Reviews of Burlington Farmers Market
Amazing Farmers Market with the required fruits, veggies, dairy, animal products, baked goods. What makes it different from other markets is that there are loads of prepared foods like sandwiches, momos, dumplings, tamales, special drinks and artisan products like pottery, art prints, carved rolling pins. There are also tables to sit at. Absolutely worth the trip.
Oh you can also use your SNAP/EBT balance to buy tokens to purchase fruits and veg!
A decent amount of stands. Pricing is a bit crazy but you can find some nice products here. Some fresh produce, and local businesses. Nice to get a taste of a lot of places nearby in one convenient location. Go early before stands run out of things (they will).
Shop locally, every Saturday! It's busy, and for good reason. Farms come out and sell produce, artisans show off unique crafts, food stalls and snack stands. I wish I knew about it sooner, I grew up on Jericho's harvest market once a year and here you can get it every weekend (smaller, but still!)
I do miss the times of City Hall Park, but Pine does have more room and some great new businesses around the area. Obviously, it is a tourist trap, but still fun for the family and just dont pay 30 dollars for some honey. ;) I do pick up some dilly beans and cherry bomb salsa from the salsa lady. I have to catch the name this time!
SO many great, friendly vendors with a wide selection of products. Fresh, organic, fair trade, and local selections of produce, maple products, food, and more. Extremely vegan friendly and I will always be back to see what's new.
WOW. The selection, food, crafts, atmosphere, and more are incredible. I would drive many hours to come to this. There is every type of food and produce you could imagine, and then some. Maple everything. All types of cheeses and breads, and more. This is a must visit place if you are in Burlington on a Saturday. Allow the whole morning, and come hungry! You can easily find a delicious breakfast and lunch, not to mention the multitude of free samples!
Easy Peasy pre-ordered from Lewis Creek Farm, Barrio Bakery and Green Mountain Potstickers! All amazing. Parked at Dealer.com lot. In and out of the market in 15 minutes! Very efficient. Can't wait till Covid 19 is over and we can get back to our regular Burlington Farmers Market experience!
This is a super market with a great selection of vendors. You can always find a variety of seasonal produce, hand made crafts, and prepared food.
There are more stores and restaurants popping up on south street, so hopefully this area continues to build up and becomes a great spot to stay after the market closes on the weekend.
A perfect farmers market, filled with everything you could hope for. Unique take out foods, fresh baked bread, hot chocolate, fresh vegetables, you name it, it's there.
Nice diversity of vendors including farm produce, creamery, baking goodies, distillers, popsicles, plants and crafts. Music was missing - it could have just added a more inviting touch.
Lots of food vendors, so a good place to get lunch. Only shade offered by a tent over picnic tables. Offer free bike check at entrance which is super wonderful.
Parking can be a pain, gravel lot can turn into a dustbowl, and the abundance of barking/fighting dogs can be hair raising at times, but it's a fun farmers market with a nice variety of foods from different cultures. Fruits, vegetables, meats, prepared foods, made to order foods, and plenty of beverage choices including alcohol. Highly recommend!
I found lot of fresh fruits, local wines, dumplings, chili sauces , jalapeños, flavored yogurt.
I would suggest if you are visiting here don’t miss local farmers market on Saturday from 10 to 2 PM only.
Just went here for the first time and it is amazing. I had a great time. Everyone is so kind and there were so many options of stuff to buy and eat! Highly recommended!
Incredible variety of vendors. Something for everyone, including prepared foods (which is why I generally stop by).
Fun. Lots of products. Lots of dogs to say hi. Food was good but a bit $$.
Great area with great views to lake and mountains. Wonderful for recreation.
High quality produce and great variety of vendors
Best farmers market in Vermont, but the new location on Pine Street isn't great. It's not comfortable & there's more crafters & artists than good old fashioned Vermont Farms. #BuyLocal #NoFarmsNoFood
I went in the fall and they seemed to have still quite a bit of produce to offer. Haven't shopped at a Farmers Market in awhile and forgot to check the Nappa cabbage for catapiller worm type things that can happen in organic produce....one had it the other didn't, but that was my mistake. Everything else I bought, the produce was beautiful! I did get some pastries....very good and bought a breakfast sandwich, which you could smell all over the market and enticed me to buy some for me and my daughter and her boyfriend. Parking is a bit of a challenge and the prices were expensive, but they were willing to barter a bit. Parking and prices is the reason I gave only 4 stars. I do recommend going and walk thru the market. It's nice that it's near other stores you can shop at while you're there.
A diverse mix of amazing local vendors! Absolutely no reason not to check it out if you can.
Amazing variety of food. Try the Tibetian food stand. Their Jasmine rice, baos (dumplings), chicken curry dish was awesome. Just a side note, the produce prices are a bit high. Not complaining...just letting you know.
Very well stocked with things like veggies, fruits and farm product you want. They also had a great variety of artisans there. From jewelry to Alchemist for aches and pains. Will start to be a regular Saturday thing...
Fun place to walk around while visiting Burlington.
Always a great spot to grab locally grown fresh produce ( veg, fruit, plants etc.) and snacks. Fresh lemonade. Local pottery. Local coffee to drink and beans to bring home. Bakeries and distilleries.
Great selection of produce and arts and crafts.
I always try to make it to the farmers market! Burlington is always one of the best. Be prepared to top dollar but you probably won't be disappointed with what you get in return. I love to see the season unfold with the different fruits and veg as they show up at the market.
The BEST farmers' market I've ever been to! This has everything, not just produce. So many vendors it was overwhelming in the best way. Many stands offer free samples, so it's fun to try everything and then go back and buy the good stuff. Many stands even take cards, but some don't, so make sure to bring a little cash!
So many wonderful vendors. Everyone wanted to talk to you and tell you all about their product. Had the best day.
This is one of the best farmer's markets I've been to. There was entertainment for kids and adults, tons of food, incredible artwork. Most things tended to be pretty expensive but at least for food there were some lower cost options. Highlights for me were the Halyard Ginger beer stand and some incredible sourdough donuts (can't remember the vendor name unfortunately) from one of the bakeries.
had a wonderful time at the market with a lot of local goodies
This is an amazing market. It was a little crowded at mid-day but there are so many options for grabbing quick bites, purchasing locally made crafts and food items, sampling local beer/wine/spirits, and buying fresh veggies. As an out-of-towner, I wish this was my local market. If you are in the region on a Saturday market day, you should totally check it out. Come hungry.
Lots of great vendors. Handicap parking is limited. Make sure you get there early.
I’ve been to markets all over the state and the BTV Farmers Market is one of the best. Great live music, great street performers, and amazing farmers/vendors. It even runs indoors in the winter time. It is a great way to get what foods are in season.
Awesome stuff. Try the spirolina. It's great! Walk through and buy local. Yummy sweets, interesting mixture of people and local goods. Plus, it's just a quick walk to the water and the sweet deliciousness that is Foam Brewers.
I went for the first time yesterday. It's exactly what most people described. It's held on an empty gravel and dirt parking lot. I went early as recommended when I left around 1 p.m. it was pretty crowded. My only complaints was it was hard to find a cup of coffee on a Saturday morning! As far as I can tell by talking to vendors, there're only two places that serve coffee.the other complaint has there's no trees in the parking lot so there's no shade.I am handicapped so I found I spend half my time seeking shade to cool down.
Big variety in booths. Friendly vendors. Lots of variety and food vegetables and meat products some crafts. Lots of fresh food. We tasted everything Maple it was a lot of fun
Wow, this market really has grown since I've been here last! Lots of varied vendors - food, farm products, and artistic booths are set up in a wagon-wheel layout. Fun to explore, though the crowds can make it hard to maneuver if you have your hands full of organic veggies.
This has to be the finest farmer's market I have ever seen. From grow-your-own mushrooms, to cheese and the freshest produce - it was an embarrassment of riches for us. Also, included a lot of local artists and their work. Clothing, photography, prints, pottery, etc. There were even wine and spirit tastings. Something for everybody - highly recommended.
This farmer's market has a wide variety of vendors with organic fruits and vegetables, as well as food vendors with vegetarian and vegan specialties. Parking is street parking, so you may have to walk a couple blocks, because it's very busy and popular. It's worth the walk. Beautiful area!
Is excellent selection from local businesses, no better place to be on a Saturday
Loved it! Live music in the center and an amazing selection of wares including, farm fresh veggies, fresh baked breads, pottery, cut flowers, potted plants of all varieties, and many other items from local artists.
And so many dogs!!
This market must have over 30 stalls, and from a super wide variety of vendors selling everything from homemade trinkets to jewelery to produce to Himalayan food to spirits to honey and cheeses. I was super impressed by the quality of everything I saw and how affordable things are.
Visited from Albany and this place was amazing. So many options for fruits and veggies and fresh home cooked Nepali, Afghani, Mexican and other food. The maple candy floss was everything too! It's also huge!
A lot of fun, great music and yummy treats. The fruit popsicles from the popsicle stand are the bomb and I get one every time I go. The rest of the food looks yummy, just a little over priced for my taste.
One of the very best markets!
Love this Market. Mainly organic and all local. Plenty of fun ready to eat options for now in addition to whole foods and spirits to take home. Fun entertainment for kids too.
Pretty awesome cross section of local goodies. Lots of dogs, definitely one of the better farmer's markets I've been to. Worth a trip. Go early, because it's pretty popular.
Large, in terms of the farmers market scene. It has everything you could ask for; fresh produce, crafts, and other interesting stands. All locally sourced. A vibrant, upbeat, and social scene, this weekend event is a must visit for Burlington.
Saturday morning at the Burlington Farmers Market is one of the highlights of my week! It's a big Farmers Market that is outdoors in the summer and inside Memorial Auditorium in the winter so take your time and explore. I really enjoy getting to know the friendly vendors who are passionate about growing and preparing some of the best food I have ever had including apples, berries, baby vegetables, eggs, cheese, yogurt, raw chocolate, mushrooms and bread with or without gluten. Everything is lovingly grown in Vermont even the grains in the bread. Heaven:)
Went just for breakfast. 10/10 would go again! Check out pigasus for a bomb sandwhich!
Great local farmers and businesses doing what they do best! Consistently busy, bringing a lot of people to downtown Burlington who may not otherwise come into town.
Check out local produce, butcheries, and local artisans!
AMAZING market! Excellent food and lots of organic veggies and Full Moon Farm has organic meats! Other farms have non-GMO meat options. Many of the bakeries have gluten free options. Plus you can buy so much more than just veggies! Chocolates! Yummy burgers and ethnic food! Vermont wine, hard cider, and alcohol! Herbal products! And so many talented artists and crafters!!!
This is such a dope place! There are so many stalls with wonderful food and service. My favorite is the womyn that sells dumplings and scallion pancakes with martial arts names on the menu [Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Wing Chun, Wun Tang].
There are also so many dogs! Dogs galore! My partner and I were only visiting for the day and were glad to come here. It's what community can be as a space, and really makes shopping feel less staunchly commodified.
i feel like it's still missing a few vendors... not as good as previous years. however, location change and free parking nearby help make it easier to access
Great market 100% local. I really miss it being at City Park with more vendors but still is a must go to on Saturday morning!
Late August is probably the peak of harvest. Fruits and vegetables looked beautiful. Large contingent of bakers too. A large and well organized farmers market!
Wonderful
We hadn't visited this market since it moved to Pine Street. A vast variety of food...ready to eat, as well as produce, and other artisanal products. A must see!
Finally got to check out the Farmers market at the Park in Burlington. There was alot of venders. Some awesome Art and hand Crafted objects ..I thought the veggies were overpriced for the most part. Except Hudaks. There prices were more reasonable. It was a beautiful morning for being downtown..
The Farmers Market is something I go to every week with my friends. The venders are all lovely and the products are so fresh and worth every penny. Our favorite venders are Green Mountain Twisters (soft Bavarian pretzels), Ardelia Farms (the best baked goods and flowers), Stony Pond Farm (burgers, beef and KABOBS), Lewis Creek Farm (all the veggies you will ever eat), Rogers Farm Stead (cake mix, STRAWBERRY MILK), Sweet Rowen Farmstead (the squeakiest cheese curds), Rookies Root Beer (floats and other delicious sodas), Pomykala Farm (asparagus and leafy greens), and Huard Family Farm (GOAT MEATBALLS, goat meat, goat milk soap). The manager of the market is wonderful and the people working at the Managers Market Tent are always happy to help.
I am on food stamps and I can still afford to go to the market because of the Cash Crop where I get $10 free when I use my EBT card at the Managers Tent. So I can get fresh local produce without breaking the bank.
Nice market with lots of vendors. Parking is not well marked, however. But great variety.
Varieties of veggies, meats, eggs, flowers, nut butter, vegetarian food, ethnic food and lots of people. A great place to grab some good food and people watch!
Has everything local you'd imagine: 🍁 goods, local farm foods, baked goods, different cuisines, and distillery items....parking is slim, i would park downtown and walk over …
All the food here is so yummy. Worth visiting Burlington just for this. The lavender bouchon at one of the stalls is possibly the best baked good I’ve ever had.
Great morning out with kiddos.
So much to choose from: kettle popcorn, popsicles, samosas, salmon filets, produce, local milk, flowers, baked goods
I could go on and on.
Only 4 stars because it's $$$
I know, that's local, but still...
Always wonderful energy and friendly locals. Great food for immediate eating as well as local produce and hand made foods and goods. Just don't try and drive around near it.
Fresh veg, prepared foods, plants, flowers, crafts and booze - who could ask for more? Walk or bike if you can and bring your own shade.
Always great to visit the farmers market. Plenty of stands selling fresh fruit and veggies. Also a great place to pick up lunch with many hot food options.
Artisans, fresh produce, great food selection. Good for young and old. Great location on pine street. Lots of bike parking. Very busy
Really really great market. Many wonderful vendors with everything from soap to art. Distillers and food too.
Great way to spend a Saturday morning!
I wish I lived closer! This market was so fun and I wanted to buy and support all the local places!
Does farmer market offers indoor stores such as clothing meat markets fresh seafood fresh pretzels a pawn shop produce nut shot a locksmith that makes keys for cars also programs keys for cars very inexpensive outdoor flea market barbecue new clothes old clothes books knick knacks ice cream a lot of hard to find items you can find at this flea market
Good food. Lots of local liquor sales booths. Great baked goods. Lots of super fresh veggies and meats. A little on the expensive side.
Nice General place to get a variety of local stuff including actual farmer's market style locally grown food, as well as local art and ready to eat food.
Sobremesa Farm to Ferment has amazing homebrewed Kombucha and grear Sauerkraut!! Yummy stuff. Very good.
Love the farmers market. Lots of vendors, live music and great food. Lots to sample. We visit every time we are in Burlington.
I can always find something new, delicious and fresh to eat or bring home. One can easily see why this is such a popular event. Recommended for all ages.
Not the average farmers market. A foody's delight. Fresh made hand made naturally made everything. Almost a religious experience. Check out the pretzel guy.
Great food, drinks, and shopping. It was my first time there and I'll definitely make the trip again very soon.
Jams, distilleries, fresh cheese. Honestly the best farmers market I've been to!
Perfect way to spend a Saturday morning in Burlington. Such good berries, cheeses & fresh foods.
Too crowded, not enough farmers. Parking lot location is unpleasant, muddy, and too far fr anything else.
Always lots of local produce and local made goods. Definitely not cheap, but you're supporting local and trying different things, so it's worth it!
Great farmers market for a Sunday morning stroll and picking up tasty produce (tomatoes, cheese and bread in our case).
We came to Burlington just for the Farmers Market. What a great community event! The food was fabulous, so fresh.
What a great market, and all of the vendors are so kind and passionate about what they do. Great eats, and people watching too.
Super place lots of odd and old stuff in there and the people at work there are super friendly and knowledgeable
This was a fun activity for us all. There are lots of food vendors and they are excellent but a little pricey.
Makers and growers make the world go round! Flavors that come and go with the season - best produce and prepared goodies ever!
One of my favorite farmers market. Great balance of food, art, and vendors. Spring and summer are the best!
Always stop by the Simple Roots tent to try tasty beers from Sam and Kara. Also the pretzel tent is awesome!
Great farmers market. I've been to many and this is easily my favorite with all of the yummy taste and delicious smells.
Didn't have apple pie or any sort of pies but it's what you'd expect from any other market I guess
Too expensive for what you get but this is to expected in such places. Very nice and kind people and great diversity in products and many bio products
Very fun! Music, food stands, farmers with produce, local products and artistic pieces for sale.
Great market. So many good vendors and a wide variety of products to buy and sample.
All the delicious treats, the prettiest produce, plenty of dogs to pet to keep your spirits high.
Cool farmers market. Awesome hangout. Just a little expensive for my taste. Love the art, music and popsicle stand.
New location. They are still working out the logistics. I do miss the downtown location but will see how this new place works over the next several months.
Awesome place to buy all things local from garlic to gin, or tohave a snack, listen to music and make new friends.
Good selection, family friendly. Tons of prepared foods. Port o johns. Wheelchair accessible.
Delicious food and drink. They finally take debit/credit in exchange for tokens you can use anywhere.
I started the Burlington Farmers Market in 1981. It's grown into a wonderful weekend event. Makes me proud.
Lots of great food to choose from, from fresh fruits and vegetables to doughnuts and dumplings. Great crowd, and dog friendly
There are always so many amazing vendors at the market. And a great variety of goods.
So many vendors! Nice place to spend a Saturday morning grabbing breakfast or doing your grocery shopping!

Friendly vendors, great farm fresh foods. This should be your Burlington Saturday morning.
Great finds
Lots of local products and vendors. I bought an embarrassing amount of root vegetables and goat milk-based products. I even bought beard balm. And I don't have a beard.

A scaled down version with COVID-19, but still fun!!

There were tons of different tents and a lot of people, too!
A solid focus on real farm products with some baked goods, beverages and crafts for variety.
Great variety of vendors! Really fun
Huge farmers market with lots of cool local stuff.

A typical farmers market in a small city. Lots of cheese options.
