Reviews of Intervale Community Farm
Only been in winter. Great place to nordic ski. Miles of multiple tracks with varying terrains; open fields, windy wooded paths, park loops. Lots of different parking spots too. Busy on a weekend but with so many trails we hardly saw a soul.
I do Christmas bird counts in the winter and this is one of the stops that we often make. It is a beautiful area and has so many trails that you can walk on. We always see a lot of birds there. I hope to visit sometime when the plants are growing. I think it would be truly beautiful.
On my third CSA, both Summer and Winter and enjoy it very much. The quantity is good, and the quality is excellent. I love having vegetables that are fresh and nutrient-dense as I cannot stand to buy them from many from grocery stores, and I want them actually fresh and sustainably grown. I only got to experience one of their mid-summer celebrations before the pandemic hit, but hopefully they will return. I love spending time there in the summer (where did the tetherball go though?). What I enjoy best is pick-your-own, wandering through the fields myself, and walking through the little grape arbor tunnel when the sun is shining. I love how the Intervale trails connect the farms in the area, and the quiet spots that can be found. The Intervale area is beautiful and love at first sight! (Ok, except for the wood waste depot, but it's not terrible).
Great place ,but definitely bring bug spray and pants. Ticks and mosquito heaven . Avoid the tall uncut grass for sure, but a great very cool place if you watch out for ticks
I have been a member about 10 years. This organic urban farm provides most of my veg/fruit needs 8 months. I just started a winter share, I rarely go to commercial markets except for canned, beer, etc. Funky, friendly vibe, excellent staff and service, and locally-made offerings like cheese, bread, chicken allow me to support Vermont organic and minimize driving around. Just knowing how much this membership reduces carbon footprint makes it all the more worthwhile. ICF makes me a better citizen.
This is a wonderful place with wholesome food.
One of the few customer owned co-op CSA farms in the US. One of Burlington's true treasures.
Sooo cool! Lovely veggies in a great setting. Top
