My heart was left at this amazing store. It is an awesome place to stock up on traditional Japanese food. The staff is so helpful and amazing. If I lived here I would visit often. They are a smaller store, so they can't stock a lot of items. The pandemic doesn't help. But they will do their best to find what you need.

Just an absolutely amazing place! I have been into the Japanese culture and their products for years. I love all the color and how amazing their products are compared to products in the US. I was in Las Vegas for a short little trip and found this little store. The store itself is not humongous like some of the bigger markets but it sure does have everything and anything you would need. I found so many good items in this store. I found amazing ramen and fish, good drinks, cleaning towels, candy, and an adorable plate. I also found these eye drops that I have been looking for years to find. I got a cream that has amazing reviews and is the best. I also found bath powder which I should have gotten more of. The shop is very clean and all the workers are so kind. If you are in the Las Vegas area I would 100% recommend this store. If you need to find something I bet they have it.

I had a terrible cold and general health ailments. So I missed Christmas shopping and didn't send a box to my daughter in Iowa. So I felt overwhelmed and sad. The cashier was the sweetest kindness woman. As a mom or grandmother she put my mind at ease. Your baked wheat cakes were delicious 😋 Selection is much better when they open I was told. I will be back much earlier next time for fresh Sushi, fruit sandwiches,and baked wheat cakes. Also with ingredient list next time to see what you have for recipe🍲🍜🍣 Looking for quality chopsticks and bowls believe International marketplace has a better diverse selection. Going to your sushi place it's closer to me🍣One thing noticed the sticker on items California proposition on chemicals in products. The sticker was on a lot of items but didn't get them. This staff is wonderful makes me want to learn Japanese and come back again 💞 Your friendliness is refreshing 😊🥲

Great Japanese market with all the best snacks from Japan. Nakata Market also has lots of the hard to find ingredients for Japanese food. Staff is very friendly and will help you keep your Japanese language skills up while you are away from Japan.

OMG! We walked into this place and we were in heaven! So much good things... this place reminded us of home back in Honolulu... This was like a mini Marukai... There were so many things that we long for but couldn't find here... now we know where to go... We are snack food junkies true and true... Here you can find pretty much all kinds of Japanese snacks besides other Japanese wears... Saimin... oh yes the saimin... oh sorry ramen... but yes they have the authentic ramen from Japan... yumm... furikake... that's the seasoning you can put on your rice... we use a lot of this back home especially when you making any kind of musubi (rice ball wrapped in nori)... had the good one! So happy... Da 2 ladies in the store was so nice and helpful... Made us feel right at home... This store was kinda next to da Harley Davidson store on Rainbow... kinda hidden not to obvious unless you are looking for it... But what a find... made our day sunny on a dark and rainy day...

Found this little gem not far from where I live. Clean store and love to explore it, as we found many cute and interesting japanese stuff like that ramen bowl in the picture shown. Too bad at that time I couldn't get green tea KitKat which is my favorite snack from Japan. But it's replaced by matcha roll cake. My son and I love it. Would love to come back again.

Great little Japanese groceries and lunch bento type foods. Excellent thoughtful service always. Interesting to look at all the different items, although often it's made in China instead of Japan. About 11:30am is when they put out the traditional sushi style foods. It is fresh, simple and tasty. I wish the store was closer to me towards the southwest. There is another location in Henderson, but this store has a greater selection of merchandise. Either way both locations are top notch. I wish the prices were a but lower, but it's obvious importing goods from far away has it's costs. I am still a fan and glad to have found the stores this past year and when I am nearby I always stop in for what must be what it's like in a Japanese store. A++++++ 😁👍

I forgot to leave a review of this place. Man ever since coming to this little store, I cannot wait to go back. A pretty small store but with a huge selection of Japanese Snacks, Drinks, Pastries, Candy, Food… anything you are seeking you can definitely find here. I went in with the intentions of buying two or three things, came out with more than two or three things. The staff was so friendly, & the owner is super friendly & adorable as well. Can’t wait to return!

This was such a cool Japanese market! Such an amazing variety of Japanese food/drinks/goods. The ready to eat food was delicious, we got some onigiri that were perfect and all the other bentos looks just as good!

If you pass by this and don't visit, your loss. I've been coming here for years and it's one of my favorite places in town. I simply can't pass by it and not go in. All of the chewing gum, rice balls (which I still call "triangles"), beer, tea, tea sets, hair gel, seafood, sushi, cooking sets, and more are all here. This is NOT me saying it's like a "little slice of Japan". I've never been there. I'm just saying I am familiar with some of the products and no other place in town offers what Nakata Market can.

Nice little store, not crowded and easy to get to at Rainbow & Charleston by the McDonalds I get my favorite loose leaf green tea and edamame here plus if I’m hungry might pick up some sushi rolls haha. They also have ramen bowls, tea sets, kitchen towels, snacks, and all the other Japanese foods like miso & pickles.

This is an awesome place to get the authentic Japanese products i grew up loving. I'm from Hawaii and I'm used to the prices. Its not cheap but its darned good. They'll special order for you too. Arigato for these great stores!

Specialty Market, ofcourse it might be a little pricy. hahaha Went here for the 1st time and spent around $80 for alot of knick knacks. hahaha We tried their freshly made Onigiri (Mentaiko, Tuna and Salmon) $1.95 each.. Sooo good! Was craving for Chocolates so, what else to buy.. but their famous Macadamia and almond ($3.89 & $4.19). Meiji Choco Baby is ($2.09 each). Actually, prices aren't really that bad. There's alot more to see here.. will definitely visit again and again and again.

What a great find. They carry everything I wanted. Not a big store but they stock all the popular items. No fresh produce or meat counter but meat is offered frozen.

Store is very clean, staff is generally very pleasant. Employees do their best to greet customers when entering store. Very good selection of various asian items. Frozen fish is generally excellent. Hamachi Kama even while frozen had very good taste. Previously bought frozen sanma and had to discard it as the texture of the fish did not seem right after defrosting (i did not ask for a credit, as it was after 4 weeks before preparing for my dinner), I'm sure if i asked they may have given me a consideration. My only real complaint is the frozen items do not have an expiry date. (I'm hoping in the future they will put a date on it). For now i will ask a clerk how long the fish was in stock. I will trust they will be upfront with me. Overall I like this store very much and look forward to visiting again.

If you're looking for some imported grocery food/snack products from Japan. Check here and you may find them. Some liquor, dishware small gifts can be found there too. It's a cozy market, but at times when I have a craving for cold sake, a musubi or mochi ice cream...time for a visit. Update...The tough economic conditions seem to be hurting the variety of the inventory. So you should satisfy your cravings soon, because who knows when you may find a specific product again?!

Went here a few days ago. I was able to tastes foods I've always wanted to try for years. Plenty of ingredients for any recipe you're trying out and lots of utensils as well. They have a little fresh section as well for a quick meal on the go. I will be coming back.

I love Japanese food and Japanese culture, even though I'm not Japanese but at this store I feel welcome. I come there on a somewhat regular basis to buy my favorite candy. (I love eating but the same time my friends like stealing from me lol) if you're looking for a certain item from Japan They might have it. I recommend anyone the store and I love it.

I went specifically for yuzu ponzu and garlic ponzu. I found yuzu ponzu and some garlic butter soy sauce which I can't wait to try. Also picked up a couple of onigiri, which were fresh and tasty. They also had a good selection of snacks and candy. The staff members are polite and helpful.

A little slice of Tokyo right here in Las Vegas. They have lots of unique Japanese foods and other items like household tools from Japan. Staff is very friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for something Japanese.

Well arranged small store. Bento boxes and rice bowls with salmon slices look fresh. No fresh fish for sashimi per se but frozen only. Nonetheless they look better than the so called fresh ones in other Asian supermarkets. It tasted fine seared but I wouldn't have eaten it as sashimi. Note that the entrance has no sign. I missed it the first time.

Very friendly staff! Love this place! Only downside is that it is quite small. It has about 5 small isles, and 5 freezers. However, they have a great selection. I might just be spoiled from living in Los Angeles, and having giant Japanese supermarkets. So far this is the best Japanese market I have found, and I drive about 30 minutes just to come here to grab some Nori!

Well-kept, clean Japanese market with a fair assortment of Japanese noodle styles, soup cuts of pork, and frozen fish for use in various dishes. This is the only store I know of to sell kirimochi in the valley; they also have a good variety of rice for a smaller-sized store. It seems like a good place to shop for snacks and drinks as well. The store also has Calorie-Mate, a rare find for the area.

I recommend this market for Japanese products, which are hard to find in Las Vegas. They have a some of the best sushi already made and bento which is like homemade. Their prices are very reasonable and the staff is very friendly not like some places where it's hard to find someone to assist you finding a Japanese product you're looking for.

Their new owner took over the business about a year ago, which is doing well. The take out lunch is slowly increasing the menu, which is my delight. Sushi and Unagi on rice lunches are my favorite. Try their powdered tea leaves from Ito-En.

My only issue i had was there wasn't any fresh vegetables. They have tons of instant ramen and sushi you can take to go. And snacks. Its a good place to go if you're just picking up little things.

I love Nakata, I've been going since I got back from Japan in 2011. The staff are always super kind and helpful. Nakata Market of Japan has a lot of snack foods as well as some Fresh Foods like onigiri. They also have books and riding supplies as well.

They have Natto!!! I grew up in Japan and always have cravings. Nakata has EVERYTHING I have ever needed for my cravings. Great variety of fresh and prepackaged Japanese foods. Instant Golden Curry is to die for as well as a steady supply of Pocari Sweat. Prices are average. $$ on a scale from $ to $$$$. If you're looking for a reliable source of Japanese goods, I would recommend Nakata any day.

Really the best place to get Japanese groceries and other things in Vegas. Aside from food, they sell various kitchen-related items (dishes, small appliances like rice cookers, other kitchen accessories), beauty products, some yukata and sandals, magazines, and they even rent movies. The ladies that work there are always nice to deal with and they make every visit pleasant and easy.

This little Japanese shop has everything! I frequent this place as much as I go to Greenland. There are many items that cannot be found in most places that this place keeps readily stocked. The prices are a little high, but it is the cost of having everything Japanese that makes this gem of a place worth it.
