Reviews of Target
Today I was helped by Jere (I hope I am spelling this correct) She was the cashier at the pickup/return. I went to pickup an order of gingerbread houses but the items were no longer available. I could have gone to the shelves myself to get them (they still had them at the store) but she got a cart and went there herself and got me 15 gingerbread houses. She didn't have to do this! This is priceless! I wish every employee was this attentive. Thanks Jere!
My son and I was out for lunch and he specifically ask for this by name Thor's hammer he loves it ...If he loves it... I love it.. Five stars to Target..THANK YOU!!
I love shopping at target because it has everything that you might need in 1 location.
Bought stuff for my mom, pets, god daughters & myself. If I had a bigger suit case, I would have bought more stuff. All the aisle were laud out so attractively & easy to follow.
Staff was really helpful, wifi worked really well as my data didn't work & I was able to order my lyft
I like this target location. They have great staffing and handle weird people well. There was a guy loudly asking for money on the 52 Metro bus on the way to Target today. Then I go to Marshalls and then target. The same man from the metro bus is in Target's Christmas decoration section loudly asking everyone that walks by for money. Store personnel quickly escorted him out.
NO PARKING VALIDATION
Poor inventory. This is on a regular old Monday.
I asked for the product I was looking for, they checked in the back, and said it was too hard to get to and another employee would work on it, but they don’t know how long it will be.
This was at almost noon. Look at how few dairy products are on the shelf.
Staff continued to prove unhelpful. I asked four different employees where a type of product was and they each told me to find someone who worked in that dept. OR they just told me they “probably don’t have it” WITHOUT even looking or bothering to find where it should be!!
They tried to walk off but I said I am not satisfied until we find the shelf where it should be, and I’ve been looking for fifteen minutes.
Took all of that to get some help finding one little thing.
Very nice and clean store parking available in the basement, Only problem always low on the food inventor and produce and grocery.
Decent Target, people complain but it’s a city store.
Yes stock is low at times, but I’m used to it with the pandemic
The staff is pretty friendly and helpful. I’ve never waited long. Nice diversity too, represents neighborhood and that means a lot
Thank you Target
Decent range of products from the Ava & Viv line but the prices just seem too high for the quality - picked up a turtleneck top for $15 and it's already ripped.
Unfortunately I can't return this as I'm no where close to the US, it sucks!
The manager is very cool but the self checkout sucks! For the closing time, it's really midnight but when you call they said 11.
Great customer service. There is a guy with long curly hair in a ponytail (maybe he was Arab or Indian/Pakistani) that was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He not only helped me but I overheard him helping a few other customers as well. He had a great attitude, knew his stuff and even offered to get me an item from the back without me asking. Give him a raise or promote him or something—he’s making the team at this location look great!
Public restrooms which were fairly clean, Starbucks and Pizza Hut express inside as well as a great selection for a downtownish department store. Basement parking is $1.50/hr.
Too many people at this Target don't know where things are located. Also it's not easy to find out where something is located because there is not an easily accessible directory to use. So it's frustrating when you track down someone and then they don't even know where something is or they send you in the wrong direction.
I do want to give a shout out to Felicia who helped me pick up an online order. Most of the time when I interact with sales associates at Target they seem worn out and kind of cold. It doesn't bother me because, I get it they're dealing with a bunch of people all day while on their feet and it's exhausting and draining, and they don't get paid enough. So when I interact with a sales associate that's warm and welcoming it's different and I hope that Target knows they have a great team member.
Nice store, most of the shelves where empty like someone had been stockpiling for an apocalypse. The cashier was really friendly but was super busy and the Q took an age to go down
I love target and this location was pretty great. Nice, clean and organized store with a good selection of products that are actually in stock.
Every time I come here, the thing I made the trip for is out of stock or in the wrong aisle. Go to a different target.
We purchased the Element 65” TV, and after 3 days the backlight broke. We tried everything to fix it. Without a box or receipt in hand, we brought it back to see what may be possible to do. Associates TK, Nicole S, and Anton were able to use the debit card used to purchase to look up my receipt to get our return sorted. We so appreciate them going truly above and beyond to show us their compassion and excellent customer service.
Today was my first time ever in this store. I've certainly been at other locations throughout the DMV, but never at this one. The first thing that I noticed was that it is sparsely stocked with products. This could be due to the fact that this store is undergoing a renovation, but who knows. Needless to say, the place was bustling with shoppers on a Saturday afternoon. What I like about this location is they have a pretty good selection of grocery items. At first glance, it appeared that some of the produce items, and milk was priced slightly higher than what you would find at a grocery store. After walking around for a while,. Would say that at least a quarter of the store is dedicated to grocery products. I came in today and bought a gallon of milk and some dog food. The checkout process was easy as expected.
This place is standard. Not as nice as a suburban target that has more space to occupy. Stuff is often under stocked. But it’s fine.
Good store, could benefit from more helpful signage 😂 idk throw a digital map on the wall or something. but even though I got vertigo/whiplash/confused trying to find a suitcase (they're on the 2nd floor in the wayback) no complaints and the people are good. Most people do self checkout bc line passes fast, so don't be intimidated if it's long. Idk choose your adventure. Shoe section looks a litttle crazy in the afternoons, but that's consistent with the behaviors/type of people who live here lmao. Moving too fast, not putting stuff back, lowkey entitled ahaha
Super convenient location, as this is in walking distance from where I live. Usually pretty well stocked and clean. I love their wine section and frequent it often. Self checkout is pretty painless, however when its "down" be prepared for a long wait as they usually only have a couple of cashiers working.
This review is for the starbucks within target. My drinks were great but a little of a wait. The actual target was customary.
I shop a few times a year at this Target and enjoy their clean, bright and well stocked store. After my visit this week, I have one more reason to shop there. Two of the three employees I asked for help took the time to understand what I was asking. They were quite knowledgeable and eager to help. They must have been working for the store for at least a year, as they each had the information I needed at the ready, did not need to call and ask anyone else. Jakina, who was staffing the self check out stations was especially efficient and helpful, a credit to the management.
Shelves are poorly stocked. Stuff put where it doesn't belong which makes the price wrong. Tried to get target brand peanut butter and all the jars were damaged. Wish they would clean the self checkout registers. Dirt is embedded in the cracks. Most of the workers had masks on their chin. Nose and mouth exposed.
It's not my favorite target due to location but there's not much to complain about. I always find what I need and they have a decent selection. The parking situation isn't as horrible as other reviews have said. There's a parking garage and its $1.50 for an hour. That's insanely cheap people.
Mafalda was amazing… great customer service.
This Target has been my local target since it opened. I have never had any complaints about employees there since they opened. I think it's a very well organized store and the people who work there are very helpful!
This location is close and always has things we need in stock. I find myself grabbing food every month from this Target. It has two floors, well organized and super convenient. The staff is friendly and the lines move quick. They usually have a phone charger but due to corona that has been taken away. Only complaint I have is that the insides of the baskets are usually filthy.
this Target location itself is great for shopping and has a great selection of items. However, my experience here a couple days ago was not so great with their customer service. An employee at the customer service counter was really rude and had a bad attitude towards me and my son when we were coming to the counter just to ask a simple question about parking they do not validate parking but the parking garage is pretty inexpensive in this Target location as is. The employee said in a rude tone "hold up wait I'm not ready for you" as we had to wait in line to ask a simple question anyways.
Big store wit 2 levels, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, wine & beer section even fresh groceries...
This Supermarket is comfortable. It is a store very big. We bought a lot for the dinner.
This is not my nearest Target, but I've gone here a couple times to get specific items that this branch carried. Each time I went I appreciated the time the people at customer service took with me to make sure I got what I needed or was looking for.
I enjoyed my time at this Target because my shopping experience is always quick and easy. I also wanted to mention the great customer service shown by my cashier Ms.Mary.
As far as Target goes, reasonably small with a proportionally sized inventory to match. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bad store - just urban and smaller. Parking is underground, and not free. There are large elevators so you can wheel your shopping cart to your trunk. Occupies most of second and third floors of a mall. Not bad - also nothing to get excited for.
It was easy and friendly, and particularly useful right now when you don't know if stores have what you need. Also, the lpickup function allows you to pay online, just pick up with very little contact with Target employees. Perfect right now.
I'm a fan of Targets in the city. When I lived two blocks from this location, I'd go all the time for groceries, pillows, etc. Overall, this is a great store. For a city store, it's big (two levels), has a food area, and there are plenty of staff to help you. If you go, here are two things to know:
1) Fitting room: Despite having men's clothing on the second floor, only the first floor has a fitting room.
2) Staff: Most are amazing, but every once in awhile, you will encounter a staff member who is shockingly rude and abrasive.
Overall, this is a great store!
I dislike going to this Target. While it generally has everything you need from clothing to household items to grocery, it's always messy and crowded. The lines for checkout are always long and there never seem to be enough cashiers. I can usually find what I need, but it gets so crowded and busy on the weekends that a lot of items go out of stock quickly. When I didn't have a car and relied only on public transportation, this target was my only option in the city. Now that I have a car, I usually just drive out to the suburbs to a less crowded target.
It's nice to have a big store like Target within downtown. The aisles aren't huge and the lines are longer than what you'd find in the suburbs, but the amount of available parking is still obscene.
I purchased a large shelf from this Target yesterday. It was too heavy for me to carry. One associate, Markee, was an incredible help. He spent about 15-20 minutes helping me find a cart, checkout, and he even assisted me in bringing and loading the item to the car. It was Sunday night and this Target was super busy, so the fact he demonstrated such incredible customer service, was especially appreciated.
I like target but this location is really poorly managed with regards to the home/furniture section. The shelves are never stocked well and there are always huge lines of people at check-out. On the up side it is a fairly large Target so it's easy to move around. The smaller items (grocery, clothes, etc.) seem to be stocked alright. I wish there were more locations in the DC instead of this one which everyone flocks to.
Shantelle (Chantelle?? I'm misspelling this i think sorry!) who was working the register today (Friday!) at 8pm at the Colombia Heights Target was SUPER helpful and really nice! She answered my questions about sales item returns and I was like oh thank GOD because I canNOT spend this much on swimsuits that I haven't tried on yet :( I really appreciated it and her kindness was literally a bright point of my rainy and grim day. THANKS SHANTELLE!!! sorry for misspelling your name
It's nice to shop to me cause it's right on the subway station for me to travel especially when you don't have a car.
Usually well staffed. Almost always very busy. Excellent wine selection. On June 11, 2018, 5:25pm, they were totally out of Beyond Meat burger patties.
The Columbia Heights Target is a great stop for groceries and home goods. It's a fantastic resource for the neighborhood, and the multi-level construction offers a lot more floor space than you usually get with downtown Targets. Always feels clean, but checkout can be a bit of a wait during rush times.
This Target is very nice for a city location. It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the neat escalator allowed you to bring your cart to the other level. I would definitely go back to this target.
The customer service representative was a bit rude to my friend when picking up one of my online orders. The beauty blender ordered looks different than the one advertised on the website. Other than that, the products bought are great.
Friendliness of Team Members and curated assortments. Recurring issues with out of stock essentials such as produce and dairy items as well as dry goods.
My order was ready within the 4 hr window. When my sister went to pick the order up she didn't have any run arounds. The order was ready to go. Something I appreciated a lot.
It's fine - it's a regular target. The good news is it is across the street from the Metro (the only one in the DC area, I think); the bad news is that particular Metro - #ColumbiaHeights - is surrounded by an open-air drug market. ( Cops know: - they say, 'hey, we chase them out; they come right back') Fortunately, there has been only one shooting so far this year (yea!), but keep your hand on your wallet, and be prepared to walk through a lot of second hand cigarette smoke between Metro and Target.
The three stars are for convenient location and because I just like target. Otherwise, this place is always packed, looks like it's been looted, and often doesn't have what I want. The staff is consistently pleasant and clearly are working really hard to make it better though, so, I shouldn't complain too much
It's nice having a Target in the city, the location is pretty convenient but the traffic around the shopping center can be pretty terrible. The store itself usually really busy, but the lines aren't terribly long. Unfortunately the employees can be kind of rude.
The entrance to this store is inside a shopping mall with some other stores including a Best Buy and a Marshalls. Outside the mall are often a lot of homeless folks panhandling, which isn't uncommon in the city in most big cities. The store itself it two floors and there is a cart escalator for easy access to both. There is a Starbucks and food counter at this location. The real highlight of this store is definitely the beer and wine section which was added on a few years ago. It can be a crowded and busy store and the lines can be long, but they usually move quickly.
They have an excellent way of showing items and good customer service.
My main experience with this Target is in its bike section. I tried to buy a bike there, but the wheels were flat and out of alignment. It took their bike guy 40 minutes to deal with the flat tires, but he did not straighten the front wheel, saying "all new bikes should probably be taken in for a tune-up." I returned the bike. Other than that I haven't had a negative experience in the store.
While the Target here has significantly boosted the economy of Columbia Heights, I am sometimes left unimpressed by the service (or lack thereof) and the quality of fresh food. Otherwise the staff do their best to keep the store clean and orderly.
Merchandise is divided by their multiple floors, which can be a bit hard to navigate if you haven't been to the store before. I also found it slightly harder to find help than with the usual Target.
That said, the store is tidy, and the prices are fair which makes it the likable experience that it often is to shop at their stores.
Target is complet, has all to the home: grocery, decorative, clothes, etc.. I like target always, the store is clean, safe and very good team
As a big box store, this is merely an average store. It’s always swamped, but has a huge selection and is super convenient to get to this location from the metro. So why five stars?
This has to be one of the best people watching spots in the district, along with the 14th st drag right in front of the building. Every walk of life is represented at this place. It is amazing to watch if you can forget the 24-pack of toilet paper for a minute.
Both a vibrant town square and a milquetoast store rolled into one. Send an anthropologist in here to chronicle our civilization for posterity.
This Target is hit or miss. It's far too crowded, lines are long, cashiers process people slowly, and there's an awful lot of loitering that I can never understand. It's not Target's fault, but its location, while convenient, attracts people who don't always have the same sense of efficiency when running errands. Weekdays are a breeze; nights and weekends can be frustrating.
While Target offers a great selection of a wide range of products, this Target in particular has some pretty serious management issues. Staff often just seem oblivious or disinterested at best and lines can get outrageously long. Unfortunately we've taken to just shopping earlier in the day before the place turns into a giant, disorganized mess. This location offers a Target Cafe as well as a Starbucks.
Staff is friendly, the lines are always long no matter what time I go there. The location is convenient. The people who work in customer service are nice. Pretty expensive. They sell just about anything you want.
Easy to see right off 14th street servicing North West and the adjoining areas of Washington DC. Plenty of parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance to. Clean facilities. Public Restrooms. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. We will most likely be going back.
Had a terrible experience with a cashier, he just proceeded to ring my items and put them in the bags I don't really need and charged me without botherin to ask. Also the sale signs are out of date. I still go here for quick shopping.
It's super convenient and they have great customer service. The staff is always willing to help; there have been times when I didn't ask for help, but simply looked lost or confused, and a staff jumped to my assistance. This target always seems to have what I need as well. No complaints here..
I've never had a bad experience there. It's usually got everything I need and I never regret trusting their selection on items I don't know much about. I'm looking at you TV antenna! (it's been great)
Nice clean store, finding things was easy but as a new mother they don't carry a variety of baby products so I had to settle for what they had (some of which don't have the best reviews). But the staff was helpful. It's a good store.
My experience was mediocre at best. The store only had 2 of the 8 items I was shopping for and the cashier was dry and not friendly at all. I had to tell her to have a nice day and when I said it she looked at me crazy and like she was mad about it. Go figure.
I have had nothing but positive experiences at this Target. It is pretty darn convenient (across the street from the Columbia Heights Metro station). After moving away from Minneapolis, it's refreshing to have a taste of home that supports the community!
Great store for just about anything you need. The layout makes things easy to find and the workers are all helpful. Couldn't find swimwear there during the fall season, but I suppose that makes sense.
Ah the dangers of passing a target every day on your way to work, you become quite familiar with the store. Huge store, many options but also tends to be pretty busy and can easily get backed up, disturbing the flow of the store.
The customer service at this store is atrocious. The staff is no help at all when you ask a question, and make it seem like a chore. On a separate occasion I called to get a part replaced (lamp came out of the box without a part) and they first refused to entertain the possibility of giving me an email address so I could explain the piece that was missing, then hung up on me when I asked for a manager.
I go to this Target out of convenience, but the customer service is a C at best. You enter this Target from the second floor, which can be inconvenient when in a rush or have larger items. There is an elevator, but it is tied up many times. Also, the Starbuck's area is never clean.
I love this target, they finally opened a self checkout and I am so happy that I don’t have wait in long lines now and the staff is very helpful
It's ok, the same people seem more into there conversation and they really can't tell you too much about products..too nonchalant..but if you just wanna pickup items you need and not ask questions this is a cool place. Also I like that above in the same building there is a indoor playground called magic playground😊 …
I just love coming here because I can buy groceries, if I am hungry I can buy pizza Hut, if I want a hot tea / chocolate from Starbucks I can have it all in one place. Plus Columbia Heights metro station is a few steps away. Bus stop is across the street
Compliments to the team at Target in Columbia Heights. The folks there went out of their way to smooth out hitches with my purchase of a Schwinn bicycle. Very much appreciate their work on this.
The cashier was very helpful and friendly. I have an overall positve experience at Target.
Great location right in the center of Columbia Heights. Medium sized-has most of everything you'd come to expect a Target would have. Also has about 8 auto-checkout lanes if you're in a hurry.
This is a very large target and typically had everything you need. I have shopped here several times and found the store to be clean and well stocked. I also have found their staff to be really helpful.
I love this Target. It is not the biggest Target and they don't have absolutely everything in store - but they are super friendly and helpful and will order anything thats not in the store for you. Great customer service!
Great location in DC. I’ve been going for years and haven’t had any issues. I will say the weekends are super busy, especially Sunday but that comes with the territory.
When in a rush, the electronics department was very helpful. One cashier stopped eating lunch to help me and also to check me out. Very helpful people, but confusing store layout.
There was a long line at the puck up counter but I waited less than 5 minutes to be serve . That's efficiency.
They had what I needed to get for my kids and self. I usually evaluate the courtesy of the staff and there is always someone walking around if you need them. This was last year sometime.
Very clean store, able to find everything, and no long lines. Restrooms were clean but most of the door lock were broken, no way to feel safe while using restroom.
The in-store experience is most important to me. I really value the ease of navigating through my store and speediness of check out.
Great service the cashier was really nice and talkative which I love and in store pick up was really fast. A lot of LGBT Pride stuff too so I bought a ton of rainbow things.
Outstanding customer service. I was extremely impressed with the level of customer service received at the Columbia Heights store in DC. Kudos!!
It's the best (only) Target in the area. It definitely is a very big store and usually the lines move quickly. Sometimes the inventory is a bit disorganized though.
long as lines but good products !! I wish they had more cashiers available not just 3, that's so unprofessional.
Found some good bags. Very convenient. Right out of the metro station 👌 …
No one yells at us when me and my wife goof off a bit. I think they know us by now but we always buy something. #1 place to walk to nearby
It's the most convenient big box store near downtown being right off the green line, you can find lower prices here compared to other stores around but it's nowhere near as huge as the suburban mega-stores.
The folks working there have always been absolutely wonderful even though their lines are massive. So much props and kudos for being very customer service driven in all of that pressure.
The biggest and best target I ever been to. They have absolutely everything you could think of, definitely consider a one stop shop, including spirits.
Never enough seating to eat,its never clean in that area also there they run out of food at the service area. Its quite busy there and never enough people working to assist or have a good selection of food.
It's target. Avoid going on weekends or after work...very busy, long lines, cashiers tend to be slow and spend more time engaged in personal conversation than getting people through the lines.
I like this Target. They usually have what I want and the employees are helpful. Once in a while you encounter employees who are playing around when you're trying to check out.
All but positive experiences at this Target. It is pretty darn convenient (across the street from the Columbia Heights Metro station). Parking available underground for 1 dollars.
Super convenient -- right off the green line metro. Like every other Target, they offer a variety of products making it super easy to get pretty much everything on your shopping list.
Crowded. Hard to get to by car and you pay for parking. Good option if you live in Columbia Heights but otherwise I prefer driving to the Northern Virginia. It tends to be easier.
Love this place not only do they have great prices but the staff there is great and i love there fast lines. You can always get a good deal at target.
Clean store and bathrooms. Employees all friendly and helpful. Prices are right. Quality merchandise!! Visually attractive displays of merchandise.
I only go to this target because of the location but it is hard finding a sales associate for questions in clothes, it seems like everyone is ringing. Starbucks needs some TLC cause it's dirty every time I come.
Convenience. They have most everything. Downside is that most associates lack customer service. It can be like dealing with former gang members in a rehab program.
lines was lil long need more cashier less people on the floor but other then that
The prices and inventory were better than expected. Would want to return with greater frequency.
It's one of the few places in actual DC where you shop at a Target, but because of this, the lines are always long. Also, it's monstrous and very easy to get lost.
Overcrowded and confusing needs an in-store map app to find things!!!
This location is usually clean, well stocked and the employees always know where tour your requested item(s) is located
Very quick. The gentleman who help me was so nice!! He made sure my order was perfect!
Large target, has everything you need, usually clean and organized. Sometimes the checkout lines can be long at times.
Good prices and I love your sale prices and express line it's faster than the Cashier lines!
Close, Convenient, I love having a Target in the area. However the self checkout line is always long.
Friendly staff but super busy all the time. Definitely try to go during off peak hours and not on the weekends.
This place is always a mess. They are never stock up.the bathroom are nasty but i guess as the only. target in town it works for most.
The store was clean, but crowded. I couldn't find an employee to help me for a while so I just left.
Always clean & neat. I can find everything I want & need. Customer service is great.
Usually not the best on stock but the staff is nice and the store is clean.
I would say that this store is somewhat mediocre in terms of goods and services. It's not bad, but it could be better.
Definitely not the cleanest and not always well stocked, but usually good for your household essentials.
Courtesy and friendliness of staff together with having a variety of needed products.
Decent Target B+ Please ADD Curbside in Parking Deck
This is a perfectly good target, but parking is not free and it's very crowded. It does have groceries which is a huge plus.
I enjoyed walking around in the store isle wide and everything nice and visible will visit the store soon.
Target, if you read this, give the lady at customer service who helps people at the checkout a raise! One of the friendliest people i've met!
A good location. Has all the things. Always choose the self-checkout line. Always.
idk i’ve never even been to usa
Its clean the Associates friendly and knowledgeable the bathrooms are clean this target inside a mall with other stores
Target clothing is more inexpensive and it good for your budget and compare other High end stores
The employees are courteous and target is close and convient. This is a place I wouldn't mind working
I love the store pickup options for shopping via the app and the website. Such a convenient way to shop.
Great location right off the metro. Store is adequately stocked and staff are pretty helpful.
I was promptly assisted by the team member & she was pleasant.
This seems like one of the more well stocked Targets that I've been to located in a city. They use their space well.
Reasonable prices, wide selection on merchandise from food to electronics, clothes, etc. Convenient location near metro
Had trouble scanning an item at self checkout and the gentleman associate offered no assistance. Disappointing.
Long lines with only 4 lanes open at 6:30pm, the staff is very friendly & the store is very clean, however I stood in line for over 20 minutes.
Closest Target to DC.
Divided onto two floors with a large selection.
Also offer free wifi which is a bonus.
Hey target, how about hiring s
ome people for customer support and to check people out
I waited 20 mins to give you money
This is your standard target with a grocery store. It's not the best target I've ever been to but its not the worst.
The Customer Service Rep (Luna) was very helpful.
I've been an avid shopper of Target. I love their brands and prices.
Target has almost anything I could think of buying or of needing. I also like their self checkout machines.
Always packed no matter when you go. Overall great customer service and friendly management.
Only target in DC. Easy underground parking and metro accessible. Tends to have everything you would expect of target.
A little worse than your average surburban Target, long lines, sometimes the shelves are missing items.
I love it it has a lot of coll stuff including Starbucks... Oh yeah oh yeah!!
Had what we needed to get. What a sketchy parking garage and atmosphere. Keep looking over your shoulder.
Always a great experience. Quick self checkout lines.

This by far is my favorite store it has everything I need down to groceries
It's a standard target. Pretty busy, but it serves most of DC so that's understandable.

This location is always a bit sketchy and the staff isn't the most helpful. It's also not that large.
My only issue with it is the lack of variety in their choices of men's personal care stuff.
