This Walmart Supercenter offers a wide variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and other optional food and items to choose from. Staff was friendly and helpful. This location offers a free underground parking garage.

It's crowded, there are never enough lines, and the place is heavily disorganized. But when you need stuff late night, it's nice to have around. I shop around 8-10pm with fewer issues. No access to customer service, but the customer service is iffy at best during the day anyway. Excellent craft and party sections. Update 07/27/22 Still crowded, but there are alot more registers open. The selection for beauty products disappoints me. There aren't many black options despite this walmart being in a mostly black neighborhood. The craft section is pretty good.

This Walmart has a grocery section and the regular section of Walmart. The store was very clean and organized. The store was easy to navigate and find what we needed. There were only 2 cashiers available so the quicker option is self check out. Parking was easy to enter and exit. No issues identified with this location. The better Walmart store versus the H street location.

Went in for a few things and was surprised to see Christmas items already on sale at 25% off. They only had a few boxes of Christmas cards left and thankfully they were Christian cards. I bought 2 boxes for next year.

The Riggs rd location is my go to store for everything. I think they have more stock than other DC stores. The H st location is only good for food shopping and a few other household items here and there. Don't look for this location to have an abundance of inventory.

As Walmarts go, this one is pretty solid. The grocery section is well stocked and vibrant. The layout of the store is well thought out. There's lots of parking, which is always an issue in DC. My only gripe is that self checkout is too small, and there's no space for a line, so checking out is always a mess... But that's Walmart.

I like Walmart this one in particular in the area because it has everything from fresh vegetables as well. I only wish they had more checkout counters active during busy hours of the day. Sometimes if ur unlucky you may be in line for 20-30mins. They have many check out counter but no person to operate it.

This Walmart is one of the busiest Walmart and stock goes out fast. Being in the downtown area, it has to handle a high footfall. You may feel that staff is not friendly but that's because they get overwhelmed by customer requests and the mess which gets created by high foot-fall. If you smile and ask nicely, most of the staff is actually very friendly. This Walmart is doing a great service by running in a high need area and has an excellent spread of products.

The only thing that I didn't like was that there was only 1 motorized shopping cart available for us handicapped seniors. I walked with the help of holding on to a cart. When metro access came to pick me up my knees were so swollen and sore. I like shopping at this particular Walmart because it is fully stocked and has a nice deli. But they need to make sure the handicapped seniors can have access to the motorized carts. It's not just this Walmart, it's others too.

This is your typical Walmart supercenter: you can find anything that you might possibly need and a lot that you never will. Unfortunately, one of the things that you will never find in this Walmart is customer assistance. They're woefully understaffed, and those employees that you may run into are more than likely going to give you the typical DMV experience. A much better choice is the nearby Georgia Avenue Walmart.

Always feels a little ghetto in there...aisles óften choked with pallets of items to be unpacked, not the most pleasant staff. Random observatíon: Gatorade must fly off the shelves on delivery day. shelves always seem to be empty or have júst a couple of fruit punch 8packsleft.

Now this is a super Walmart! The only problem is that crew can't keep up with the volume of people who take things off the shelf. So there was a lot of things missing and I couldn't find. Update: went back and like half of my receipt didn't match the prices on the shelf. I would advice to take pics and double check prices with the app.

Cashiers are in a bad mood all the time so I rather go to the self check out. I like this Walmart even though there is a lot of crime around that area. They have everything I need at the right price the parking lot is real tight so I just rather do my shopping around 9 PM since they close at 11. Plenty of parking. You always have to be watching your surroundings.

Biggest Wally in DC. They have a decent selection, comparable to any suburban Walmart. Lines are crazy long and some lanes are narrow as heck but if you live in the area this is place is why. Staff is better than the H Street crew for sure.

This is regarding my visit on 7-23-22. The Walmart on Sargeant Rd. NE. I went to customer service to find out if the store sold dehumidifier. I was pointed in the directions of where I should go to locate this item by 4 different Walmart Associates. I would think good customer services would have been to take me to the item rather then pointing. This is not the answer . Customer Service gets a -0 rating for this. This not how you treat seniors.

Crowded and lines were long. Several items were randomly placed on shelves. However, not necessarily staff fault, unless it had been there for a while, but something tells me that wasn't the case as I saw several staff members that looked tired and irritated while out on the floor trying to fix things. Floors were also sticky in a few different places. I felt bad for the staff at this location.

Pick up has excellent / great customer service. They had everything I needed and wanted including the stuff I forgot to order online. I love Riggs road store they always have everything I need. But the customers that come into that store are really ghetto and they try to steal people food while they are there with their cart and they try to fight you watch out.

Not too good experience, they did not have any of the 4 things we came for. Also they don't sell graphic cards in this store. Staff was 50/50 some was very helpful and good attitude. While others seemed annoyed by customers getting in their way and asking "stupid" questions. Somewhat hard to navigate the store. And prices has gone up lately.

They were busy as expected, but had more stock than I expected. The one thing I was looking for in the frozen meats section was gone, but the meat clerk/manager was very helpful when I asked a question. Many ppl had questions for him and he applied the same patience and courtesy with all of us. I wish I could remember your name because it was mad busy in there at that time, but you were pleasant and attentive. Thank you so much!

Best Walmart in the area. Sometimes the line back up obviously, but you will reach the promise land eventually. Best stock in the area also. I base this on a 10 - 15 mile radius. Friendliness of the employees have improved considerably. Overall, coming right along. Hope your experience is positive.

Walmart is okay for a quick trip the one I went to was clean and stock well and things were hard to find but it helped get some steps in. The staff needs some customer service classes. Especially if you're stocking a shell with coffee I ask if you have a particular kind and the person couldn't help me. Maybe a language barrier, polite but not helpful. Then I try to get coffee creamer and the handles are broken off the door! No staff around so I tried opening the next door push the door I need it opened but closed so quick I couldn't catch it a friendly customer saw me and asked if I needed help 😅 she grabbed the door after I pushed it open 😅 really FIX THE DOORS! I tried ordering online but the delivery dates were so broken up I didn't like it. We all are going through something so let's try and make it nice for others. They have greatly increased their vegan frozen food offerings. There’s a surprising variety of options in the grocery section. But all Walmarts have a somewhat rundown feel, starting with carts that look old the day they open.

Store was busy for holidays my main issue is to double up on security. Anyone have purchased electronics, watch your surroundings! At self checkout, I overheard 2 customers and an associate (this is at approximately 1:50pm) planning on attempting to steal our electronics on our way out; and possibly following us home. Watch out for petty thieves at this time of year.

This is one of my Favorite Walmarts. The location is convenient to DC & MD. It is always fully stocked AND sales FRESH meat, veggies and food. This store is my go to for the holidays! Though there are long lines at just about every Walmart this store knows how to move the lines quickly.

The store was crowded. Not enough cash registers open to address the long wait times. The merchandise was strewn about the store to the point the store looked in disarray, cluttered and very disorganized. My cashier, however, was wonderful and very patient and professional while I addressed a problem with my debit card. DO BETTER WITH KEEPING STORE ORDERLY. The bathroom thankfully was clean and fully stocked with toilet paper and soap, etc.

I like this Walmart store, but the only thing that i hate so much, is the parking... People drive like 25-30mph in an area that is very small and that can hit someone so easily. I think that they have to do something about that, but overall, the prices and the products are great.!

I have to give 4 stars today. The Customer Service desk had 15 people in line and only one worker. But I saw one lady walking around talking to others that were working. I ask for a supervisor to get help but she said they only had one worker for that station. It would be great if it was easier to ring for a supervisor.

I want to give a special shout out to the manager Julianna on the Sunday morning shift today, May 31. I had a huge order that needed 2 carts and she went out of her way to help me with everything. I shop here in bulk every Sunday and it's always well stocked and clean and orderly. I love this location!

Alot better than Houston Walmarts. The carts run smoothly and they are sanitized, lines weren't very long either. Execpt the scalator to go down to the parking gararge wasnt operating.

I love this Walmart but let me tell you some of the on going issues. I go early when they first open. Today and last Saturday they only had 2 cash registers open. Another one opened up later. I tried to get in self check out with my cart full of stuff. The lady with dreads told me 5 items or less. Never heard this before. I was willing to do the work due to the lack of employees. I ended up having to wait 30 mins in line. Everybody in there were getting groceries. So I leave I see the lady at the self check out with a cart full of stuff. You can't choose who you want to help. Why the hell are they waiting until 8 to put money in the cash registers? Just be prepared to wait in line.

Get in Early and watch for stock up days. Get out before 10 or 11am .it's quiet and easy shopping.like most walmarts in this area they can run out of items, but there on top of it .it's hit or miss with cashiers and customer service. I loved it when it first opened. I just hope it doesn't turn out like H street store it became a cesspool of homeless and drunks hanging around from other places. so far this is one of the best Walmarts . Thumbs up Riggs Rd!

I came in there after 10 pm and everyone was pleasant especially the night stockers and a couple times I asked were something was each time I was quickly walked over to the certain items. Cashier was cordial, did not get rushed to pay for purchased items right away and was understanding as she swapped out the small bags for big ones when I told her was carrying everything up some flights of stairs in my building.

Great Supercenter but it was way to crowded for me. The isles are to small to shop on a distance bases. And the consumers are not aware of their surroundings. No one is paying any attention to social distancing. They're just casually shopping as if it were business is back to normal so I immediately left yhr store after picking up my online order.

This store is such a convenience. I haven't had any issues with food being expired or moldy and it's very rare that I can't find what I'm looking for. The MAJOR issue I have is with the customer service staff. They spend more time having personal conversations than they do answering the customer's calls. There is no way possible we should be bounced around from one call to another or just placed on hold. Answer the damn phone.

My last is to Walmart was okay however it was very crowded to try to check out. I was in line and the setup was such that I had to stay in the line until I got up to the cashier but I could not go to one of the cash registers that were closest to the door I was a bit frustrated in that because I didn't want to have to wait in a long line. Otherwise it was okay.

Three stars for the workers there trying hard to keep the place running. Store upkeep is decent and generally good. Minus two stars for the shoppers who are so reckless they walk around taking their masks off. Do you really want this to be under control or prolong the deaths & the lockdowns? It doesn't matter if you're symptomatic or not, please do your part for all of us.

One of the best organized Walmart's in the area. Walmart traffic is always heavy because it's WALMART duh!!!!! But I can say they work well getting customers in and out as quickly as possible, even during holidays. Not to mention their grocery department is usually well stocked. Only complaint I can give is there isn't enough cashiers/associates to help customers in the Electronics department

Carried all items I usually purchase. Doesn"t have a deli department. Nevertheless, they are well stocked! Even with a large crowd of customers they manage to check out each customer in a fair amount of time. Also offers self check out. Crowded parking lot, but always a space to park and a shopping cart to use.

I planned to come to this location today to only purchase 2 Red Bulls. Needles to say I walked out of there with 5 items! I've been to a couple of other locations in the city, and I can break the news to you that this location has much more to offer. They have a huge produce and grocery section, and the men's clothes section was also pretty large. I came in late afternoon, and the place was packed with customers. The one obvious thing that I like about shopping here are the low prices. The entire reason for traveling to this location was to buy 2 Red Bull energy drinks for $2.50 each. Their price is more than $1.00 less than anywhere else. The 2 that I had purchased for $5.00 exactly would have cost more than $7.00at the local convenience store. I happened to notice the roasted chickens that they had on display for less than $5.00 which is exactly $6.00 at the grocery store. Nowhere in the DC area will you find a cooked chicken for less than $5.00. I tried some when I got to my car, and it tasted quite good!

This Walmart is clean. But the shelves where bare. I don't know if this is a regular thing or I happen to pick the wrong day to come, a Friday. It's disappointing to have your heart set on getting certain products, just to find out they are out of stock or limited.

I like this store in general. Is it the perfect set up? No but it has a lot to offer and lots of room for growth, nothing a little tweaking can't fix. The overall customer service is great. They have a helpful team there. The store is very big. They have several motorized carts available most of the time (im there almost daily so I've seen them with my own eyes☺). If they don't have something in the store, management has no problem ordering it. They have been doing that for me since the store opened and it is greatly appreciated. Check them out.

I went shopping at the Walmart Supercenter late one evening. The store staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was not the cleanest and could of could have been a bit cleaner. It was not that it was dirty. It just felt very"half-hazard" and could have been more organized. A lot of empty carts sitting around, shelves disorganized , and not not properly faced, clothes were on the floor that had fallen off their hangers or shelves

The store itself it a great place to shop at the fruits are always fresh, and the store usually have most of what I need when I’m there but the service sometimes sucks really badly! The door greeters are great but finding help around the store is a hassle. Trying to contact the store on the phone to see if they even have what I need is even hard sometimes. I’ve even stood at pick up and watch the customer service representatives look at the phone ring multiples of times and not answer. It’s upsetting but I really like the store.

This is the closest Walmart to where I live and it never fails to have extremely long lines and self check outs closed, however my past 2 trips had little wait time and today I had a short wait time in customer service also more checkouts open. Even though there seems to be a need for more cashiers, I have always believed EXCELLENT customer care, both in the aisles when help is needed and friendly cashiers. The security staff as well as stickers seem to be available and helpful no matter what time of day or night.

My husband was once given a plague that read, When I die, Bury me at Walmart, So my wife will come and visit! It's was hilarious then and now, When company comes to see us! Lol

Lots of customers wearing masks without their noses covered. What is the deal with these people? We are dealing with a pandemic that kills and/or mains people, and you can't figure out how to wear a facemask? I even saw an employee without their nose covered. Otherwise, store is fine. The self checkout did not have any sort of NFC payment, which was a bit irritating. Otherwise, the store was trying it's best to help with social distancing.

This is huge Walmart. It may not look like it from the outside but it's big. The meat section has a full service as well as dairy. I got sum really nice cup cakes from the bakery area but in frozen desert area. They were decorated so nice & had fillings in the center. I think they were called Kelly's Cupcakes. The taste was just as good as the icing. Not to sweet but very tasty. It so nice to go to the store and get everything u need from cleaning supplies, automotive, food, clothes & linnen's all right there. How great is that? A big plus in my book & good quality at great prices. PS. I don't like paying for bags!

This place is awesome. I got my beats by dre headphones from here. I got them for $139.00. Target was selling them for double that amount. Walmart has a lot of awesome stuff. You have to pay for plastic bags now. You didn't have to before, but now you do.

I love this Walmart and they had everything. First time I was there the front of the house was rude to it's customers, I had vowed to never come back, that was two years ago. This time it was great experience, entrance to floor staff and the front of the house was great a 180 degree turn around will be back. Need to repair or add more handicap wheel drive carts.

I don't think it is petty to say a store closes before the posted time. That is false advertising. I drove 5 mi to a store in Landover Hills. Got lost and arrived at 8:25. Sorry, we are closed. Me, it is 8:25. WE ARE CLOSED. Ignant fat woman. Close to a hundred cars in the parking lot. All I needed was a car battery. I knew it would take them a good 45 minutes to clear the store. SO that being said, if they want to get out at a certain time, post the closing appropriately. Other wise the store is really good !

It's new and clean. I went for the first time Friday afternoon. It wasn't crowded, maybe still undiscovered. It's a big layout, wide aisles to walk through. It's kind of the sub-urban Walmart that I'm accustomed to, as opposed to smaller crowded feeling city stores. The produce section is bigger than The Georgia Ave store. I even had an employee smile at me and ask me if they could help me. I hope it stays this way. Good job so far, keep up the good work.

As well the cashiers give the appearance that they either do not want to be at work or do not understand why they are to be there.

This store is one of the best in our area. The shelves seems to always be stocked. The staff is always there to help. Sometimes you have to wait for staff but not a long time. This location is always crowded so it would be nice if they kept more lines open. It's really not a lot to complain about. I would give five stars but it's not perfect.

Staff here is very friendly but the aisles seem more cramped than in other stores. Back to school supplies are in different places so you need to search the store. Some shelves are quite messy and disorganized. Parking lot is convenient but watch out for shopping carts. Produce seems fresh and grocery aisles are well stocked.

This store had stocked shelves and staff willing to help-- the things most important to me. I visited late in the eveninng and wasn't sure what to expect. When I walked in, I noticed lots of asociates all over the store stocking shelves with products. Even still, when I asked for assistance from a couple of them, they were happy to help. The selection of women's clothing was a little sparse, but I am used to visiting the larger store in Laurel. It is a smaller Walmart, but I like that it is a super Walmart with a pretty decent food offering.

Walmart is consistent with having what you need with little to no customer assistance given. Even if you need help its hard to find an associate without waiting atleast 10 minutes for help. Prices are normally lower than competitive stores and location is convenient for me.

Walmart has very attractive prices on everyday items, so I visit here when need those items. I'm single so don't need to shop that much. Because Walmart has such competitive prices, the stores are almost always mobbed with shoppers. I don't like crowds, so I don't go to their stores as often as I otherwise might. Despite long, slow checkout lines, only a few lines were open.

It's convenient and cheap, which is why I keep going back. Don't buy fresh produce or meat there. Even if the self checkout line is long, avoid the regular cashier's line, there's always issues and you end up regretting it.

It’s a Walmart, with all their big boxed goodness. But this one never seems to be well stocked and very messy. Lines get very long so expect to wait 15-30 minutes on line. Underground parking is nice to have but gets very hectic and frankly dangerous due to some drivers. The H street one seems better.

This is the best Walmart in DC. I know where everything is at. It's not scatterbrained like the other two, on H St and Georgia Ave. Those ones are my most u favorite word besides 'ratchet', 'ghetto'. Sorry. It ain't perfect nowhere is but it's easy to navigate and the customer service aren't that bad at all. You don't see items scattered through the store all the time either. So I always choose this one.

The best time to go is early afternoon. Majority of the product is stocked and the vendors are gone. Late morning, there are less people, but exciting may not be on the shelves yet. If you go in the evenings, majority of the common items are gone and there is a large crowd for ALL checkout lanes. The one off of Riggs Road is among the cleanest Walmart's I've been to in the DC/MD area. However, the parking garage is UNDER the building, so be prepared to smell car exhaust if you're driving.

I'm a country girl so this was an experience. First Wal-Mart with underground parking and an escalator. Closes at midnight instead of being open 24 hours but I also understand why. The staff were accommodating as well.

Very nice place to shop at. Lines at register are fast and convenient. This Walmart is less congested than the Walmart on H Street, NE, & Georgia Avenue, NW. Bus stop is right on the same block as Walmart, and the Fort Totten Metro is only about 3-4 blocks away.

Super fast and responsive pick up customer service. I ordered a 5-cups coffee maker and 24-qqty pack of V8 ENERGY online and the items were quickly ready for pickup even though they had to be shipped in from another State. There is also spacious and secure customer parking underneath the store. Unlike other Walmart stores, this location is indeed a Supercenter. Still to my order but sure I'll like them.

The best time to come here is early am or around 11pm.. I try to avoid the rush especially when getting alot of items. Now this is not a place to get fresh produce in my opinion. The avacodos are NEVER right...but for shelf items your safe. Underground parking, metro, and bus lines. The store is clean and organized friendly staff and self checkout. I haven't tried the bakery so I'm unsure of the quality.

Very new, very bright, very shiny, with apartment complexes up top. It's very car-oriented, which includes a parking lot. Not everything seems to be working quite yet, as it's so new. Employees are not fully trained. Escalator was down when I visited. Also, it's a Walmart.

It's one of the best places to grocery shop in the area. Unlike other Walmarts in the area it has its own produce section and providers an underground parking garage free of charge. They need more check out lanes open to prevent the long lines and half of their self check-out machines are malfunctioning. I'm still content with the amount of selection they have over local competitors.

Especially in the item Pick-up .There was a very kind and so caring associate who helped once I arrived to pick up my merchandise. The store is always stocked and the employee's actually smile, I had back surgery soI walk with a cane., I must just look like I am in pain, because every Walmart associate who saw me asked if i needed help .One associate even told me to rest a minute and she would go grab what i needed because I did not see it in the isle I was in, Everything is so worth going to Walmart on Riggs Road. Being that DC only has 2 Walmarts is VERYYYYY frustrating but my cashier Ashlie had the most PHENOMENAL customer service that I have ever seen in a grocery store and she made my experience 9x better because when I walked inside this Walmart location I wanted to turn around and walk back out because it was soooo CHAOTIC inside from the workers unloading items to all the customers inside trying to shop. I would definitely shop here again because of my experience with Ashlie :)

This is the best Walmart in the boundaries of Washington, DC that I've been to so far. Whenever I think of going to a DC Walmart I think of this one. The staff here is friendly and helpful. The store is always mostly clean and well stocked. As a former Walmart employee of an Academy store in a southern state. I know that it's almost impossible for the store to be completely clean and fully stocked all day every day. With that being said I can be highly critical when I go into a Walmart that isn't up to par in cleanliness & professionalism. This is my favorite Washington DC Walmart and will be until either they make a turn for the worse. Or another Walmart can take their title. For now, keep up the great work Management & Staff of the Riggs Road NE Walmart Supercenter! 👍🏾

Went to this Walmart instead of the one closer to my house because it was a supercenter, so I could get groceries but the produce section was limited and didn't have some of the things I needed.

Like any other walmart there were just too many people and the usual long lines. There was ample parking though. Customer service is what you would expect at a Walmart nothing to get excited about.

Wal-Mart has everything they need. I usually go to self check out. I had to go to register when I had to bag everything cause the casher was so lazy. She just slid the item on the scanner and her job is done.

Love this store they sell just what you are looking for: clothes, food, electronics, toys and home good items. They just might have what you are looking for.
