A taste of Vermont. A great store with so many specialty items. Grab a basket and fill it with sweet treats, unique gifts and other items then you can get it professionally wrapped to give as a wonderful Christmas present for someone special. The store also has fresh meat ready to be sliced from the farm. I stopped here before heading to the airport to stock up on Vermont goodness.

Dakin makes some of the best sausage I have ever had. We are thoroughly addicted to the maple breakfast sausage, and we also love the chicken sausage as well. Their maple syrup is a little too smoky for our taste on pancakes, but it is a great savory syrup for chicken and waffles or in a homemade maple BBQ sauce. I love that they have a wide selection of premade gift baskets, and they make it super easy to ship those out of state to folks who need some VT products.

I was in the store to stock up,our freezer with ribs this last week...I have breathing issues and my meds weren't working the woman working saw I was in distress and quickly checked me out and carried the heavy load to my car. Great selection of maple syrup, candy, and assorted VT goods. Farm fresh meat is available including different types of sausage, ham, and bacon. This is also one of the few places I have found to buy distinct varieties of Cabot cheese.

Once you have had their pure Vermont maple syrup you'll NEVER want anything else. I use the dark on my pancakes and French toast and it is AMAZING. The people working there are very friendly and really know their products so they will be able to answer any questions you may have. Its location is withing walking distance from the hotels in that area. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because the discontinued the 1 liter glass jugs of syrup. They need to bring back the glass. I promised you once you have their syrup you will NEVER be able to use store bought commercial products. You'll taste the difference with the very first bite and be hooked like me.

We do corporate gifts through Dakin every year and I can not recommend them enough. Super simple online ordering and easy to work with on the phone for bulk orders. They have a great selection of local products and the store has some tasty samples.

Lots of Yummy samples..... If you can't go to the main store, this is the second best. The ladies at the counter are very helpful, specially if you need help with gifting. Tip: the locals get Grade B Maple Syrup (AKA Dark with Robust Taste Grade A) I buy a gallon and that will last us for about a year or so. There's a variety of cheese spreads, preserves, maple spreads.... The sausages, pepperonis, salames are all tasty. The Spiral Ham is a holiday feast you can have with or without a holiday! Cheers!

Do you like maple? So you like maple syrup and candy pretending that you live on a quaint New England farm? Then this is the place for you. Especially if you are drive by. However, it would be countlessly better if you actually supported the farms you saw on the way.

First off...You can get most off the stuff online or by catalog...But too walk in, and get samples if great!! But my one problem... Get new cash registers!! It took nearly 20 minutes to run a credit card, since one register crashed/locked up, and the other one would not connect....Ended up going to a 3rd machine... Employee was very apologetic, but said it happens more than it should...Meaning it was too common an issue....Due to old dated equipment.

I like Dakin Farm products but their turn around time for standard shipping (4-10 days and its always at least 9 days) is WAY TOO LONG! I ordered a gift last tuesday and today (7 days later) reciebved confirmation that the package was just shipped today. I dont understand why it takes a mail order business 7 days to process & ship a package. I encounter this every year. Makes sending a last minute Dakin gift package impossible unless you want to spend lots of $ on overnight.

In short, if you want to take home something nice, this is the place! Insomma, se si vuole portare a casa qualcosa di carino, questo è il posto giusto!
