicious.

I absolutely love this store. It can be a bit pricey for some gourmet/homemade things, but it's very reasonable for stuff like fresh pasta and good quality sauces. Also love their fresh bread! But you need to get there quite early or they will be cleared out. If your interested in high quality ingredients and don't mind paying a bit extra I definitely recommend!

Only go here if you want a great selection of quality products. The muffaletta sandwich is perfect and massive. The balls of pizza dough alone are enough to keep me coming back here forever and always. It's a simple dough and does great on the grill.

I ordered 2 containers of the mushroom salt online. The order shipped very fast. They only had 1 available and hand wrote a very polite note apologizing and stating they had refunded my credit card for the other one which I greatly appreciated. My only regret is not visiting this place sooner! Curried chicken salad? Greek pasta salad? Tortellini salad? All with fruit or vegetables and flavor enhancing sauces? Heck yes, I have loved everything I've tried. The paninis are amazing, and their fresh rye bread is the best I've ever had. Lotsa Pasta is a Louisville treasure. They make great sandwiches and soups! They have many options for meals prepared to finish at home for a delicious meal. You need to make at least one meal a week from Lotsa Pasta homemade entrees! It’s so hard to decide what are the best. To push some of the homemade entrees over the top, I hit the convention on the last ten minutes of cooking uncovered and then let the dish rest 5 to 10 minute out of the oven. Hit the top with a fresh herb and amazing! So far my favorites in order are Bake Ziti, Chicken Tetrazzini, and Meat & Cheese Lasagna! I’m going to try them all!

What great pasta and such a fun place to shop! I love their walnut gorgonzola ravioli, but each pasta I have tried has been scrumptious. The sauces are also yummy. If you are coming to Louisville from out of town, bring a large cooler, stock up, and stop by Homemade Pie and Ice Cream nearby. Buy yourself a slice or three of their chocolate pecan pie to eat there AND take home. Been doing it for years.

They have a wide selection of gourmet cheeses, cold cuts & olives, as well as food items ranging from deli carry-outs to homemade soups, dips, salsa, pizza and pasta. Nice go to place for some of the hard to find deli meats. Prices are similar to other gourmet stores. I was elated to find the types of Chorizo Ive been looking for and canned escargo, which I havent found in KY. Their olive choices were reasonably priced and what a great selection. Coming from NYC, I still have yet to find a decent bakery for good bread. Their breads had a nice hard crust and was so far the best Ive had here. I didnt like the fact that the two lovely young girls behind the register where the bread was, were eating and touching their faces and hair. They did reassure me that they do not touch the food and did use a plastic bag to grab the bread. My chief complaint was the horrible, over priced six inch Italian sub I ordered. It was more of a "wish sandwhich". I wish they put some meat in it. The selection of meats and cheese were fresh and wonderful, unlike the tomatoes. Cut so thin they were spoiled. It was a very very thin sub, mostly bread and certainly not worth the $7.50 by any means. Overall, I do recommend you stop by and check them out. They do have lotsa pastas.

They have the most awsome selection of pastas, and....everything else looked yummilicious. First time visit, from outside looks small...go in the door and it opens up into the most marvelous selections everywhere, fresh daily made bread up front, huge freezers in back, and tons of items in between. Go ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE TIME TO BROWSE. It is a local favorite, but everyone is courteous and friendly.

I love this place for their pasta, selection of cheeses, dips and deli. I would agree with some that it is a bit overpriced in some areas, but if it means this place is staying around and providing the same fresh quality, then so be it. I love stopping in there for their soup/salad/sandwich lunch combo. Only $7 to pick two, which is cheaper than Panera and unparalleled in quality and ingredients. Their goat cheese ravioli and black bean cheddar dip are to die for. Don't miss out on this place because of the price. It's worth it as a treat, and cheaper than going out.

Lotsa pasta has fresh ingredients and flavors to make your own favorites but if you're hungry now, their paninis are the best! Their house-made Bombay dip is one of my favorite sweet and savory snacks you have to try. Daily made bread, fresh mozzarella, and ready made pizza dough are also available. Stop by and explore. You'll be glad you did.

The grocery side is awesome. The cafe side is small and the service wasn't great. There was no greeting and I felt like I was bothering the girl working in the cafe side. I didn't realize that you order in the deli and the girl acted like I was an idiot. The deli was fast and Friendly...but again once I ate in the cafe...the girl just wasn't super accommodating. I recommend taking your food to go.

Really nice little market! They've got all kinds of little niche products you could never find at places like Kroger, but they also have some bigger name brand stuff too if you're looking for that. And their prices are comparable to bigger chain stores, I'll definitely be back.

Lots of great food items to make dinner a breeze. Great for the working Mom. Love their Mexican Lasagna and and chicken tetrazini. They have the best mealballs and a great pasta selection. Their cheese spreads are probably the best in town. A bit on the pricier side but well worth it.

Based on the aromas I was hoping to get a serving of lasagna. The only hot food avilble was panini styler sandwiches. My Cuban sandwich was made fresh and delivered warm. The potato salad and sandwich were fine. I thought both were over priced. The sandwich was $7.50 with no side. I also tried a pint of Talenti Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip gelato which was very good and comparatively priced to similar ice cream. I probably would not eat lunch here again although many people were there just ahead of the lunch rush at 1130. I would like to try some of their premade family-sized lasagna dinners in the future. They also have specialty sauces and other items in the grocery store section. This is a surprisingly large place with lots of food items to explore. I did not have extra time to look, leaving as soon as my sandwich was made.

Its rare when you find and unexpected, multi faceted treat. Lotsa Pasta is one. From the house made sauce to the excellent deli sandwhiches to the excellent coffee and cannoli. Service, products and food were amazing. I would recommend it to anyone.

Really cool local place to stop in for lunch or your cooking needs. They have a nice area to order sandwiches, paninis (my favorite is the Chicken Prosciutto), pasta salads, potato salads, etc. They also have great homemade dips and spreads. We always buy the jalapeño spread. We use it as a dip for tortilla chips.
