Reviews of Paul Mazza Fruit & Vegetable
Great farmers produce stand in Essex Junction. From the road you are unable to see there is an entire farm along the river.
The cut flowers are pretty much over now although a few straggly sunflowers remain. Plenty of pumpkins and squash with so many varieties I’ve never seen. A swan squash? A warty pumpkin?
Greens, tomatoes, peppers, beans, and root veggies plus several kinds of apples provides plenty of choice. There is also a selection of homemade pies, cookies and maple bread.
I shop here every time I’m up visiting family in the area.
Wonderful selections of pre-picked fruits and veggies but also the option to pick your own. I really appreciate the PYO flower section and herb section. There are fresh pies, breads, baked goods. Squashes, radish, potato, cucumber varieties, honey, peaches, cabbage, lettuce, carrots, beets, pumpkins, corn, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, asparagus....so much more.
It really is the best alternative and should be the only choice when compared to the grocery store produce around here. Fresh, local, fairly priced and always well stocked. I've been going here for 15 years now and the consistency is spot on.
I love going to Mazzas because there is always so much delicious produce and baked goods. This time we went to get pumpkins to carve and they were really reasonable. We also grabbed some cider donuts and cider that was absolutely delicious.
Best locally grown produce! Pick Your Own coming soon...
Although they didn't carry what we were looking for, the staff was incredibly helpful. The produce they did have appeared to be top quality.
What a great spot for so many things!
This location offers fresh fruit and local produce as well as pick your own options.
You can pick your own apples, blueberries, pumpkins, strawberries, 6 different herbs, and more!
It literally doesn't get any fresher. The strawberries here are an amazingly decadent treat. All the locally grown fruits and vegetables here are spectacular with big bursts of flavor. ie. Apples, Cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, etc.
They had 6+ varieties of apples! The cucumbers have been great for pickling, as I work on my secret recipe.
They also offer their own apple cider and baked goods as well.
One of the best parts, though, is the quiet, relaxed outdoor location. There is a certain zen to the experience of picking your own herbs for a meal or some berries for a crumble amidst the whispering winds of fall.
Parking is easy and service is quick and friendly. Please socially distance and wear a mask.
We absolutely LOVE Paul Mazza's! My children and I frequent this place yearly and make many family memories and traditions with everything they have to offer throughout the season. From the strawberry picking to the blueberry picking; as well as the raspberry picking; apple picking and then getting gourds and pumpkins to end the season!! We get sad on 10/31 knowing they will be closed for winter, but we always look forward to May when they reopen!! We also enjoy the amazing staff & my Daughter especially LOVES one of their workers, Milo!! Milo is from Jamaica and he and the whole crew come every year and work hard!! We look forward to seeing Milo & everyone every time we go!!
This is our go to place for berries, Pennsylvania peaches, the veggies we don't grow in our own garden and all of the corn we can eat in the season...then I blanch some ears, cut them off the cob and freeze and it is like summer in the winter!
Fare prices and pleasant employees. I am happy they are part of our community
One of the most friendly and homely locally owned and operated farm stands to go buy your fresh grown produce and vegetables as well as many other homemade surprises fresh homemade pies breads pastries seasonal decorations flowers and alot more!!
The strawberries are huge and so flavorful. I also bought lettuce that was larger than my head. The price is the same as the grocery store but Paul Mazzas are larger and more flavorful $1.99. So worth the drive.
Cool fields, a nice selection of fresh and local produce. It's a good place if you want to get vegetables virtually straight out of the ground, or if you want to pick blueberries yourself.
We love picking apples here they have a large selection and they are so delicious. They also have strawberry, raspberry, & blueberry picking. We made a pie and tons of applesauce this year.
I have been picking strawberries and blueberries for years usually the River Road stand and also go to the one in Colchester. Love their produce.
Excellent selection of fruit and veggies, much of it locally grown. Have consumed what we bought and it a was very fresh and flavorful.
Great place to bring ths kiddos berry picking!!
Great place for strawberry and raspberry picking, lots of parking and tons of goodies in the farmstand.
Great place to stop and get vegetables. Everything is fresh and there is plenty of selections. Social distancing is easy to follow.
