Reviews of Thai Phat

Such an amazing variety of frozen fish 😍 Great selection of food, fresh produce, etc. hands down the best Asian food market in Vermont. Worth the travel. …

The selection here is great. However, you definitely need to keep an eye out of expired food. It seems like they like to remove/rub off expiration dates on certain items (I've bought quite a couple before noticing) and they keep expired food on their shelves, so definitely use caution.

My Thai wife and I traveled all over Burlington looking for what she needed to cook the meals I loved so much back in Thailand. This store was the mother load! Now we know to go straight back to Thai Phat.

Have been shopping here for many years. A great selection of groceries and cooking products. Anthony and his parents are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Small location with tons of products. Asian produce, dry goods, and frozen items abound in this narrow aisle shop.
As with anywhere, check for quality before purchasing. Large selection of ramen noodles and frozen meats/fish you won't find elsewhere locally.
This is my favorite asian grocer within 2 towns.
The owners are nice, hardworking folks.
I hope they eventually get more refrigeration for their produce. It's sad to see produce die out.
Always find what I need here!

One of the first Asian grocery stores in the Burlington area serving the Asian community and others. Over time this store has expanded a little in size while cramming more products, thus making the aisles quite narrow and making them passable for one person at a time. You'll find non-perishable items such as noodles, sauces, rice, spices, various ingredients, snacks, candy, and many more. They have some frozen items, hard to find Asian drinks, as well as some fresh fish, meats, fruits, and vegetables. Other items such as utensils, bowls, chopsticks, plates, cups, incense, and calling cards for Asian countries are available as well.
This store is packed with stuff which are not commonly found in general grocery stores. On street parking can be difficult to come by but you can find one in the parking lot to the side and behind the store. If you are looking for friendly service, you are forewarned, smiling and courtesy by the staff is very optional here. But hey, you'll find the cool yummy Asian products. Win some, lose some. :-)

Love it, small narrow isles but a good variety. I am a gain of buying my dumplings there average cost of $6.36 for around 40 pieces at that price is cheaper then making them from scratch

I don't know what I would do without Thai Phat! I rely on them as a member of the Old North End neighborhood. Their prices are great, I can get fresh produce without going downtown, and the owners are super nice. Plus their hours are super convenient!

I love this small, family owned and run grocery store. They offer traditional Vietnamese food staples, as well as some Korean, Japanese and Nepalese snack foods. I found all the ingredients needed to make Pho, as well as my Korean recipes.

Been going here for a while now. Used to talk to the older owners alot but a decade later and they have even more stuff on the shelves. 10/10. Can never catch the sandwich delivery's on time though.

Huge selection! I moved to VT from a town with a HUGE Asian market, so I was a bit disappointed that there are only a couple tiny ones around here, but this one basically has a bit of everything you might want. And there's stuff from everywhere: China, Japan, India, etc., not just Thailand.
It's really cramped, but that's fine. The parking situation in the neighborhood is SCARY, though. Don't even bother trying to park nearby unless you have to.
Allie Johnston
Bit overpriced and too densely packed with product in the space they have. That said, they have a good amount of items that I typically enjoy buying at your average Asian market. Wish there were more non-Thai imports.
Dave McGuriman
For Vermont this store is A+++. Need any Asian condiment? Go here. They pack so much into a small space it's frankly overwhelming, especially since many of the products don't contain an English translation. Deccent prices too especially on produce.

Looking for Agar powder for a vegan pumpkin pie recipe and found it here. This place is loaded with so many great items.
Nancy Waitkus
Lotsa good oriental grocery supplies/produce less expensive than chain or health food stored.

Cleanest and least smelly Asian grocery in Burlington area, also the only one where everything has prices listed. Other asian grocery stores need to step up their game.

Great Pho, and tons of the bean sprouts and basil! Large sizes only, but who in the world orders the small size Pho anyhow?

Cute little shop. The employees are very friendly and helpful. First time here and I'll most definitely be going back again soon!!

Veggies are pretty cheap, and it's really fun to explore here if you're not familiar with this type of food. Lots of fun snack type things

Good variety of groceries, cookingware, and snacks from different Asian countries. Best store of it's kind in Vermont that I know of.
