Not the best neighborhood. A few shoplifters hit the store while I was there picking up a few grocery items. Workers and cashier weren't very friendly, seemed irritated to be there.

I come here all the time, but the last time I was in there about two or so weeks ago, the staff was rude and wouldn’t explain to me why I had to leave without being able to purchase my products. I spend about an hour or so looking around for hidden gems, and so I can see if they thought I was loitering, but I clearly was not!!! I guess they asked me to leave, but because I wasn’t doing anything wrong, I didn’t realize that she was talking to me?? I haven’t been back since, because what the heck?

True Meaning

I shop here often & the staff is very friendly & welcoming. Ms. Nicole does a very good job greeting all the customers & she's very friendly & professional. She's always the same smiling & has a great personality. She's a hard worker & knows how to run a store. Everyone works hard to make sure the customers has what they need when shopping. They all deserve 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They have great prices but the outside is just pretty gross to be completely honest. When you go to walk into the store it's really dirty. An there are always several bums either right outside or at the bus stop directly infront of the store which is completely disgusting it self. This side of town is just nasty. If I had another option at the moment to shop somewhere else I would but unfortunately not having a car really makes it hard. It's the closest place I can walk to with where I'm staying at the moment. I will say though that the people that work there are really nice.

A very nice place to shop for your basic grocery and supply needs. The owls in this Dollar general market place is very clean and neatly organized. The staff are very kind to each other and ready to answer any questions that you may have. There are a lot of items that you can find especially grocery items that are cheaper in price. Also there is a lot of home items like clothes, bathroom items, if you need headache medicine, home decor, and many more. It is also very easy to find items that you're looking for because this was the first time that I have been in it and I am happy to say I will be going back.

Has all the essentials that the larger grocery stores offer with out being so...crowded and large. Some good deals and low prices makes them a convenient shop. Certain items can be more expensive then at their larger competitor grocery chain just up the street.

I really like this store! It's like a mini Walmart. They have just about anything you're looking for, including produce, meat, frozen food, dairy and dry food. It was very clean and organized, which is hard to accomplish at a discount store! The prices are good. I only engaged in conversation with the cashier and she was very pleasant and seemed to like her job. I will definitely be going back. In fact I'm going to go there instead of Walmart whenever possible. This particular location (Maryland Pkwy across from Sunrise Hospital), seems bigger than other locations. They also have a gaming section so you can bring the husband and sit him in front of a machine while you check out all the fun stuff they have!

Almost every Dollar General I have been to, is a pleasant experience. They have great prices, great quality and the employees always seem in a good mood. Unless they are having a huge restocking day, the place is always very clean and very organized. Dollar General has almost everything you need. From personal supplies to cleaning supplies to party supplies and even cool toys. Dollar General is definitely a five-star place always.

This place is amazing. It's like a Dollar General right like all the snacks. But then they have a produce section and it's pretty good for a Dollar General not as good as Kroger but if you wanna combat all the snacks you got. Grab an Orange before you leave.

It has all the necessities for the home but the aisles are very narrow and it's not clean. The employees don't enforce the distance stipulations for Covid-19, nor do they sanitize anything after a customer touches things. They're more interested in stocking the shelves than the look, sanitization, or cleanliness of the store.

I love this place to go grocery shopping. Its affordable close to home. I love that its small enough to feel easy to get in and out of unlike the huge Walmarts and big box stores. And there was the most courteous employee there a few weeks ago that offered and kindly carried sll my groceries to the car. It was so refreshing this young man had manners and when I asked him what part of the South he was from. He said he wasn't from the South. He was from LA. But his momma taught him right. No one had done that for me since at least 10 or 15 years ago. A pleasure.

A good alternative to larger supermarkets. Everything from soup to soap. From beans to beef. Crayons to chickens. Interesting store with dollar items plus fresh fruits and meats at slightly less cost. Very friendly staff. Well run. Nice clean carts.

Helpful staff, needed a hand getting juice from top shelf. Barbara is efficient and insistent, lol. At any rate, it's a good small store. Unfortunately, a man left the store with a body full of products. Barbara tried to tell him to stop but her drawer was open so she couldn't get him.

I like the store it's peaceful calm and small it's a nice place to gather your thoughts while you're waiting in line which on a hole isn't too bad and sometimes not at all. I love their colorful produce bags they're bigger and they got some great prices to and some hard to find items that you would least expect. Go Dollar General go go go

Pretty good prices on most items though the selection isn't huge. Lots of cheap items if you need something in a pinch. Store is pretty clean though it's in a bad neighborhood with a bunch of homeless people who hover nearby. Tons of cops nabbing speeders on Maryland Pkwy so dtive the speed limit out there.

Shop here often friendly employees who I see help bring groceries out to vehicles of customers who could use the help. The only issue I have had with this location was coupons not being properly honored when the coupon was sent by them it was just a minor inconvenience not a deal-breaker besides that the store has been pretty good I shop there often

Very nice place get a lot of stuff from liquor to daily reqs the black elderly lady and the black girl who came and gave us a hand with all the stuff we bought till the car were really high on hospitality. Nice people. We were just visiting from the beachside where we live in CA and it was so hot and unbearable but got all the fluids for our trip.. thank you guys.

Like most dollar generals..slow at the register with usually only 1 open. They are getting better about calling up another checker. At the moment they have no hand buckets for shopping. So if it is something bulky or more than 4-5-6 items your stuck with a regular cart.

This D.G. in particular is amazing ....despite the location this crew is amazing, every cashier *when met with* is happy and helpful the store manager (or at least i thought he was) stayed over his shift(salary=no overtime) to fix the card reader for the cashier ringing us (both where super positive thru out) up he very well could have delegated to some one else but went the extra mile instead....the kicker is he was originally behind me inline to check out and go home for the day .......totally impressed

I don't see how people say this is a nice place to shop. There are some item that are worth coming here for; like water and such. But some of their prices are higher than Wal-Mart. I'm just saying. The staff does not look very happy to be working here. They have 8 customers in line and 1 cashier on register while 4 are putting things back on the lines. Oh well. It's a gamble.

Dollar General has appeared to me to be a struggling brand for a while, and this store is a bit of a reflection of that. It was clran and the staff was polite, but did not seem to know that they didn't carry what I was looking for. I walked about the store seeking it for longer than was necessaryonly to leave a bit disappointed. It's a concurrent place for the locals to be sure, which it's a big part of why it still exists. It dies is job ok, and that's about all.
