Since the pandemic favored massive companies like Walmart and Amazon I've been trying to shop smaller. I've come to this place here and there but usually picked convenience. And that means giving your info to sell for "rewards" that might make up for the higher prices. I will be going to Gupton from now on. The prices are good and they are locally owned. They have a bunch of new services since the last time I was there, which was admittedly a long tome ago. They do all kinds of boarding and have a vet. They don't have 90 brands of dog food but they carry what I use, and they have a selection of other products I use for my dogs, so they have everything my dogs need. I used to come here when I kept fish because they had a better selection than the larger chains. They don't have them anymore, but neither do I and the chain stores still have a paltry selection anyway.

Nice and friendly people who try their best to give all their customers great service. Despite being an old building, their dog wash is clean, well insulated, has all the amenities, and is reasonably priced. They do a good job with dog grooming and boarding, and have plenty of pet supplies and services available. We've been going to Guptons for many years and are thankful for their service.

We come from Colorado Springs, and this is our go to boarding facility while we are here. You can tell they love each and every animal that comes to stay. Would not go anywhere else. I've been going to Guptons for over 30 years for my pet care needs. Dr Suzanne Harvey is a wonderful vet who makes it affordable for working class people to take care of our animals. The store has lots of neat stuff for all kinds of pets, as well a large selection healthy treats for our fur babies. As patrons, there's always that one person who can make our experience less than ideal. But Dr. Harvey and her lovely disposition coupled with her love for animals makes up for anyone else who could be having a bad day. 5 stars.

Gupton's House Vet, Dr. Harvey did an amazing job spaying my rabbit. She's extremely knowledgeable and rabbit savvy. It can be difficult to find a good rabbit vet, so she's an absolute gem! I cannot recommend her highly enough.

This is a great place to shop for your pets wants and needs. They have a selection of safe and healthy brands that are affordable that won't break the bank. Their staff is also very knowledgeable on the products they sell and more. I have not tried their services but I have heard great things about them as well. My fur babies and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and all the employees! The Doc is awesome , down to earth , and straightforward and excellent with my girls! I have been coming here for about a year and a half and the staff here is friendly knowledgeable and treat us like family! Cammi is always quick to help with suggestions and ideas for my babies and really has helped me! They have excellent products for your animals and are extremely helpful in picking the best things for your animals and their personalities! To carrying out large purchases, answering questions about anything and everything, to nail trims and outfits choices , or behavioral issues they have gone above and beyond for the animals and their owners! I recommend this vet to anyone who has a fur baby.

Our dog, Chloe, boards at Gupton's when we are going to be gone. She likes going to the playtime day care. There are vet services available . We use the services now as our vet. We are able to make her appointments while she has playtime. We use their grooming service. They are a great family business with wonderful personalized service.

Great family run pet supplies store! Very good prices mostly with many even better than pretty much anywhere else including Amazon and Petco and Petsmart. My girlfriend and I live in Manhattan, but always stop here when we are in town typically for the great prices and finds. Doesn't look very nice necessarily from the outside, but amazing on the inside with almost anything you could think of. They do not sell any animals anymore except for pond fish during the summer when they get them until they are all sold.

Took my 13 year old golden retriever in for a do it yourself bath, It was fantastic. The employees were there if we needed anything and were incredibly nice when we left half a dogs worth of hair behind. They had everything we needed there to use. Will definitely be back again soon!

The people that work here are friendly and I can trust them to treat my very spoiled pets with a caring hand. I take my dogs to Guptons to have their nails clipped. I have one dog that is really scared and they handle him perfectly. He had a bad experience at another vets office. So I appreciated the way they cared for him. My family and I have been going here for decades. Most of our pets have come from here (numerous guinea pigs, rabbits, a chinchilla and a dog) who have all been very healthy. I love the mom and pop store vibe, I think it is ran by Betty Gupton's children now, who are just as nice and helpful as she was. Great hometown mom n pop store vibe, you can tell how much every single staff member truly loves animals. They are always ridiculously knowledgeable about all facets of animal care and happy to dispense advice, consult, or just chat. The store is pretty quirky and kind of crowded, but always immaculately clean. Hope to see their huge, spoiled mascot tortoise hanging around again soon!

I'm dumbfounded. They used to be full of all sorts of pets and supplies. I'm sure it's because of covid but, that was my number 1 reason for going. They're always nice and helpful but I had just wanted to take my little man in possibly find a new "baby" for the house. Either way I'll still go here as much as I can.

Love them so much. They are amazing wth your animals, they can help you find anything for your pet. If they don't have it they will tell you where to go for it, but they normally have what you need. They do nail clippings too, and they are great at at. Love everyone there. I will always tell people to go to them.

Loki bunny went in for neutering Tuesday morning and is doing great. The staff at Guptons are very knowledgeable and straight forward. The aftercare was explained clearly and we were sent home with medications for pain and nutrition supplements. I had to call with a couple follow up questions the day after and my concerns were addressed promptly and professionally. We recently relocated back to KS and between NC and KS I was quoted $250-650 for neutering costs which I found extremely hard to comprehend. I am very pleased to have found Guptons and will now have them take care of all my pets veterinarian needs during our time here in KS. I have told several friends about them already. BIG thanks to the staff for all that they do for our fur babies.

My Pitbull Jax stayed in Gupton's boarding facilities for 10 days. From the very moment we walked in with him for the meet and greet, everyone was so amazing. I was nervous that people would have this preconceived notion about pits and that he wouldn't be able to stay, but they treated him like family from the moment they met him. Even when we dropped him off and he was disagreeing with the dog next to him, they acted like it was no big deal. I was worried they would call me to come get him, but they just sent me pics of him playing in his kennel and let me know he adjusted fine and was doing well and everyone loved him. It put my mind at ease. When we picked him up, he smelled so good! They had given him a bath so he didn't have that kennel smell. It's three days later and he still smells great, even making our house smell great. I highly recommend this company. The people and the products are great. oh yeah and when we went there when we first got our guinea pig, the guy helping us didn't try to sell us a bunch of nonsense like Petco did...he broke down the basics and gave us some good tips. Love this place!

Don't let the exterior fool you, inside is very clean. I take my pup here for doggie daycare. Some other kennels I've been at, have been clean, but have an underlying odor. Not at Guptons. I've stopped in unannounced and am impressed at how clean it is. The staff is very friendly and attentive. My pup looks forward to going there. Besides all that yhe daily price is vey affordable.

There price are a bit much, and they tax differently, since its a family owned, there not open for very long, only from 11am to 6pm and closed on monday, but i live right down the road from them and also do the cheapest nail clip i know in wichita. and even do micro chipping and vet service. Its a great place to go.
