Great place to get a fresh Christmas tree at a fair price. An area institution that has garden and pond supplies in season as well as selling meats, fruits, vegetables, baked goods and gifts. Not a fancy chain store but one that knows its customers and provides great customer service. Be sure to check it out!

Everybody was very nice, friendly and patient. Today, as I went in, I could even apply that to their customers. We got some of their deli specials and ate in the middle of our shopping trip. I love the fact they try to locally source their foods and plants, supporting other local businesses, even down to doggie treats and candles. The food was great, the produce looks good and it is a comfortable enviroment. Totally going to go again.

One of Louisville's best places for fresh and gorgeous fruit and vegetables. They always have terrific produce, much of it locally-grown and all of it light years ahead of the sad, pale things you'll find at the supermarket. Peach season is a special highlight, and I sn't imagine making pie or cobbler without a trip here. In addition to produce, they also have an extensive deli with a fine menu of delicious sandwiches and sides. Afterwards you can finish your meal with delicious Amish homemade baked goods. None of this even mentions the selection of sauces, preserves, salsas and more. Again, most are local products and the quality of all I have tried have been excellent. If you're serious about food, you owe it to yourself to stop by and take a look at all these folks have to offer. I guarantee you will leave with a bag full of goodness!

Their vegetables and fruits are very fresh and they also have freshly baked items I visited this place for the first time recently and I was in awe of what all they had in there I do plan on going back the items were not for myself it was a gift for a dear friend that is diabetic so I thought I would go in and see what they have to offer and I walked out with a few sweets for myself which was very delicious and they also have a deli at this location and they were in the midst of making a sandwich for someone and it looked delish great job guys

I come from Floyd’s Knob’s Indiana to get all of my produce, fruit and flowers from here. I love the quality of their deli meats and cheeses. I have even had lunch from their deli as well. They have large, generous portions of meat and cheeses on their sandwiches. They also I have many homemade soups on the menu. The staff want to make sure you are happy with your inch and are always willing to special make your order. The employees are always polite and professional. They never fail to engage me in conversation and help. All of this makes me gladly drive to shop here. It is family owned and operated as well. My money in staying in my community and providing jobs locally❤️

The Man With No Name (The Good)

Delivery of Amish grown and provided vegetables. Fresh picked from Henry and Carroll Counties in KY. I know they are Amish grown and harvested, I know the Amish who do this, and also provide my delivery service to take the Amish and their goods to this market. It is s well run establishment, always full of customers and overseeing the operations is the owner himself. With that said, it is a fine example of the way a business should be, efficient and orderly with a touch of personality. The humor, "fuggedaboutit"... 🤣 5 stars and high five to you Dale. Well done, very well done.

This place is definitely a hidden treasure right off the corner of Bardstown Road and Breckenridge Lane. They have the best sandwiches and food inside. Plus outside they have all the most awesome and amazing plants and flowers you can possibly think of at awesome prices and their plants and everything is huge no other flowers. Definitely my favorite place to go to in the spring and summer. You should definitely try it out.

Love this place! My granddaughters and I go there every Tuesday after school (we will be going some this summer as well) and I get a few veggies and we have something from the deli. Sometimes we sit in the back of my SUV with the hatch up and have a "picnic." One of the staff saw us and invited us to use their picnic tables on the side of the store. We did the next time and it was nice sitting by the koi pond. The store is clean. The restroom is clean. The deli items are fresh and delicious. We love it there.

I absolutely love this Market. You have to see it to believe it. It takes you back in time a when we all went to the Mom and Pop Grocery Store. They have some of the best soups. You can get any kind of sandwich you want and the all are magnificent. All the food wonderful. They have beautiful vegetables and all sorts of stuff. I ordered a Fruit Basket from there to send to a sick friend a couple of years ago and she still talk about it to this day. It was loaded with a sorts of Yummy surprises. I could go on and on but I don't want to ruin it for you. You just have to go see for yourself.

A great place to get farm fresh fruits and vegetables, boars head meats and cheeses, jams, jellies, uncommon brands of sauces and seasonings, as well as seasonal items like pumpkins and Christmas trees. Its always been a warm and inviting place and a breath of fresh air vs. standard grocery stores. Staff has always been very nice and prices are reasonable vs. other farm markets I've been to. Very highly recommended.

The prices are a tad high but the products are well worth it. Fresh fruit and veggies and even the sweets are fresh! The employees are nice and sweet and are as helpful as can be. The plants are well taken care of and the food at the Boars Head is to die for! I recommend the Oreo Fluff and the Orange Delight.

I just wanted to write to let you all know how happy we are with our Christmas tree! We always have a live Christmas tree and over the years we have purchased from different places, including Garden Gate. This year we went a bit smaller with a 7' Collier. Even though it is smaller, I think it is the best tree we have ever had! It opened beautifully, drinks well, and hardly dropped any needles even though it has been up for a full 3 weeks already!

A great selection of Fresh, Local produce. Many items are even Amish grown. Jams, sauces, pickles, and sweet treats too. The deli is a great place to grab a sandwich if you're tired from shopping inside or outside, where they have a large selection of plants for your garden or porch. Great place and great people. OMG...first of all great selection of nursery items to choose from for all your planting needs. But my husband and I went inside and purchased 2 really awesome hot sandwiches and a side and it was heavenly. Can’t wait to go back and try another option. Best sandwich place ever!

This place is great!! They give out lots of samples and the food is wonderful!! They have lots of breads even pretzel hoagies and croissants. They have gorgeous plants and flowers too. They are open until 7 Monday-Saturday and 6 on Sunday during summer. But they are open year round.

There is a good selection of fresh produce, flowers and homemade goods. I was very pleased with the produce that I purchased for my homemade gift basket (the recipient was thrilled with the fruit selection)and I will definitely be back to pick up another bottle of blackberry lotion (smells wonderful)! I must add that the pimento cheese is pretty darn good as well.

Great selection of fresh produce, but the real reason to go is the deli! Several different made in house deli style sides like potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs, ect. The sandwiches are absolutely delicious! You can make your own or choose from several on the board behind the counter, about 10 cold choices and 5 hot. There's also home made pies, cookies, and brownies, a selection of local meat and sausage, and during the summer they offer e everything you need to make your garden beautiful.

I like this place— they have good produce & sandwiches. The pretzel bread is yummy! The reason I didn’t give full stars is because they typically don’t have dates on the baked goods & I have seen mold on some things! (I believe that is a health hazard too). Besides that it’s great.

During the growing season, I love Garden Gate Market. However, yesterday's visit was not as much of a success. If you're hungry for lunch, a yummy Boar's Head sandwich can be had, as well as a cup or bowl of soup. But if it's produce or the like that you're after.. you're better off elsewhere. The selection was very poor and what was there was at best mediocre. I vought some leeks and a few beets. The rest of the few things I bought could have been purchased at any grocery for much less, I'm sure. The folks that were in there working behind the deli counter were friendly but the owner (?) seemed perturbed that I dared to speak to her. I plan to reserve my future trips to Garden Gate for the main produce season or to buy garden or yard items.

We visit about once a month to purchase Boats Head cold cuts and fresh produce. We like their pretzel bread, they advertise a free loaf of pretzel bread with Boars Head purchase. Today they were out of pretzel bread, and wouldn’t even consider giving me one pretzel croissant instead. As I was leaving, I realized it was yesterday croissants as the bread man hadn’t come in yet today. Disappointed to say the least.

I had the smoked brisket sandwich on pretzel bread with some potetoe salad.this hot sandwich was the best deli sandwich I have ever had.the boars head brisket was so tender and dipped in the trifecta sauce made it pop.I also got some of the honeybell tangerines they are the best I have had.if you want good food and great service go to garden gate.loved it !!!
